A neighborhood brewery with national cred: the Brewers Association named Brown Truck Very Small Brewing Company of the Year, and regional writers continue to praise its saisons and rotating taps. Expect a laid‑back patio and frequent food trucks.

Brown Truck Brewery is a nice hangout spot. Recommend the No 10 American Light Lager

Larry Koch

Google
Very nice location. Service was good. Loved the live wood tables. The award winning light lager was great. We tried a couple IPA's and we're not impressed. They obviously make great lagers and if you like lagers they are some of the best.

Richard Pedretti-Allen

Google
Well-designed and well-made beers! They decorate with the competition medals they've won. I don't live nearby but anytime I get near, I stop in for fresh beer and beer to go! Check it!!

Tony Briceno

Google
I can't wait to go back and spend time on the patio. The outdoor seating looked amazing. I really enjoyed the beer and wished the Mexican Stout was in a bottle to shelve for a while. The bartenders were sweet, but not the most knowledgeable about the beer.

Google
Brown Truck Brewery is very inviting from the street. Their outdoor areas soft lighting and greenery around the patio is very pleasing. The large brick fireplace made it even more appealing on this crispy night. There are picnic tables as well as outdoor sofas for comfortable seating. Lobster Dogs food truck was parked near the entrance, one of many trucks that frequent this lovely establishment. We were treated to soft Tortilla pork & chicken tacos from a business down the block. The tacos went perfectly with their selection of beers. The #40 Harvest Saison was a dark orange pumpkin brewed sensation that made you remember it was fall. The #4.5 Dry Hopped Saison made with a variety of citrus, leaning more towards grapefruit, giving it a perfect bitterness to compliment the spicy sauces on my tacos. The inside is small & cozy but perfect to grab a seasonal beer and go with family and friends. The entire staff is friendly and service oriented, always with a smile. I look forward to returning and showing others from Winston-Salem this great High Point Brewery.

Google
Their beer is amazing. Foodtrucks are usually top notch. On this day they were amazing. Winner of multiple awards for their beer. The new awning was a game changer. The only negative is that it should be bigger. Took the food home. Thats a Joe Dirt and a Corleone. The other stuff on plate did not come from them. Food was not cheap but was obviously fresh and flavorful. Number 82 Porter was very tasty. One of pics has full description.

Nice place. Great drinks. Comfortable seating.

Google
Drove by this place about 9:30pm and was drawn to it by the beautiful patio lights. I had never been to this establishment before so I wanted to look around & get a drink. I walked up to the bar and the staff didn’t even attempt to acknowledge me. No, hello. No, how are you doing. No, thanks for visiting but we are closing soon. Absolutely nothing. They kept cleaning the tables and putting up chairs. Needless to say I left. I hope the service here isn’t as terrible as tonight’s display because it truly has a beautiful patio but that type of “customer service” will definitely sever business potential.

Yelp
Pulled up to this spot and immediately dug the vibe -- chill, friendly, and the kind of place where strangers actually talk to each other. That's my scene. I ain't trying to sip in silence like I'm in a library. Had a flight -- not amazing, but not offensive either. Somewhere between "meh" and "yeah I'd sip that again." But then. Just as I'm about to cash out, the largest cockroach I've ever seen decides to make its grand entrance. Full sprint across the bar like it owned the place. We pointed it out, and the whole bar absolutely lost it. The bartender screamed like it was a horror movie. One guy tried to catch it but acted like the thing had fangs. Finally, a dude with a mustache stepped up like a true hero and handled the situation -- probably deserves a plaque. 3/5. Great vibes. Solid people. But I draw the line at pet roaches.

