We have been going to Bruno's for years. Usually we absolutely love their pizza and typically do not experience any service issues. However, yesterday my family called and ordered a medium white pizza. We sent dad to go pick it up. He was confused when he came home and thought the box seemed larger that usual. I opened it up and sure enough he was charged for and sent home with a large combo. (this was not dad's fault as we did not let him know what we had ordered)
When i called to let them know we were given the wrong pizza, we were told to send my father back with the wrong pizza to return and we would be given the correct one. I felt this was rather unusual. I felt we should have been able to at least keep the incorrect pizza - I mean, were they going to sell it to the people who ordered it? What it we touched or spit on it? It was not OUR fault my dad was given the wrong pizza. I checked, the wrong pizza had a ticket on it that said my dad's name. We also got no apology on the phone or offer for any sort of discount, to keep the incorrect pizza that was sent home with dad, or maybe an order of like, free mozz sticks or something for the inconvenience. We were simply told my dad had to inconvenience himself, waste his gas and time to drive all the way back, and return the first pizza to get our correct one.
side note: Our medium white pizza was also stone cold by the time dad got it home.
Bruno's - we used to love you. However, you just lost what was once a loyal customer who always gave you rave reivews and recommended you to friends/family. Next time you give someone the wrong pizza, let them keep it or at least offer to deliver the correct one free of charge instead of royally inconveniencing your loyal customers.
