Brown Acropol by Brown Hotels (Athens, Greece) 9 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The first of the Israeli-based Brown hotels to open in Greece, Brown Acropol aims to recreate a very specific vision of Athens: not the classical history for which the city is most famous so much as the high modernism and hedonistic glamour of the swinging Sixties and Seventies. It begins with the building, a mid-century classic by modernist architect Emmanuel Vourekas, and the interiors, by the contemporary design agency K-Studio, use vintage and vintage-inspired elements to celebrate the era of the building’s construction." - Tablet Hotels

Fantastic place with a great location and exceptionally friendly staff. The hotel is about a 10–15 minute walk to Monastiraki. There are plenty of coffee shops and stores nearby, and the metro station is right in front of the hotel, which is incredibly convenient. The staff is outstanding — from reception to the restaurant, housekeeping, and security. Everyone is friendly, smiling, and truly helpful. The reception team greeted me with a warm welcome; I felt like I was meeting a friend. Stella, you are amazing! 😊 The rest of the team is just as kind and professional. Breakfast is rich and well-organized — everyone can easily find something to enjoy. The restaurant staff creates such a positive vibe, making it a perfect start to the day. Housekeeping is also at a very high level. My room was cleaned and tidied every day. Araksia is extremely caring, helpful, and kind ❤️. Overall, thank you for making my stay so comfortable and enjoyable. I will definitely come back again.

A perfect gem in a perfect location in the heart of Athens. 15 minutes walking distance from Monastiraki Square (and metro station that takes to the airport). The hotel has a funky 70's disco atmosphere, very well designed and every details got attention. The room was perfect !! Super comfy huge bed, boutique toiletries, very clean and well maintained. On the roof top there is a perfect bar with amazing view of the Parthenon and the city. The roof also acts as the breakfast lounge which is amazing and delicious. In the evening the the roof bar offers high-end food and drinks in a great romantic feeling. The staff is super nice, very attentive and professional. A great place to stay at ! Highly recommended.

Stayed 3 nights at Brown Acropol during the Athens Bar Show, and this was my second stay with the Brown Hotels group (after BoBo in Tel Aviv). I enjoy discovering conceptual hotel gems, and Brown once again delivers something different. ✅ Positive side: - Excellent central location near Omonia metro, walking distance to key sights and very convenient for Technopolis. - Bold, retro-inspired interior design — colourful, vibrant, and full of personality. It’s refreshing to see a hotel that avoids the usual generic décor and dares to build a concept. - Friendly and helpful staff; service felt warm throughout the stay. - Rooftop jacuzzi and bar/restaurant with spectacular Athens views - a highlight both day and night. - The room I stayed in was comfortable, well-equipped, and matched the hotel’s creative vibe. - Fair pricing for spa/massage — great value for a quick recharge after long days at an event. - Breakfast was good, and the rooftop setting makes mornings especially enjoyable. 🔽 One downside: I was given an interconnected room without being informed, and noise from next door was clearly audible. Hotels should notify guests or offer a choice - so it’s worth checking this before arrival. I’d deduct 0.5 star for this, but since that isn’t possible and 4 stars would be unfair to the overall experience, I’m giving 5 with this note.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Brown Acropol Hotel! The rooms are super comfy and the bed was large and heavenly. The staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable – a real highlight of our trip. Special shoutout to Steve at reception – he is the absolute best and always made our day whenever we saw him! The location is perfect, making it easy to get to all the main sights and/or meeting points. There's a beautiful view of the Acropolis from the rooftop and some free jacuzzi's to use too! I would say though, the sauna isnt free for guests which I found a little strange but this didnt take away from our stay at all. We would 10000% recommend staying here – can’t wait to come back!

Great vibe like an classic rock hotel with a nice welcoming atmosphere and chic aesthetics & warm fun vibe. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and always cordial & helpful with anything needed. (Thanks for everything *Steve! Would hang out with you anytime!!). Amazing service & def. Would come back - also great central location located next to subway station. So major landmarks & points of interest are within walking distance. Great hotel. Good WiFi. Great bedding sheets. Nicely scented towels. Great water flow. No issues whatsoever. + Bonus: Nice view of Acropolis from the top floor.

Lovely hotel in a good position for exploring Athens. My only slight criticism is the room was very small, although it didn't spoil our stay, would have liked more room and there was no view to speak of (not that we asked for that) One slight hiccup with towels, which were not left one day and when we went to the reception to ask for some, the receptionist took our details to have them delivered, but they weren't and had to ask the maid the next day. Generally the service was very good and a special shout out to Fanis in the restaurant/ bar for his attentive service. Enjoyed all breakfast's and evening meals we had. Fabulous roof top area, with jacuzzi's and sun loungers, with great views over Athens. Not perfect, but would still definitely stay here again.

We stayed here just before Christmas, so the holiday atmosphere in the hotel and the surrounding area was wonderful. It’s a nice boutique hotel, and the food served on the rooftop was very good. We did have a few maintenance issues at first: the coffee machine didn't work, the sink wasn't draining well, and the record player was broken. I mentioned this to reception in the morning, and by the time we returned in the evening, everything was fixed. They even replaced the needle on the record player! Towels were changed daily, and the staff was consistently kind and polite. A great experience overall.

We arrived to Athens on Saturday December 6, 2025 for a 7 nights stay and encountered a problem in our Deluxe room. Upon our request we were immediately moved to another one and the morning after offered an upgrade for the presidential suite without any further charge as a compensation for the inconvenience. We would like to appreciate the hotel staff and especially Steve who helped us with the changes of the room, was very kind, supportive and professional. The presidetial suite makes our stay happier and more comfortable! A BIG thank you!
