The food did not miss!! Came to BROWN bag seafood for a quick bite before checking into my hotel. Inquired with the host about food recommendations. She recommended the lobster roll or the fish and chips. Giving such a great description of the lobster roll I went with it. I was not disappointed. The tater tots were cooked to perfection and the lobster roll was delicious. Definitely try some of the boss sauce as well! Even left with some Swedish fish! I will definitely be back.

What a great place! I was greeted the moment I walked in by one of the workers who was clearly busy. Menu was a little confusing to me but I enjoyed learning how it works. I was craving fried fish, fried shrimp and some fries. This spot is close to my home so I was really hoping for good food. As I strolled just east of the street walkers and bar trash on division street, I found this awesome spot on the corner. This place is a solid 5. I look forward to coming back and trying the healthier options. Keep up the great work. The staff deserves an award and I feel bad for putting no tip. I’ll overcome my cheapness and take care of you all next time.

I’d been craving a lobster roll and I had a hard time finding one. While fancy places often have them, finding one on the menu at a more casual spot is rare. Luckily, I found street parking in the Gold Coast area and decided to try this restaurant. The small restaurant had a clean and well-thought-out layout. Although the lobster roll was $34, I couldn’t resist ordering it—and I’m so glad I did! The beverage I also ordered was that Ginger lemonade was perfectly balanced—not too sweet, with a refreshing finish, ideal for a hot day. The lobster roll came in a brown to-go box, packed with thick, juicy chunks of lobster nestled in a buttery, moist, toasted bun. Instead of the usual French fries, it came with crispy fried tots topped with fresh shredded Parmesan cheese—a delightful twist! Everything was crafted with care and attention to detail, which I believe was worth paying $34. They seem to have several locations in Chicago, but I’d love to see them open one in the suburbs. And if they do, I hope they keep this incredible food quality. That’s what made the experience so special!

The restaurant is very clean, and the food is absolutely amazing. I especially loved the taste of the lobster roll. However, one note: you should bring your own napkins or hand wipes, as the restaurant doesn’t provide any wipes or hand sanitizer.

I meant to grab something to eat at Sweetgreen across the street and walk past Brown Bag Seafood. The place has cosy seating, good music and nice vibes so I gave it a try. The food is delicious, reasonably priced and sustainably sourced. I’ll certainly come back.

Just ordered the Salad with grilled shrimp and super green garlic and herb dressing. It was fantastic. Bits of sweet potato and french fried onion and parmessan shavings. Added Ancient grain blend. What a great dinner! Aaron was a terrific server too. I will be back

Casual counter-service seafood restaurant. Very reasonable prices, very good food. Only about three booths in this restaurant. Unlike other locations, no alcohol is served here. Most of the orders appeared to be to-go orders, but we enjoyed our time sitting in the restaurant.

The food here is so incredibly good! The shrimp was amazing, probably some of the best I have ever eaten. The staff is also very friendly and it has a very easy going vibe. I loved it.
