Trinda was absolutely amazing! Lively, engaging and knowledgeable on both the wine and spirits! Wife had a wine tasting flight and I had several of the Whiskey and bourbon selections. Excellent experience!

Google
I love this place. I found it one day going to a mariners game. So glad I stopped in. They have a great wine list. I always stop by when I'm in Seattle.

Rivaldo Manzano

Google
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience tasting wines, whiskey and chocolate here. I tried the whiskey flight and my girlfriend tried the wine flight which were both paired to different chocolates. A great option for quality time with a partner. The service was also wonderful!

BROWNE FAMILY VINEYARDS PIONEER SQUARE TASTING ROOM VIBES - Wine tasting in Pioneer Square🍷 Don’t mind if I do! Located in the historic Seller Building designed in 1906, the tasting room had a cool aesthetic that fit the cloudy Seattle morning vibes. They had a number of wine flight options and we went through the Patio Pleasers flight which included: rosé of Grenache, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Pinot Gris, & we got to try the Chardonnay & some bubbles as well. I was amazed about the pale color of the Sauvy B & Pinot Gris! But was gratefully reminded that color does NOT equal flavor. Those were my favorites due to the delicate aromatics & crisp flavors. Patio Pleasers for sure! The rosé was delicious as well. Took some Pinot Gris home to pair with some seafood later. Would go perfect with roasted fish with a lemon & capers 🤤

Google
This is, by far, the best wine tasting room in downtown Seattle – head there now for a classy, delicious, and unbelievably good time! We visited only a few times before we had to become wine club members of Browne Family Vineyards, and we couldn’t ask for a better experience (both in the tasting room and at home). These wines are a perfect display of Washington’s best wine; we strongly recommend a stop (or two+) at this tasting room if you love WA wine!

Nestled in the heart of Seattle, Browne Family Vineyard offers a wine tasting experience that transcends expectations. The tasting room, with its warm lighting and comfortable seating, provided the perfect setting to savor the wines and fully enjoy the experience. The customer service was nothing short of exceptional. The knowledgeable staff guided us through the tasting menu and recommended a perfect charcuterie to complement the wines. Every detail was handled with care and expertise, and their passion for wine was palpable. And the wines themselves? Superb would be an understatement. Each pour was a testament to the craftsmanship and dedication of the winemakers. From crisp whites to robust reds, every wine showcased distinctive flavors and impeccable balance. I had the Grand Slam Flight which introduced me to some of my new favorites wines, the bold and velvety Syrah, and the refreshing and absolutely crushable Viognier. What truly set Browne apart was their commitment to creating an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a seasoned wine enthusiast or a newcomer, Browne Family Vineyards is something extraordinary. As we left, lingering over the last sips of the rose, we knew we had discovered a gem—a place where passion for wine meets unparalleled hospitality. The manager, Elizabeth, was especially kind and welcoming to us and we saw how willing she was to go above and beyond for every guest. We are looking forward to coming back soon!

Google
Had a wine tasting here which was fantastic. No pretentiousness, all quality and fun. If you're looking to learn more about wines or are really into exploring wines either way this place is worth it. We had a tasting run by myfanwy which was excellent. She really knows her wine and answered all of our questions. When she realised we had a bunch of people with opposing tastes she uncorked something for everyone and nailed it as far as presentation and selection goes. I really loved at the end there was no hard upsell just a discrete here's the price list if you need anything else.

Google
Complicated. We had an amazing wine flight we split that was delicious but we didn’t love the whiskey. We did have an incredible cheese plate! But the person who helped us, straight blonde hair, was inattentive and rude. We couldn’t even get napkins. We spent a couple hundred dollars and yet she was aggressively rude. She spent all her time with another table and wasn’t super helpful.

Yelp
Love their wines - my fav is the red blends! Charcuterie & Washington only tasting was only outdone by our amazing service! When you love wine like me it's always a plus to have an enthusiastic server!

