"Brother’s Wings & Bings, a cheeky hole-in-the-wall on SW Barbur, is stuffing bing with domestic favorites like teriyaki chicken, Mongolian beef, and the more-traditional pork sung. Tucked in a strip mall, Brother’s pairs its eclectic specialty with fried chicken, specifically wings and tenders with flavors like Cajun, Caribbean jerk, and mango habanero. Brother’s owns its identity as an Americanized bing shop: “While keeping the basic characteristics of the traditional, our bing is further developed and adjusted to the tastes of westerners,” the menu reads. It’s not the only spot in town hawking the Chinese street food: Food cart Bing Mi has accrued rave reviews and serious lines for its pretty traditional version with egg and chili paste, while Master Kong has recently entered the market with pork belly and vegetarian versions. The hottest part of Brother’s is its location: In deep Southwest Portland, it serves as a bing stop for folks unwilling to schlep to Beaverton, downtown, or 82nd. Pop in, or order delivery through the website." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Google
Me and the wife tried wings and bings today to see what all the hype was about overall it was okay nothing to extreme or overrated we got Buffalo wings and mango habanero which let me tell it it was not hot at all there was no kick to it all all which was kind of disappointing just due to the fact we like it spicy. We also got some onion rings because we are big fans of onion rings as well as a order of fries which I have to say the were the signature of it all there was a review that someone left saying they tasted like McDonald’s fries I would have to agree but they add a seasoning on it that just makes it a little bit better. Prices were fair we would go again in the future just maybe for a little less than what we got gotta try it before you judge it.

Honestly, it can be hard to find affordable food these days that tastes great, but this place is an exception. Their chicken is delicious and cheap at the same time. In addition, they have satisfying scallion pancakes as a wonderful appetizer. What stops me from giving the place five stars is the long wait and lack of a decent interior area to wait inside.

Google
We ordered Sichuan pepper salt chicken nuggets, I was expecting something spicy and numbing, but it tasted just like the regular chicken nuggets except 3 dollars more. Very disappointed.

Google
Life changing lemon pepper wings. I've had a lot of lemon pepper wings, this place makes them so damn fresh. Get the bone in dry lemon pepper rubbed wings, it's just so good. Might even be the best I've had. And like I said it's so fresh every time I can't even touch it for 10 minutes cuz its so hot so this place will be amazing for takeout. I gotta try more of the menu but I'm coming back for just these

Google
My first time there: I ordered the Classic bing (with spicy option) (sriracha) Ordered online for the 15% off deal if you pick it up It was ready in less than 10 mins. Run by some very nice people. Imagine a plain crepe. It’s texture and flavor. Imagine that crepe putting on a light jacket. That jacket is scrambled eggs. Now fill it with ham and cabbage and dry pork and other fresh things like scallions. Now tuck that eggy crepe into an aluminum foil blanket, ready to pick up and eat mess-free. Good stuff. The crispy cracker part added a nice crunch.

Google
Good local business serving Asian cuisine, tried fried rice and tofu, was tasty and filling. Food ready in less than 15 mins and it is cook to order. Outside dining available, parking in common area.

Google
I had to give this a 2 star rating overall due to the service. I’ve worked in the customer service industry, and there are certain things you don’t do or say, even if the customer is at fault. I had accidentally knocked over the tip jar, that was placed so close to where they hand you the food, and on this tiny ledge. The cashier immediately goes, “oh my God”, in an annoyed tone. I picked it up and tried to help him put it back together and he had an attitude. Never going back again for that reason. Plus, I was going to tip in cash when I got there, but that gave me a reason not to. It’s sad to say, I came back to visit my family and thought maybe Bethany would have great service like Atlanta, but it doesn’t.

I eat here fairly often, and my favorite things to get are the popcorn chicken, teriyaki bento box, and the teriyaki bing. (I forgot to take a picture of the food before I started eating 😅)

Andrew A.

