The Brewery Discovery Tour continues. Quite possibly the last 🏍-based trip of 2024 (Halloween is this coming week. It's only 54° F today). I really enjoyed the northern location of Brown Iron so this seemed a good stop. First, and foremost, this is a restaurant. Brewery is in the name but that is secondary at this location from the instant you walk through the door. They have 86 beers available. Only 11 are theirs. And they don't offer tastings like any actual brewery does. Ok, that doesn't have to detract from the experience and most of the brews not made in-house are area local: MI, MN, IL, WI. Others range from DE & CT to CA & CO. Quebec shows up for a few, as well. The list breaks down by general styles: stouts, darks, ciders, sours, IPAs, gluten-free, non-alcoholic & easy/easier drinking. The last range from Helles to Oktoberfest to Pilsner and red ales. The food smells quite good. Notes of BBQ waft through. But I checked the menu when I was checking the hours last night. The pictures and descriptions sound great. But the prices are a bit high. Too high for a casual lunch at a brewery for this guy. I ate lunch first. It is a bit loud here though not annoyingly so. I can hear louder bits of conversations occurring 75' away. The music is a touch loud, a bit too pop & upbeat for my tastes but hard rock & metal aren't really a good choice for Yuppies for which this is a gathering place.

Good place to spend time with family &friends..they had wide varieties of beer.each beer tasted unique...cocktail was very good.. When it comes to service it was not that good. Service person took long time and she forgot the food we ordered. Little pricy. Food was good 👍.

Google
Everything was okay. The food was okay, the sauces were okay, portions were very average, presentation was unattractive at best, the service was passable - but our server was visibly annoyed when we complained that it was very cold inside. We were told the patio was closed and could not move. I brought a blanket in from the car for my shivering kids. The prices are on the high side for "just okay" food. It's a decent restaurant, but I don't see myself going back soon.

Google
The Manager and staff were awesome. I switched tables twice, once for it being too close to the door and my wife was cold and then again because our dinner party increased by 2 more people. The manager and staff did everything w/o any problems and were awesome about me being a pain in the butt customer. I will go back again and have told all my friends/family what a nice place to eat and hang out it is. Thanks again for making it a fun evening.

Did not have any mayonnaise, meals given to the wrong people, food was ok not great, server was nice, beer was good

Google
It's Dream Cruise week, so this is where we go for food and Picklebacks. It wasn't as busy as last year Yet was probably good since there was only one person running the floor. Waitress and food was great. I had the grilled Portobello sandwich which I feel is perfect for a summer day.

Google
We held my daughter and her husband's baby shower here. We had the two party rooms because our group was too large for just one room. It was very easy to meet the minimum spend requirement. The food was excellent -- we had a buffet with pulled pork, beer can chicken, salad , rolls, mac & cheese and buttered mashed potatoes. The guests raved about the food and there was plenty of it, with leftovers. Our servers were lovely, solicitous, responsive and efficient! Just two people handled drinks, clearing dishes, and miscellaneous questions for 50 people. Lindsey was especially thoughtful. We were able to arrive two hours early to decorate and set up on a Sunday morning. It was the perfect atmosphere for a mixed generation, mixed gender group. Very pleased with all outcomes! P.S. I had never had beer can chicken before. It was mostly bone-in dark meat, which I love -- and the seasoning was delicious. I'm happy to say we had plenty to take home. Highly recommend for people who like drums and thighs!

Google
My husband and I came in today around 330. The restaurant is gorgeous and the food is even better. What really stood out was our amazing server! She was the only one on the floor but she was very prompt and very personable. 10/10 food, service, atmosphere it’s a must visit for us!

Tammy D.

Yelp
The food is good. The beer list is long and needs to be studied but they gave us only one beer menu for 4 people. It's okay, I got a couple more which helped us decide. Happy hour beers are only their beer and is $5. It would be great if other beers were included. Service was good, maybe too good because the interrupttions were frequent and we were in deep conversation. She was doing her job. The dining area was not too crowded and we sat at a picnic table.

