Came in for a series of tests and was very impressed by everyone at this hospital. I had to have 3 tests and they were all perfectly scheduled to have one right after the other with minimal wait time. The ultrasound technician and mammogram technician were the nicest ladies and I loved the ocean scene in the ceiling during the ultrasound. Will be back for my routine screening and hopefully not before that!

I was on the 4th floor. My nurse’s Janelle, Kenny and Bobby were amazing. Dr. Torres was awesome. The neurologist didn’t have any bedside manner, so that’s why I gave it only four stars. If you take the neurologist out of the equation, I was treated respectfully and with the highest care by Dr. Torres and my wonderful nurses and I really appreciate them. They all deserve a raise, because they go above and beyond for the patients that they care for. I’m so thankful that I was blessed with this staff to care for me. Also to the man that would bring me my food I appreciate you!

A+ experience with outpatient department (colonoscopy). Couldn't believe how personalized and professional the staff was. Too many great people to name. Someone was by my side almost continuously from intake through the procedure and even wheeled me down to make sure I left in my ride share in good shape.

I checked in at 5:50pm, with a blood pressure of 171/101 and hemoglobin levels of 3. I informed the staff that I would require a transfusion as I'm no stranger to the symptoms etc. it's now 8:35pm and I have not been treated. The emergency personnel is absolutely horrible!! Update...after waiting for almost 4hrs, still nothing. My assigned nurse, Danielle in the ER should have her credentials revoked. I told her I wanted to leave, without hesitation she removed the IV! A nurse should have compassion and ask the reason as to why or even assert herself to see what was causing the delay. She did nothing of the sort, simply removed the IV. She had the audacity to state if you feel something come back!!! My blood pressure was 171/101, damn near stroke levels and she nonchalantly allows a patient to leave! DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!

I came to Imperial Point Hospital after leaving another hospital against medical advice. While I was in a medical and emotional crisis. I came having extreme pain and super intense anxiety. I wanted to continue with my IV antibiotic treatments for a very serious life threatening infection. And I chose Imperial Point Hospital to take care of me knowing nothing about the hospital. This turned out to be the best decision I could have made. And one of the best inpatient experiences I have ever been in. I was having a severe emotional crisis having to deal with a major medical condition that requires very intensive medical care. I also was experiencing extremely intense pain as well. Coming from a hospital that totally traumatized me with very unpleasant circumstances. I was very nervous about this possibly happening again. From the start, the emergency room team moved me through very quickly. They put an IV in fast. Which the other hospital could not do successfully. The nurses at that hospital would put in IVs in that would all eventually fail. Around 8 IVs in 5 days. The last one that failed is when I chose to leave against medical advice. The IV that the ER put in stayed in the whole time I was here at Imperial Point Hospital. That's the first thing that put me more at ease. I was admitted to the 5th floor quickly. Immediately after, I met the first nursing care team who processed me quickly and made me feel safe. From the nurses that cared for me along with the patient care team all were so very kind and pleasant to me through out my stay here. I felt that I was with the best possible nursing care team to handle my urgent medical needs. These nurses are an exceptional group with extraordinary compassion and genuine interest in my well-being. They delivered the

I visited Imperial Point due to very severe hand injury, I was greeted politely , taken in and seen by a PA. During my 1-1/2 hr visit I was pretty much ignored by everyone sitting in a room directly across from the " nurse's station" , I literally had to plead for an ice bag , the second time I asked for a larger one I was ignored by the "nurse" who was more involved with telling how he did in last nights wrestling match ??? After receiving NO medication, I did get an Xray of my hand. The Dr stated after the results nothing broken. Great . Left the hospital after not even having my hand dressed and basically spent a few days with ice bags to relieve the pain and swelling. Weeks later I received a bill for over $9000 that my insurance was billed , me being responsible for a large portion due to the fact the ins and hospital group is "in dispute " I later received a separate bill for almost $500 for the Dr's portion of the visit ... HIGHWAY robbery, with no CARE ! I strongly suggest anyone in the area visit a different E Room

I just had an outpatient meniscus surgery at imperial point yesterday. I was treated so well. The nurses were incredibly caring and kind. My main nurse was Jeewan (spelling?).They made sure I was comfortable. Communication was amazing. And my surgery went incredibly well. My surgeon was Dr. David Nigen. He has the best bed side manor. He made me feel very confident about the surgery. So far, I have no pain in my knee. The anesthesiologist really listened to my concerns about post op nausea and he reassured me that he would make modifications. When I woke up from surgery without nausea, I was so grateful. It was as good experience as you can have getting surgery. Thank you!!!

I was taken to this hospital by EMS due to passing out twice. The hospital only took my blood and told me that my thyroid level was high. Comes to find out after returning to Maryland that I had a brain tumor and had maybe two days left to live. This terrible hospital dismissed me and discharged me from the hospital both times. I was on my deathbed and they diagnosed me with fatigue because they did not do their due diligence. I have never experienced anything like this before in my life. I could have died and this hospital did nothing to help. I have told and will continue to tell everyone I know to stay away from this place.Their behavior was unacceptable. Sadly, they can’t be sued because they are a public hospital, but I tried to. So I am letting everyone know DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL if you care about your health.

Yelp
I had a great experience at the ER being treated for my head injury. I was bleeding profusely, everyone that saw me calmed me down and had a high level of care quality and administrative experience to fill out the necessary information and to get my prescription filled quickly. I felt they went above and beyond when they provided me with a warm blanket after my CT scan, since they saw me shivering in the cold room.

