Brown Bag Provisions Is the Design District’s Newest Breakfast Destination - Eater Dallas

"D Magazine reports that the couple behind local yogurt line Milk and Patience just opened Brown Bag Provisions, a new spot for breakfast and lunch in the Design District. Located at 150 Turtle Creek Boulevard, the cafe is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stop in to grab coffee from Full City Rooster and fancy yogurt parfaits, with pastries and bread from Bresnan Breads (including sourdough waffles). Lunchtime means meals like falafel, braised pork shoulder tacos, and naan with yellow curry-braised chicken." - Adele Chapin

Pretty solid sandwich place in the design district. I ended up ordering the pastrami which was delicious. I'd consider coming back.

Came for the “patio,” it is just two tables so don’t get too excited. The cheesesteak sandwich was really good; the only change I would make is a bit of extra cheese. My wife had the BLT/Grilled Cheese and it is nothing but bread. We probably won’t return but some of the sandwiches and salads that we saw go out did look pretty good (wedge salad, fried chicken)

Amazing high quality products, cool vibe. Can’t wait to try more from this place! They make their own butter and have great local goods.

Visiting Dallas for a conference at a nearby hotel, we spotted Brown Bag Provisions on the map and decided to take a quick walk along the Turtle Creek Trail and stop in for lunch. That was the best decision we could make. The gentleman at the counter was a great help to give us tips on his favorite menu items and was super knowledgeable. I had The Charles (pastrami) sandwich and a side of wedge fries. The thick-cut pastrami was tender and rich, the melted swiss and whole grain mustard gave the perfect tangy accent and the horseradish pickles added a light kick that brought it all together. I'm planning to stop at least one more time before my trip is over. If you're in the area, make sure to stop in as well, you well love it!

Incredibly friendly owners. It was our first time at the restaurant, but they treated us like we were regulars. Oh… and the food is nothing short of outstanding. Everything is clearly made internally… including the pastrami and it rocks. Seriously, how many places in Dallas do you think make pastrami in house? Everything about this place rocks. This very well might be the best sandwich shop in DFW.

Googled best sandwiches Dallas on the way up from Houston. This place is amazing. The freshness and quality of food was superb. Service was incredible from the person who took our order to the owner who graciously gave us a box of pastries to try since we were from out of town. I had the fried cauliflower banh mi with pickles, cilantro, mint, mushrooms, and pickled red onion and hoisin. I would hands down get again but everything looked just as great.

《☆ Update: Unfortunately, this placed has closed down due to CoVid. The review shall stay up in case they reopen in the future at another location. ☆》 Nice little surprise breakfast/sandwich shop. The food is excellent, and the ingredients are surprisingly well matched to the tastebuds. I really enjoy their bacon breakfast sandwich. They have magic when it comes to how they toast the breakfast sandwich buns. It can be a bit messy if you order the lightly fried egg on them to go, so grab a handful of napkins. I ask for mine as lightly scrambled to help with the to-go highway eating.

We enjoyed their delicious corn beef pastrami today after reading about in today's Guide. It was delicious! We ate on their small but lovely patio. Weather was perfect! We will return to try some of their other selections!
