Without a doubt one of the top lambic and gueuze destinations in Brussels. Every moment here is a quality experience, from the vibe of the taproom to the amazing staff to the great (free) tour! You really can't beat it in all of Belgium if you're a beer nerd. A bit of an industrial building in a random neighborhood in Lot, a section of Beersel which itself seems to be a suburb of Brussels. Very inviting space with natural materials and plenty of great free smells. Friendly, knowledgeable staff at the bar and in the store who are clearly involved in the entire process and experience. From the lambic on cask to the vast bottle selection, you really can't visit at the wrong time. Bottles range from their classics to some of the rarer, special blends. A place like this brings camaraderie and energy that is tough to find elsewhere, so people bond over the beer and are inclined to share special bottles and experiences that you know you can't find in many places. After a while and if enough people are in the taproom, an amazing tour will materialize so bring your glass and enjoy the barrel room. Once you learn the process and story and history, you're inclined to enjoy more tasty beers in the taproom. The facility overall is so clean and well-designed. It's like a shrine to wild and sour and fruited Belgian beer. Don't forget to hit the store on the way out for some great bottles to-go but also some tasty jam made with lambic, some glassware, and other great merch. This is an easy trip on the S2 train from Midi/Zuid so if you're in Brussels, do not hesitate!