Yelp
You might be tempted to eat here if the awesome duck restaurant next door runs out of food. Well, temper your expectations. The Green Onion Pancake was very good, but the Xiao Long Bao and Pork Dumplings were barely memorable. You know it's meh if there's leftover dumplings with a party of four. Also, the order took a very long time with no other customers. Seems like my experience resembled that of other reviewers.

John L.

Yelp
Small kiosk stall where you have to either take out or eat at one of the tables outside that is shared with many other restaurants. It's like a food pod but brick and mortar. That said, the wings here are some of the best ever. The Sichuan pepper flavor is both delicious and unique. The wraps (bings) are Chinese burritos that have a crusty crunch and flavor that it's a delight.

Chris H.

Yelp
What in the world was this place? lol i got their combo fried rice which you can tell uses absolutely no MSG so flavor was terrible - for a combination i counted 2 slices of beef and 2 small shrimp and 10 tofu pieces - their cans of soda was the best thing. Parking was a complete disaster. Their small order of wings were so tiny and had such little flavor and were so dry. This brother and sister hole in the wall somehow holds on but guys please don't even bother.

Dan I.

Yelp
Don't got any photos but it's a nice place. First of all the portions are normal sized for what your paying. I usually get the bento box with teriyaki chicken. It comes with 5+ pieces of teriyaki chicken, rice, and asparagus. It's kind of overpriced for how much it gives (11.99$ around there i remember) since $10 could get u chipotle but for what's in the area I guess it's okay. The service is good but sometimes I come back and I'm not sure if the food is done or not. They should probably get the buzzing button thing so people know when to get their food because i might come back 30 mins later for it to already be done when it was 10 mins. The inside of very small, no space for seating but there's seating outside everywhere so that makes up for it. I like the place but it just needs some changing, that's all.

Kailin Z.

Yelp
We ordered Sichuan pepper salt chicken nuggets, I was expecting something spicy and numbing, but it tasted just like the regular chicken nuggets except 3 dollars more. Very disappointed.

Jeff M.

Yelp
The chicken was super dry and the brother's salt was just...salt. The beef roll was also not up to par and was overly dry as well. This was just a disappointing meal

Helen L.

Yelp
I am very disappointed. I was hoping the chicken wings is good but they were dry and lack of taste - the sauce does not stick - it is worse than the frozen wings The popcorn chicken does not taste fresh..The noodle does not have much taste - overall, i will not recommend this place unless you like dry chicken nuggets!

Alyssa S.

Yelp
The wings were REALLY dry and didn't have a lot of flavor. The "Orange Chicken Bento" was very tasty, the chicken was yummy and the rice was perfect. I would give the "Orange Chicken Bento" meal a 10/10!

Kayln C.

Yelp
My kids and I try and eat here once a week. We love the wings and the orange chicken bento box. It's a good price for what you get!

Jesse B.

Yelp
Food is consistently good and fast. I recommend the teriyaki chicken bento as it's really tasty with a large serving of chicken, rice and tasty baked green beans.

Arnold C.

Yelp
The location I commonly go to is the Bethany location. They always prepare the food quickly, have delicious wings with several flavors to choose from, and always have the food nice and hot. I mainly go there for the wings, but I've also tried their shrimp fried rice and that is also amazing! Give them a try when you're around and you won't regret it. Everyone is always friendly too.

Jina H.

Yelp
In the area and for a Sunday not a ot was open, found this spot and liked the variety of wings and bings. I haven't had a bing before but the emoloyee was very helpful. She recommended the classic and said they could adjust the spicy level too. It seems that the fillings are generally the same with the protein choice being different. A smal space inside but heated lamps and outdoor seating make it convenient. Order came out really fast and packaged so well. Order ticket on the outside of the paper bag and also order stamped on the box so things are checked than once. Plenty of napkins and silverware included in the bag. The bing was quite large and filling so I saved the other half. The spice level was spot on and the savory flavors too worked well together and the richness of the sesame seeds too added a nice texture as well as flavor. Clear sign to wear a mask when entering and employee wearing a mask as well. Clear organization in taking pandemic precautions.