Yelp
Visited brown truck o. Tuesday to run with their run club. It's been a while since I visited. I had forgotten Tuesday at Brown Truck = $3 pints, which is a great value! Weather was great, and we were able to take advantage of the outdoor patio. Staff was friendly, but unfortunately they're still recovering from furniture market, so had a lot of empty taps, but I tried their crispy mountain haze IPA and it was great. Ill definitely be back to take advantage of this great Tuesday night promo

Yelp
A staple in High Point. Brown truck has the nice outside sitting area with plenty of seating inside as well. Fire pits outside that makes it cozy. But the beer by far is the focus. Excellent all around. Also have food trucks from here and there. Gotta love it!
google avatar

Yelp
Always a good time at this little hidden gem in High Point. They have a very large patio with lots of seating. Check their calendar because they usually have a food truck and often have live music. The beer is always good. There is a restaurant next-door where you can order food and bring it over. Definitely check out Brown Truck!

Yelp
I've driven past this place so many times that it's really a shock I've never stopped in here. I dropped in tonight on a quiet Monday for a few brews with a friend and had a great experience. There is ample outdoor seating with a chill vibe, comfortable seats, and nice lighting and music. Inside seating is limited so i could see that being a problem in bad weather. The draft beer selection is good with a few guest brews and many of their own, ranging from lagers to porters to IPAs. I enjoyed a hazy IPA and a Gose tonight and both were very good. The staff is very friendly and attentive, made good recommendations, and are happy to offer samples. Pricing is comparable to other breweries I've been to. I'm very excited to have Brown Truck as an option so close to home, and will definitely be adding this as a more regular destination when meeting friends.

Yelp
Nice outside area and dog friendly. We stopped in the same day as the new release saison and it was great! We arrived in the middle of trivia which was fun to listen to. They also had a food truck but we had already eaten. Fun spot!
google avatar

Charon R.

Yelp
Went in for the Bourbon Winter Ale and it did not disappoint. Should have stopped at one!! All good though and walking distance for us! We are in at least once each week and love having such a good brewery so close by. Food trucks and live music are a regular occurrence so check out their Facebook page.
google avatar

Yelp
Cool vibes, killer outdoor seating and ambience, and nice collection of beers! The place is packed any day of the week, and the bartenders are always smiling and friendly. They have live music a few days in the week, and food trucks as well (like other breweries in area). You can also get your own food. We love hanging out for a light American lager or two in the evenings here now and then.
google avatar

Andrea I.

Yelp
The outside area is amazing! The firepit and heating lamps help you stay warm when it gets colder. Very nice selection of drinks available. Nice area for live music. Food truck available for food.

Yelp
Good beer, good seating, good atmosphere. We had a group of 10 walk or bike from the train station to here on a sunny Saturday, so everyone was pretty thirsty by the time we arrived. Fortunately, it was not busy yet. Brown Truck has lots of outdoor seating, which makes up for the small interior. The beer: I'm not an IPA drinker, but sampled and got a half pour of a peach IPA as it wasn't too hoppy. My second glass was a refreshing lemon meringue gose. I wasn't too sure about it as I thought it'd be super lemon-y, but it was just light enough and refreshing for the warm day. In addition to their beer, they also had a few guest beers on tap. Someone in our group snagged a glass of an Oreo stout (which none of us saw listed) and wow, great flavor! That day, there was a seafood vendor set up and you could get a plate of shrimp, and there was a bahn mi food truck bailable as well which someone in our group got pot stickers from. Nextdoor there is a barbecue place, but be prepared to wait forever. I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday evening while visiting a friend local to hear some music and enjoy a drink. Love the location and outside area with fire pit and ample seating. Inside was well decorated and love the mix of tables or space around the bar. No food truck was there the night we came but they still had some snacks, non alcoholic drinks and a place next door you can bring food in from. Staff was friendly!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a cool space, though many of their beers were not my favorite. I came in here on an early Saturday afternoon and there weren't many people there. However, I've also visited on a Friday night when they were packed. The last time I was in, there was a food truck selling lobster rolls, which were delicious. There are always putting out new things, which is what I like to see at a brewery. My concern with this brewery is that they didn't have a lot of light and drinkable options last time I did flights there. They tend to specialize in the darker lagers and porters. The #25 had a winter spice feel to it and was served with a sugar rim. It was my favorite. The #5 had a bitter aftertaste and I didn't care for it. The #50 tasted strongly of coffee and didn't show much originality. I really didn't like the #83, since it was very heavy and dark. #10 was enjoyable and easy to drink. The seltzer they had that day was fruity and tasted like smarties. They also had a very Apple-forward cider that tasted a lot like apple juice. This is a great place to grab some beers. If you're a dark-beer person, unlike me, you'll love it!
google avatar

Cassie F.

