For food that is NOT made from scratch it’s ok, but for food made from scratch as they alleged it’s terrible. I would not have ordered a thing had I just been told that their food is not made from scratch. I asked the waitress if the food was made from scratch to order she said yes, but that she would confirm with the manager. She returned stating the manager said everything was made from scratch. We ordered the food arrived and nothing was made from scratch. The bacon was literally cold like it sits in a cooler or something before they service it. The pancakes are from a box of which she admitted but came back and said the manager said they used to use a premade pancake mix but now they make it from scratch. That cannot be true the food was low quality and not fresh. The syrup was supposed to be REAL maple syrup, but after I tasted it I realized it was corn syrup maple flavored and when I asked the waitress she admitted it was fake maple flavored. The corn beef hash was supposed to be made in house, but it tasted canned and had the sour canned taste. We didn’t finish the food because it simply was not worth wasting the calories.

We have had breakfast here before and both times has been really good! Today we decided to do take out and as I started eating the eggs there was a big ol black hair 😵‍💫 and they couldn’t give me a refund they said I had to go all the way back with the food and the hair lol that’s gross… so I would just say maybe don’t do take out here 😭

Okay, I've never even done a review somewhere unless the service was horrible, but let me tell you something, THIS IS THE BEST BRUNCH SPOT IN DALLAS! The Strawberry Cheesecake pancakes are the best thing in the whole world. Service is outstanding! Best spot I've been to in a minute. You have to check it out.

Google
Open and airy industrial style space. Had brunch on a Sunday, very busy! The food was pretty good, the coffee and service were okay. I think it was a bit overpriced for the quality of food we had. We ordered: Cappuccino Latte iced Hot chocolate Strawberry shortcake pancakes w turkey bacon & hashbrowns yogurt & Granola w turkey bacon & hashbrowns Chicken & Waffles w hashbrowns Vegetarian Benedict w fruit

*Update I went a second time today. I tried the California Benedict and the strawberry shortcake pancakes, and both we're delicious. However, the service was really slow and my sister (who ordered an egg white omelet) found a hair in it. It was addressed right away, but it took a while for the new one to come out. The manager did take care of it, but the incident did bring my review down a notich. Still a pretty decent place to go. *First visit I am always looking to try a new place, alone or with family and friends. I looked for brunch places near me to find a place for my sister and I to enjoy after church. We sat down and the people next to us gushed about the food. They shared that they come every week. The skillets were so good and loaded with veggies, hash browns, and chicken. The overeasy egg was perfect. The biscuit was light and fluffy. Pancakes with a caramelized pineapple ring in the center!!! Yes please!! Yummy!! My sister and I only looked at the breakfast menu. When we asked to make a to-go order, we received the breakfast AND lunch menus and saw even more options. We tried the crab cakes. They were a bit mushy but had plenty of crab and great flavor. The server was friendly and knowledgeable, and the service was speedy. We will definitely be going back again to try lunch. *There isn't a place to wait, so it gets crowded by the door.

Google
Overall, I really liked this place! It's in a great location in the Cityline area of Richardson, easy to get to, and clean with a very friendly staff. Service was fantastic and quick! I also like that there's a dog friendly patio so I will surely be back just for that. (I take my dog anywhere I can). I had a special which was crepes with eggs and choice of protein. The crepes were phenomenal! I opted for the banana Nutella version and wow - probably some of the best crepes I've had! The bacon was crisp and good sized pieces, eggs and coffee were great. The only thing I would potentially mark as a negative is that I felt the place was a little pricey. At $19 for the "special", and after adding coffee and a tip, I was pushing close to $30 just for me. That's a little high for breakfast for me. On the positive side, they do NOT undercut you on portions! It was a ton of food for the price and I could have easily split it with someone. I will probably just opt to do this on future visits. I will absolutely be back and very much looking forward to trying some of their lunch options. Highly recommend it!

