A refined oyster bar inside Plant Street Market serving rotating East and West Coast bivalves, lobster rolls, and savory small plates. Loved by local media for serious shucking and a date-night vibe.

I have been here five times over the past three Winters. I have left previous reviews. I don't know where they have gone.🤷🏻‍♂️ This will be my last visit. 🫤As much as I enjoy the tasty expensive very small oysters, 🫣there is no part of my retirement plan that includes spending $50 (with tip & tax) on a dozen oysters at a counter in a local brewery! 😱 Especially next to two toddlers climbing on the bar stools! 😠 Next time I splurge on $3.50/ea 🦪will be a more appropriate venue.🥸 I won't be wearing shorts.🩳 And I'll be at an upscale venue on a rooftop in an exotic location...🕺🏻

My wife and I went to Bruno's Oysters yesterday (7/12/25) and we were very disappointed and we will never go back again and will never recommend this place to anyone. The menu looked good and we were eager to go there. First walking in I liked the old rustic look and atmosphere as part of the Plant St Market Place in Winter Garden, FL. As I walked in looking around I did not see a kitchen or door leading to a kitchen, just an interesting thought, and we just picked a table and sat down. Nobody greeted us when we came in, it was just help yourself. We sat down and looked around wondering what do we do now. There were about 4 employees standing behind the bar and a counter, one with his phone in his face, where the oysters were on display. Nobody looked at us or came over to our table with menus. So I got up and walked over to the oyster counter and asked, can we have a menu and how do we order? I was told here. I asked about the oysters which look good on display. We ordered 6 raw oysters, the 6 roasted oysters, the lobster roll and the bone marrow. Now I have seen bone marrow many times on TV shows but never tasted it, so we wanted to try this. Just a note here, behind the oyster counter was a toaster oven, that was the kitchen we learned later. All the hot dishes were cooked in the toaster oven. Now on to the foods. The oysters were good and looked fresh, but at $42.00 a dozen, they did not taste that good. The lobster roll was tasty but was small and looked like only half a lobster was used to make it and this was $23.00. The 6 roasted oysters were good tasting but very small and was $22.00. The roasted bone marrow then came and the server apologized for taking so long because they can only cook one thing at a time in the toasted oven he said. Never having bone marrow, I know from watching TV that you scooped out the center part which is the marrow and eat that. I was confused because looking, I only saw what looked like a black goo inside. I took my spoon and started scraping the inside of the bone. All I got was about 1/2 teaspoon of this black goo out of the whole bone. I tasted it and it was bad. Both of the bones we got were like that and this was $18.00. I should have complained right then, but we do not like conflict and I would just write a review on all this. This was our experience eating at Bruno's Oysters on Plant St. We live within walking distant of Plant St and as locals we will never go back there.

Google
Hands-down, the best raw oyster bar I’ve been too. My favorite was the Olympic view oysters it’s a West Coast oyster love the salty but fresh taste. Second favorite was a salty marine oyster I believe it’s an East Coast oyster little on the bold salty side. They were so good. No need to add hot sauce or fresh lemon juice. I just ate them raw, Nothing added that’s how good they were. We ordered 2 dozen and we did a variety of all of them and they were amazing. It taste like they just came out of the ocean and was open right in front of us. Seriously the best raw oysters I’ve had in a while took like 30 minutes for us, but the guy was super nice and very informative on all the oysters explaining the different varieties. The beer Florida sunrise is amazing but the elderberry cider is the topping on the cake. Please give this place a try it won’t disappoint you but don’t come ready to eat the food takes a while. So come to have a few drinks and then wait for your food, but I love the place Will most definitely try this oyster bar out again.

Google
Best oysters ever, chef Bruno has a great variety of oysters. Very fresh, the service was excellent. The price was good and the staff is awesome.

Google
5/5 from me! Everything from the atmosphere to the service to food was great! We will be coming back again, the oysters were so fresh and the staff were so knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!

Google
Fantastic oysters. Great space, hidden in plain sight. Oysters and menu remind me of my experiences in the Cape & New England. Focus, tight menu keeps things tidy.

Google
Oysters are fantastic. But the website says Wednesday happy hour $2 oysters and that’s not true. It was $30 for a dozen, which is a good deal, but not what’s advertised. It’s a really cute place. But it was freezing cold in there. They apparently have to leave the doors open even when it’s 55 degrees outside. I couldn’t wait to leave after eating my ice cold oysters and cold beer.