Yelp
Above top quality. I was taken fantastic care of, from the check in to the discharge. All the nurses were so pleasant helping and informative. Also having a few laughs to ease my nerves. I was so relaxed I thought they gave me my sedative. But no they haven't given it to me yet. So in closing my experience was a 10 star. Thank you all

Yelp
this may not reflect the entirety of the employees at this hospital or those involved in the care team. This incident started between 5 & 5:30 am on 05/19/25. I took a close friend ( P1) I was caregiver in the past, she was visiting for a few days, from Sandford. She mistakenly left one small bag that had some of her meds in it. She was leaving next day but she wasn't well. She had been going in and out of psychosis for a couple of days. She said, "Please take me to the hospital so I can get a dose of my meds and level out. Then I can take that 4 hr. ride home to my family, Care Giver & Power of Attorney (Tee) and doctors." I took her to Imperial Point ER. when we arrived, all was well but she was in some psychosis. Neither of us had slept in 3 days. (Nurse 1)The night shift Head ER Mental Health Nurse greeted us with nursing staff. I explained to her that "P1 missed a few doses, her meds were at home and she just wanted a dose and some sleep. She would be good to go." I was on speakerphone with Tee and Nurse 1. I showed them the meds she had with her and what she had already taken. They figured what all she was on, had and missing. Nurse 1 was also told that "we didn't want her to be admitted at all because she has her own drs and meds, she just needed her dose to level out and go home." As a mental health patient, she has the right to go to ANY hospital ER to get a dose of meds if necessary. When Nurse 1 consulted with Doc 1-The Head ER doctor on shift, they were on board with that plan. They dosed her up and she was sleeping comfortably. I'm sitting in a chair next to her bed 6:30 ish playing a game on my tablet with my feet up. Shift changes, A Dr. walks up to the doorway, no introduction, no greeting, and asks, " So what medications is she on?" I said, I can't tell you that, but it's all in there", (I pointed to the computer) He said, "in where?" I said, "the computer." He said, "Oh, you have an attitude!" My jaw dropped in surprise. I said, "I don't have an attitude, but I can't tell you what I" and he walked away saying, "I don't have to deal with your attitude!" I continued to sit there quietly playing my game. He came back 3 mins later and asked gruffly, "are you family?" I said, "No." and before i could get it out good, he said, "YOU can go!" again my jaw dropped, I said, still in the same even tone, "I'm not going anywhere, if I go she goes cause I can't leave her here alone with you," He said, well Im going to call security." I said, "I don't understand all of this, why are you doing all of this? I'm not leaving I haven't done anything to warrant any of this attitude." again he walked away as I was speaking calling security on me. As he was calling them, Nurse 1 came running out along with everyone else, I'm still quietly sitting playing my game. she asks "what's going on?" I calmly explain to her what has happened and everyone including security is looking around like, what's the problem? there's no commotion, nothing but that Dr. behind the desk outside the room hollering, "Security, the visitor can go!" over and over again. they put me out. Nurse 1 said I had to leave because P1 was going to the ward. I asked Nurse 1 who that Dr was and his title. It was Dr. Bradley Schulte Head ER Dr. on shift. As I was walking out, I got on the phone and called Dr. Schulte's Supervisor and told her directly, "I do not want Dr. Schulte anywhere near P1, or her case. He is not to give any orders for meds or her treatment." She said, "He's the only dr on staff." I said, "I don't care. I will wait for, find another dr. or I will take her to another hospital! this was not the agreement I had with the doc or Nurse 1. Otherwise I would have taken her to another hospital before allowing them to treat her at all. He is not to have anything to do with her care, whatsoever!" Tee and I then faxed notarized doc demanding her release. and He Baker Acted my friend in retaliation or for the billing. He never once came into the room or spoke with her. she was resting comfortably. Under the Law, there is a criteria of 3 things to be Baker Acted and she she fell under #1 only. 1. have been diagnosed with a mental disorder. 2. mental health condition is putting them at risk where they may cause harm to themself or others 3. They're unable to recognize that they need to seek treatment on their own disorder. On discharge, the reason for Baker Acting her was, "Patient not taking medication since January, hearing voices religious preoccupation wanted meds to be restarted." paperwork was done before he put me out. how did she tell him that when she was asleep. And they kept dosing her every time she woke up the first day. The only reason they let her out on 05/21/25, was because we advocated hard for P1. They tried to cover up Dr. Schulte's actions, but timeline and tapes don't lie. Explain to the judge. Maybe a reason to not seek help. Sounds like kidnapping to me.

Yelp
Staff was great except for Dr. Amanda Minnocci in the ER, I went in with and upper respiratory tract infection and horrible cough causing pain in my ribs and chest. I explained the previous Rx meds they gave me, Prednisone steroid, was not helping, she insisted it was an anti-inflammatory and should help with pain. I explained it they didn't not whatsoever help with pain And every single cough leaves me hunched over clutching on my ribs to ease the pain she said she understood and then when she came back with discharge papers to my very amazement she prescribed the very exact prescription of Prednisone that I literally just explained did not help in any way shape or form for the pain. Now I am not someone who ever goes to the hospital ever! This is just proof that these over paid, incompetent Doctors don't give a single sh about what they are doing!!! Again rest of the staff was absolutely wonderful except this unqualified, over paid, so called DR. AMANDA MINNOCCI!

Yelp
I was in an accident a few weeks ago and when I came in they almost immediately took me back. They gave me X-rays and a CT Scan. Everyone was efficient and took really good care of me down to my transporter. I was shocked to be in and out of the hospital with such breeze.

Yelp
Woman at the front reception desk in the main lobby is extremely rude. I was bringing some food to an employee and I put it on the counter and she said you can't leave it that here I'm too busy for that and a real nasty tone. I used to have a good opinion of this place until today and now after reading all of the reviews I don't think I'll want to go here if I ever get sick.