Yelp
Yet another entry into the Bethany mini restaurants. They seem to come and go. These are not sit down places. Think indoor food stand. There is some outdoor seating which is nicer in better weather. My kid has frequented this one with friends and gives it a hearty teens eat everything endorsement. Last night while I was still working the teens were hungry and ordered delivery. I would say if you are up for greasy, salty, artery clogging hangover food type goodness this is for you. I tried it all. Nothing was BAD, but nothing was outright amazing either. The order: 25 wings - 3 sauces. BBQ, Mango habanero ( definite kick but not overwhelming), and teriyaki. Mostly the flat wing pieces not the drumettes. Well cooked. Ranch costs an extra .99. We also got extra celery and carrot sticks for .99. Ham fried rice - fine. Expensive. Big amount tho'. Kid ate this for breakfast the next morning. Potstickers - deep fried. Packaged sauce. I prefer potstickers that are actually cooked in a pan with one crispy brown side and one steamed side, you know the ones? But I get it. This is a fast food potsticker. Fries - surprisingly decent. Crispy. Onion rings - yeah, outta the bag. But they were tasty and hot and crunchy. The kind where it's not from a sliced onion but diced bits. Which some members of my tribe prefer because the whole thing doesn't shred when you bite into it. They provided ketchup, napkins, a spoon, soy sauce, hot chili oil, and plastic gloves (?) I guess to use while eating the wings.... I would give it a 3.5. I think the prices are a little high. The kids say 4. You have to look at it in its context. Is it Pok Pok or Shandong? Nope. Think food truck or mall food stand. Oh, and they are open until 9 or 9:30 at this location. Not a lot of late night options in Bethany. Next time the kids get food I am going to try a Bing. Looks like there MIGHT be veggies in it.

Kevin W.

Yelp
I ordered delivery from here and I was not impressed. No complaints about the delivery time or driver. The quality of food was way below what I paid. I ordered 4 chicken strips. The strips are much smaller than the pictures. The quality of the meat was low. You could tell that the strips were manufactured into cubes before coated and fried. The fried rice was unimpressive for its price. The beef bing was actually decent. Will not return.

Justine D.

Yelp
Very reasonably priced Chinese style pancakes! Different flavors available, and all served with veggies and meat. I loved how the pancake was fried with egg and dough, and wrapped all together it was a delicious fusion experience. I would also say that for the price we got a ton of food. We bought the pancake and wing combination, and the meat was fairly crispy.

Lesley L.

Yelp
This place makes giant bings! They are different than the ones I've gotten from carts around town in that they are HUGE, and they get their crunch from raw cabbage rather than fried won ton skin, which makes me think they might actually be healthy. I had forgotten how large they were and told my hungry friend he should order 2, but then he couldn't finish both! They are well seasoned, you can still pick them up to eat them burrito style. I got teriyaki chicken, he got Mongolian beef, both were tasty. I would go back for the bings. However, I keep ordering the combo where you get a bing and 6 wings. I think one time, the wings were good so I keep giving the benefit of the doubt, but I don't think I'll get wings again because they are consistently TINY, especially in comparison to the bings, they are also dry, probably because they are so tiny. Not recommended unless they start using larger wings. We also got a side of egg rolls, they were fine, pretty generic and I'm sure they don't make them there. If you're in the mood for standard Chinese restaurant egg rolls, you can satisfy your craving here! They do call ahead orders, I think they had mine done earlier than they said it would be done. They have plexiglas, everyone wears a mask.

Jordan K.

Yelp
Ordered combo 1 which comes with a bing and 6 wings with one flavor option. The wings are pretty good. The Mongolian beef bing was decent. I wish there was a crispy wonton chip in the middle like the other places that I had tried. I will be back to try the other items on the menu.

Rikki J.

Yelp
We drove from Tacoma, Wa. twice to have these wings. My spouse loves the old bay wings and when we come to Portland, we have to get him some of the wings! They are perfect size and fried perfectly! Just the right amount of rub too. Very good!

Ryan L.

