Browder’s Birds

Picked up fresh eggs, bacon, and beautiful wool yarn. Not all those who wonder are lost- sometimes you stumble upon incredible local small business. Bonus: getting to see all the baby chicks. What a magical spot.

Best eggs on earth ! Browder's has been my constant local source for organic eggs and chicken for years. They have slowly expanded their pantry to include local honey & bee pollen from their own hives, mayonnaise, quiches, and now... Woolen sweaters/blankets/scarves/hats/baby blankets knit using yarn from their own sheared sheep. Incredible food from the best ingredients possible, from the friendliest farming family- it doesn't get better than this.

What a beautiful farm and a lovely experience with the Browders as our hosts today. Our kids were giddy. Can't wait to have our gorgeous eggs in the am!

Gorgeous farm- with healthy, happy chickens and sheep- owned by a lovely and dedicated family. The farm is open daily during the summer season, and they allow you to walk around, which I find to be incredibly generous, as this is not only a commercial farm but their family home. The little self-service farm shop offers organic eggs and chicken products, wool products, etc. Browder's Birds is a little way from the "main drag," but I think that is part of what makes it so special and well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Great small farm in the middle of nowhere. Took a trip here .I love exploring farms all over the island. We honestly have the most beautiful farms on LI. The farm is on the property of the owner's home. The store is actually their small shed. This is definitely worth the trip. Don't be discourage by the size because you definitely find good quality ingredients. The farm is organic yay jackpot! I left home with organic chicken, honey mustard, mayo, and eggs. I have to tell you their mushroom quiche is honestly the best I've ever had in my life. Love this farm. Recently needed mayo for a dinner party .I have not been able to find good quality organic mayo without toxic chemicals until I found this farm yay! So I ordered my mayo and got it shipped to my house.Also their ginger snap moon pies are my favorite treats. When I can't come personally visit , I order online instead. So glad I found you Browder's Birds. You're definitely one of my favorite hidden gems.

You must go because: Homemade mayonnaise! Real, fresh, chicken! Real, fresh, eggs! They taste what a chicken and eggs supposed to taste like! A little pricey, but what a difference in taste, compared to the supermarkets! We are driving and driving...where are we? Middle of all these fields, then residential... Found it way in the corner, little sign. We only found out about this place because of Channel 12 News's "East End" show. You go about 10 minutes north from Sound Ave. Tiny, outdoor shed is the store. Gravel, bumpy drive (go slow), go around a tiny traffic circle on the property. Watch out for the chickens roaming the property. If you want special orders, you can call ahead. They are only open Friday, late afternoons, and Sat. & Sun. all day.

Came here with a small group of friends and it was great We met a Nice lady who showed us around. They had a little store which I got a jar of pickled hard boiled eggs with garlic which was awesome! FYI I'd wear bug spray in the summer months I was being bit like crazy.