Yelp
Great service and fun beer options. You can get a very inexpensive flight! I love the fire outside too. Great local spot. I also appreciate the non-alcoholic options.
google avatar

Hector B.

Yelp
Great find thanks to a client's advice! I tried most their beers and really enjoyed them in flights. Every one was well made and appreciated. Service was solid and Southern kind. Atmosphere was pleasant and comfy. Overall, I will return. See each beer with a bit more detail on Untappd!
google avatar

Dylan G.

Yelp
Brown Truck was fun. We stopped here for the first time for an after hike beer and I grabbed a flight. My wife enjoyed the Number 14(?) IPA (also in my flight) and I had the Baltic porter, the red velvet stout (hell yeah) the strawberry blonde and the coffee IPA (also very good.) The outside area was pretty chill with the couches and such. People seemed happy all around. They had some pretty cool mural work on the outside of the building and the bathrooms were clean. We'll come back to try more of their brews.

Yelp
Just tried to go in as I'm in town for market and staying at a Airbnb across the street. Felt like a ghost sitting at the bar waiting for someone to talk to me. Sat there for 30 minutes and left. Not sure what's happening, just very disappointed that I was treated that way. Crazy non service oriented. Totally ignored me. Don't recommend.

Yelp
Best craft beer around, they have something for everyone even the gluten free folks. We are here no less than once a week, fun atmosphere great seating always have great food trucks on site. Love love love BTB. They do it right.
google avatar

Nicky S.

Yelp
First time here and we will definitely return on our next trip to High Point. The place was hopping with activity...a band, a good variety of people, and plenty of seating. Definitely worth the stop to enjoy the ambiance and some beer.
google avatar

Brian H.

Yelp
Great local hangout with a nice outdoor area and live music most weekends. They brew some excellent beers.
google avatar

Gina P.

Yelp
We found this place as we were driving through downtown and had to quickly stop to see what it was like. The outside seating area is my favorite! Perfect for any time of day. Very relaxing atmosphere when you're with a group of people or out on a date. The inside is a tad bit small, but still really cool design to the place. Very modern and fun vibe to it. The workers are extremely nice and help you out if you're not sure what type of brew to order. We got the cherry cider, which sort of reminded us of Redds. It was without a doubt good. Wish there was a little bit more of a selection when it came to ciders, however it is a smaller place and the virus could, for all we know, affect what they all make. We will definitely be coming back here, without a doubt. We love the whole atmosphere of the outside area and it's the perfect spot to sit down and a few brewskis!

Yelp
Happened upon this place after a ride on the High Point Greenway (which itself is awesome). Turned out it was $3 pint Tuesday which was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Enjoyed a couple of pints on the front patio. Very nice experience.

Kay V.

Yelp
Discovered this gem while out bike riding --(at the end of the Greenway in High Point- just a short distance to Main Street--) and has now become a regular stop! Always a great selection and welcoming vibes from all. Outdoor seating is cozy and with occasional live music and offerings from food trucks, you will not be disappointed! Soon to expand !
google avatar

Nathan P.

Yelp
They have good local beer. Tasting room is a little small, but they have a huge outdoor seating area that is great. They have food trucks that sell food there sometimes as well. Definitely a high point of High Point ;-)
google avatar

Amanda F.

Yelp
Drive here from Alamance on a rainy Sunday after having their beer in our local Harris teeter. It's a cute little brewery with an excellent selection of beers. It's so refreshing when we find a brewery that offers more than 15 IPA's because not everyone likes IPA's (aka US). The bartender was a very nice young lady and overall it was a great visit.
google avatar

Kecia M.