Nicholas E.

Yelp
After we got our beers and as we were waiting for our food, the host made us move tables and sat us amongst a private party filled with children at the back of the restaurant. The host seemed more concerned about making sure the trivia host's friends got a better table while our waitress was as confused as we were. What a clown show.

Jake P.

Yelp
Service was a bit slow at the bar on trivia Monday night. The wings were pretty good and the onion rings had a nice crunch. Great beer selection including a big barrel aged stout on tap

Craig K.

Yelp
I had lunch here today. I tried the brisket sandwich with fries. It was awesome! Very flavorful and delicious. The atmosphere is very nice. It's a brewery and has a very upscale feel to it. They have a large selection of brews and some are their own. There is a full bar as well. The staff was friendly and I will definitely be back.

steve P.

Yelp
A small group of us had arranged a club meeting there recently, and everyone certainly enjoyed the mammoth beer selection and the service was exceptional. We were a little unsure about getting separate checks but our server handled it with a smile! The food was better than expected,

Jen L.

Yelp
I've had good meals and bad meals here. The service is usually efficient. I recommend going during Oktoberfest--the special menu has some of their best food.

Karl L.

Yelp
This is still an outstanding place for great food, service, and beer. The high ceilings and large open area are a plus. Start with burnt ends drenched in sauce coupled with the beer hall nacho with the pickled onion, jalapeño and hatch chili queso. I had prime rib french dip a couple weeks ago, perfect horseradish sauce. That should be a staple!

Yelp
This is always a popular stop for my dining out Meetup group but we haven't been here in 2 years. For a Saturday evening, it wasn't busy, but the service was what we were use to when they were packed, leisurely especially at the end when our group was waiting for the checks. The food was enjoyed by all. Both the French onion soup and the brunt rib tips are in my top 3. Others enjoyed ribs, salads, and a burger. Since it wasn't busy, we didn't feel as rushed before. Parking was plentiful. Most of the group will be back on their own and I might put this on our "twice a year rotation"

Brian D.

Yelp
Stopped in today for lunch with a friend since we haven't been here yet. Got the brisket melt and some fried pickles and they were delicious. We sat at the bar and got great recommendations from Brittany for beers. She was very knowledgeable in different styles and helped us choose. Definitely will be returning again!

Timothy S.

Yelp
Nice micro brewery stocking all their own brew, staff is friendly prices are ok food is good as well

Yelp
Honestly, I feel really bad about writing this review, as I fancy myself as pretty laid-back when it comes to dining out, but you guys were definitely running your F team last night, not even A, B, C, or D. To begin with, it would be helpful if the hostess would ask us if we were going to take part in trivia because as someone who was not, it was very, very irritating to be sat to the table right next to it before he came in. Our waitress, Abigail, took a really long time to do everything, and for the hour and a half our party of three were there, she came to the table four times. Two of those times were to pick up the bill and cash us out, which took 30 min. To be honest, most of the time she was nowhere to be found on the floor at all. I get that some people have bad days, and truthfully, if she had said something, I would completely have understood, but not a single peep definitely did not seem to want to be there. Not sure what's going on with the food either, like I said, not trying to sound like Martha Stewart or anything, but no more real menus, price increases, and a reduction in food quality (pig candy was burnt and broken up), the optics are not looking good. I've been coming to this location at least once a week for over a year and have delighted in giving out-of-town friends a great time dining out, but yeah, this evening was subpar and left much to be desired.

Brandon B.

Yelp
Food is amazing service is great and it's so clean and such a smooth vibe. I love to come here and grab a good drink and chill.