Google
It's tough leaving a bad review, but this is a place I'll never go back to. Burnt toast - how do you even serve black toast to a customer? Gross!! Stale hashbrowns - these tasted terrible like they'd been sitting out all night! Gross The eggs were cooked well and the Hash was ..... just ok, nothing special ... which was a huge disappointment because the menu said they were home made ..... doubt that. I have pictures of the burnt toast .... which really does make me mad .... the cook had to know .... the waited had to see it ..... which means 2 people thought that was ok and on top of that .... $20 for breakfast .... NOPE

Went here for a little Monday morning breakfast. Absolutely wonderful experience. Chill vibes, staff was attentive to clients needs. Food was great and coffee too. I definitely will be coming back, I love the quiet atmosphere and being able to just enjoy my Monday morning.

Yelp
Pricey but good stuff! Split a California Benny and pineapple upside down pancakes with my girlfriend. The kitchen plated them separately for us. Best of both worlds, 1/2 eggs Benny and a pancake, bingo! Both were made perfectly and delivered promptly. Service was friendly and efficient. We dined on the patio, it was pleasant and clean. Would absolutely return for the other interesting pancake choices. Recommend !

Yelp
TLDR: The kitchen needs to sort itself out. The staff were nice and helpful but the kitchen, for us, made this place a "Not going to return". We (a party of 5) waited over half an hour to get our food and normally I wouldn't mind, we were there during a rush on a Saturday. No worries. BUT 1 person didn't get their meal for another 15 minutes (ate least) after everyone else and another person got half their order and didn't get the rest of it until they had finished what they were given. A little annoying but even then if the food was good - no big deal. EXCEPT the last food to arrive was suppose to be a medium-rare California burger. It came out with no mayo, no pickles, and it was well done. We asked to get it fixed but decided to just forego it since it had taken over an hour to get the burger in the 1st place. Another person, me actually, ordered the Berries and Spinach salad with salmon and the salad was completely different. I mean, it had berries and a couple tomatoes but it didn't have....SPINACH. Or cucumbers, or pecans, or feta. In fact, it was mostly shredded cabbage and had green bell peppers which, upon looking at the salads on the menu are not in ANY salad that I could find. Now I didn't complain about the salad, frankly I wasn't going to wait and nothing in the salad was disagreeable to me, but it wasn't what I ordered. But I paid 14$ (not including the extra charge for salmon) for a salad that I didn't actually get. So for a bill of 88$ and a tip of 20 (again the waitress was great, she wasn't the problem) I got a salad I didn't order, an incorrect burger that took an hour to get wrong, and pancakes that didn't show up until the burger did. And as an aside, not that it's a big deal but it was odd, if you sell pizzas maybe you should have pizza boxes. Coffee was good.

Yelp
Great service. They have many options to eat from. The coffee was great. Cute place for the family or to relax with friends.

Victoria E.

Yelp
Love this local lunch brunch restaurant. Patio seating. Tiki Hubby and I share the pineapple pancakes and an order of bacon. These pancakes are sweet fluffy with a browned pineapple in the middle. We just like them with a little butter no syrup needed. 2 pancakes $10.00 order of bacon 4 slices $4.50. Service is good keeping our beverages full. Can be very noisy depending on customers, there was only about 8 tables with customers but there was a very loud woman.

Kelsey C.

Yelp
Excellent service at Bruncheon for the brunch enthusiasts. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. The food was delicious.

Carrie W.

Yelp
The food was really good and fast. Service was nice and attentive. We were expecting to be super crowded since it was 10am on Saturday but was no wait and was cute inside.

Nia M.

Yelp
The food was divine!!! I ordered the higher steak with three poached eggs, home fries, and toast. The eggs were cooked to perfection and paired amazing with the flavorful medium steak. The service was good and the server made sure my water was filled without me asking. They have patio seating and indoor seating. It was a bit warm inside however when I went it was midday on a humid day. There were a decent amount of people in there and I was able to be sorted right away.