Yelp
Cool little brewery on a hot afternoon. Hubby enjoyed a hoppy flight. I enjoyed the seltzer
google avatar

Jamie D.

Yelp
This was our first time at this brewery and we were really impressed. Def worth the trip from Winston! They had a great outside area with a food truck and band. There was a fire pit and heaters scattered about. The inside was a little smaller but still a nice place. We started with a flight and enjoyed each beer we had. We tried the IPA, seltzer, sour, and winter ale with a cinnamon sugar rim! My favorite drink was prob the sour and on Saturday's they use their peach blonde sour and la Marca to make a beer-mosa!! So good! I really like their winter ale too and the seltzer was also surprisingly refreshing. Oh they are also dog friendly and sells snacks as well. Bartenders and manager both very nice!! We will def be back!

Yelp
Great place. Knowledgeable and extremely helpful staff. I recently went to buy some of their beer for my son in law who has been enjoying craft beers for many years. As someone who is not a beer drinker, I had no idea where to start. The staff listened to my descriptions of what he usually enjoyed and made some great recommendations. They were respectful and friendly and didn't pressure me at all. I ended up buying two different selections. Happy to say my son in law was very happy with the purchases. The recommendations were spot on. Would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Jim K.

Yelp
Cool little spot in downtown High Point with very nice craft beers on tap. They have a good selection of unique options on draft to choose from. The interior space is fairly small however there's a large patio with comfortable seating outside for nice weather. A great place to meet friends, talk and enjoy well crafted beer.
google avatar

Karla F.

Yelp
I am excited to see how Brown truck grows. In terms of beer, they did not have any that I found amazing. However, to me, I could see them growing into something great. I love the location, set up, and atmosphere. I just think that being surrounded by so many breweries, you have to have something unique, and I didn't get that vibe from them...yet. Needless to say I will be back, I cannot wait to see what this place is like in a year or two!!
google avatar

Paul R.

Yelp
The craft beer scene is burgeoning across the country and it's continuing to grow in the Triad. One of the best breweries in the area is in High Point, where Brown Truck has already won several awards within two years of opening. There's a good variety of beer to choose from and even their IPA's are good! (I usually don't like them.) The interior is pretty small which would be cramped if the weather outside was poor, and this was the case when a pop up storm hit the day I was there. The outside seating area is very nice, though. Bonus points for beer flight holders shaped like the state of North Carolina. That is a very nice touch.
google avatar

Nicole N.

Yelp
This was a great find near Greensboro! Their beers are great and finally this brewery has plenty of parking! They also host different events at night, so tune into your social media & keep up to date with what's happening here. They have a lot of choices, IPA, stouts, ales & seasonal beers. I loved the raspberry & milk stout. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. And the place always seems to have crowds of people so you'll never be alone. Great place to grab a beer with friends and chill on a nice weekend afternoon or evening.
google avatar

Holly L.

Yelp
Looking to try something new this week? Add some flavor to your week at Brown Truck Brewery. The menu offers wine, cider, and original micro-brewed beer. There is both indoor and outdoor seating (perfect for summer nights.) The brewery also features food trucks & live music!
google avatar

Mike P.

Yelp
I've been to Brown Truck twice, and I have not been impressed. The space is neat, especially all the outdoor seating, and they do offer a lot of options. The problem is I've never found an option I really enjoyed. The beer always sound great, with good combinations like a chocolate cherry stout, but the flavors don't live up. Brown Truck has a lot of potential; maybe one day they'll rise to it.
google avatar

Nate H.