Yelp
Worst hospital experience of my entire life no exaggeration. From beginning ignored by my nurse in the ER for nearly 2 hours, then gets mad cause I am blowing up the nurse button, to then getting the same treatment when moved to the 5th floor of the main hospital. Had both nurses tell me when they brought me pain meds that I had no choice but to take it even though I specifically said no opioid pain meds. Then when ask for something to help me sleep the one nurse told me I wasn't there to sleep but to get treatment. I said you no what unhook me I am leaving. I wouldn't take my dog there to be treated

Yelp
Very unprofessional Hospital Team. Didn't answer patients question. Load Pts in 6th floor with unnecessary Medication. Discharged pt while still in Crisis and dont care other than get paid by the Government or private insurance. Joint commission should investigates the Dr Perdomo Joant Espinal , Dr Sandeep Mendiratta and their assistants. Never ever will call or notify the family's about évaluation, plan or anything related to their family member. Baker Act was applied on my Son with a Phychotic episode for the first time in his life. The best son, hard worker, sweet and honest person ever, college student who just makes a bad decision... was putted out of the hospital after 5 days under this crisis, discharged by Dr Persomo.. with not apparently reason. The whole Imperial Point Hospital at Broward Health should be investigated, 5 days asking...beggind for a phone call from anybody about my son's health and never get a call back....Very Rude and careless team, go to Delray hospital for better mental care for you or your family member.Very unprofessional Hospital Team. Yelp
I took my husband to Broward Health Imperial Point Hospital this past Monday evening due to frequent urination with only a tiny amount of dark cloudy and odd smelly urine, burning while urination, trouble breathing, and abdominal pain. He was delirious and had difficulty walking without my assistance. The symptoms started on Friday night after we arrived in FL from AZ for the week. Over the three days, his symptoms would ebb and tide, with a high fever on Monday early evening. Though he is 77, he is very active and vital, rides a bicycle regularly, and works in his garden daily. Fortunately, the ER was not very busy. The registration clerk was very friendly, the nurse was kind, and the doctor seemed caring enough. His temp was 102 plus on admission. As we traveled to FL from AZ on Friday, the doctor asked if we wore masks on the plane; we had not, and I wondered how that would have impacted the symptoms reported. He said, "It could." A chest x-ray, EKG, CBC, COVID, and Flu test were executed. When the nurse removed his gown, I observed a weird blister-like rash on his chest and pointed it out to the nurse. She did not seem to think anything of it. None of the ordered tests addressed the urine symptoms. As such, I asked that a urine test be taken. While waiting, I started researching the symptoms with the inclusion of the rash - only to grow more concerned as he had all the indications of urosepsis, a life-threatening condition. About 90 minutes later, the doctor came in and said, "All the tests were negative; you must have picked up a virus and indicated Tylenol and ibuprofen would help him through it. I asked, "What about the Urine test?" He seemed surprised and said, "I guess I should check it." A while later, he returned to let us know the urine test showed a high number of white blood cells and leucocytes, both clear indications of an infection. My husband was given an antibiotic in the hospital and was discharged with a strong antibiotic prescription and a hard copy of the test results. Based on google health care research, I felt confident he was given the right therapy. The next day I made a follow-up appt with his urologist and changed our flight to go home early. Fortunately, the antibiotic is having a positive effect, and he is feeling much better just three days later. Despite his progress, I am left disappointed in the level of care received. Not everything is COVID. I have a ton of empathy for our healthcare workers, they are burned out. There were communication gaps between the doctor and the nurse. I cringe to imagine the outcome if I had not been there to advocate for my husband. One of my only fears is the reality of increased dependence on healthcare services as we age. Our US healthcare is a mess, we rank at the bottom of high-income countries. What will it take for healthcare to be a priority in the US?

Felice L.

Yelp
From arrival to departure my care was exemplary. Nurses were thorough, kind and listened to my concerns. I was efficiently sent for tests and apprised of the results. On departure I was given a write up of what was done plus recommendations for followup. I was impressed about the whole experience and wholeheartedly recommend Imperial Point without reservation. overall I was treated with professionalism, kindness and respect. Bravo!

Yelp
I'm so blessed to have come to this hospital. The ER night staff is just exceptional when it comes to their level of care; efficiency and kindness. Erica & Nick were phenomenal and I'm so grateful for their expertise and professionalism. Thank you!

Yelp
Dr, Chi Zhang, part of Broward Health, i had a hernia surgery by this idiot of a man, who i hope his life is miserable. Not only did he perform his job like a 3 year old. but didnt try to help fix his damages. i would never recommend his work to the worse person on earth. He put me in the hospital on something that was supposed to be an out patient procedure. He cut a vein and i bled out and he had to cut me open Now im scared for life. This is on my stomach. This was a nightmare. BE ware did not go to him , He needs to pay for what he did to me. BTW this hospital is the worse too has a 2 star overall rating. FIND someone else

Yelp
Why any medical professional would invest the time and money required to get educated, get licensed and work for a place like Broward Health is utterly beyond me. I've been using them for almost 20 years. Started with 4 specialties, now down to 1 and wishing my GP would leave. My review: Management: A highly politicized group having little to no interest in managing. Way overpaid given the complete lack of contribution. Admins: Incompetent, overpaid, belligerent, under deliver. Support staff: Providing employment is not the objective of a health organization. It would be nice to have competence, an interest in what they're doing and a bit of occasional productive activity on their part. Sullen and detached is my overall view of the lot. Healthcare professionals: Solid, very Good to excellent. I can only hope they are very well compensated given the utter lack of support they get from the 3 above groups.