Yelp
Great wings! The place to go for everything from the hottest dry rub around (Bro's Ghost) to a great traditional Buffalo sauce. The wings themselves are pretty good size, I'd say above average. The only reason that they get 4 stars instead of 5 is that they just closed the location down that is closest to me. While this may not affect everyone, I have to imagine that this is going to cut their customers in half, with 50% saying no to the geographic challenges of driving from SW Portland to Bethany, which is in the NW burn of PDX. I will say that the wings are worth it enough for me to make 1 one-hour round trip per week to get their wings.

Abu Idris S.

Yelp
Ordered takeout, got the vegetable chow mein and orange chicken. When got home chow mein had pork all in it. I called the restaurant back and the guy started arguing with me telling me there was no meat on it. When I told him I don't eat pork , he then said it wasn't pork but it was ham.... I was absolutely dumbfounded. How do you run a restaurant and not know that pork and ham is both from a pig. Then he starting arguing me by asking me what type of pork is it? The orange chicken was absolutely disgusting and inedible! When I told him that , he then stated bring the food back so HE CAN SERVE IT TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER!!! That was the only way he was going to give me a refund! I told him no way would I do that. Don't walk away from this place, run from it!!!

Henry P.

Yelp
We ordered mild no spice wings. I saw the guy pour tons of hot sauce in the bowl and mixed it with the wings. I called him on it but he said there's no spice on the wings. Then he said mild means little spicy. This is what we got. Basically wings drenched with Tabasco sauce. My advice, own up to your mistakes if you want returning customers.

Ethan B.

Yelp
As others have indicated, the quality of the chicken here leaves something to be desired. Tiny, often dry wings and too-sweet teriyaki play against the favor of this place. However, it's affordable, and the only option for wings in the Village, so it's worth seeing if your opinion varies from mine.

Joe G.

Yelp
I love wings. I used to eat wings back in the 80's when they were 10 cents each on happy hour and full of meat. I had my face on the wall at Wings to Go back in the day. Ordered 15 piece half jerk half buffalo and some onion rings. $18. Jerk wings were just sprinkled with a little dry seasoning. Not a wet spice sauce and not particularly flavorful or "jerk" at all. Buffalo wings were standard issue sauced. All the wings were small and a few in particular were really, really tiny. They were "we probably shouldn't serve these but oh well" tiny. They were the kind of timy that makes you question the health of the chicken. The onion rings were cheapie burger king style. For what they charge they should do a lot better. I dont know when these little micro restaurants in bethany village are going to learn... just because people in this neighborhood are well off doesn't make them fools. WE NEED BETTER VALUE OUT OF THESE PLACES. That's why they are a constant revolving door of new food spots that never succeed. We graciously try them once, are left feeling like we paid too much for way too little and never return. Either they do better on cost and/or product or they are gone in 6 months like all the others.

Mobby K.

Yelp
I like wings. I like bings, pancake, and the other options. Sichuan Wings plus green onion pancake is magic. This place is a gem. I wouldn't take away stars because their location closest to me closed. I don't get that logic but each their own. The food is delicious and the people are kind.

Mona B.

Yelp
Ordered fried rice and wings. Fried rice has no flavor. Chicken wings also no flavor. It didn't come with dressing or blue cheese sauce. You have to pay extra for the sauce. The parking in the area was crowded. It's not worth what you paid for.

Arun S.

Yelp
Delicious wings. I took mango Habanero.Sauce list almost match up with what's there in Wild wings. Mongolian Beef Bing was good too. It's a quick grab and go place. Seating is available outside. But no heaters outside during fall or winter.

Lena H.

Yelp
The best fried rice in Bethany!! Service is always great and fast, would definitely recommend this place for their wings and fried rice!

Sim G.

Yelp
I ordered a combo with a bing and chicken tenders. The spicy cumin seasoning for the tenders wasn't spicy at all and I really didn't taste any cumin. The tenders weren't seasoned evenly either. The bing wasn't what I expected -- it was really like an omelette, but the egg was soggy and almost had a rubber-like texture. I ordered the classic pork, so I was expecting marinated pork chunks or some sort inside, but it had slices of ham like one would get from sandwich place. It was also excessively salty.