Yelp
Brown Truck Brewery is a welcome addition to High Point. It is on Main Street right beside Kepley's BBQ. There is a large parking lot with plenty of spots right beside the brewery. The place itself is very nice. There is a stage outside where they host live music. There is also plenty of seating outside and they have corn hole for your entertainment. The inside of the brewery is a little on the small side, but it might have just seemed that way, because when we were there someone was having a big birthday party with lots of guests. Even though there were a ton of people there, the bartenders were attentive. I tried the Belgian Triple and the IPA. The Triple was average, but I really liked the IPA. This is a good brewery as far as breweries in the triad go. It is a good place to come and relax after work and seems to be a popular spot even during the week days. I will definitely be back, and plan on trying a flight next time.
google avatar

Yelp
We were in town for a college tour and I had read some good reviews of the beers here. We visited on a Thursday afternoon around 4 so it wasn't that busy. We found plenty of parking in the lot next to it. Upon walking in there is a nice looking bar and there is also other table top seating available and you can sit outside as well. We were warmly greeted by the bartender and given a draft list. Dogs are welcome here as there was one right next to us that was very friendly. The raspberry American stout was one of the best stouts I have had. It's not heavy and is a great summer beer or anytime for that matter. I also had a New England IPA that was good. The people at the bar are really nice and we had a good time. Would definitely come back.
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
This place has changed. And not for the better. Used to I could come here and talk to perfect strangers about nothing in general, and have a great time. Cool bartenders. All of that is gone. Now days its the younger generation in here. Millennials trying to look cool. They have the worst music I have heard blasting every time I come here. No thanks. The beer has slipped too. Of course bad music, bad servers, and bad patrons surely havent helped that, but the latest offering was a watered down sorry version of what was once great beer. Just wait til daddys credit card runs dry and you have to start buying your own beer. Where ya gonna be then? Sorry but there are far too many breweries and tap rooms around to visit this place again. Off my list. Way to go Brown Truck. Take something great and make it completely horrible.

Yelp
I thoroughly liked this new little gym in High Point. The Brown Truck Brewery, is in my opinion, in the perfect location. It's easily accessible from Main Street and a good walking distance from other surrounding bars and restaurants. They do not serve food, but often have a food truck on the premises. We tried the beer flight, in which you get to pick 4 of their 7 choices. I loved the Dubbel and the Belgian Blonde, and my boyfriend really liked their Scotch Ale and Saison. All of our choices of the beer flight had nice flavor and depth, and wasn't bad for $8! The staff is superb and I know that Brown Truck Brewery is the perfect addition to High Point. My hopes is that their appearance sparks more growth in that area of High Point! This is a great place to hang out and have a nice conversation. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Let me preface with my husband and I have made a hobby of going to breweries in North Carolina. Brown Truck Brewery was our 92nd! It was a Friday night, there was a band, food trucks, and we were excited to try it out. Unfortunately our first impression was wrong. We've been to breweries with not so great beer, not so great atmospheres and not so great food, but I can't think of single one with the bad service we received that evening. I waited, at the bar, leaning against it, face to face, with 3 bartenders behind the bar for 25 minutes to be served. I was never told: "hey, be right with you," "sorry we are behind," not even a friendly smile. It seemed they were pretty miserable. When I was finally served, the beer I wanted took 6 minutes to pour. I finally said I would take a beer that worked so I could finally move from the bar. When I went to tab out, after receiving my beers, I told the man I had waited for a while and he laughed and said, "that sucks." That same bartender we saw later on his phone behind the bar with people waiting to be served. I can handle bad beer, but bad service and rude bartenders.... we will not be back. * 2 stars because the beer was actually good.

Yelp
Really cute brewery. The outside seating is probably my dream porch. The inside is quaint and specials small features. The wood tables were the talk of our time there. The beers were the best we had all day. I went with the American lager and ginger lemon saison and incredibly impressed. I tasted my friends Coker Stout which reminded me of an Almond Joy and I also loved it but I felt it would be better if it was served in the winter time. The bartender was extremely nice to us and helped us with any of the samples that we wanted to and suggest some beers that we may like. I wish I would've come here when there was a food truck I feel like the atmosphere would've been a little bit more up beat and we wouldnt have had to leave to go find other interactions but we were there earlier in a Saturday. I can't wait to go back and experience the other opportunities that they have presented for the community. And try their amazing beers that they continue to come out with.
google avatar

Jimmy K.