Yelp
Was a patient on the 5th floor. The nurses are all on their phones don't answer lights. Talk loudly in the hallway so that you can't sleep at night. The nurses don't make rounds unable to get my medications on time. Doctors don't introduce themselves act like they are doing you a favor. Nobody explains anything to you Awful experience

Yelp
Will never return to this hospital. No one cares. And very rude. The doctors won't even talk to you or give you diagnosis or results. Only Nurse Brian was very sweet

Yelp
Though I don't usually take issue with the opinions of other Yelpers, seeing a lowly One Star negative review of this excellent healthcare facility, I couldn't stand idly by on the sidelines. As a volunteer healthcare worker for the past 30 plus years, albeit just being a prescription pill courier for the disabled, I've gotten to first hand observe and get the inside track on all types of hospitals and healthcare facilities, and as such can attest from experience the Broward's Imperial Point facility is one of the finest. It offers all kinds of services and is staffed by some of the most competent, dedicated healthcare professionals and healthcare volunteers it has ever been my good pleasure to meet and come across. This is just one of the facilities of Broward Health which overall constitutes one of the 10 largest healthcare facilities in the entire nation. As such it has a vast depth of resources both specialized and general. It offers 204 beds, surgical, emergency, out bound follow up homecare, drug intervention, mental care, rehabilitative care as well as host of other services. It's as nice looking as any hospital backed up by a dedicated helpful community following that contributes to it not only with time and efforts but by generous philanthropic giving as well.

Gave me nothing whatsoever not even for pain when they sent me home terrible absolutely terrible!

Yelp
This place is horrific. They are so used to homeless drug addicts coming in, they treat EVERYONE that way. I'm absolutely disgusted. I would specifically avoid Dr. John Marini. He was incredibly insensitive and rude. Terrible bedside manner. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Yelp
I was a bit skeptical at first due to the reviews but it was the nearest hospital so I decided to take a chance. Every single person that attended me from front desk, to nurses, and radiology, was amazing. Very nice and made me feel so comfortable. They actually cared about how I was feeling and did everything possible to make me feel better. Some names that stood out to me were Brenda (front desk) super nice, dr. Wilson I believe, I can't remember the lady that took me to do my x rays but she was nice as well, made sure I was comfortable through the process, and finally the one that stood out the most was Erica who was my nurse. I've been to hospitals quite a few times and she truly was the best nurse I've ever had take care of me. She was so sweet, funny and just extraordinary. She talked me through everything and made sure I was good at all times. She was also with a student that was shadowing her and even then was doing such a great job all while teaching. She truly made my experience all the better. Than you all so much.

Yelp
My dad went to the hospital and they had him sitting in his blood for 2 HOURS STRAIGHT!! and he is legally blind and he isn't allowed a overnight stayer when he needs one and they won't let him. They have be neglecting him and taking advantage of him and not allowing to use his phone when he needs to call my mom and let her know whats going on. I wouldn't recommend this hospital AT ALL!

Steve B.

Yelp
Do not go to the emergency room at this hospital. The worst care I could imagine in the US. Someone in the ER confused me with another patient and did nothing to help me for 2 hours because they decided I was an addict looking for a fix. Plus a misdiagnosis to boot.

Yelp
Just got a minor surgery and my experience with the whole staff was at the top of my expectations. Great caring people, everyone make me feel to be the only one patient they have, no rushing, no feeling of embarrassment, will not come back everyday, lol, but will share the greatest moment I spent there. Thank you all, you are the best and you deserve all my sympathy.

Setting for one hour wouldn't check us in, just for blood test. Very rude at front desk. They don't care about patients.

Yelp
My last experience is exactly that....On January 4, I completely ruptured my achilles tendon.....I went to the emergency room and told them I had ruptured it.....the doctor visited and ask questions and confirm "it sound like I did rupture it" ordered an ultra sound....after the ultra sound he came back and said it was just banged up and would be fine in a few days...to go easy on it for a week.....I told him I was flying to my home in the mountains in 3 days and he said I would be fine....sent me home with anti inflammation script....no wrap, no boot , no crutches, no pain meds...... after limping for 3 weeks, decided I needed to get someone else to look at it.....the doctor felt my leg and informed me he could not feel any tendon at all and ordered and mri, put me in a boot and scheduled the mri in 2 days....mri confirmed a complete rupture....had surgery to repair at another hospital....Doctor said since I waited a month I would need a more invasive surgery that required longer recovery 6 months still some pain and slight limp Talked with Imperial Point several times and they were so sorry and would get back to me......Nothing So much for accountability , one final note ...Doctor said I should have never gotten on a flight for risk of blood clots

Yelp
Ugh...what a mess this place is. Went there at 2am with what I'm told is severe sciatic pain. Admitting person was way more interested in the bored cop hitting on her than admitting me. The doctor sorta cared, I guess, a lil. My nurse was worse, didn't think I could actually see more apathy but I did. I left there w no relief from my pain and am still in severe pain right now. I understand that they can't pump u full of narcotics n send u off to drive ur car but what they gave me did NOTHING and they didn't care to do anything more, besides get rid of me. Im not kidding here, whatever they shot me full of, (& the Prednisone) did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for me. When I asked for something else, they we're unwilling to give me more (& I don't mean a narcotics or opioid, which I'm pretty against). I just needed SOMETHING to be done for me but no, I would've been better off staying home. When I said "screw it, I'd rather be at home if ur not helping me", they couldn't even tell me where the closest 24-hour pharmacy was. These "healthcare professionals" said I should Google it. Yeah, real nice sense of caring I got there-they couldn't have treated me worse. On top of it all, what they also prescribed me does nothing. I should've never gone to this hospital as they actually did nothing for my pain, just treated me like crap and ignored me and my pain. This "doctor" was a moron, I probably knew more than he did. Extra thumbs down for sending in the billing scavenger guy to ask me if I wanted to settle up on my bill while I'm curled up in the fetal position n groaning in pain...they hadn't even done anything for me at that point. I'm sure I'll get a $2000 bill for my crappy, short, useless stay there. I'm a healthcare worker myself and understand that this type of apathy is absolutely unacceptable in this work. If u (clearly) don't like ppl (or working at 2am), then quit ur job and work somewhere else bc every patient coming in needs help, support, feedback, comfort...not attitude or apathy. Worst hospital ever.

