Brown's Revolution Hall

We had a birthday party for my now forty year old son at Browns Revolution Hall in Troy, NY on Sunday November 9TH this year. The staff were so incredibly attentive. The food was delicious, hot and plentiful. The three ladies that were on duty, I cant say enough good about the service, polite, courtious, professional manner in which they conducted themselves was outstanding. The bartender was equal to the attendants seeing to our party. It was a wonderful party and we went from our customary 20% tip to a 30% tip, the staff earned every thing they recieved. Our guest were extreley happy and were thrilled with the food, service and the atmosphere. I would highly recommend the venue and the staff for your next party needs. Tom and Ani Mooney.

I don't even know where to begin to explain how much we absolutely adored Nora & the Brown's team. Revolution Hall was the first and only venue we toured for our wedding. From the minute we walked in, we were greeted with such warmth, professionalism, and friendliness that we immediately knew it was the space for our wedding. Which, the space alone, is absolutely stunning. The building has so much character and every amenity you could need. The communication and planning process with Nora from start to finish was seamless. She was always readily available to answer all of our questions and help out whenever she was able. The day of the wedding went absolutely perfectly because of Nora and her team. Not to mention the food was top notch. Our guests are still talking about their meals and the experience at Brown's. People always say to expect things to go wrong on your wedding day...but we couldn't believe we didn't have a SINGLE thing go wrong on our day. The Brown's team executed our wedding perfectly, down to every single detail. There is not a single thing we would change about our wedding and how the day went. The Brown's team made our dream wedding come true and we cannot thank them enough for everything they did. We wish we could relive this day & experience over and over again. We would highly recommend this venue and team to any couple looking for a unique wedding location with the friendliest, most organized, & dedicated team to help you through the process from the day you sign your contract to the end of your wedding night.

Invited to Brown's revolution hall in Troy, New York for a wedding. Such a lovely venue. Walk into the bar area where appetizers and drinks are flowing. Very lively long area. Then the doors open up to the dining and ceremony venue with very high vaulted ceilings. Acoustics were great, tremendous dance floor and the food was outstanding!

As a wedding vendor, having worked at so many spaces, none comes close to the hospitality, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere you get at Revolution Hall! It's an absolute fave and if you're venue hunting, this is one you should absolutely check out!

Our wedding at Revolution Hall was everything we hoped for and more. Nora, Erika, and the entire team went above and beyond to make the day absolutely perfect. From the start, they were easy to talk to and made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free. The Rev Hall crew did an amazing job coordinating with all of our vendors, which made everything feel effortless on our end. The ambiance was the perfect mix of rustic, modern, and relaxed, while still feeling special and intimate. The food and drinks were fantastic, and we couldn’t recommend Brown’s Revolution Hall more. We will always be grateful we chose Rev Hall for our big day!

From start to finish of the wedding planning process, we have been blown away by how professional, kind, and organized Carrie and her team at Brown’s has been. Our wedding was originally planned for July 2020. When we made the decision to postpone, Carrie was understanding and flexible with us. She allowed us to postpone our wedding to July 2021 without any complications. Throughout the planning process, Carrie was always available to speak with me, answer questions, and meet with us to go over details. Carrie made us feel like our wedding was a top priority for the team at Brown’s. On our wedding day, we were blown away by the staff at Brown’s. Carrie and her team were incredibly attentive, accommodating, and detail-oriented. We feel that the staff truly goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure the guests at the reception feel cared for. They were always checking in on me and my family members to make sure we were eating and had a drink of our choice. The bartenders and servers were efficient and friendly towards our guests. Our priest’s car battery died at the end of our wedding night, and Carrie came to the rescue to jump start his car! My brother-in-law had his wedding here. Really cool venue; clearly an old factory building of some kind; lots of exposed brickwork and subfloor which is always nice. I was most pleased by the first floor walk-in safe; huge thing - basically a small room for keeping records and payroll back in the 1800's and early 1900's. During the rehearsal dinner i had my eye on the safe wondering what could be locked in there and if anyone living had a remote idea what the combination could be. During the wedding I saw a busgirl open the safe with zero effort, it hadn't been locked at all - there was indeed a room back there but it was filled with barback supplies and lightbulbs. Cool venue, nice staff.

Our son's wedding was at Brown's Revolution Hall - the ceremony as well as the reception. We had the Nest upstairs for the girls to get ready in and it is a full on apartment and so nice and convenient and right upstairs from the hall. We had the rehearsal dinner at their Malt Room which was so nice and the food was great. A very extra special shout out to Ryan, our amazing bartender for the rehearsal dinner as well as the wedding. He was so attentive and friendly and we received many compliments on him. Thank you Nora and Erika for all the planning and for keeping things running smoothly. The entire staff did a wonderful job and were very helpful and pleasant - from start to finish.

A wonderful event space in Troy, NY for any occasion. Plenty of parking. Excellent staff.

Attended a wedding here as a bridesmaid and just had to write a review about the venue specifically because the "getting ready" space was so perfect! The natural light and big windows with river views were perfect for getting our makeup done. They also had chairs with big mirrors for hair. There was so much space to spread out and I loved that we got to spend the entire day in such a great space. My friend already got her sneak peak for photos and the light is just incredible and backdrop of the space was great for those shots. The space was also very private so we were able to use it as a kid hang space during cocktails for our children (a ring barer and the flower girl). The wedding itself was also great with delicious food and accommodating staff. Our friends got to brew their own beer to serve at the wedding as part of the package, such a fun touch!