Beth W.

Yelp
This was our first visit to another restaurant within the Cityline development. This is a great option for breakfast or brunch in the area. I went with the Mediterranean omelette with salmon. The portion size was generous and I had half for breakfast the next day It came with a choice of sides and I went with the fruit and a stack of pancakes - both were delicious. My husband went with the Southern Skillet and it was also a hit for him. Our server was attentive and made sure to keep my husband's coffee cup full which was welcome to start the day.

Shenouda N.

Yelp
I had Philly steak omelette and my wife had California omelette! Food was okay nothing especial but service and patio was nice!

Lequitta L.

Yelp
We enjoyed our Mother's Day brunch very much. The business was packed. We didn't have but about a 10-15 minute wait (for a party of five) after being told it would probably be 30. The Restuarant was loud due to being so busy. Just people talking, not music. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Both quite pleasant. The service was spot on. The food excellent. I enjoyed waffles with fresh fruit, my husband a Southwest omelette. He said his was delicious also. Large portions Daughter and grandchildren had migas, Nutella waffles, kids pancake platter. Everything was perfect. Too much food. We all took home left overs. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
I have eaten at Bruncheon a few times. The last time I went they gave themselves a $33.00 tip instead of a $3.30 tip I left them. When I saw my statement, I went to the restaurant and asked for a refund. They apologized profusely and said they would have their manager take care of it. When I checked my statement a couple of weeks later, the refund had still not posted. So I went back to the restaurant and they assured me the manager had gone to the bank the day after I asked for the refund and taken care of everything. I went to my bank today to get them to track down my refund, but it has been longer than 60 days, so I am out my money. I will not be returning to Bruncheon. So check your account closely and don't let your time expires.

Yelp
This is my favorite new breakfast spot. Food is excellent !!!! The secret has gotten out !! And there is pretty much always a wait to get, in but it's worth every bit of it. But wait, please don't read this and go there. You'll just make the line longer for me. bon appétit. The only downside is it can get a little loud in there.

Charli A.

Yelp
Everything was delicious except for the coffee. But I never have high hopes for coffee outside of coffee shops so no stars deducted. I got one of the skinny plate options and upgraded pancake to an upside down pineapple pancake. It was delicious! It has a sliced pineapple in the center and chunks of pineapple in the pancake. Jorge was a great server. Very attentive and made sure I was taken care of. The restaurant itself is pretty big with seating indoor and out. It's in a Whole Foods shopping plaza so also plenty of parking. Overall I recommend this spot for breakfast or brunch.

Ta'Brechi H.

Yelp
Yelp 100 Challenge 2023 #29 I visited on a Saturday between 1pm - 2pm. I ordered 2 upside down pancakes a side of bacon and a side of fries. My husband ordered their California Benedict and he wasn't a huge fan. Overall 4 out of 5 Great service Delicious Pineapple Upside Down Delicious Sides Open Parking I would visit again for brunch

Angela R.

Yelp
Food was amazing! I had to go back the next day! The coffee reminded me of the great European coffee! The service was excellent. One day I sat inside and the next I was outside (with few people in the area). They were responsive in both settings!

Lauren H.

Yelp
Food was decent. I was not aware that the crab Benedict was as a literal crab cake... I thought it would be shredded up crab so that was a little strange. Crab cake was good but just a weird concept. My sister ordered the salmon Benedict that usually comes with sushi grade raw salmon. This was seared salmon. She said it was good but not what she's used to. The thing that broke my hungry heart was that the eggs were cooked to death. I told the server that I wanted my poached egg to have a runny center and that's not what either of us got. I know he doesn't cook the food so not his fault but dang. This place is hopping and popping through the breakfast/brunch hours but you can always go in and be seated/seat yourself rather quickly.

Geraldine R.

Yelp
We stopped today and had breakfast there. The food was good and the services too! I think we will go back again. Place was very nice and clean

Tylond B.