Google
It was wonderful to have oysters from different locations. I wish they had cooked oysters as well.

Yelp
The freshest best oysters and the best shucker, no shell pieces and completely detached iykyk. We have also had the lobster roll here which was excellent. The only negative which is no fault of Bruno's is all the parents that think bringing their wild loud kids to a bar is acceptable. Definitely takes away from the experience. There are plenty of outside seating options.

Yelp
Liked it, but didn't LOVE it. This little nook is around the corner from the main hall of the Plant Street Market and boasts not only the oysters but also another Crooked Can bar (could be a good secret spot if their other bars get busy). My friend and I went on one of their $30/dozen nights and we paired that assortment with a lobster roll. The oysters all seemed super fresh and enjoyable, and the lobster roll was tasty but kind of forgettable. Will I return? Maybe. Not sure. If I have an out of town guest who wants to stay local to downtown yet yearns for oysters then I'll bring em in.

Yelp
Food: super delicious the lobster roll was perfect sauce to meet ratio. Bun and chips were fresh I loved the duck confit grilled cheese it was super good and the cheese was great! The oysters were amazing we got shigoku and salty lime today I found out I'm an east coast oyster fan!! One of the best parts is the freshly grated horseradish Service: one man show but he makes everything fresh and is a great oyster shucker Ambiance: intimate and nice as we sat by the bar

Yelp
The ambiance is moody and rustic. Service is friendly but quite slow both times I went - likely because they are shucking the oysters by hand and also taking time to cook and prepare the meals. I didn't mind waiting though. This place is awesome. I loved the menu options. Everything I tried here was great but I have a minor qualm about each item I tried. *Oysters - you can never go wrong with oysters but i felt the topping/sauce options could have been better. It came with crackers, vinegar and hot sauce. The horseradish was dry and shredded, very weird texture. I felt like the oysters were missing the most important sauce topping, cocktail sauce. *Bone Marrow - absolutely delicious and melts in your mouth. I ordered two bone marrows for myself and my brother and I was expecting half per person but once serving is a whole bone cut in half, so two half pieces. The bread on the side was delicious but it was also drenched in olive oil. I felt that since bone marrow is already very fatty and oily, the bread needed to be dry, but since it was drenched in oil too, it didn't balance out well - maybe add less olive oil next time? Regardless, it was still very delicious! The capers and onions and seasoning on top were perfect. *Lobster roll - I love a solid lobster roll and this one was unique. Not the best I've had but I still enjoyed it. This lobster also included chunks of celery too, it felt more like a lobster salad. The roll was toasted dry and I felt like it was missing butter to create that buttery toasted crust. I like this place a lot, but I don't love it. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because each item was missing something very important to make the meal excel more. Nonetheless, I'll be back for more! And I still enjoyed both times I visited.

Yelp
Just had a great experience here at Bruno's Oysters. Was able to try 6 different oysters in their dozen special. The otters choice was the best by far! Clean, crisp, and full of flavor. Only negative is that we wished the oysters were labeled when ordering multiples. Will be back!

Yelp
Absolutely adore Chef Bruno and I've been meaning to check out his little oyster bar at Plant Street Market for awhile now. It's located inside Crooked Can's Barrel Room which is actually disconnected from the main part of the market in the very front of the building. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for some snackys and beer. They serve east & west coast oysters, charcuterie, pate, and more. I got a half dozen oysters for myself (the hubs can't eat them) and he got the bone marrow. He couldn't stop raving about the bread that came with it. The oysters were fresh and delish, and I also really loved their house made saltine crackers that were served with the oysters. Not sure what they did to make them so yummy, but I could eat those all day. We sat at the bar and also ordered a couple brews. I can't remember the name of mine, but it was some sort of grapefruit gose and I really enjoyed it. Everything hit the spot. This is a cozy little corner of Winter Garden that you'll definitely want to check out.

Yelp
Stop by and wanted to check out Bruno's oysters and it did not disappoint. We ordered 2 dozen oysters and a lobster roll. The oysters we had gotten a variety and it was pretty decent. I did however enjoyed the lobster roll. The roll was toasted well and and the big chunks of lobster were tasty. Glad they didn't over do it on the house aioli. Service was quick.

