Brown Derby Wood Fired Steakhouse Middleburg Heights

Went there twice this holiday season, will be going back very soon! Everything was delicious. My husband's steak was a perfect medium rare, he was very happy! My ribs were great! Staff was so friendly and efficient. I highly recommend you save room for dessert! I love the crème brŭlée!

Food was excellent . Owner/manager is a man of integrity and honor. Restaurant was packed with customers, a testament to their greatness. Noise level with a full restaurant was my only complaint, but not surprising considering. Recommended to take the time to visit this establishment.

While visiting Ohio for the holidays, we had the pleasure of dining at the Brown Derby in Middleburg Heights—and it was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we walked in, everything felt warm and welcoming. The food was outstanding. The ribeye was cooked perfectly—tender, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for in a great steak. The endless salad with their house dressing and fresh rolls was a meal in itself—so good we kept going back for more. And the grilled shrimp? Amazing. Perfectly seasoned and grilled just right. It’s easy to see why this place is a local favorite. Excellent food, great atmosphere, and a memorable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Ohio!

The last time I stepped foot in a Brown Derby was the early 1980's....so when visiting family for the Holidays, on a whim we decided to have dinner at the Middleburg Heights location. I was not sure what to expect...things have changed since the 80s and I was not feeling optimistic, but we were delighted by what we found! The restaurant was busy, but we were seated at a comfortable booth within a minute, and we met your server Lynn P. Lynn was very upbeat, super friendly and offered menu suggestions. We got drinks within minutes and were served a very large salad to share which was fresh and tasty....as well as a basket of fresh, hot dinner rolls. Lynn was back after a short wait with our steak and salmon dishes....all of which were perfectly prepared. Lynn continued to check in on us during our meal, refilling our drinks with a smile and some up-beat banter. The food and atmosphere made for a great experience, but Lynn was the icing on the cake! We will definitely be back to the Brown Derby on our next visit!

Hello, I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback from our visit on Saturday evening, December 20th. We were celebrating our anniversary, and this restaurant holds a special place in my heart—I grew up coming here, and it has always been an amazing experience for me. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing, and it truly made me sad. My ribeye lacked flavor, and my husband’s steak was also not good. Given how much we spent and how special the occasion was, it felt like a waste of money, which is really hard to say about a place I’ve always loved. I do want to mention that our waitress—whose name I didn’t catch—was wonderful. She was kind and attentive when she could be, though it seemed she was very busy and stretched thin. I’m not writing out of anger, just genuine disappointment. We had hoped for the memorable experience we’ve always known here, especially for such a meaningful night. This steakhouse is great! The woodfired grill they cook the steaks on is awesome! When you walk in you can watch them cook the steaks right there. The smell of the woodfire grill is amazing. The restaurant's atmosphere is quiet and cozy. I have never had a bad meal here in all the years I have been going here. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Went to dinner there last week and had a wonderful meal. My husband had the filet, and I had the ribeye—both cooked to perfection. The food was delicious. Our server was great, and we will definitely be returning.

I never like to leave poor reviews, but....the food was absolutely awful. My salad was SO brown and wilted. I am shocked they even served it to me. The code was so tough I could not chew it and the 'parmesan crust' was about a cup of breadcrumbs dumped on top. My family ordered steaks and they were mediocre at best. Prices are way too high for such disappointing food. Our server was kind, but we left hungry and sadly we will not be returning.