Marie C.

Yelp
Wow. I was so happy I made the decision to bring my daughter to Imperial Point. She was experiencing pins and needles in her right leg due to prednisone treatment for something that she is going through. The doctor we saw was amazing. She sat with my daughter and explained to her why she was having pins and needles. She was given a cat scan. Given necessary medications. The visit was quick and efficient. Best doctor we have ever had. Her name is Dr. Sylvie. The nurse was the nicest also. Both were Very comforting to a very nervous and scared young adult. Thank you for everything.

Yelp
It was the worst experience in a hospital that l ever had. 5 doctors saw me and every one of them said I had something different wrong with me. On top of that they made me lay in diahrea that went all the way up to my feet for over an hour 3 times. Not one person gave me the plan on what was happening or what they were doing to me. Then they talked to another person and told him everything about my health condition. They broke HIPPA compliance.

Yelp
Too bad we have to pick a star in order to post a review, this place deserves 0. I should've read their reviews before coming in! Worst treatment, hospital, nurse and doctor. I've had a cough for 45 days, was prescribed a Medrol dose pak, which didn't help much. I fainted today due to severe coughing and hit my head. I drove myself here and asked for a chest x-ray to rule out Pneumonia, but the Dr. in charge thought it was best to do a CT scan of my head first before proceeding with a x-ray of my chest. Got the CT scan done, waited a few, first nurse comes in and tells me everything looks good and that I will be taken to get the chest x-ray done shortly. Then another nurse tells me the Dr. wants to keep me overnight for observation, which I had already told them I was not going to stay unless they found something wrong with my tests. I once again told her I was not staying, she had me sign a waiver stating I was checking myself out against medical advice and told me they were not going to do the chest x-ray because I decided to check myself out. Bunch of careless idiots!

Yelp
I had a breast reduction surgery here on September 1st with Dr. Lisa Learn. I had a wonderful experience at this hospital. I had a choice of going here or 2 other hospitals and I'm glad I chose Imperial Point. I'm someone who's terrified of surgery, even moreso because it was during a pandemic so I had to be alone at the hospital and no one was allowed to even walk me in, so this was a huge deal for me to be as calm and comfortable as possible. I arrived at 5:30 in the morning for my surgery, checked in, demanded a private room, paid for my co-pay, and then walked up to the 2nd floor where they prepped me for surgery. The nurse that prepped me was really the only one I would complain about. She seemed to have a bit of an attitude. I think her name was Suzette. Everyone else was so sweet and caring. She started my IV as I waited for my anesthesiologist, Dr. Jordan to show up. I spoke to Dr. Jordan about a month prior to my surgery on the phone. I told him I was terrified to do this and was also worried about nausea because throwing up is my biggest phobia. He was one of the nicest people I've ever talked to and so reassuring and told me we would do twilight anesthesia and that he would give me some good drugs to prevent it. I then had my surgeon request that he be my anesthesiologist. I met with him after my IV was started and he put an anti-nausea patch behind my ear and gave me a pill for it and then they wheeled my ass off to the OR. At this point he must've been filling my IV up with other drugs because I was stoned and seeing double and the anxiety that I had suddenly started to disappear. I can't thank the OR nurse and scrub tech. enough. I wish I knew their names because I wanted to send them a gift. Especially the tech. I told her I was so worried and she held my hand, hugged me, asked me if I believe in God and I said yes, so she prayed for me. Then they put the mask on my face and I was out. After 4 hours, I woke up in the PACU after what felt like 5 minutes, 8 pounds lighter and able to see my feet. I was so out of it so I don't remember the nurse that was in there but she was also great. I had very mild nausea. I can't thank Dr. Jordan enough. I was so happy I got it over with. They brought me up to my room and the nurse and nurse's assistant were great and so helpful. I went into the hospital thinking I would be pressing the call button a thousand times, but I didn't have to. A few hours later, the scrub tech. from the OR was getting off of her shift and she came upstairs and said that she just wanted to stop by to check on me because I was so scared. I really appreciated that. She truly loves her job and cares about people. The only issue that I really had was with the first room that I was in. I started sweating bullets and thought that I was running a fever, then I realized that the air conditioning was broken. I asked for a room change and they didn't give it to me right away so I needed to become a little demanding and they transferred me to another room. I was very happy with Imperial Point and would highly recommend this place. The doctors, nurses, and my whole surgical team were nothing short of outstanding. Except for that Suzette.

Yelp
I'm giving this 3 stars because my nurse was awesome. However, this is a nurse there who was horrible and condescending to every patient in there. A girl came in shaking and she purposely put her in the broken bed and said "who cares, I don't have to sit there." That's nots a nurse, that's a cruel, miserable person who has no business being in that line of work. I can't remember her name but apparently that's how she treats everyone. She wouldn't even give this poor girl another blanket while she was shaking in the "bed" if that's what you wanna call it. Everyone else there was great but this little butterball is in the wrong line of work.