Scott N.

Yelp
This fascinating take out restaurant is located in Bethany Village. Interestingly it specializes in Chicken Wings and Bings. I'm sure you know what wings are. However, what the heck is a Bing? Jianbing is China's most popular street breakfast. In the past I've heard Bings described as Chinese pancakes, crepes, and burritos. Actually all of the above are true. A Bing starts out as a wheat and mung bean flour batter cooked on a grill. To that they add scrambled egg, vegetables, crispy crackers, and typically a protein. Brother's Wings & Bings does offer a veggie Bing. The Bings here cost around $10. They are filling, inexpensive, delicious, and easy to eat. Your child could probably eat a Bing without getting it on herself or himself. In addition to Bings they offer tenders, combos, rice dishes, Chow Mein, and Bentos. The combination Chow Mein is a standout. Delicious and so dense with food that I couldn't eat for the rest of the day. The staff is friendly and online ordering is a breeze. In the mood for Chinese takeout? Be adventurous and go to Brother's Wings & Bings!

Juan D.

Yelp
Saw the bad reviews but figured I'd still give this place a shot since it's local and we haven't tried many places around Bethany. This was by far not only the worst orange chicken we've had but also the most terribly cooked white rice.... which I didn't know was possible to mess up. Panda Express comes out looking like a saint. Normally if I have a bad first experience at a local place I like to give them the benefit of the doubt and try at least one more time. That will not be happening here. The orange chicken not only had minimal amounts of chicken in it but was also severely burnt and lacked sauce. The white rice tasted like it came out of a cheap Teflon coated rice cooker + was dry. We stomached about a quarter of the 1 person meal and had to trash the rest. I ended up puking in the middle of the night; thankfully my wife took medicine and was alright. If I had to choose between here and Taco Bell around the corner, I'd choose Taco Bell. The last time I had Taco Bell was 5 years ago; I hope that speaks for itself. Try literally anything else!

Tom H.

Yelp
Very rarely do I leave bad reviews. That said, very rarely do I find food completely inedible. I'm not joking, I took a couple of bites and quit. Let's start with the 'Bing'. The flavor profile was somewhat similar to banh mi, a very bad banh mi, without the baguette. Instead this was basically an omelette, a very bad omelette. For the meat, I chose pork. I expected flavorful, seasoned chunks of pork. Not the case. Instead, I got slices of ham (think deli meat) and flavorless shredded pork, or should I say dust? It was like pork powder, seriously. Now let's talk about the wings. I love buffalo wings, like, really love buffalo wings. I have to say, the sauce wasn't terrible (though, some blue cheese on side wouldn't have gone a miss). My issue here was the size of the wings. They were TINY!!! I'm questioning whether, or not these came from a chicken?? Is anybody missing their pet budgie?? Overall, I was really curious about this place for a long time. I finally gave it a try. It sounded good. - Major disappointment. Don't waste your money.

Skyler B.

Yelp
This place is sooo damn good! Quality chicken wings and a great price!! Never lets me down and is my go to wing place. I'll be telling all my friends and family about this place for sure! Forgot to mention... wings are keto friendly with the dry rubs and hot sauces!! Love it!!

Keasha K.

Yelp
Dry dry dry!! Those wings were not fresh. I didn't receive the full amount ordered and paid for either. First and Definitely the last time I will order there.

Nanshan L.

Yelp
I was excited when I saw it is selling Bing. I ordered Bing and orange chicken. I was so disappointed when I saw the Bing. It is totally different from what I are from before. It had precooked beef and cabbage and they taste terrible. I ended up dumping it. And the orange chicken was tough to eat also and it had too much sauce. I do not think I will visit it again

Trever P.

Yelp
The spicy Mongolian beef bing was great. Ordered online and it was ready right away.

Pearl B.

