We were at Lirimier Ave to pic up some pictures and we stopped to have lunch at Brouhaha Pub. There is a good selection of beers and the staff are friendly enough to give you some samples that you can drink and choose the one you like most. The food was also good and the ambience was calm and nice for lunch time, we believe should be fun to go for a happy hour too. We recommend it !

A very long list of very interesting and cretaive local microbrewed beers in a classic pub setting. We didn't eat here but we would go back to try their food as we feel it would pair perfectly with the type of beer they make here

Smaller cozy style of bar, plenty of food options with a focus on meat and poutine. The smoked meat was slightly dry but nothing a little mustard couldn't fix. The beer selection is great and really the money maker here. Wide selection and staff that's willing to give a recommendation.

Empty for lunch but I can this will soon fill up. Nice vibe, great IPA and the smoked meat plate was really great. Bonus: Record Shop next door! Friendly staff.

The beers and the food are truly delicious, I tried the smoked meat poutine and the smoked meat sandwich - both were amazing. There's plenty of beer options and it was very hard to pick one. The ones I tried were very high quality, all from local small breweries with great options all the way. If I had to point something out to improve I would say the service wasn't the greatest. I had been to their other location and the service was better. Still, they deserve 5 stars - keep the good work guys!

Google
Great atmosphere and selection of beer! Servers are friendly and it's a very cosy spot. I've heard the food is good but haven't tried yet. Poutiflette is on my list!

Great drinks selection. The staff are always welcoming and accommodating. The food it’s pretty good. The pulled pork poutine is soo good that makes me forget that I am not a big poutine fan.

Yelp
Great beers and they also have vegan options for food. Long-time running client brewery that brews out of MaBrasserie, not that most people care. They also have an impressive guest tap list. All beers are available in 5 oz pours for $3.25-3.50 plus tax. I was hungry on my stop, so I ordered their full vegan pizza ($17 plus tax) -- really well-done, with lots of nice toppings and an impressive homemade crust. No special vegan meats or cheeses, just nice bread and toppings. Of course, the beer is the highlight, but I use Yelp primarily for food, so my review is centred on that. Great spot for beer and vegan-friendly eats.

Yelp
This place is so wonderful. Environment: Very chill feeling for before the after work rush. Writing this as a weekly Monday music podcast is getting ready. Drinks: Great selection of drinks. Including in house made beer and drinks local to the area. I'm happy the waitress picked some good ones for me. (numbers correlate to their Oct 2021 menu). 3 Cid Milton (my fav cider that I've tried in Montreal so far. Sweet with some floral notes) 5 Rousse Vienna lager (never had red beer, but this is a very good introduction. Will want to explore more) 17 Marye IPA (lighter beer with some slight floral fruity notes) 12 Dejener imperial: stout imperial (wow sooooo flavorful and strong. I think I like stouts more now) Duck poutine: Omg. I love this so much. Best poutine I've had in Montreal yet. Squeakiest cheese curds. The smoked duck on top. Omg never had something like it. Soooo good. And the gravy is so flavorful without being too fatty. And the fries are crispy but soak up the gravy really well at the same time. One thing is that green peas aren't my favorite, but I don't think any changes need to be made here! It is great freshness in comparison to the richness of the dish. I will gladly learn to like green peas more since it works so well. For critique, I'd say even more crispyness of fries while keeping the inside soft? Unsure if it is possible, but would be very impressive if pulled off. Also personal preferences says there should be even more duck on the poutine, since duck is one of my favorite dishes! Haha. I'd be so happy to visit again. Gonna order just a plate of smoked duck next time! And will need to come back for some live events! -Anna, food lover of well prepared duck

Yelp
Nice microbrewerie With good choice of home made beers. My Poutine was excellent but service was just ok. Nice place to relax in Rosemond. Excellente microbrasserie avec un bon choix de bières maison, la Poutine était excellente et bien que service était moyen. Bon endroit à Rosemont pour relaxer.