Yelp
Have been here a few times and every time has been great! A cozy wine bar with amazing service and delicious wine. I did appreciate the girls I chatted with being so knowledgeable about all the wines as well. We got a flight of reds and a charcuterie board to share. Yum!

Yelp
I attended the rose event in June and it was not at their normal downtown location. The rose sparkling was delicious but I think the event was ok. There were not much activity nor togetherness. There were few choices of apps, and two games to play. No gift back to take back. A photo booth. I do not think I would sign up for their event agai .

Yelp
Love this tasting room! The wine is so good and the servers are amazing! It's super close to lumen field and t-mobile park so it's perfect for before or after a game (if I lived closer I would visit on a day without a game) . You don't need to know anything about wine to taste here, they are so helpful and informative without being pretentious as I've experienced in other tasting rooms. Maggie was our server and she is so kind and very attentive, really made the experience perfect! 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
Amazing wine and amazing ladies with lots of energy and good vibes. Really friendly and relaxed atmosphere

Yelp
Very nice tasting room offering some very good wines. Nice staff that is enthusiastic for Browne Wines. Loved the 2017 Bittner Cabernet Sauvignon, 2017 Continent Cab Sav and the 2018 Estate Vineyard Merlot. Joined the wine club and already been back to enjoy the buy one tasting get the second free perk. Wine club also gets you 30% off list price. Reservations recommended not required.

Yelp
Amazing wine stop in Seattle. We ordered the Bitner (reds) and the Dottie (whites) flights and were pleased with the taste, variety, and quality. Even the tasting pours were larger than I'm used to at 3 oz each! I wish we could have shipped some back home, but they don't ship to our state at this time. Even so, I would totally visit again when I return to the city. We had a wonderful time and great service!

Yelp
Horrible, please don't buy this wine. Found this in my glas of wine. Don't hurt yourself. Also it tasted so so, there is definitely better choices around.

Yelp
Great way to end my Seattle journey. I've enjoyed Browne wines in the past but first time venturer to this tasting room. When we entered the tasting room we were greeted by a gentleman who's name I don't recall but he was very welcoming and gave a quick history of the tasting room and it's existence. I had the all red flight, which I enjoyed - Great variety of reds. I also tried the do epic shit, mostly due to the name but definitely an enjoyable red. I didn't purchase any bottles as I had no room in my suitcase but solid brand that offers solid red wines. If you're in the area definitely give the tasting room a try.

Yelp
Even with a surprise power outage this place surprised me! Elizabeth called to notify me as I had a reservation and asked me to stop by to meet with someone on site who gave me a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. I won't forget this place and will certainly be back for a tasting when I am back

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this wine tasting room/shop. The previous night, we had a glass of their Browne Tribute Red Blend at The Nest. Our waiter mentioned we could visit their tasting room near by, so we decided to visit the next day. Our server was Myva, the Sommelier/Tasting Room Manager. She was super welcoming and knowledgeable. We chose their Sparkling Flight and their Bitner Flight (red wine). It was a great tasting! For us, the standouts were the Gigi Brut Rose ($40/Tasting Room Exclusive) and the Cabernet Franc ($35), though we really liked everything we tasted. For the quality, their wines are are a great value! Great wines and a great wine tasting room!

Yelp
Stopped in for a glass of wine before a Mariners game. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We opted for a flight tasting which consisted of a bubbly, a viognier, and malbec and a cab sauv. We ordered a bowl of truffle popcorn to accompany our tasting as well. Pours were generous, 3 oz each, and halfway through our tastings we ordered a charcuterie board. The board was loaded with several cheeses, a small bowl of olives and a variety of salamis. Very filling. The tasting room itself if modern and very clean. There is a a bar with stools to sit at an various tables strewn throughout their store. Very comfortable. The only downside is that because we were heading into the Mariners game we weren't able to take a bottle or two home with us! Definitely need to come back to this one!