Yelp
This was a pleasant surprise finding for me. I'm not sure I would found it had I not been looking for restaurants open on Mondays. I'm always hunting for the world's best barbecue, so I decided on this place pretty quickly. This place has the most beers on tap (63) that I have ever seen! It's a sports bar, so expect wall-to-wall TVs in the bar area when you walk in. While they weren't terribly busy while I was there, the bartender was busy serving everyone in the bar area, so the service was rather slow. As for the food, I loved my brisket melt topped off with a fried egg. The egg added just a bit of somethin' somethin' to the sandwich and the brisket was nice and tender. I also loved the Brown Iron Dragonfruit Mango beer that I tried: Fruit Ale w/ Dragonfruit, Mango & Vanilla Washington Township, MI 5.5%. I subbed in the Brussels sprouts for the kettle chips, and I could have used more seasoning on those. I also had the Upland Razz Cherry Beret, which I didn't particularly care for at first but grew on me after a bit Wild Ale Bloomington, IN 6% My lunch companion enjoyed the St. Louis Spareribs and a beer that wasn't on tap. He said he enjoyed it enough that he would come back. While I will skip the two items I didn't like as much, I would pop in again should I be back in the area. Rounded up from 3.5 stars.

Judy P.

Yelp
The beer selection is truly outstanding! The restaurant itself is huge, but sometimes service is slow. Food is ok. I definitely like the salads. The wings however do need some work. Recently they've introduced some specials which I think is great. Definitely one of the biggest beer selections in the Royal Oak area!

Karen C.

Yelp
Wide menu of BBQ, burgers, salads and large beer, wine and mocktail selections. Great space for families, groups and an outdoor patio makes this place work. We had the fish & chips, wings and burnt ends. A decent menu of gluten free selections including dessert. The fish & chips, brisket and brownie dessert were our

Jeremy N.

Yelp
Delicious food and great drinks! I love me a good craft beer selection and some great BBQ. This place has both! Service throughout our group's stay here was really good too. Usually when I ordered BBQ, I don't get a lot of food on my plate, but here, even with the sides, I got a pretty good amount of food to go along with my beers.

Liz L.

Yelp
We had a 50th birthday party here for my husband. We both grew up in Michigan, but moved out of state a few years ago. I was worried planning a party from another state would be challenging, but Ryan and his team made it easy. I priced a few different places, but chose this place and I'm so glad we did. Every single arrangement was quick and easy. I was able to come early and set up a few things for the party. Ryan was able to accommodate everything I needed. We had a group of about 60, and we had two servers dedicated to us: Falon and Ryleigh. They were amazing, very friendly and kind. Folks were milling around during the party, and Falon and Ryleigh were bringing drinks to them no matter where they were. Beyond our servers, everyone else we dealt with was great. They were prompt with refilling the food. The second something got low, it was refilled. No one had to ask or find someone; it was just done. All of the guests raved about the food as well. It was delicious. I honestly can't say enough about how great everything turned out. I highly recommend this place for anyone planning a party. It was easy, and the actual party experience was expectional in every way. Thank you Ryan, Falon, and Ryleigh, and everyone else for a wonderful party!

Dee L.

Yelp
We came here based on the ratings. Food was served lukewarm, VERY bland and the portions were small. Nothing impressive whatsoever.

Brandice W.

Yelp
Been here a couple times now and the food is always good. Customer service is ok. Came for lunch about a week ago and the fish and chips were so good! I got the garlic parm fries and I really liked the cucumber salad on the side.

Frederick R.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in Royal Oak! The mood changer is a great beer, Wednesday is bogo wings! Staff is really friendly, they do some trivia Food is excellent Check it out

Yelp
Black Friday is like Good Friday to us. Hah. We don't brave the crowds but we do use this day as an opportunity to simply hang out and drink lol. I live near the Washington Brown Iron and enjoy their food and beers so we decided to come to this location today. It was crowded!! But we did manage to get two seats at the bar. We have been to the Washington location on Black Friday in the past so it felt a little like Deja vu! Right down to watching De La Salle slaying Grand Rapids in the championship! What a game. I can't remember who they played last time but they won that year as well! Brown iron offers a brunch buffet on Sundays and they also offer it on Black Friday. We did do the buffet at the washington location, but neither of us is really into buffet style dining. So we both chose to skip it. They had a Bloody Mary bar and unlimited mimosa specials. Although a mimosa sounded amazing, I opted to go straight to the beers. He chose to get sample sized beers (6 oz) as we went as he was driving. I dove straight into the fist Amber that sounded good. Deer camp. We enjoyed a few beers while watching football as well as Futbol (world cup) and then decided to get some burnt ends. He loves them here and says they are the best around. We chowed! So yummy!!! One thing I was disappointed about was that they would not stamp our hop passports! They said it was only valid for their beers. But it doesn't say that anywhere. We would have chosen one of theirs had we known. Oh well. Lesson learned. We both live much closer to the Washington location so we would not go out of our ways to come back but it's definitely a great option if you're in the area.