Yelp
Now this is what I'm talking about, an actual neighborhood pub! Things are getting fancy left and right, and I'm pleased to say this place is really not. The staff is denim-clad, they yell at each other from across rooms, the name that appears on your receipt is puny. No pseudo English decor here, this place is dark, with both folding chairs and massive wood tables. The menu is hardy, and their beer selection immense. For extra charm, they project Habs games onto the side wall.

Yelp
My friends and I came here because of how close it was to our Airbnb, but it is worth a trip no matter where you are staying! They have a wide selection of house brewed beers. They offer a "tasting size" (4 oz) so you can sample a few of them! My favorite was the Blanche Soleil, a witbier. The service was also excellent. When we asked if they had an English menu, the waiter told us they didn't, but then he proceeded to translate the entire menu for us!

Yelp
There must be a reason why I keep coming back to this hidden gem in Rosemont tucked away from the tourists, enough so that a renewed 5-star review seems appropriate. It offers such a perfect pairing between an ever-changing selection of craft beer on tap and an extensive menu of tasty food in an authentic unpretentious environment. It does get loud when the room starts getting packed but I've never had to wait to get a table. The servers are consistently great at describing and recommending beer. Some are brewed in-house, others come from Dieu du Ciel, Trou du Diable, Beau's, and more, basically all the great regional craft brewers. My favorite: Brouhaha's Cuvée des Saveurs, a strong Belgian ale with a magnificent floral (almost metallic) aroma, good carbonation, and spices that add colour to the taste. I've had my share of pub food and poutines since my last review. Here the food tends to be a little more refined, not the sloppy coarse kind of pub food that seems to be the standard at commercial-beer pubs. The duck-based gravy with cream cheese sauce mixed with leek in the Poutiflette for example (which is still my #1 for poutine). The half-plate nachos (for 1) is huge. The cheese and cold cuts were a great plate to share as well. I can't wait to try the ribs and pizza. This is a brew pub that never failed to disappoint. Honestly, be daring enough to step out of your downtown/Plateau bubble, you'll experience deep local.

Yelp
Crazy international bottle list, and crazy pricey too but I guess that's the cost of this business in Quebec. Fortunately Brouhaha also does some really nice and affordable home brews, a sunny blanche, a spicey festival saison, organic stout and plenty more, and they host other great local brews on tap so lots of reasonable and delish drinking to be done here and fun stuff to splurge on if the inspiration strikes you. The bar is on a quiet corner off the beaten path out east a bit, and I think that contributes to the feeling inside, a mix of happy regulars who live in this area, and of beer lovers who have made the trek out here on purpose to spend time and money thoughtfully imbibing. The room is old, dim but warm and glowy, a beautiful old rolling blue door separating the main bar from the second room. Stone, wood and a well-lit foosball table (or babyfoot as we call it here.) Friendly no rush staff, lots to love, I'll be back plenty.

Yelp
Server was fantastic! Brew selection was very nice and our server did a great job recommending beers to our liking. Without even our asking, he brought over a few tasters of beer that he thought we might like. I had the poutine with smoked meat which was very tasty. The pub had the atmosphere of an old run down corner neighborhood bar, which added character. Loved the musical selection.

Yelp
great pub food and beer selection. Smart staff with good service. Busy and lively but big enough to be able to get a table. Dark and noisy but laid back and comfortable got the pizza and fries, tried poutines and salad and all delicious. not the most healthy choices but you're probably not looking for that there. top marks

Yelp
They have an absolutely amazing poutine made with duck based gravy that is the reason behind me coming back again and again. The atmosphere is great, large room, small patio, more of a local crowd. Beers on rotation.

Yelp
It's in a rather residential area but if you get off Rosemont metro station then there's a bus that'll take you right around the corner of this pub. Saison & Belgian ales dominates the menu but that's to be expected. The staffs are some of the nicest I've met. I can't speak French to save my life and the staffs speak minimal English but it worked out fine. I didn't have the food but a few servings of Quebecois saisons would suffice.