Yelp
Food was great and the outdoor seating was very nice. Our server was kind however the service was somewhat slow.

Dee Ann H.

Yelp
What a nice place with friendly staff! We sat on the patio for breakfast and it was nice. Our food was good and the coffee was plentiful. This place will make the repeat list!

Irit S.

Yelp
Went there with my niece she had the best time she loved her hot chocolate. My breakfast was amazing. Her pancakes were really good. Service was on time. We had to leave early and they were accommodating. Ambience was nice.

Bill U.

Yelp
I enjoyed the meal for the most part but how do you not have sausage gravy on the biscuits??? The hash browns were good. My wife ordered the pancakes and wasn't pleased with them as they were a bit thin and crispy around the edges. Service was great

Kris K.

Yelp
Bruncheon is just great. I love the service so very much. The food is excellent, but that service? Impeccable. We've only been twice, but we'll be back again soon. Go as soon as you can!! Enjoy.

Judy T.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. The food is DELICIOUS and service was great. Would definitely recommend ordering their chicken fried steak.

Nick B.

Yelp
When we went, the restaurant was minimally filled so the service was stellar. Surprisingly the food was delicious; it isn't like most brunch spots that make their food fancy but skip on flavor. The pancakes, omelette, and steak were to die for. I highly recommend coming here and I would probably rank this one of the top brunch spots in Dallas.

Mayra R.

Yelp
My husband loves breakfast places and this one is one of his favorites! The breakfast is always fresh and delicious. They have some Mexican options like chilaquiles, carne asada and more so I can always eat something since I'm not a big breakfast person Overall it's a great place to eat!

Magdalena K.

Yelp
Food good, but brother got food poisoning. Fast service, and cozy vibes. I didn't get food poisoning and neither did the rest of my group but I won't take the risk of coming back. Cool bird eating leftover crumbs.

Linda H.

Yelp
I was searching for a nearby brunch location and stumbled to this place in Richardson. It's conveniently located off the highway for easy access. I had the crab eggs Benedict and a mimosa. Our server was super sweet and attentive. It gets busy but the tables were turning over on the fast side.

Sherri H.

Yelp
We had the most excellent breakfast experience this morning, our first time at Bruncheon! We sat outside on the shaded patio and there were fans to keep us comfortable. It was actually pleasant outside at 8:30 am! A portion of the parking lot was coned off for a group of men showing off their Triumph cars. They were sitting on the patio as well and it was so fun listening to them talk about their engines, etc. I don't know their schedule but it sounds like they come most Saturday mornings. Now, let's talk about the delicious food! I ordered the Hawaiian Pineapple pancakes based on other Yelp reviews. The pineapple gets carmelized as it cooks and the pancake is light and fluffy. It's served with a light vanilla frosting so you don't even need any syrup. It's not overly sweet and they are plenty moist! You can order 2 or 3. I ordered 3, because I wanted leftovers for tomorrow. So delicious!!! Hubby ordered the Denver Omelet with hash browns and a biscuit. It was delicious as well! The omelet was fresh and filled with plenty of ham and veggies. The biscuit was so good too!! Our server, Mike, was very personable and attentive and was the icing on the cake to our 5 star experience! We had a great time because it all came together- great food, atmosphere and service! We'll be returning again very soon!

Cheryl R.

Yelp
We were so excited to try this place only to be disappointed and disgusted. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The first batch of chicken looked worse than this (as if that could be possible). This was the redo and it also came out burnt, fried extremely hard and greenish. It was as if they had not changed the grease in months. My sister ordered crab Benedict that was extremely salty and intolerable. My mom ordered the lox omelet which was the only thing edible that came with lumpy grits that were overly salted. My son ordered strawberry shortcake pancakes and the strawberries were oddly warm as if they were microwaved on top of the pancakes. His side of hash browns tasted weird almost like boxed potatoes. It was very hot inside the restaurant and we fought off a fly the entire time. When I notified the waitress (who sang songs from the little mermaid) that I would not be paying for the nasty chicken she brought me $8 because obviously they were not capable of deleting or updating the ticket. It is sad to work hard and waste money on such a pitiful experience. Save your money, your time and your stomach and avoid this place!