Yelp
We love visiting Plant Street Market when we are in town and was thrilled to see this place open up. I mean who doesn't love oysters and beer?! We ordered a dozen sweet petite oysters and a lobster roll. I alone ended up eating an entire dozen of the oysters because they were so good. The watermelon vinaigrette was incredible! So we had to order another dozen so my husband could have some. My husband was obsessed with the lobster roll. It was super meaty and filling. Staff was also great! Very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit this place again the next time we're in town.

Yelp
Absolutely love Bruno! Have done a chef's table with him and trust his recommendations and all of his choices. We finally got to go to Bruno's Oysters, I wasn't able to have sea food for a while and I'd been dying to go. We tried the Elkhorn, sex on bay and Fannybay oysters as recommended by the gentleman behind the counter (who was amazing by the way!) and wow they were all so fresh and delicious. We liked the Elkhorn the most, especially topped with the sauce/topping we had on the side. We also tried the stone crab claws which were delicious as well. We absolutely love the vibe of the location, beautiful scenery, great beers right next door. We will definitely be back! Overall: Prices; fair, especially for happy hour or Wednesday when they do 2$ oysters Ambiance; good, be sure to go early (like at open) if you want a more chill vibe

Yelp
Food was real good. Place to very small. Service was slow. Young kids running it. Live entertainment was Karaoke. Some great singers

Yelp
The atmosphere is great in the barrel room. If you are on a date or a small group it's a great spot. The bar is an extension of the Crooked Can and seems to have all of the same items served in the main area. Bruno's oysters takes up a small portion at one end of the bar. You have to pay separately for food and drink. It's a small inconvenience. The pinot was very good and the oysters were mixed with some being amazing and others being good. I don't recommend the oysters rock.. it's loaded with gruyere cheese and spinach...so much so that you don't taste the oyster.

Yelp
I've returned to Bruno's oysters a few times since my initial visit, and I am ready to say that my first visit was a fluke. The service at this place has been absolutely excellent with their staff ready to recommend different oysters and very attentive in giving us the right stuff. We've also learned that they keep horseradish behind the bar which is a great addition to any oyster platter! I plan to be a regular at Bruno's; it's exactly what crooked can needed.

Yelp
Chef Bruno delivers again! This fresh and savoring experience is the perfect pairing to its joint Crooked Can location. Tasty beverages and fat juicy oysters is my new favorite downtown Winter Garden Experience. A phenomenal concept meets and exceeds taste buds galore!

Yelp
I wish I could say horrible things about this place so we could have it all to ourselves but unfortunately I can't do that. Instead, this place is Uh'mazing.... Wife and I happened to stop by because our usual sushi place was booked. We started with one dz then another and another. Got to chat with strangers next to us which was a treat. The atmosphere was chill, food definitely met expectations and the folks shucking the oysters was super friendly. We will definitely come back again and again..

Yelp
Located in the tucked away barrel room at Plant Street Market. Bruno has carefully curated the best selection of oysters from the West/East coasts, as well as the best of what Florida's panhandle has to offer. These FL oysters are not your standard Apalachicola fare, that you douse in sauce, and shovel down your gullet. Rather, these are expertly cultivated molluscs from some of the top farmers in Florida. I'd be remiss not to mention the non seafood items as well. The Pork Terrine, Bone Marrow, and some of the creamiest, most decadent Chicken Liver Mousse I've ever had. Easily the best place for bivalves in the greater Orlando area.
google avatar

Nick G.

Yelp
Bruno's is a brand new Oyster bar at the famous plant street market. Tucked away in the Crooked Can barrel room, the oysters here are a great option from the other foods available. I love seafood so this place is a wonderful new addition!! Bruno personally put together my dozen which was a mix of the 6 types they had today. I highly recommend Bruno's!!!
google avatar

Michelle F.

Yelp
Bruno's oysters located in the barrel room Crooked Can in Winter Garden village is a must try for the oyster lover. There's no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than sipping on a newly released fall brew and adding a presentation of oyster Rockefeller. Count me in every Sunday.

Yelp
(3/25/2023) excellent, friendly, welcoming, informative counter service. We sat right in front of the oyster bar. Oysters we're shucked and explained right in front of us. Very willing to engage in oyster conversation with zero condescension. Highly recommend, especially if you've never had raw oysters.
google avatar

Naty N.