Adrienne A.

Yelp
I tried Brown Iron Brewhouse because I saw several people raving about the fish and chips. The fish and chips are big enough to split. They were good but not my favorites. It probably wouldn't make my top 5 list but I can understand why it might make others. We also tried the brisket egg rolls and those were very tasty but kind of pricey. We also tried the onion soup and chicken tortilla soup and both were excellent.

Lulu V.

Yelp
Alexis the waitress was welcoming, attentive, and very fast. She was friendly, smiling, and honest with her opinions. We enjoyed the beer samples and her company. The food was phenomenal!! We were blown away by the flavors, the presentation, and the prices. We were seriously shocked to taste really good food without the overwhelming salt taste. It was delicious. The espresso burnt ends were amazing! The chicken tortilla soup was great as well. The drinks were strong and tasty, I got the party chica margarita with tajin rim. YUM!! Went on Saturday at 1 PM, was unfortunately slow, not too much commotion going on. Which is great for those who like it to be quiet, but sad for the business. Because they deserve to be so much busier! 10/10 recommend this place.

Chris K.

Yelp
This spot continues to delight me! Always much better food than they have any right having and a fantastic selection of beers, ciders, meads, cocktails, wines, etc. This place is always fantastic and I bring friends and family here everytime they visit. A real treat! Highly recommended.

M L.

Yelp
The food is amazing. Good variety, fresh. The service mid week is not (bar and main floor). To be fair, I know finding good help is hard so I still come back for the food.

Adrienne D.

Yelp
So disappointing. We only have two nights in Detroit and I'm sad I spent one here. Odd parking permit process started the trip to the restaurant, but there was some street event happening so no big deal. When our waitress arrived I placed my order and then had to repeat it, we could tell she was frazzled at that point. My boyfriend ordered nachos as an appetizer. He ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I ordered the pulled pork dinner. I also ordered a side of pineapple jalapeño slaw and a Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary arrived first with zero garnish. The food arrived all at one time. No space between the appetizer nachos and the main pulled pork meals. Pulled pork was fatty, mushy, tasteless. The table bbq sauce had fuzz stuck to one of the two nozzles. There was neither pineapple nor jalapeño in the slaw. Just watery cabbage. We had no silverware and asked the waitress that delivered the food for utensils. She said there was a knife shortage and the silverware wouldn't be rolled. All I cared about was a fork. She came back with the silverware rolled in napkins and landed one in the nacho sauce. I had also ordered a Coke, which was initially forgotten by the first waitress. The nacho cheese was the only good thing about this meal, but the tiny amount of pico on the large pile of nachos was disappointing. When we asked for the check, the waitress barely acknowledged us and was looking out a door. She went out the door, came back in two seconds later and got our bill. Was glad to leave. If I lived here, I wouldn't come back.

Yelp
I went to brown iron brew house on a Tuesday night with some friends and their families. When we arrived (around 5:30) it was pretty empty. The ceilings are high and the larger tables have bench seating sort of like a picnic table. The menu is great, there's some pretty creative things on it, which I appreciate. I tried the brisket cheesesteak egg rolls, and the Texas beef brisket plate with the potato crusted white cheddar Mac 'N cheese and the honey glazed Brussels sprouts. The egg rolls were good, and I thought they were interesting. The brisket was lean and plentiful. it wasn't super moist but it wasn't dry. The BBQ sauces they serve are really good - I used the garlic honey one. The mac was delish and the Brussels sprouts were my favorite thing on the plate - they were SO good. They have an extensive beer list, but I tried their NOHO mocktail and it was pretty good. The service was also good. They had carafes of water on the table which I appreciated. The waitress came around fairly often to check on us, and it was not a problem to split our checks. Overall, it was delish and I'd return.