B.T Y.

Yelp
This brunch heaven is where you come and invite your neighbors! The price is just right for just about anything you order. The service is friendly and attentive. I had the pleasure ordering the lox and salmon Benedict which is amazing both in their own ways. Definitely coming back for more for this fabulous brunch hang out!

Mr T.

Yelp
There were 14 of us celebrating an engagement on a Saturday morning. We were seated promptly, had excellent service, and the food was outstanding. Prices are reasonable Highly recommended.

Victoria H.

Yelp
Nice menu for either breakfast/brunch or lunch, with many favorites. Good food and coffee. Sometimes service can be a bit irregular or slow when they're busy. Weekends are packed! Nice, dependable place.

John Z.

Yelp
Great service, excellent coffee, and omelette with pancakes & fruit for sides were delicious and filling. I've been to this location several times and it has been consistently good each visit.

Cory H.

Yelp
First advice definitely come here early if you can. I made the mistake of coming here late one morning and they were so packed I left cause there was a long wait. Today I walked right in and got immediately seated. The menu has many different items to choose which made it hard for me to decide. Once I ordered my food it came out rather quickly and everything tasted great. The pineapple pancakes while good were just a little too sweet for me. I was very impressed with the fact they have grits here and they come with cheese on them. They were very good which was surprising cause not everybody can make good grits. I look forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu.

Dalton S.

Yelp
I hate leaving bad reviews but I travel for work and stop in to countless cafes along the way to catch up on work . they do not have WiFi, the server said (who was nice and polite) management "doesn't want people staying too long" I understand business and turning through tables but it's 2024 and lots of people work while they eat

Jordan P.

Yelp
First the good news: food is good. I had the brisket skillet. It was hot; the brisket was tasty, has browns crispy and the eggs were as ordered. I didn't see the need for corn but it didn't hurt. Biscuit was OK, not great. My daughter ordered the Mediterranean Omelette. She liked it: eggs, feta, tomatoes, onion and olives. Prices are reasonable. Now the bad news. Service is incredibly slow - and it wasn't too busy as we were at the tail end of the lunch rush. Don't go here if you are in the clock. Now the really bad news. This place is filthy! There was food on the floor, dirty tables when we arrived were still dirty an hour later when we left. Worst of all, they piled the dirty plates s on a counter next to the clean silverware and coffee urns, right in front of us. They were never cleared. Aside from being unsightly, it seemed to be a health hazard. Did they not have a dishwasher? The two stars are for the food. If the place had good service and was clean, I would have bumped up the rating. But I would not recommend eating in such filthy place.

K C.

Yelp
We had a party of 6 yesterday and the food was good, service was good, but it was HOT in there. It was my second time there and we enjoyed it, so recommended it to friends. Unfortunately I don't think they were very impressed due to how hot it was. They really need to get their a/c fixed!

Maddi B.

Yelp
I love Bruncheon because it's walking distance from my apartment. If you're in Cityline, this needs to be your go-to brunch place. There's never a wait and it's always really good. Lots of options, kind servers, big dog-friendly patio. I've tried omelettes and avocado toast here and really liked both.

Jay W.

Yelp
Very busy on a Sunday morning but they got a group of 8 seated within 20 minutes. It was pretty loud. I didnt see a lot of smaller kids there but there were a lot of couple and small groups. Food was good, not great. Coffee was good.

Niko D.

Yelp
Amazing authentic Italian!!! 100 percent recommend You get to see the cooks and is great for take out or dine and is not fancy it is simple and practical

Tseday Z.