Yelp
A lot of nice events, good choice of beers, Tv's and huge screen for hockey games, fast service everytime I went, really nice atsmosphere... And... And..... POUTIFLETTE Sorry but I guess that's a french thing : Poutine and Tartiflette Like two of the best dishes ever put together in one ? I nearly cried of happiness while eating. Poutiflette for the win

Yelp
Had the hyped up regular sized 'poutiflette' (essentially poutine) for 18$ after tax and tips, which is absolutely ridiculous. Granted it had cream-cheese-duck gravy and a fancy description, the Poutiflette consists mainly of fries, cheese curds, and gravy. As for the 'fancier' toppings, I had 2 slices of that 'Ile de la Madeleine' cheese, invisible lardons (counted like 5 small cubes), and a couple slices of caramelized onion (lost all its flavour to the duck and cream cheese mix). Besides that, the dish was overall on the 'too salty' side. The gravy itself was very salty, and there was so much gravy 95% of the fries were bathing and soft (not crispy). Now in terms of flavor, it was quite tasty and kind of rich (duck gravy and cheese). The chives and rosemary were a bit overwhelming, but when dosed moderately, it was original. So in terms of taste only, I'd give it 4/5 (too salty and too much gravy, not enough crispy stuff). The decor was typical for a bar, but it has a rigged (weird proportions) foosball table, which has a reasonable pricing of 1$ for 10 balls. But seriously, for an 18$ poutine, I was expecting a lot more. Either a huge portion, or a lot of toppings, which wasn't the case of the Poutiflette.

Yelp
In my unending quest for great beer in Montreal, I arrived at Brouhaha. A cozy little pub on the northern end of town. Brouhaha features a variety of local guest taps to supplement its repertoire, and when I say variety, I do mean the entire garden. They tend to have at least a pair of options to suit every taste. A very friendly, knowledgeable staff, and a better than average pub faire food creates a nice atmosphere for the beer enthusiast. I'm not as big of a fan of their house selections as I was their guest taps, but all around this one ranks high on the list of great locations for the Montreal beer snob in me.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this glorious place last year on a Monday night and the first thing that greets my eyes is hulk hogan in the shower on the big screen. By the end of the night I am in the back room yelling with the crowd at a documentary and throwing corks at the screen in disapproval, approval, and for everything in between! Basically on Mondays, come early, go to the back room and watch crazy YouTube clips until ten and then the film of choice after that! Come early, drink beer, yell French obscenities and enjoy this wonderful place that is like no other! Oh yeah, get the fries. They are fantastic!

Yelp
It's all about the beer here and I really enjoyed sitting at the bar with my husband enjoying all this great beer. We dropped in on a Saturday evening around 6PM shortly after the Mondial de la Biere festival. Because there were few people that early we were able to get great service and taste several recommendations before choosing. I had really high expectations for the beer at this pub and then I had an excellent experience here!! I was looking for something different and they really know how to pick them. My husband and I ended up getting one that tasted a bit like bourbon (just based on the brewing) and another with a sour kick like Duchesse de Bourgogne. They have a great selection of bottles including Rodenback, Gulden Draak Draak, Orval...On tap they had IPA's, belgian style summer blondes... We ordered their house-made maple syrup basted smoked meat which just really hit the spot! I noticed from another table that the pizzas looked good and at $10 seemed like good value. I would have ordered the grilled veggie... Decor is really laid back and there are four tables outside in a shaded area.

Yelp
Stephanie did a good job describing this place. It's a great spot. Quite popular but with a crowd really sport oriented. In the last game of Canadian, I was there with a pretty ecclectic crowd of people and even though it could have gone wrong, this place has a nice vibe, really friendly, nice bunch of scotch as well, which is great when you feel like having a chaser of good scotch with a nice local beer. In fact, this place is great because there's plenty space, some music, nice people. It's a nice spot too. Not downtown, but manageable when you have a car or if you're willing to walk a little.

Luke L.