Yelp
OVERALL: 8.875/10 (Yelp Converted Score: 5/5). This Virtual Yelp Elite Event took place on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. This event was hosted on Zoom and in conjunction with River Valley Cheese, down in Renton, WA. The event was moderated by Jennifer Jones, who at the time was the Yelp CM Ambassador for Bellingham and the Eastside. Myva was our representative from the Browne Family Vineyards side, introducing the limited release Cabernet and Chardonnay in their cans. Note: Two cans == 1 bottle! Myva introduced us to the winery's history - namely that the founder (Andrew Browne, in case you were wondering) moved to Bordeaux pre-WW2) was recruited into the OSS (which later became the CIA) and eventually a Nazi hunter. The following is a translated note that I tried to transcribe, but turned out to look more like drunken ramblings. I did my best -- I have no regrets. Fun fact: Moose cheese is the most expensive! I learned a new acronym: "ABC" in the wine world means "Anything BUT Chardonnay". Chardonnay has a lot of room for the winemaker to show their own personality (whereas Riesling and Sauv. Blanc have their own attitudes). The wine spends 12 months in oak (tertiary aromas), with hints of fruits (green apple). We were taught to "trust our instincts, smells, and see what the wine reminds me of". Apple, peach, tropical, citrus -- lots of things in one! Grapes in a cab. sauv almost look like blueberries/blackberries. Taste like leather/pepper (acidic/dry?). I lastly learned that you can use plastic wrap to prevent oxygen from getting into wine cans, to keep them fresh! 1) ORIGINALITY: 9/10. I was super impressed with this event; while it was hosted on Zoom, we had to pick up the (free) event kit from River Valley Cheese down in Renton, WA, which included two cans of Browne wine, a cheese platter, and a small box of crackers (should be pictures attached to this review). 2) NETWORKING: 8/10. As I mentioned in my other review, the major complaint was that this event was more a "webinar" and less of a networking event. I don't remember anyone else from the event besides Kristi (from the River Valley Cheese side) and Myva (from the Browne Family Vineyards side) -- sorry in advance if you read this review and remember me from it! 3) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 9/10. Overall I can't really say this was a "bad" time; I had fun, I took notes, and I had wine and cheese in good company. There was a point in time where Myva disconnected from the Zoom call due to a faulty internet connection, but we all still had fun in the meeting room until she was able to get back to a stable connection. 4) FUN FACTOR: 9.5/10. Fun fact: Browne also owns the "House Wine" brand you might see in the cans in grocery stores. They don't make this a very widespread fact so you should definitely at least try it, if you haven't already!

Yelp
We got to try out their limited release Chardonnay and Cabernet in cans. I was skeptical but they were delicious and no hint of the "tin can" taste. The Chardonnay was light and not overpowered with oak which was a win for me. We are excited to get back to their newly redesigned tasting room in Seattle (we enjoyed their old tasting room pre-covid). You can call ahead and they'll bring your order out curbside as well!

Yelp
In a group, we each got a different wine flight to cover all six. I recommend following the pairing suggestions given for the chocolates and wine- super top-notch. The staff was friendly and helpful while explaining their selection of wines and choosing what flight to pick. As for the place itself, it looked aesthetically pleasing and mellow :)

Yelp
Cozy space with big windows. Sofia and Elizabeth were lovely and knowledgeable. Their recommendations were spot on to what I wanted. The 2021 Seattle red was incredible, loved the wine barrel whiskey the best.

Yelp
Great wine! Will definitely be back coming back. Little expensive and small space but you are in downtown Seattle. Overall great experience

Yelp
Beautiful tasting room in the heart of Pioneer Square. Knowledgeable wine staff and really deep, rich hearty wines bursting with flavor. Great story of the history of the vineyards too, which I'm always a sucker for. Limited small bites menu. Dog friendly, my pup enjoyed bites of charcuterie and cheese. Not big fans of bringing outside food (you just never know anymore). So come before or after you've had a meal. Great stop before a game or show IMO! My friend is now officially a member of her first tasting room too!

