Yelp
I've known Danielle Rowe of Brown Paper Design for many years and have had the pleasure of working with her and her team on multiple weddings. Danielle has a wonderfully calm presence and a creative eye. I always trust that she will execute the vision perfectly and exceed my expectations every time. Not only that but she is always introducing me to new little tricks of the trade from her time in Los Angeles and can always introduce me to the newest resource for something that I didn't even know existed! You will love working with Brown Paper Design!

Yelp
Danielle is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. And I am not one to hand out compliments excessively. I had extremely high expectations of all our vendors for our wedding, and Danielle was hands-down the best of the lot. To put it in context, I worked at a high-end florist when I was at Stanford, and I went through proposals from floral designers that do arrangements for French Laundry, Chez Panisse, Delfina etc etc. But Danielle fit our style, both aesthetically and personality-wise, perfectly. Both my fiance and I knew from the minute we first met her that she was it. Our first meeting happened completely last minute, and Danielle made the effort to meet us for breakfast at 830am in Palo Alto, when she lives in the city (when she's up in Northern CA, and not in LA, that is). She had her work on her handy dandy iPad to show us, and we explained to her our vision - modern, elegant, authentic, full of color and life - but not over the top extravagant. After our table mock-up at the rental company, my then-fiance told me that he had never believed that florals could be so beautiful. Danielle picked up cases of fruits that my mom provided for our wedding day arrangements, she sourced lily of the valley and other fresh seasonal flowers, supplied butcher paper for the kids tables for crayon drawing, and created stunningly beautiful tables at our wedding. Her sense of style is impeccable, and everyone could not stop raving about how gorgeous the flowers (and frankly, everything) were. She ended up providing design guidance on a variety of things from the lighting and draping in the barn, to ceremony aisle decor made up of small kumquat planters, to day-of signage, and she was resourceful up until the very end. She even brought leftover arrangements to our day after brunch so that our guests could enjoy the arrangements for just a little longer. We had an amazing wedding - not just because it was so perfectly planned and beautifully executed - but that definitely helped. As my hubby says, he thought ppl who wanted over-the-top weddings were always a little misguided - until we had our own - and having memories that are just that gorgeous really do add to how special the memories become. And those special memories absolutely wouldn't be as beautiful as they are without Danielle's artful eye apparent everywhere that day.

Yelp
I thank my lucky stars that I found Danielle. I fell in love with her work the minute I saw her portfolio. At first I thought she only covered LA, but to my delight, I realized she did weddings in SF as well! Danielle is not only a great floral designer but has holistic artistic vision. I didn't have a planner/designer, and with Danielle I didn't need one. I gave her photos of my design inspiration, flowers I liked, and decoration details, and she helped me pull my thoughts together. She gave me recommendations on things I could buy/rent (she found our linens and dinner chairs, and told me about demijohns), and gave me great advice on the overall décor (including exercising restraint!). I loved loved loved our flowers. She took my ideas, and took them much further, pulling together a cohesive look that was still fresh. Our wedding made it into Style Me Pretty's Best of 2012, and Danielle deserves a lot of the credit! Danielle, thank you for being a pleasure to work with, and helping us have the wedding of our dreams!

Yelp
Danielle came into my life at a very difficult time and with care and kindness planned every detail of our family's event and made it memorable and beautiful. I will never forget and cannot say enough about her team. You will not regret hiring Danielle's team to organize your event. The results will marvel you. mmm

Yelp
From our very first consultation until my gorgeous wedding day, I knew I could trust Danielle 100% with my vision for the event. She took my admittedly abstract ideas and made them a beautiful reality, while thoughtfully taking into consideration my budget! Not only is she an amazingly talented florist, but her event design expertise helped SO much. From fabrics to lighting to decor -- she knows it all. I thought I was going to be buried in flea markets searching for the perfect quirky candleholders months before the wedding. Nope! She has it covered! After our first meeting, I never thought about decorations again. What a relief. Her soft and organic aesthetic translates so beautifully into a wedding. I enthusiastically recommend her as more than a wedding vendor...she's your wedding partner!

Yelp
Wow! I was worried about the florals for our October 2013 wedding -- not because of anything Danielle did (to the contrary, every discussion with her was easy and professional), but only because we were planning a destination wedding in California from Philadelphia and I couldn't see the mock-up in person and Danielle was restricted to flowers grown on the venue's farm. But, my gosh, there was no need to worry at all. Every last detail was executed to absolute perfection. Even things I only mentioned offhand were there and were divine. Our florals were lush, and full, and romantic -- like A Midsummer Night's Dream -- interspersed with coordinating local fruit. Every penny spent was well earned. BPD also custom designed our gorgeous draping. It was better than we'd hoped for. We wish BPD nothing but continued success.

Yelp
Brown Paper Design did all the flowers for my June 2013 wedding. I was referred to several floral designers, but BPD provided the best value for my money. Their ideas were also in line with mine, but they were able to add some extra special details to really make our bouquets pop. Danielle and Kelly were AMAZING. Communication was easy and open. Email responses were super fast. My favorite thing about BPD was their willingness to work within my budget. On the day of my wedding, I was floored to see what they had done with my budget. I did not have to sacrifice quality or creativity at all. My in-laws had made some of their own succulent arrangements and Kelly even offered to deliver and set up these arrangements for us. Awesome!! I was so impressed with BPD and would recommend them over and over again.

Yelp
Danielle at Brown Paper Designs just handled the flowers for our daughter's wedding and we loved working with her. The flowers were gorgeous and even better than we had hoped. Danielle was friendly, kind, enthusiastic, calm and a wonderful problem-solver with a great eye for creating beautiful and unique arrangements. We had an unusual problem with a wedding canopy and she came up with the perfect, beautiful solution for us. I would highly recommend her for any event! She was truly a pleasure to work with!

Yelp
Where to begin... As the newest team member of Alison Events Planning and Design I have had the pleasure of working with Danielle and her team on multiple events and each time I am blown away but her creativity, her eye for design, patience and professionalism. Danielle looks at every job with fresh eyes, gets to know our clients and works quickly to create the most memorable events anyone can ask for. Her approach is calm and she takes the time to get to know each client likes, dislikes and most importantly always finds ways to save the client money! We are extremely lucky to work with Brown Paper Design as often as we do and you will love working with her too!