Oops! I forgot to do this review! A group of my fellow high school alumni and I planned our 10 Year Reunion here in April. We had a list of about 80 people and this seemed like the perfect venue. The Hall is gorgeous and doesn't even need too much decoration to make it a great event. The staff and planners were all an absolute pleasure to work with, the service during the event was very friendly, and the food and drinks were great and flowing. Our event had open bar, and that is an awesome plus to have here - unlimited Brown's drafts! Woo-hoo! There is a great stage to have your DJ or band play, and we also had room for a photo booth. There is a cocktail hour area, and a two floor main dining room next to it. The place is a great size. I have frequented Brown's taproom for dinner and such and didn't even know this place was next door. After having an event here, I would definitely consider it for more events, such as bridal/baby showers, big birthday parties, small weddings, etc!

I had my wedding here in the summer of 2015. It was INCREDIBLE. The venue barely needs decoration as it has its own character and charm, so if you like the look of the place, it's a great option. We didn't even need flowers, although we put some baby's breath in jars on the tables (very inexpensive). A big draw is their beer selection. Obviously, they serve their own. Brown's Cherry Razz is one of my all-time favorites and if we're going to pay for an open bar, I wanted good craft beer, not the typical Miller/Heineken/Corona options. The food was SO GOOD. It wasn't just good at the tasting (which was a great experience), it was also good the day of. The service was also friendly and efficient. I think the one issue was with serving dessert - some stuff didn't get put out until after it ran out and people were leaving, but I didn't notice this myself as I was busy. The most incredible part of this is CARRIE. She is their events rep, and whatever they pay her, it isn't enough. She is worth her weight in gold. Carrie was so easy to work with and consistently went above and beyond for us. She is amazing and I cannot say enough good about her. We were not big wedding planners and she helped us quite a bit. I wanted a "reasonable" wedding and this place really fits that definition. All weddings are insanely expensive -- you think you can do it on the low side, but it all adds up very quickly -- but we would have paid a lot more for a lot less at other venues we researched. I can't recommend Revolution Hall highly enough. If you like their food, like their beer, and like their look, it's truly a no-brainer. I'd choose that venue again in a heartbeat.

Really cool vibe and space; hanging globe lights in a somewhat dim atmosphere give off an intimate feeling. I just attended a work party here and the banisters on the second floor all had pretty green garland and the tables on the main floor had wood and flower and greenery centerpieces conducive to holiday time. Appearance and cleanliness were definitely an A+. The staff were all very pleasant and for the most part happy and helpful. Our party had attendants with the food that was put out and people bussing tables. All very nice and very on top of their jobs, we never ran out of food and dirty plates and cups were continuously being picked up efficiently, not to go unnoticed and appreciated. The food that was out consisted of all snack items like soft pretzel bites (that were my absolute FAV!), buffalo chicken dip, chips, sushi, fresh fruit, meatballs, potato skins (that I didn't try but looked amazing) and a few others. Everything I tried was very tasty and a good temperature, nothing worse than cold food that was meant to be hot! I gave 3 stars here because of the bar service. It looked as if there were 3 bartenders on and a bar back. Every time I waited for a drink I was skipped by others who had just got in line (not their fault, the bartender just happen to ask them first), it seemed like all of them were frustrated and angry, and I heard this complaint from a number of others. I tipped each time I went up for a drink so it wasn't as if I was a bad customer so it perplexed me why ordering a drink was so painstakingly difficult. Would definitely recommend this venue for a party or wedding. Small and intimate with friendly staff (for the most part).

I've gone to multiple events here as well as had the opportunity to help out with some events that are hosted here. Brown's Rev Hall is a little gem of an event space. The staff have always been great when I've been there and the space is adorable. There is a front bar area as you walk in where everyone tends to congregate before the event, and then a giant open space with a stage that's great for all types of events. I've had event dinners here, watched a private screening of a film, and helped DJ a few events for some friends as well. The staff is also great about food allergies. They're attentive and informative about what people can eat and/or they have provided special plates for people as well. Every event I've been to here is great and the staff are all very professional.

Beautiful wedding venue with delicious apps, satisfying meals, and fantastic staff. This large space is rustic and perfect for events. The vendors had plenty of room and the coordinator was very accommodating.

Attended a Wedding and reception there and was very pleased with the Staff and offerings. Wedding and reception was a little unorthodox (a good thing) and all went smooth. Everyone from the wait staff to the bartender were pleasant and professional throughout

We booked Revolution Hall for our wedding in October. The event coordinator at Revolution Hall, Carrie, was a huge help to us and was there to answer all of our questions and assist us when needed. Our wedding was a lot of fun because of the hard work of the staff of Revolution Hall. And, the food was excellent! A truly great event venue!

We went to a wedding at revolution hall and the staff was absolutely AMAZING! The setting and atmosphere were just wonderful. It was intimate and delightful. My table included myself and another guest that have extreme food allergies and the staff was beyond attentive. The two women running the event deserve extra praise, they made the evening flawless.!

My husband and I attended a wedding at Revolution Hall three years ago and knew from that moment that we would get married here someday. Fast forward a few years and we were back at Rev Hall, meeting Carrie for the first time, drinking a beer and deciding to book the space! The place sells itself with the rustic interior to the hanging lights and cozy outside beer garden and the staff makes it even better. We worked directly with Carrie & Louisa who were both rock stars. They helped us every step of the way and we were so very thankful for their help and guidance throughout our planning process. They made everything so seamless and easy and our wedding was truly spectacular. It was everything we could have ever dreamed of and more from the food to the drinks, dancing, ambiance, etc. Revolution Hall has so much character and is a true gem. I would suggest this place to anyone looking for a more rustic environment with a truly wonderful staff! We also had our rehearsal dinner at the Malt Room at Brown's and it was fabulous. It is the perfect space if you want your guests to be able to mingle around and not be stuck at a table the entire night. We had a lot of guests from out of town so it was the perfect environment for our group. Our friends and family are still talking about the rehearsal dinner and wedding and how wonderful it was!