Yelp
Lovely evening at Browne Family Vineyards tasting room in Seattle. A rainbow on some marketing material caught my attention walking by. I love supporting businesses that reinforce equality and inclusivity in their community. Kind and thoughtful staff. I loved the Malbec and will be back next time I'm visiting for an evening of tastings (and boardgames!)

Yelp
Chris is the best part about Brownes downtown location. The wine he serves us and all the knowledge with it is the best experience we've ever had at a tasting room. The wine is amazing and so are the small bite plates. We come back for both the service and the wine!
google avatar

Yelp
We picked up some Brown Family Vineyards canned Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay for a Zoom tasting event and loved it. They were both so smooth and had such great flavor. Who knew canned wine could taste so good!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Very cute tasting room! I love their red wine and enjoy coming in for flights here. Would be great if they had more snacks here or fun events!

Liana R.

Yelp
Dear Browne, I was lucky to meet Myva during an online cheese and wine tasting, and the history and legacy behind the brand is incredibly fascinating. Never before could I get such great tips on "how to" taste wine without them feeling completely hi-brow and snobbish, Myva knows her shit, and as one of not so many female sommeliers, is absolutely approachable and down to earth while being incredibly generous with information on her wines and the field of wine-making. I'm happy we can do contactless pickup for cans/bottles/etc, and if you think you'd never drink wine from a can, think again...ZERO taste from the cans gets into your mouthhole and if you worry about that after that statement, pour it into a glass and it's the exact same thing you'd get in a bottle. Boom. Perception. xxoxoxox, I'll be picking up a few cans soon, Liana
google avatar

Yelp
Hidden gem! Amazing wines, great location and wonderful customer service. I hosted a networking event at Browne and failed to inform them that I needed adequate seating. It was pretty packed but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate and made sure our glasses were quickly replenished. Great flavors and I especially loved their lager. I only wish they had more options to nibble on while tasting. Great place and looking forward to joining wine club.

Yelp
I loved the atmosphere of this place and it was a super affordable happy hour tasting at $10. I think we got five pours and then another of our favorite. Super cute and great staff. I had been trying to find a place in downtown Seattle for wine tastings that wasn't super expensive. They also had a deal where if you bought a bottle, then the tasting would be free. I liked the reds over the whites, but they were all pretty decent. Will definitely be returning.
google avatar

Jen C.

Yelp
Their wine flights are DEADLY. Such a thick pour. Good price as well, considering I paid $20 for over two glasses of wine. I would recommend. Make reservations or expect to wait

Yelp
I first heard about Browne through a collaboration cab they did with total wine for about $30. A little skeptical at first about Washington wines, but I decided to give it a try and was totally won over after the first sip. Exceedingly smooth, jammy and full bodied ripening into beautiful dark fruits and vanilla beans, rivaling some top cabs of Napa in my humble opinion. The winery / bar was no disappointment either. Extremely modern and chic, the bar almost seemed like a gourmet bakery with marble counters and luxury furniture. Quite literally THE most comfortable and sophisticated wine bar I've ever been to. The bartender was great as well and introduced us to the Washington wine scene (being Californians),which center around bordeaux, cab, malbec as Washington sits on the same latitude as La France. Fantastic bar and even better wine. Most definitely 5 stars in every regard

Yelp
Great wine, fun location and honest employees! We had just made a big purchase, a beautiful eternity band for our wedding in May and felt like we needed to have a toast so we decided to stop in at the Browne Family tasting room to celebrate. BTW, we really enjoyed the sparkling flight and a glass of the red blend while trying on my new ring. We bought a couple bottles and headed home. When we were almost back to Olympia I decided to try my new ring on again only to discover that the jewelry box was no longer in the bag. I called BFV tasting room and Myva answered, I desperately asked if she could check in the sofa and under the table for the jewelry box. She agreed to but unfortunately it was not there, my heart broke. I knew it was a long shot but I had to ask if she could please go outside to check the gutter just in case it had somehow fallen out of the bag and onto street. She said of course but if I could call back in a couple minutes, that was the longest 2 minutes of my life. I called back and Myva answered, "I found it, the box is trashed but the ring is perfect"! Myva, we will forever be grateful to you for your extra efforts and honesty, thank you