Bob K.

Yelp
The brown iron is worth checking out. They have an extensive beer menu, and while I didn't eat any food, it did smell really good and the things that I saw go by my table looked pretty good. Service is OK. The waitress was available to our table, but not what I would call attentive. The lady that was acting as manager or maybe she's the owner, I don't know, was downright rude. I wouldn't avoid the brown iron because of this. It's limited interaction for sure. The atmosphere short of people that work there was decent enough in the places nice on the inside. It has a really nice patio that doesn't get a lot of traffic on the street side next to it and there's lots of shade which was quite nice. A good place for people who like to try lots of different beers and I suspect the food is decent

Cindi R.

Yelp
I am not exaggerating but I'm pretty sure there were at least 30 beers on tap!! I suspect more of a night spot. Very roomy restaurant area. Several large tables for big groups. Clean restrooms. Great friendly service. I had my typical Arnold Palmer with my bbq pulled chicken sandwich. It had the icon for a signature dish. I would agree. Chicken was tender and the sauce was perfectly portioned and I didn't add any additional that were offered on the table. I also opted for a $1 up charge vinegar Cole slaw in lieu of French fries. Was in town on business and used my trusty Yelp app to find a spot for lunch!! Thank you fellow yelpers.

Monica W.

Yelp
Pretty good all around. We went in, two of us? No reservation (not sure if they take them). Sat right away. Communal seating. Server was friendly but could tell he was running food runners brought out food and it was quick. Loaded tots, delish with a queso and crema. I got portobello tacos which was smoky but could've used more seasoning and were really watery. Husband got the brisket melt and was pleased.

Adonnica M.

Yelp
Great fast customer service. Food is always fresh and hot!! Chill, bar type ambiance.

Jeff L.

Yelp
Stopped here driving home after a Lions game. The service was essentially non existent. Had to ask for the waiter, then had to ask for our drinks and felt like we were a burden to be at the table. Had the chicken schnitzel. Sounded great but was simply two big chicken nuggets with a drizzle of gravy. The German potato salad was tasteless. The kraut did have some tang, but everything else was less than appetizing, especially for the money. They should have just used the chicken they use for the chicken sandwich, it would have been better hands down. The fattoush salad was fresh and tasty. But that's pretty hard to screw up. The chicken sandwich was good. The fries were good as well. Server couldn't even give us bill or take payment. Might be worst service ever. Definitely will not be back. Could see this place easily going out of business.

Amy B.

Yelp
Great friendly service by Kyle and amazing gluten free food and beer! Safe for gluten allergy!

Jay M.

Yelp
Cool spot, great beer selection, wings were tasty & the lunch special burger was delicious. Server was friendly & attentive. Will definitely return.

Codie Nicole A.

Yelp
We have been coming here pretty consistently when we can't figure out where to go. Never disappointed and can usually Jump on the waitlist and head that way and our table is ready! Def prefer the bar, but I do most places. Have tried pretty much the whole menu at this point except soups and salads and I got no complaints. The salmon dip is a great app, and the patty melt and brisket hit the spot! Wasn't too impressed with the Mac and cheese, but their garlic parm fries are a yum! I love that they have so many beers here and the fact you can get anything from a sample to a growler of almost anything! Spots like this are hard to come by.

Lisa S.

Yelp
Celebrated Father's Day with our two favorite things - brunch and Bloody Marys. I'm so glad that Blood Mary bars are back! The spread at Brown Iron had all the favorites. We also had rounds of beers (try the blackberry blonde from Cheboygan), pretzel sticks to start, and 3 out of 4 of us went with the BBQ hash. The other opted for the grilled cheese with tomato bisque. Definitely grab a spot on their patio this summer!

Jenna C.