Yelp
Excellent beer! I am a beer snob and this brewery has been able to craft a great beer that distinctly brings to life each style of beer! From their Saison, to the English Dark Ale, to the blonde ale...each beer is unique and a wonderful example of each different style of beer! The atmosphere was excellent and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The owners were also onsite to ensure each guest has a great experience. Brown Truck Brewery is a must and most importantly, the beer is excellent!!!
google avatar

Greg K.

Yelp
When we discovered that one of the Triad's newest breweries was practically in our back yard, a visit was absolutely in the cards! Decided to drop in one Sunday afternoon to find the place absolutely jam-packed. Every table taken, standing room only in the small space. It was sort of a rude awakening after we had Four Saints in Asheboro to ourselves earlier in the day. Either way, the bartenders were friendly and easy to grab their attention amidst the throng to place a drink order, which we turned into on flight and a pint of their English. The English was rather average, but in the flight we got their Saison, which was outstanding. I'm not normally a fan of those, but this one was phenomenal. I'm looking forward to getting back as they keep carving out their niche in the Triad's growing craft beer scene!

Fred M.

Yelp
Brown Truck has a new general manager--Mike, who organized a great concert by the Ardmore Brass Quintet plus One last Sunday, delivered a great beer variety, and picked up a tuba and joined the band! Great place, Mediterranean food truck and vendors included. Four thumbs (from both of us!) up.
google avatar

Kristen B.

Yelp
Quaint local brewery with a good selection of craft beers. Prices seemed reasonable and it had a great vibe. Big outdoor seating area and host food trucks at the venue. Will return!
google avatar

Emma H.

Yelp
Ok brewery. Nothing too much to rave about. Staff are not overly friendly but are nice. Wish they had a larger selection. Inside isn't very big. Love their fire pits outside tho. & they are dog friendly so that's a plus!!

Sean R.

Yelp
Weird bartenders. They don't serve properly. They make unnecessary comments. Horrible environment
google avatar

Abry O.

Yelp
I loved this place! The atmosphere is so friendly and chill. Love music to enjoy also! They have some pretty tasty beers too! We came here one night after a wedding reception and the whole party was able to find an area comfortably for everyone to sit down and be together. Some of the people played corn hole and the rest of us just talked! They sell cute little succulents at the bar, I bought some for 5 dollars. Awesome place
google avatar

Karen E.

Yelp
I LOVE Brown Truck. Delicious beers, awesome staff. Val was fantastic tonight. Try it out! I got their Farmhouse Ale and Winter Belgian Ale and they were both amazing.

Yelp
Easily five stars. I arrived shortly after opening. As I walked in, another guy walked out with a full growler and a smile. The good vibes were in motion and continued inside, as I walked to the bar and my daughter and grandson strolled around. We'll my grandson, was charged up and ran around. ha. We were greeted immediately, with smiles from two employees. I asked a few questions about some of the brew and tried a couple of samples. I chose the Dry Hopped Saison. All goodness Quite often, people write favorably about their various visits, when there are many people around them, adding to the social vibe. I understand that, but I tend to go and create my own best experience, regardless of who else is around me, zero to a group of others. It was noon time, with only a handful of others inside, before I left. Still, I was stoked to be there, enjoying good brew, admiring the character of the inside and outside spaces and the friendly service of Trisha. She knows her brew Note: There's a cool firepit on the patio. Overall, this was my first brewery visit in the Triad. I'm happy that it was at Brown Truck, High Point. I will return. Oh, my grandson enjoyed the juice and we appreciated your patience with his high energy.

Yelp
It's a nice casual place to come hang out. There is at least one tv if not two usually with sports on so that is nice. The crowd is the usual craft beer crowd but less hipster. There is outside seating with a fire pit. The owner is very nice and knowledgeable about the beers he brews. He gave us a detailed description of each beer on tap. There are roughly 8-10 beers on tap from what I can remember. The IPA #14 is the best IPA I've ever had. I would drink that beer everyday if I could. The prices are average with craft beers between 4.50-6.00 a glass. They do offer a 22 oz lager at a good price so that's a plus. I can't wait to go back.