Yelp
I wish we had tender or popcorn chicken instead. It might not need a review. The wings are so low quality. They are SMALLEST wings I have ever seen. Like unhealthy chicken wings. They are skinny dried meat and crust not crisp. They obviously been in freezer for a long time. If you want sticky cheap wings go here. This place don't know how to cook. Let's put it this way they make Buffalo Wild Wings so good all the sudden.

Brett B.

Yelp
I'm from NY, so I have high expectations for a wing place. I was excited to have a wing place in my hood and was disappointed when they were mediocre. I've gone twice and ordered extra crispy both times, but they weren't crispy either time and they're sauce was watery. Unfortunately, they make BDubs look good.

Mike C.

Yelp
Opening day, 2 orders of combo #1 (pork bing and wings + beef bing and wings). The "pork" was lunch meat slices inside the omelette, alongside raw cabbage. This is not a crepe style bing as in the photos, they are more like a thin soggy omelette. So it's not a hand food, came in a box with folk and knife... The Mongolian beef tasted very bland and maybe 3-4 little pieces beef inside. Again, cabbage should be cooked with the rest of the stuffing, but was still raw and crunchy. These are not a grab and go and for the price is not for eating on the curbside either. Free sesame balls were good, but not enough to redeem.

Ben E.

Yelp
I have no clue what I just ate when I ordered a bing but let me tell you bong bitty bum bum bitty bitty bing bing it was tasty.

Emily G.

Yelp
The food is very good, would totally recommend for kids or adults. The wait has been a bit long in the past but the food is worth it. The old bay chicken strips are my favorite, very good for seafood lovers.

Nelly S.

Yelp
Ordered through Uber eats, had the 6 piece lemon pepper with fried rice and it was delicious. The wings were perfectly seasoned and the fried rice was right on.

Jonah H.

Yelp
Best late night food option in bethany by far. Good chicken tenders, wings and fried rice. Not cheap but good if you have the $$$ to spend late night

Rob B.

Yelp
Many choices for all tastes from flavor to meal suggestions. Good size offers as well as prices. I have returned for menu exploring and variety.

Corey A.

Yelp
I had a Mongolian beef Bing. Super tasty, though a bit messy. My wife had the ghost pepper chicken tenders, which although super hot as you'd expect, are also quite flavorful. I'm not sure what other spices they use, but the coating hit a lot of notes in my mouth. I knocked off one star because they are a bit on the expensive side. On a positive note though, they do free delivery in the area, and if you do an online order there is a 10% discount if you pick it up yourself. So is the delivery truly free? Nope, just marketing, but at least it's a 10% discount over a walk in order. Definitely will be going back, probably using online ordering.

Amity F.

Yelp
I LOVE THEIR LEMON PEPPER CHICKEN!!!! It is always 100% on point. It's thee best chicken out of all their flavors and they are super fast at making it (10 minutes) I recommend calling ahead of time to order (only take outs or delivery) their price is reasonable $14.95 for 15 wings and big cups of ranch?! #win

Jaspion G.

Yelp
Do not eat Beef Chow Mein at the Bethany location. They add hair instead of noodles and they don't answer the phone after that.

Bob 5.

Yelp
So as my wife said don't trust any Asian the can't make a good potsticker. I was excited about this place but was very disappointed after my 25 minute drive to get there. On top of that they had already broken down everything and pretty much closed an hour before their close time. So instead of something fresh and delicious I got a soggy nasty microwaved Bing. That was made who knows how many hours earlier and some really cheap frozen potstickers tossed into the deep fryer that came out all crunchy, hard and no good at all. I was very interested because it was something new and exciting but was very let down and I doubt I'll try them again. Plus there is no place to sit and eat it's strictly a pick up counter and this bing isn't car friendly to eat.

Andrea B.

Yelp
smallest chicken wings I have ever seen, not much flavor...waste of money!!!!

Jerry Y.

Yelp
These were probably the worst wings I ever paid for. Flavor was lacking, especially the Cajun. What were they thinking with that one? They had no taste. Just a fried wing. Mango habanero wasn't even spicy. I can't recommend and definitely won't repeat