Yelp
Stumbled in here during lunch cause I wanted to check the space out and find out how much the tasting was. I had seen it on a morning walk and was glad I popped in with a friend it's right next door to Intermezzo Carmine in Pioneer Square. Can't wait to return for the $10 tasting believe it's two whites and three reds. Loved the space as soon as I stepped in I wanted to stay so inviting and the two gentlemen were so friendly. I'm thinking one of them was the owner, Andrew. Love the art and the story of how the business was is a tribute to his grandfather. Will update when I've had a chance to do the tasting!
google avatar

Yelp
Went to Walla Walla last weekend and got smoked out! Luckily I got to attend a virtual tasting event for two of Browne's canned wines. We tried the Chardonnay and Cab Sav. I have to say the wines were just ok. The Chard was my preferred of the two yet, I was not over excited about either one. This is the first time I have had wine out of a can, and I have to say that I am kind of a wine connoisseur. So although these were not my favorite wines, I will make the effort to visit their tasting room and try some of their other wines that are not canned. Myva was a fabulous hostess, explaining how to taste wines and was not overbearing on practices of tasting wines. She gave a great lesson on wine tasting and exuded knowledge. Being a sommelier is a HUGE fete, Browne is lucky to have her and her extensive experience with wine. I look forward to trying some Browne wines in the future.

Yelp
Visiting Seattle and stopped by Browne Family Vineyards tasting room in Pioneer Square. Great processes in place to deal with COVID restrictions. I witnessed first hand employees constantly sanitizing hands. To maintain a safe environment, tastings are served in a flight using disposal plastic cups with single use menus, minimizing the number of interactions. I recommend stopping by for a safe and fun post-COVID experience.

S M.

Yelp
Great selection of wine and cozy space! They do rush you at the end so don't come less than an hour before closing or you will get hustled out pretty quickly. Food selection is OK but definitely plan to eat somewhere else if you want substance They offer a Bubbly wine flights which is always a win!
google avatar

Yelp
Very cool winery. We stopped in Seattle for a meeting and we were right across the street from this winery so of course, had to try it out. The lady working when we showed up was very nice, I asked the history of the place and what all of the war decor and old books on the wall stood for. She gave us a lot of cool info about the place!! Another co worker came in and the lady became a little less attentive to us... we ended up waiting a lot longer between glasses for a refill because she was talking to the coworker who came in. Not a huge deal but we were on a time crunch so it took us longer than expected. The wine was great and the place was very cool. We'd stop in again if we are in the area
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
They were closing in 5min and refused to serve us, not sure if it was because my husband is black or simply too lazy to pour a glass of wine because they closed in 5 min. Mind your there were people everywhere which means no one was leaving in 5min. They should call this place "the lazy bartender" or "the racist bartender" lol
google avatar

Vince S.

Yelp
Another spot that's been on my list for the better part of a year, Browne Family Vineyards did not disappoint! The space is well decorated (very mod), the staff is friendly, the prices are surprisingly affordable, and best of all- the wines were very good! We did the tasting before deciding on the Cabernet Franc, which I'd recommend to any fan of reds as it's a very well-rounded wine. They also had a nice swag selection to browse. Next time you're in Pioneer Square, stop in for a glass - you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Stopped by on our way back to Portland. Easy to get to location from Pike Place Market. Wine tasting was great and staff were friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Fabulous Wine and Incredible Service! Browne Family in Seattle was amazing and we had a fantastic time sipping wine and munching on some Truffle popcorn! We started our visit unsure of what we wanted to do (Glass or tasting). While we were deciding, the delightful staff brought us a taste of bubbly and Truffle popcorn. This made us feel so special and well taken care of from the get go. We decided on a few glasses of wine and were again happily surprised that we had arrived during their happy hour! The whole outing was so pleasant and comfortable. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! You are guaranteed to love it.

