Brown & Green Life

WOWZERS! As very frequent visitors of Brown & Green for years now, we decided that upstairs at Life in Crystal Palace Park would be the ideal place for our wedding party. We use the community space upstairs from time to time for various events, and the setting is just beautiful. We got married in a registry office on a Wednesday and wanted to have our party on a Saturday. We opted to use their in-house catering SPAM PARTY FOOD and our guests were blown away! We wanted a party that was nothing like a traditional wedding. No cake-we had a brownie bar instead! No first dance, and somehow we landed on an 80's neon theme. The evening was just incredible-we decided to have a quiz which we weren't sure would work but EVERYONE played for the main prize which was a £100 bar tab. It went down a treat! The main thing we loved the most was the service. Laura the host new exactly what we wanted. She listened to every request and even managed to secure us a giant spinning disco ball! We wanted a camp party complete with disco cowboy hats, UV lighting, confetti cannons and delicious food-and my goodness did they deliver! THE FOOD-it was incredible! My guests were asking to meet Jess the owner of SPAM to congratulate her and her team on how wonderfully delicious everything was. The bar staff were so much fun and towards the end of the night, our party guests, the owners and all staff were on the dance floor which made us feel like we were right at home. I'll stop gushing, but if you want a venue that is on the lakes surrounded by nature and hosted by the absolute best-then we wholeheartedly recommend.

Lovely cafe with good food options in a lovely location. There are options to sit inside and outside, and a good amount of seating, although we went on a cold-ish day and it was packed. I can only imagine how busy it is in summer. The food we had was tasty and healthy, and there were lots of good vegetarian options. Dogs and kids are welcome, so that's nice if you have them but I can feel very busy with a lot of people moving around. Service was ok, I think everyone working was very busy. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here!

First time visiting this place and Crystal Palace. It did not look that special on arrival, but as soon as the staff came over everything became amazing. They were so helpful and all had great personalities that made the whole experience. We did not have to wait long for food or drinks and everything was great. I would highly recommend this place. You could also queue at the bar if you did not want table service.

Well-located café with lovely staff. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service very friendly. Unfortunately, the coffee wasn’t strong enough for my taste, and the cakes were pre-packed rather than fresh. Also quite pricey — £9 for a coffee and a small cake

Loved this little cafe. The food was hot and delicious (I especially enjoyed their vegan sausage roll!) and the hot chococolate was creamy and warming. Fabulous service too!

Just a bit confused to see a price on the menu, for very basic food, and then to find my card is charged a higher amount, and in the process I do not see. Please check this as I must have missed something -- surely I have to know before? The amazing view of the lake is lost by the cafe not having an upstairs terrace. I was told this is a surcharge for eating in. I was confused, put that price on the menu. It is 4 degrees and raining outside, I bought a cold piece of bread role, no butter, not toasted, with a pre cooked sausage, for a kid for £4. 1 small piece of brown bread with small baked bean for £4,50 -- fine it is small, but I then am unclear how this is not £8.50, without me agreeing anywhere.

Delightful coffee shop and cafe located inside Crystal Palace Park, serving fine coffee, sandwiches, pastries and etc, plenty of sitting inside and outside and a Five star food hygiene rating.

Amazing breakfast, amazing location and amazing service. Really enjoyed breakfast here at Brown & Green life cafe. It is located inside Crystal Palace park with seating both inside and outside. So when the weather is good it’s an amazing place to go and eat outside with lovely scenery outside. Would highly recommend this place and their veggie breakfast was very tasty.