Yelp
The main reason for this post is that the ER staff mishandled information that caused them to break HIPAA and I now have the personal information of a previous patient of this hospital. I do not believe this was intentional, but was a very careless mistake. There were several instances where this could have been caught prior to myself noticing it at the end of our visit. On Tuesday morning 2/18 my boyfriend was not well and asked to be taken to the ER and we went to Broward Hospital Imperial Point. Due to his level of pain he was distracted and asked if I could handle the signing in and provided at check in with his driver's license and completed the intake form. After maybe 10 minutes the nurses came in to set my boyfriend up with an IV drip, etc. We were seen by the ER doctor/PA (John Marini), who came in to talk to my boyfriend who was in a lot of pain so I was assisting with some of the questions. Due to where the pain was located the doctor ordered for an ultrasound of his abdomen and morphine for the pain. QUESTION #1: Why are basic questions not being asked prior to ordering expensive tests? It is the middle of flu season and patient comes in with abdominal pain after vomiting for 5 hours. No pain over McBurney's point. At no time during the entire visit did anyone ask about if he had the flu shot, would he like a flu shot, or do any kind of test swabs for the flue. Immediately they went for more expensive tests. The ER doctor/PA came to discuss that it looked like from the ultrasound that something with his gallbladder and pancreas, and that he wanted to order a CT scan. At this time another girl, administrative, rolled in a cart with a computer and began to go over basic patient information, much of what I had literally just filled out on the intake form or could be found on his license. Doctor/PA was still present, as well as another nurse. The girl went through the list - name, birthday, address, emergency contact, etc. None of the information that they had on file was what I had filled out and we didn't recognize anything... QUESTION #2: Is it not protocol to ASK the patients for their birthday and then the patient provides it? This girl was literally reading off what was on file, and each item we had no idea where that information was coming from. They had the wrong address, wrong birthday, we had never heard of the person that was the emergency contact. At no point during this initial confirmation of information did anyone ask him for his SSN, or I'm sure this would have been caught immediately. They took my boyfriend for a CT and he eventually returned. The Doctor/PA returned to let us know that it didn't show any issues, that his gallbladder was contracted and nothing wrong with his pancreas (not shocking, ordered an expensive test for nothing without checking off all of the other things that it could be first). He would get us set up to be discharged. He also made some kind of comment that my boyfriend had been to the ER back in 2015, which my boyfriend has never been there. While we continued to wait and I was holding my boyfriend's hand, at that point I noticed that the birthday on his wristband was incorrect. And that was when it clicked in my head that they 100% had some other patient's information and did not have the right patient. I went up to the girl who had been confirming all the information before and told her "the birthday on his wristband is wrong. When we were going over information before, we didn't know the emergency contact, you had the wrong address and phone number, are you sure you have the right person?". She looked concerned and rolled her computer back in. Now, finally, one of the first questions that she asked was for him to confirm the last 4 digits of his SSN. When he did, her eyes got wide with an 'oh s***' kind of look. So I directly asked her "is what I think is happening actually happening?" and she quietly said that she thought that I was right. I asked if that changed anything that had just happened here today, and she said "it doesn't change anything for you guys but it changes a lot for me" and rolled her little cart out. I have no idea if she fixed it or if she reported it. After all of that, SOMEHOW the prescriptions and the documents that have personal information written on them still have the wrong birthday, wrong phone number wrong address. They are someone else's, whoever was there in 2015 apparently. Searching the address on Google I find that it was associated with someone who has the same first and last name as my boyfriend (different middle initial) and the name of the person that they had originally told us was his listed emergency contact. I can literally google map image their home. I could call this person's phone number if I wanted to because I have it due to the hospital's mistakes.

Yelp
This place deserves not to even be open. I work with the federal government a lot and what I went through was unreal. I had a seizure as I have had several this month along after learning I suffer from severe epilepsy. The neuroscientists haven't seen me yet since my appointment hasn't come up so my medication is off. After seizing at a local restaurant just across the street, this ER had the sheer nerve to treat me like I was trash. Not only did Doctor Amanda all of a sudden discharge me with zero paperwork (signed but not given a copy), but they didn't even try and just at least put me under observation until such time as I was not as confused. Normal procedure is to observe a seizure patient to make sure they don't seize again especially after urinating and defecating themselves as I had. This so-called humanitarian who supposedly took the Hippocratic oath had the nerve to tale about me like I was some sort of degenerate. I was listening to every single word she was saying from the room I was in. Not only did she talk mess about me, but the staff was interrogating me like I was some sort of street trash about where I was from, who could pick me up, what I did for a living, etc. I am a very well-known cybersecurity and AI-software development thought leader and entrepreneur in the industry. I do not have family in the area and had left my phone. These people decided to laugh and joke about me. There was a nurse named Sean or Shawn (possible spellings) who even joked that they could hear about me wandering around a gas station confused and picked up by the police. what kinds of people do this. Where is their HIPPA concern and oath. Why did they feel the need to talk about me openly and my condition (against privacy) with a drug addict who was just brought in and others from the outside such as the police around? Who acts this way. Was this professionalism? No; Not in the least. Here is the kicker folks. My phone was left at the restaurant where I received CPR, my luggage there as well (I don't know why they told the nurse it was not when the next day they contacted my father who was my emergency contact); but I ended up being so confused that I got hit by a car and am in this hospital this very second just a couple of miles away with a broken left leg, bruised spine and neck injury. Who acts this way? These people need no licenses, they need to have no patients, and I am not stopping until they are fully investigated. I have already filed with AHCA, DOH, and the Medical Examiner's Board. I'm not playing around. I want them stopped as no one should have to feel the way I do and now I am in much worse shape than if Doctor Amanda and her minions had simply watched over me for a few hours as I came back from my weakened and confused state. Please investigate these horrific people. Thanks

Yelp
very pleasant staff but after a bad fall with trauma, I never even got to see a physician. They ran CAT scans with no contrast and internal injuries were not visible. No one even looked at the trauma site. The CT technician was extremely rude and that was quite unpleasant as I was in much pain. The PA told me to take it easy for 10 days and prescribed muscle relaxers for internal injuries that were never diagnosed during the visit. If you have an emergency, find a more professional ER

Yelp
During my husband's recent stay, I could not have been more pleased with the professionalism and care he received. From the CEO to the ER team, he was treated with the utmost respect and compassion.