Yelp
YAY! Stopped by after a day of walking around the city. Glad we did. Both of the employees were so nice and friendly. We sat there for about an hour and chatted up with both of them while sippin on our wine. On this visit we had their Red Blend ($30) it was delicious. Would definitely stop by again next time we are in Seattle and would definitely bring a suitcase I can check in and buy more!

Yelp
Stopped into this tasting room while on a recent trip to Seattle. The room is small but staff is very attentive and knowledgeable making for a fun experience. I look forward to returning on my next visit to the Emerald City.

Yelp
Washington is one of the best places for good wine in the U.S. Woodinville allows those in the Seattle area to taste much of the Northwest Wine Regions creations without having to go to wine country itself, which is approximately four hours away. However, even going to Woodinville can be a production. Wine in downtown Seattle works perfectly for those that live downtown or even more so, for those that want to stop somewhere after work for a drink. Wonderful wine bars are here in the city like Purple for example, but I love it when a winery has it's own tasting room. Meet Browne Family Vineyards! Small, intimate, classy, wonderful selection of wines (food too!). I stopped in last night to get my palate excited and indeed it was! I started out with the Columbia Cabernet (2016) which was really light and simple, great price! After that, it was recommended that I try the Klipsun Vineyard Merlot. DELICIOUS! One of the best Washington Merlots out there! I also tried two blends, a Mablec and a Cabernet Franc. All were tasty :) Nick was amazing. Polite and friendly as expected, but incredibly sharp and informative on the products and the wine world. Clearly an employee who takes his job seriously. A true professional! Between the great location, selection of products, friendly and knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices, I'd highly recommend to stop in and check out this tasting room whenever you're in the Pioneer Square area. I'll be back for sure!

Michael F.

Yelp
Love this place... The wines are fantastic!! The Browne Family is putting out excellent reds ( my favorites).
google avatar

Greg S.

Yelp
I am new to the state of Washington and I am a California wine snob and this the first Cabernet that has blown my mind! Then when me and my wife came in, the Tasting Room Manager, Rocky, hooked us up with the full range of what Browne has to offer and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT! If you are looking for an amazing Cab that will win over your pickiest friends, give Browne a go... it is worth it!

Yelp
What an absolute treat!!!! Loved the wine flights very unique!!! And the service was wonderful! Highly recommended!

Alex W.

Yelp
I came for the first time and we all did the chocolate and wine tasting pairing! It was so amazing!! We got the chocolate tasting which included- One sparkling, one white, and two reds. The chocolate pairings were so on point! The white blend with the white chocolate cayenne orange pairing was amazing, and I don't even like white chocolate! The sommelier and server were even better than the wine! The service was amazing, she treated us like family and checked in with us frequently but not annoyingly! Pricing for the tastings were really good and their bottles are reasonably priced! We will definitely be back again!

Yelp
My wife and I found this cute little wine shop in downtown Seattle. Although we went during the COVID-19 pandemic, I felt really safe here. All of the staff was practicing social distancing, wearing mask and constant hand washing. Their server was a nice gentleman which I believe his name was Casman, and he was very knowledgeable. He was fun to talk to and gave us good recommendations for things to do in Seattle. I recommend getting their Bitner wine flight. They have won me over as a customer!
google avatar

Regina A.

Yelp
Nick and Ken are awesome! We work and live close by and they are so hospitable and make everyone feel so welcome. We didn't hesitate joining the wine club.
google avatar

Yelp
Never been a fan of the pink wines, but Devon was a fabulous host and was able to open my eyes to the wonderful rose. The Cab Franc was fabulous and the service was outstanding. Now they just need to serve a little food!
google avatar

Taylor H.

Yelp
We love Browne! It's perfect for a drink before dinner in Pioneer Square or a Seahawks/Sounders game. The staff are amazing and this is easily the best tasting room in Seattle. Try the Bitner Cabernet!