Yelp
The food is the only reason why I gave them 2 stars, the service wasn't the best but I'm assuming it was just our specific server.

Ann C.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible service and the food is disgusting. Stay away from this place if you can. I ordered the brisket skillet for brunch and after getting it and taking two bites, I saw a bug crawling around in my food. At first, I wondered if it flew in and once I saw it crawling around, I realized it was not a flying bug. I was absolutely disgusted. I waited around for the server to come by and flagged the staff down Told him that I couldn't eat that and pointed to the bug. He grabbed the plate and walked away in a hurry without saying anything. At that point, I was waiting for our waitress or the manager to come out and apologize or ask if I wanted something else but I wait about 15 minutes and no one comes by and I had to go inside and talk to the waitress, and they finally said the manager is remaking the food but at that point, I wanted to puke at the site of the same food since I saw a bug in it so I said I did not want the same thing. I wanted to order something different. The manager Just seemed annoyed and rush off without apologizing and the waitress asked what she can get me and I ordered a Panini to go. Then they bring me a check for the brisket skillet which cost more than the Panini and I reminded the waitress that I didn't end up eating the briskets and she said their policy won't allow her to void it. Just ended up charging a dollar less for the difference. The service is soo poor & management is disrespectful and they had absolutely no care for what had just happened. I will never come here and eat at such an unsanitary place.

Sergei R.

Yelp
'Let's try this place' we said.. annnd They got large portions. This is about only thing - stained menus , a/c on 'warm' side , extremely noisy atmosphere. Food: Hash browns was very close to boxed dehydrated reconstituted stuff . Omelette with ' corned beef' has splatter of what just came out from Walmart cheapest can .. pancakes tasted awfull ( again - box , and not even made right ). Came home , stomach feels all funny. Meanwhile wife is throwing up her chicken waffles.. I am sure she will have her own more gentle review. But I won't step my foot here ever again and you guys shouldn't either

James R.

Yelp
Great service, Had the most delicious veggie / cheddar omelette with toast and breakfast potatoes. Their salsa is home made, very tasty and spicy!

Sarah B.

Yelp
We had a family reunion breakfast here and I think all 11 of us were very happy with the food. The wait was a little ridiculous, especially since our seating was held up by lingering baseball parents whose kids were running amok in the parking lot unsupervised, but once we actually got inside, the experience was very enjoyable. The food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. Service was fairly quick. We tried several items off the menu, and everything turned out great. Down one star because one member of our party had to wait for their plate, and a few had to remind the staff about missing sides. Otherwise, good place for brunch food!

Jocelyn G.

Yelp
If I could, I would give this place 3.5 stars. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak omelette which came with hash browns and a biscuit. Personally, the omelette and hash browns were lacking flavor and I needed to add salt and pepper. The service was good. Overall, a very standard breakfast place with all the typical breakfast options.

Jennifer J.

Yelp
Really yummy food and great service. So happy to have discovered a new brunch place. The eggs Benedict was delish!!

Cheryl R.

Yelp
Atmosphere is nice, service was very good, and food was tasty. Comparable in price to Original Pancake House, but more expensive than John's Cafe. I had the corned beef hash omelette ... it was a Swiss cheese omelette covered with a thin, crispy layer of corned beef hash. Comes with 2 sides - I got a side of hash browns since there was only a "sprinkling" of hash browns on the omelette, and fruit. My husband got the Southwest omelette and it was very tasty!

Pablo S.

Yelp
First time visiting this place! We had a short wait time even during a busy time on a Saturday. Very friendly staff, the atmosphere combined with the perfect weather created the perfect vibe. The only reason I subtracted 1 star is that my meal, the meat skillet, did not have any flavor. Like at all. I had to add salt to it which is something I've never done before! One more thing I didn't like was that I asked for a side of gravy and for just a few ounces of gravy they charge 3 dollars. They did provide a bowl of water for our dog and the french toast were tasty but I will likely not go back.