Yelp
Nursing 4 stars. Dr care 3 stars Respiratory therapy 5 stars. Communications- NO STARS. My 91 year old Mom is on day 16 here. The care appears to be good on the surface but after a few days I realized isn't so good and it all boils down to horrible communications. Things have not happened as promised. Things don't get put in the system and nurse workload is pretty overwhelming so, in the end, patients don't get the care and service they need. The respiratory therapists are excellent and were on time with their scheduled visits. At the end of this experience I advise each and every patient to have a a friend or family member here watching their care like a hawk. My mom is being discharged here today and I am leaving with a very different opinion of things than I had for so many years. I used to think Imperial Point hospital was one of the best. Tom Kestor needs to address a lot of procedures here that have gotten sloppy. Bring Mark Sprada back!

Yelp
I need to share this review because after 11 days from taking the COVID19 test at your hospital and you cannot give the results is ridiculous. You sent the test to the CDC and have no updates nor access to obtain them apparently. I went to your hospital this past Sunday asking if this was normal, and the gentlemen I spoke with said no, and gave a manager's number. The ER manager the next day gave no relief or assistance to why we do not have the results. On Thursday night 3/19 you took in a patient at your hospital in the new quarantine wing. Your staff that just started their shift at 7 pm were either sleeping behind on the beds or watching videos on their phones. Directed to use a porta-potty that was disgusting and not clean. There were no other patients just us. This is a time where Hospitals should be prepared and have their staff on point. After $200 later we were discharged with the comments to stay quarantined till the results arrive in 4-5 days. Today the cough and the restricted breathing are still a battle and have no direction but to stay quarantined.

Yelp
First and Foremost, I want to give honour to the Doctors and staff of Broward Health for putting themselves on the front line during this COVID Pandemic. With immense gratitude I do thank you all for your hard work and dedication to helping those in need. However, to say that all Doctors and nurses are the same, is indeed an understatement. Due to my past medical history since a child, I am no stranger to Broward Health/ Imperial Point. Since moving back to Pompano Beach 3 years ago Imperial Point has been my go to Hospital when in need. Everything from the nurses to the Doctors has been excellent. On the other hand, yesterdays experience at Imperial Point overall changed my outlook on Imperial Point from both the Doctors to the Staff. Yesterday I visited Imperial point due to abdominal pain (few hours prior had a temperature of 99.5, when arrived at the hospital my temperature was indeed normal). I informed the Doctor, Doctor Richard Delgado, of my past medical history and the pain that I was feeling. (Keep in mind I am prone to Sinus Infections, Bladder infections, and colds due to my past medical history and allergies). Without hesitation, I was told that they would be giving me a COVID test, to which I immediately denied. When asked why I told the Doctor that I have traumatic experience as a child from having a nasal swab done years back. Plus, I was not having any other symptoms of COVID-19 that made me feel as though I needed to take the test. As a patient, I do have rights to be denied certain testing. When I told Doctor Delgado of this he rolled his eyes and told me that I would be treated as though I was a COVID patient. Understanding how stressed Doctors and nurses are about COVID I understand taking as much precaution as needed. So I just took his response as being careful "just in case," to which is understandable. In my room the nurses never checked up on me asking how I was feeling or if I needed any items. Example: Blanket, bag in case I become nauseous, etc My nurse, nurse Ryan (I believe) came and to draw blood and made a remark of how I refused the COVID testing. Though being kind with him I was shown no sympathy in regards to asking how was I feeling overall. Due to it being 6am in the morning I figured he was tired, hence not communicating much as normal nurses do. So I left it as that. Fast forward to 3 hours later Doctor Delgado entered in informing me that I would be discharged. When asked how my blood work came out I was completely ignored. Thank God I received an email informing me that I can have access to my lab results via BrowardHealth.com. Never once did Doctor Delgado inform me of my Blood or Xray Results! I was completely ignored as he was prepping to remove my IV from my arm. He asked me again why I didn't want to have the COVID-19 testing to which I proceeded to tell him. To which, I was cut off my a comment that really questioned to overall staff of Imperial Point. I was told in exact words, "You do know you are killing people right? You can go home and kill your family and all the people around you." Startled by his response as a Doctor I said nothing. (Only thing I had asked him was what were the results of my blood work. To which as stated earlier I was ignored completely). Once discharged, I made an appointment with my PCP and was informed that I may just have a regular Cold. As of now I have no pain in my stomach, no low grade "fever," nor headache nothing. As my rights as a patient, I have the right to prompt responsible questions to my Doctor in regards to my overall health. To which, I did not receive. Nor was I asked further questions that could pin point the cause to my pain. All I was diagnose with was "Potential COVID." Having spent practically my entire childhood in the hospital, never once have I ever been discharged after inadequate care and verbal abuse from my Doctor. By all means, I understand that precaution has to be taken due to this pandemic. However, COVID-19 is not the only illness that is out there. So to the Doctors and nurses, and staff of Imperial Point, I implore you to be more considerate of patients and there rights as a patient. When that statement was made to me by Doctor Robert Delgado, I tried to be considerate understanding that I personally do not know what his experience as a Doctor has been these past few months. Overworked, stressed, and burdened by the amount of cases and deaths from COVID-19. I do not know his personal life. I do not know if someone in his family has been infected by COVID-19 or have passed away from the virus. Though taking into consideration of all these things, it doesn't change the fact of how I was treated as a patient and the misdiagnosis that was given. Due to my recent experience, I have decided to change hospitals (when needed).Due to the insincerity given by my recent Doctor and nurse. If this is reviewed by any administrator at Imperial Point, you can contact me at any time. My name is Eva Inez

Yelp
I have been waiting for over an hour and a half for Urine Analysis. The registration clerk Sabrina puts this Hispanic gentlemen ahead of me and another black female that's been sitting for more than an hour. When I confront her she said it's because he only speaks Spanish. I say preferential and racial discrimination.

