Perfection, as usual! I love the Farmington location but due to COVID, it's temporarily closed, so a friend and I did outdoor dining at this location tonight. The entire Main St. in Northville is shut down for outdoor dining and Browndog also has heat lamps, which was excellent since it was about 60-62 degrees out.
My friend started off with a boozy milkshake, and I had an IBC root beer. For my entree, I had the Korean steak sandwich, which was good although packed a bit of spice. I also upgraded my fries to the Browndog fries, which have truffle salt and chocolate shavings (SO GOOD). My friend is vegetarian and also gluten-free, so she ordered their (corn) loaded nachos as well as the habanero fries.
Waitservice was great as well. The tables definitely aren't 6' away from each other but they are a good 3' away. For dessert, I always end with an ice cream FLIGHT there (yes, I said FLIGHT!) and I tried most of their seasonal flavors: Apple Pie, Campfire S'mores, Trick or Treat, and Tucker Tracks. A flight of 4 will run you about $9, and if you order boozy flavors I believe it's slightly more expensive.
-Apple Pie: had real apple pie crust in there, pretty good.
-Campfire S'mores: not what I was expecting, did have real mini marshmallows but was very cinnamon-y which I didn't like.
-Trick or Treat: delicious + I got a pint to go ($8, but since I live in Clawson I don't make it out to Northville much). Had Reeses Pieces + chunks of Reeses, with green cake batter ice cream.
-Tucker Tracks: had Puppy Chow in it but I wasn't a huge fan.
I highly recommend purchasing the LocalFlavor.com deal for this place, also - it says Farmington location, but since Farmington is closed, they are honoring it ($15, and you get $30 to use ... wait till they run 25% off sales too, then it's only $11.25!). My bill with the LF deal was literally like $1 before tip ($7 after tip) so I'm guesstimating that I only paid about $19-20 on a $37 bill. Decent deal.
Browndog also has ice cream (and ice cream pints) to go if you want to do that too, and I bet you could even get a boozy milkshake to go now with the new downtown Northville rules.
Overall, definitely a good patio experience and I hope to return before the weather gets too cold.