Yelp
Usually not a fan of restaurants/bars in shopping plazas but they definitely have some perks - like easy parking! Plus this place was huge (mostly on the inside though) and we had no problem getting a table on their patio for happy hour (weekdays from 3-6 pm). I was impressed by the extensiveness of their beer menu, but they also had some wine options and hard seltzer smoothies. I opted to try a few different beers with a flight, but wow were they generous pours! I got the Crazy Hazy Blonde, Pear Pressure, Cherry Chuckle, and Blueberry Boyfriend - and out of those, my favorites were the Cherry Chuckle (hard cider) and Pear Pressure. Besides the beer, I was equally pleased with my meal. I went with the fish tacos listed on their Friday happy hour menu, and I would definitely get them again. Delicious! Service was pretty good too. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Brown Iron.

Mitch And Marcy G.

Yelp
Such a good first experience in Royal Oak today. Sparkling clean dining room greeted us for an early dinner stop. Tried the Hour Detroit Magazine recommended wings app. We prefer dry with sauce on side. It did not disappoint! Shared the fish and chips meal, came with tasty coleslaw (lots of celery seed), seasoned fries (very seasoned) and a good dill tartar sauce. All served piping hot. We'll be back.

Kailey R.

Yelp
I would give this place a 3.5-4 star review for my first time here. I know that it usually takes more than one time to give a true review though. The beer selection was large. I ended up liking my Brown Iron Unruly Cannoli Stout the best. Server was very kind, which always makes the expierence better regardless of how the food was. French onion soup lacked some luster. The cheese was delicious but the broth plain. Adding your own salt and pepper helped. Boyfriend got the "brisket burnt ends" appetizer which sounded delicious. However, it was basically pieces of brisket cut into cubes. Every single piece was fat which I'm sure is delicious for some people but usually burnt ends are lean, heavily seasoned pieces of meat. Server replaced it with something else no problem. Once again service can make all the difference!!. Brussel sprouts were delicious. Boneless chicken wings were alright. I would Give this place another try, not first up on my list though.

Cin E.

Yelp
Had appetizers (poutine, fried pickles a d nachos) and beer was excellent. I would suggest the poutine as probably as good as I have had anywhere!

Amy P.

Yelp
Get the fish & chips! They are DELICIOUS. There can be a bit of a wait on the weekends, so join the waitlist. Whatever you do, get the fish n chips!

Liz P.

Yelp
I came here today for the first time and everything was really good. It had been on my list for a while now - I don't eat gluten-free but a friend does, and a GF Facebook group I'm in is always talking about Brown Iron. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which came with garlic pickles and fries. There are three sauces at the table to choose from and I tried both the Candied Apple and Honey Garlic and liked both. Waitservice was also pretty good, our waitress checked on us a lot. I would definitely come back, the pretzel sticks looked good here on Yelp too. I will say it was a bit pricey - our sandwiches were about $15 each and they don't have a separate lunch menu.

Sally H.

Yelp
I don't eat a lot of bbq, so this isn't somewhere I would normally choose, but I've been here twice. The first time, we ordered the nachos and I had a burger. Burger was fine, not really memorable and the nachos were pretty decent, I wasn't crazy about the cheese though. I had one drink and it was STRONG. The second time I went, I had the Michigan cherry salad and that was really good. There was a variety of dinners ordered from salad to bbq and everybody at the table seemed to like everything that they had. The service was good, nothing to really comment about. I'd probably go back with a group if this is where they wanted to go.

Lauren H.

Yelp
The food is always very yummy. A little pricier but worth it. The service is always great as well and very polite. The ambiance is chill and since it's the summer, the patio is opened and that makes it more enjoyable. The tap menu is amazing. I always get the flights of 4, 6oz beers to try and it's honestly the best way to go if you want to try multiple beers. I love this place and will be back.

CJ M.