Yelp
The wait was really long and the waiting room wasn't so comfortable, I waited 2 hours but got really good and throughout care by the doctors, sorry to the employees for being so difficult in the waiting room I was freezing and uncomfortable but they diagnosed with me with flu put me on IV ran some tests and I'm on the mend, a bad flu

Yelp
I came around 3am here because I was having a terrible drug abuse trip and experiencing delirium. I had a mental breakdown because I was freaking out about the drug experience and their very slow efforts to help. The nurses who were working the front desk on 5/28/19 around 3:31 am got up and left, laughing at me. They all were missing from their post at that point and I was left by myself because they thought it was so funny to laugh at my situation.

Yelp
Personally I love this hospital! Dr Hussain used to be my primary always loved seeing him! Everyone in the post op took great care of Me! Dr. Gates is an orthopedic surgeon I had a procedure today after 4 years of suffering and only knowing him for a month and he already helped solve my pain issue! I highly recommend him! And to top off all the hard work, compassion, sweetness, caring, actually helping solve my problems Deirdre and Daphne were so sweet and put me to bed just right! I highly recommend Imperial Point Hospital and all of the physicians they're attached to! I work for a home care company and would always recommend them to my patients because I have faith that they'll get a compassionate, quick, great resolution.

Yelp
We have had to visit this hospital twice in the past two months. Once for myself and once for my five year old. The wait time was super fast for my five year old. Considering I was at the ER, the wait time for myself was not bad at all...I was seen in under 30 minutes. The staff was caring and supportive in both visits....everyone from the front desk, the triage nurse, to the doctors and nurses in the ER rooms....nothing but gentle and kind words.

Yelp
Excellent quality, service and Professionalism! Immaculately clean environment. Best hospital for which my family has been admitted. Wonderful Doctors and staff make you feel like family. For Oncology, Dr. Nicholas Tranakas and Plastic Surgeon, John Thomassen, are SUPERB! They have excellent bedside manners.. The Pre-Op Nurse, Joan is comforting and reassuring. The Radiological Transcriber, Karen, is so friendly and helpful. The staff really goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable before, during and after your procedure. They deserve 10 stars! They are very attentive. Patients receive their own private rooms and this is the first hospital in which patients are not disturbed by the PA system. You can sleep well after your procedure between vital checks. I really wished we had discovered this Broward Health Imperial Point hospital sooner! I would highly recommend this hospital.

Yelp
Having recently had a slip and fall accident, every day is another hassle - Orthopedic sends you to X-rays, then MRI, then the Neurologist, then here, then to physical therapy.... This place really assist you in keeping it simple in their network, meanwhile through my tedious process of recovery this has been so positive for me.

Yelp
I still stand by what I have said about the poor treatment I received in the emergency room. The hospital as a whole isn't all that bad. Once I got moved to a floor, in a bed with a pillow, and received some water, the staff was wonderful. I thought it was only fair to come back and add to my previous review. The doctors are good, the nurses are great, and that's what truly matters. But I still can't get over how bad the visit to the ER was. Never had it been like that. I know the physician staffing company there merged with another, but still the nursing staff in the ER were just awful too. I digress. The hospital, as a whole, is good.

Yelp
Incredibly warm staff. Clean hospital. Great little gem in north broward. We had a family there for 5 days. Was truly a great experience. .

Yelp
When you call the place the rude ass operator answers. After you've repeated yourself 10 times & finish verbal figthing with the operator, then you are transferred to the correct floor (maybe). Next, you got to deal with the incompetence of some of the staff, which unfortunately, it is the ones that answer the phone. After you've repeated yourself 10 times & bounced around from dept to dept, then you finally speak with the love one. This has been the worst hospital experience so far. Two things I can't deal with when your love one is in the hospital, rudeness & incompetence. Patient in the hospital, nor the relatives calling in to speak with their love one need any further aggravation. I wish I could give this place a negative rating.

Yelp
I'm pretty particular (and long winded) and can honestly say that during an eight day stay I found absolutely nothing to complain about. This small hospital is just big enough to have most everything you need and small enough to be human. I have POA for a dementia patient who was there for a week with some colon problems. We were processed through ER admission and in a private room quicker than I expected. Triage and ER nurses were great. The whole place is clean and apparently newly redecorated because its really feresh lookingr. Really lovely. Every piece of everything is beautifully coordinated around a calming color scheme. The elevator floor is gleaming hardwood with a medalion inset. Floors, wallls, artwork all carry out a theme, down to the privacy curtain in the patient rooms. Even the nursing stations are nicely built out and feature Herman Miller office chairs that are top of the line and show the hospital cares about their people, and the people from the hospital physicians to the nurses, PCAS and even dietary workers and housekeepers have the most positive friendly attitudes I could imagine. Doctors and nurses were willing to give me as much time as I needed to understand the patient's progress and condition, procedures necessary etc. The attitude of personnel reflects the attitude, goals and values of people at the top to my way of thinking and the positive attitudes and pride they take in their work speak volumes about how the place is run. My friend who was the patient is a retired chef and said he liked the food. He was incontinent for most of his stay and I never found him sitting in poo once during my daily visits. The nurse to patient ratio must be good because the nurses were always available and stayed on top of his needs before he or I might have called about something. Social workers worked the phones for three days trying to find him a rehab that had an available bed and would take his insurance . I was prepared to just take him home and put up with the cost of home care and they came through with a great conveniently located facility at the 11th hour. I highly recommend this hospital as well as Broward General . I wouldn't go anyplace but these two hospitals. Again, eight days and NOTHING to complain about. Amazing .
