Brown Acropol by Brown Hotels (Athens, Greece) 9 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The first of the Israeli-based Brown hotels to open in Greece, Brown Acropol aims to recreate a very specific vision of Athens: not the classical history for which the city is most famous so much as the high modernism and hedonistic glamour of the swinging Sixties and Seventies. It begins with the building, a mid-century classic by modernist architect Emmanuel Vourekas, and the interiors, by the contemporary design agency K-Studio, use vintage and vintage-inspired elements to celebrate the era of the building’s construction." - Tablet Hotels

A centrally located hotel in Athens – with the warmest welcome!||After a few hours of summer travel - dusty and dry , arriving at this hotel was a real treat. The check-in experience was the best —being welcomed with a chilled glass of prosecco was both refreshing and memorable. A solid 10 out of 10 for hospitality!||The hotel features a lovely rooftop bar and restaurant with great views over Athens, perfect for a drink or dinner in the evening. My room was a bit on the small side, but since I was traveling alone and only stayed for one night, it was perfectly fine. Everything met the expectations of a 4-star hotel—clean, comfortable, and well-managed.

My partner and I had the absolute best time in Athens. We stayed here for one week and it was such a beautiful experience for both of us. Truly magical! Our highlights were the great music (with some boogies while waiting for the elevator), the breakfast buffet, and, of course, the jacuzzi’s on the rooftop with a view on the Acropolis!!!! The Brown staff was also exceptional! Especially Steve (see picture below) and Maria made our stay so unique. Steve, for his endless supply of Prosecco and Maria, for introducing us to Freddo Cappuccino. We can’t wait to be back :)

My friend and I spent four nights here in June.We were a little wary after reading some negative reviews about the location of this hotel but decided that we would only travel by taxi at night and we didn't have any problems. The staff at the hotel are wonderful and the welcome prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch. Room was good and they provided us with two single beds are requested. Lovely rooftop terrace with jacuzzis which we made full use of on three days - it was too hot on our last day. Food isn't great so we only ate here once. Great buffet spread at breakfast but be aware that the food is cold - not unusual in hot countries I imagine. Staff were very courteous and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They booked taxis for us and gave recommendations for places to eat.

A hotel with a difference. From entering the hotel, we were greeted by the concierge Steve with a glass of Prosecco to an upgrade of our room, they couldn't have been more helpful. We booked our tours through the staff at reception and were glad of their expertise. Our room was large with an enormous bed and was clean and tidy. The bar/terrace on the 9th floor was a godsend .Fantastic views of the Acropolis and the city and sitting outside with a beer or a cocktail rounded the days off perfectly. The 60's to 80's music was welcome relief to some hotel's 'lift' music and we enjoyed it immensely.

We originally planned to stay for just 3 nights, but due to the war in Israel, our stay unexpectedly extended to 12 nights — and honestly, it felt like a home away from home. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and cared for.||Lihi was our safe haven throughout our extended stay, always going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and supported. Steve’s kindness and warmth were a constant bright spot in our days. Every person we encountered at breakfast and the reception was genuinely lovely, creating such a friendly and comforting atmosphere.||Despite the challenging circumstances, the team’s dedication and hospitality made all the difference. The cozy rooms, great location, and exceptional service made us feel safe and cared for.||We’ll definitely be back next time we visit Athens — Brown Acropol Hotel will always be our first choice. Thank you all for turning a difficult situation into a memorable experience.

Great hotel in an excellent location very near to a supermarket and wonderful bakery. Room was spacious, quiet and air conditioning excellent. Staff also all very friendly. Rooftop bar and tubs nice area to relax at end of day. Breakfast was average. We always turned right out of the hotel, past the Moxy hotel then right again, to walk into town by bank of Greece - felt very safe and no issues.

Everyone is so kind, helpful, and full of great advice for making the most of your time in Athens.||A special thank you to Steve, who went above and beyond to help us and made our experience even more enjoyable. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here — we’ll definitely be back!

Imagine time traveling and stepping into a groovy 70s place. Beautiful, loving design, all around. The lobby, staircase, rooftop all filled with beauty and joy. But most of all the hearts of the people you meet. Marta, Maria, Anastasia make the warm vibes overflow with love and happiness. One of the best experiences in my life. Traveling back to the real world will be hard but the memories will stay with me a lifetime. Thank you for an amazing time ❤️