Yelp
Lobster was delicious and seasoned to perfection. The bread choice however was not ideal for this roll. Beer was also a great price.

Chuck H.

Yelp
Don't go unless you have over 35 min to wait for your 6 oysters at opening time on Sunday. Out of a few of their selection. What I got was good but the wait was really bad. Several people walked out because they heard of the wait. One order had to be canceled due to people having other lunch reservations and just wanted to have some oysters before brunch.

Jaden R.

Yelp
I don't even review places, but these were genuinely some of the best oysters I've ever had and it's my favorite food, fresh horseradish was a nice touch. The lid working behind the counter was awesome too

Joseph D.

Yelp
What a gem ! I've been wanting to come here for a while and we finally went today. I love cooked oysters, but never acquired the taste for raw oysters. Their Oysters Rockefeller are the best that I have ever had. They use Gruyère cheese and arugula (instead of spinach). Amazing !!!! The lobster roll is outstanding. Kell gave me a Master Class in the differences in various raw oysters...salty, sweet, texture, etc. I am totally hooked and can't wait to go back. I never in a million years thought that I would fall in love with raw oysters, but I did. I also want to try their duck confit grilled cheese sandwich next time. By the way, the Crooked Can Burgermeister beer is the icing on the cake.
google avatar

Jennifer A.

Yelp
$36.50 for one dozen oysters. Quality was good, especially loved the freshly grated horseradish. Ordered at the counter and ate at crooked can's bar. Want to try it for Happy Hour next time!

Micaela C.

Yelp
Please tell the customer you are out of an oyster before charging them and choosing what they are replacing it with.

Cristian R.

Yelp
Super fresh produce... great staff and seasonal offers.... 10/10!!!! Will be back tomorrow!!!!

Hannah W.

Yelp
We are very new to the oyster scene but had a phenomenal experience. Can't say we are rushing back for the oysters but definitely running back for the service and duck grilled cheese!! The duck grilled cheese y'all They don't go stingy on the meat and I wish I got a picture because it was incredible! Our server was so attentive and really knew his stuff about oysters. I had no idea it could be like wine tasting with so many flavors and reasonings as to how this oyster tastes different from that. We're not oyster connoisseurs by any means but this experience makes us want to come back and develop our palate
google avatar

Bob W.

Yelp
Loved this place! Beer and oysters, what more could you want. We got a mixed dozen and some roasted. Delicious! Counter people were terrified. They were knowledgeable about the oysters and very personable. This place is dangerous because I already want to come back.
google avatar

Jim D.

Yelp
At $34 per dozen, the oysters were not only the smallest I've ever seen, but we were told to eat them in a clockwise order from sweetest to briny and the 1st four were about as bad tasting as I've ever had and I'm worried that I might get sick! The rest were decent, but not near the top of the list of great oysters we've had. We were not expecting this from a place that has OYSTERS in their name! lol. The 3rd from last was just about the size of dime, but when my wife separated it from the shell, it actually cut the size down even further. The crackers were one of the best items! Very crisp with a hint of mushroom flavor. The cocktail sauce was good, lemon pieces were fresh and juicy. They served another sauce with onions, sugar, vinegar and heavy cumin. It didn't pair well for us. Cumin was overpowering everything. We also split a lobster roll. The addition of a little Tarragon on top was nice. Mostly claw thumb meat. The meat was not super chewey, but it was not tender either. For $21, I expected more and better. I was told they have been open for about 6 months. I'm pretty sure they won't last another 6 without some major changes. It took about 15 to 20 minutes to get 12 raw oysters and a single lobster roll! This was with very few other customers, on a Saturday, at dinner time. That's too long. We didn't complain to management, we just won't be back. Hopefully, they were just having a bad day

Yelp
Love love oysters!! Gentleman that was serving was extremely knowledgeable of oysters!! Helped me decide on what type to purchase. They were sooo fresh and delicious!!! Highly recommend!! AND you can enjoy a tasty craft beer from Crooked Can!!

Don G.

Yelp
Henry is great, the oysters were chosen and shucked perfectly. Everything was delivered with the utmost attention to detail. The best thing in winter garden as far as I'm concerned
