Brown Jug Restaurant

This is, of course, an iconic place for any of us Michigan grads. I haven’t been there in years but we stopped by when we were in town for lunch. Very nice to see it uncrowned as when I normally go there it is on a football weekend when it is packed. Who knew that Steve Breaston was a fan of pulled pork and that Bo’s burger was with fried onions on sourdough rye bread. Very nice lunch spot and great stuff on the walls.

Great little place near campus. We popped in for a quick bite after checking out the campus/downtown area. Our family tried a variety of things from pizza to burgers, gyros, and more. The sweet potato fries were awesome! Everything honestly was delicious, only complaint by any of us was the pizza needed to be a little more well done, but it was still super flavorful. We'll definitely be back.

Food was better than I expected. The French Dip Au Jous was delicious and the chips that came with it were great. Service was overall solid, but I wish there would’ve been notification that a mandatory 20% gratuity is tacked onto all bills- is that a MI thing now? I probably wouldn’t have tipped 20% for lunch, one person, and the service received, but perhaps it was because of our party size.

I love coming to the Brown Jug on a game day. One of the best campus bars on the U of M campus. Drink specials and good bar food. Only complaint is the staff is WAY overworked, they run around like chickens with their heads cut off keeping up with orders. They need to add some staff but other than that it is a great place.

I was waiting for my son to finish some of his studies before meeting up with him. I randomly went into the Brown jug I can not believe how fantastic the spinach pie was! Very, obviously homemade here. It was coupled with very fresh tzatziki sauce. Also made from scratch. Mackenzie, my server could not have been more gracious. She was an absolute sweetheart, and very attentive.

As a Michigan fan, you have to come to this place. It's not as big as I had thought it would be but there are lots of great photos of Michigan celebs that have been there. The food was pretty good, although my wife wasn't fully thrilled with hers, which was the Stuffed Grape Leaves. I had the bacon bbq burger and my daughter had the chicken kabobs, both were very good. We visited in February so there wasn't a wait. I imagine this place is hopping on game day weekends.

I recently moved to Michigan from Texas and this was my first time here. It was great because I was having lunch with my future brother in law. Our server Bree was outstanding and the food was fantastic

The Brown Jug was one of the better stops for Pizza and Beer while in Ann Arbor a few years back. If I'm not mistaken Perry is the Proprietor And as a U of M fan I can say a doggone thing bad about this place. One of the better pizza pubs in Ann Arbor!!!