Yelp
Cool bar. Nice, casual vibe. Good indie tunes in the background, cool junk art and the fanciest foosball table I've seen. Mac n cheese and salad were excellent. Beer selection didn't now me away, but was good enough.

Yelp
I love this bar!!! Its some where between a dive and trendy spot. Its dark, has plenty of tables and chairs, great local beers on tap, friendly service and good food. When we go we definitely make sure to arrive on an empty stomach, since the duck here is amazingly good and unique! For 12 bucks you get 6 duck legs prepared kind of like fried chicken, alongside an arugula salad, some fantastic french fries with 2 delicious creamy dipping sauces! My mouth is watering just writing this! Follow up this delicious meal with a perfectly poured pint of their IPA. Bliss!
google avatar

Vanessa W.

Yelp
Plenty of places to sit, lots of tables/ small bar. Waitress never offered a food menu and couldn't make an old fashioned even though it seemed the only available liquor was bourbon. Paid quick attention to my empty glass but overall an unfriendly vibe.
google avatar

Malcolm L.

Yelp
If you're into beer, you will love this place. I like the setup, it's got a nice tavern kind of feel to it. There's a foosball table if you want to have a game. They usually have 4 or 5 of their beers on tap, along with a fairly extensive list of guest beers from other Quebec microbreweries. If you're looking for something imported, they have a huge list of bottled beer, but be prepared to pay for it. This is definitely one of the best brewpubs in Montreal. I prefer it to Benelux and I think it gives Dieu Du Ciel a run for it's money.
google avatar

Christel D.

Yelp
Well, I'm not a beer-drinker. I can admit it. But I do like cider. They have cider. If you don't drink beer though or hard stuff, the menu is a little shy. Bright side! The poutine was super yummy, as were the fries with the home-mayo. It was a nice discovery :) The back room was a little lonely, but that's only because the front of the place was PACKED!

Yelp
(VF plus bas) The selection and revolving-door craft beer varieties can be quite interesting: their brewmasters' creations and invited drafts would be the principal reason to visit. By itself, that would be a 5. The food is decent, albeit in keeping with certain pricing trends best described as "a wee bit expensive for what it is", a 3.5, served in a classic but rather dark, gloomy tavern setting. Sought out / loud come game time, However, be advised: unless a quasi neighbor regular, the owners and/or managers seem to deride slightly older people, be it BOOMERS or Gen X, and of course, while co-owners are millennials themselves, the older millennials may also begin to feel out of place. In such cases, best skip and spend your money elsewhere. That implies -2. Ever concerned with fairness and an objective stance, in contrast, the staff has, for the most part, always been pleasant and affable. The few outdoor seats in summertime are hardly worth mentioning. Not to offend, but the clientele is more of the bearded and tattooed variety, which had never previously been a concern nor a care. But hardly a hangout for the young aspiring professional. As a passing note, I wanted to compare the menus from the nearby Rosemont where the fare is (imho) better, more sophisticated, the terrasse real (in season), and the crowd less tattooed, but the Brouhaha website does not show prices. For a date, unless the lady has an affinity for beer, the Rosemont is likely a better choice, brighter, more comfortable, an extensive wine list, a good selection and (partial) rotation of brews, some craft or micro, some not, and attaching no stigma to generational gaps.

Yelp
Kind of far, something like 20-25 min walk from the nearest metro station, but it's pretty much the only downside I found on this place. They had a great selection of beer, and it wasn't too expensive either. Our waiter was nice and friendly, the place was packed but we never had to wait for a refill and he always remembered what we had ordered the last time. Would return more often if it wasn't so far from my place.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of BrouHaHa. David is the best waiter you have. Great beer. Great food. Macaroni pizza ftw!

Yelp
Came in a group of 5, unreal food, unreal service, bunch of local beers, had the poutinflette, it was phenomenal. Tried the porter iroquois, as recommended and it was a solid choice. Cant go wrong here. Great atmosphere, great beer, great music and great food. YOU GOTTA COME HERE