Yelp
Let me start by stating, this place just might not be for me... The food is okay, noting is terrible or bad, but the food for the price just doesn't add up. The staff is always busy, with one or 100 tables. They tend to disappear, forget to bring filled water bottles or new drinks. The overall experience is just okay. Too expensive for what you get. I hope they lower their prices or step up the service and food. ** did not try the iced tea

Tom R.

Yelp
Love this place. It is hard to find a good smokehouse that isn't using a frozen product. I have been to the Washington Twp location and loved it too. Salads above average Ribs - very good Brisket (fatty cut) is excellent Incredible beer selection. Staff has ALWAYS been friendly and accommodating. This place is a keeper and a regular spot for my wife and me. Since they now look for a review of ambiance, it is very nice, clean and makes you feel at home.

Herika E.

Yelp
Omg! Omg!! I absolutely love this place!! Nestled in a cool strip center right in front of Beaumont Hospital off of Woodward Ave. Brown Iron Brewhouse is serving up some of thee best BBQ ribs and Michigan Cherry salad I have ever had. With plenty of free parking, fun 80's and 90's jams playing throughout, and delicious food. It's no wonder why this place is always busy. I ordered the Michigan Cherry Salad, a full order of St. Luis Cut Spare Ribs (GF), and a Brown Iron Burger on a Gluten Free bun with Sweet Potato Fries. Where do I start? The salad was amazing! Fresh greens, candied almonds drizzled with cinnamon, real Michigan cherries as well as dried cherries, green apples, and a delicious vinaigrette tossed throughout. The salad was awesomeeee! The St. Louis Spare Ribs were perfectly cooked and the sauce(s) that they offer are a great addition for slathering on before you dig in! With the option of Honey Garlic (my personal favorite) or Candy Apple. Yum!! Not to mention the Brown Iron Burger. A nice size burger that is juicy and delicious! With a tasty Gluten Free bun and a side of fresh cut sweet potato fries made for more than enough food to share with my family. Overall, this place is rocking! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a cool spot to hang out, grab a local beer, and eat some amazing food! I'll be back!!

Yelp
I had been there 2 times. The first and the last. I went back because I like the food . Unfortunately the have removed the ribs which were very good and delicious . The side dishes are still very good but side dishes are not a complete meal. The bones were great, the French fries great. The sides dishes beans , slaw, and especially the cucumber salad was great. The staff were friendly and knew the menu well . I would go back if in the neighborhood but not as a.destination.

Yelp
This place has been on our list for a while since we go to Bucharest often. We were finally able to try Brown Iron and we had a great time! First, I love their huge beer selection. It is categorized really well and offers sample sizes. Plus, they do not force a certain flight size! I do not like to get samples in increments, I like to pick how many I try. Their sample sizes are quite large as well, 6 ounces, so getting four was like one huge beer. We picked from big breweries but also tried a few Brown Iron brand. I really liked their home beers, they were very well made and tasted fantastic. I had their strawberry shortcake, shandy, and rice style beers, all flavorful and tasty. I also scored Southern Tier pumpkin in a stout which was very unique. I am very eager to come back and try more! The food was delicious and now I am craving their salad. The salad was a great value and the pictures you see here on Yelp are very deceiving! The actual salad is way bigger than it looks online! I ate and ate and even shared a bit, and the amount I took home looked like I had barely eaten any at all. It was amazing and actually did not wilt the next day. I got the cobb with pulled pork and pulled chicken, and I added feta, chickpeas, cheddar, and ranch. I loved it! So good! The meat tasted amazing, the pork was tender. The mac and cheese was okay, not the best, but still good as a side. The soft pretzels were tasty with a nice queso sauce. The brisket sandwiches were good, but for the price had limited meat. They should have had more than one thin layer to make it worth purchasing again. The fries were good, especially the sweet potato waffle fries. I liked their bbq sauces, although I am not a bbq sauce aficionado and use them sparingly. I liked the atmosphere. We came as a family but this is a great place to hang with friends. The staff was friendly and filled me in on the brunch which sounds great. The staff was good about providing pop refills, which I appreciate since we went to a place a couple weeks ago that never offered any refills, even on waters. This is also a great location. I am in for more!
