Excellent! We arrived at about 8:45 and to my surprise the place was about empty. We sat at the bar and ordered some drinks. My daughter loved her dream-sickle drink and the old fashioned I had was good. We ordered the shareable burnt ends (absolutely fantastic!) as well as the Italian and the French Dip. Everything was delicious!

Tried bru’s for the first time yesterday and let me tell you they did not disappoint. It has a very causal vibe. Staff was super friendly and didn’t rush us to order or finish our food. The food itself was simply amazing somebody pay that chef more. Each item was beautiful made and cooked to perfection. We had the pulled pork egg roll, the Italian hoagie, the French dip, and I forget the technically name for the last one but it was burnt something it’s under the shareable part of the menu. I definitely recommend stopping in if you haven’t been. Definitely will be heading back

One of the best pub experiences I’ve had, anxious to go back. Shared wings with my son, they were good and I enjoyed the buffalo hot sauce on the side, just the right amount of heat. Had the french dip, one of their most popular sandwiches, and it was quite good. Beef was good consistency, the dip was nice and plentiful. Substituted sprouts for fries and they were fantastic. Our server was also quite attentive, overall a great lunch.

Really good place with lots of seating and TVs everywhere. They also have a great selection of bourbons and beers. Food is good, had a Bru burger which I liked a lot and the fries were actually darn good.

Great atmosphere and service! The staff are attentive and friendly. Generous portions of food. I just had the pork belly egg rolls, but was told that French Dip is the star of the show. This is a great place to watch a game or catchup with a friend.

Absolutely love this place, I'm a weekly regular. Always a great selection of craft beers, and the food is great. If you can handle some spice, try the breuben it's delicious! Then again, anything you try is great. One of the few places around that have truffle and poutine fries! Not the to mention the service is quick and friendly. Andrew and Bree i see the most, and they are the best! They always take the time to stop, talk and check on you. Also outdoor seating is always a plus when the weather's right. Must try!

Love this place! Delicious food, friendly staff, and a clean and welcoming atmosphere. They have lots of gluten free options. The bru burger with the gluten free bun is absolutely amazing!! I always look forward to coming to Bru's Public House when I have to come up to Chapel Hill.

First time experience as I brought family members from out -of-town for a "celebration of life". I come from a long line of family members in the hospitality industry including myself. Mixed reviews... Server was pretty amazing although attention to detail was not at best like refilling water, not clearing plates, basic things. Now, on to the food... Pork egg rolls fantastic! I did not partake in coconut shrimp because I do not like coconut, semi ok based on the rest of the table. Now, on to the spicy chicken nachos.... Not for the weak at heart nor fur those who are super allergic to anything but, spicy and stomach intolerant!!! These were definitely a "BUST" The chicken was hard, dried out, just way to over spicy!! Maybe consider grilled chicken and less spicy? Okay, on to main entrees... Burger got👍🏻, French dip 👍🏻, Prreuben 👎 because it's was super fatty and meat not chopped well, and wedge salad well how can you really mess up a salad!?!? If I return, at least I know what to order and what not to order

Food is really good! service was good. Cool little sports themed bar/restaurant in Carrboro. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts with pancetta

Food was middling. Nothing really stood out. Service was attentive. The space is huge, and lacks any particular ambience. It is attached to the Hampton Inn, which provides a source of built in business. I don't rhink I'll go out of my way to go back, but it was ok for one evening.

What a fantastic evening of sports, great food, wonderful wine, and fun conversations with new friends of Carrboro! First of all, let's talk about how clean & welcoming this restaurant is! You can tell each person involved with Bru's cares about their guests. Located in the former Hickory Tavern space, you will be pleased with all of the updates and attention to detail the new owners have poured into this space. The TVs are fabulous! The BEST large screen resolution my husband and I have ever seen (and we frequent many sports bars in every city we travel to!). In addition to the huge screen, the new owners have invested in perfectly positioned, high definition televisions throughout Bru's. They have created a space that Carrboro residents can call home for weekday lunch to after work meet-ups and favorite sporting events. The food menu is diverse, many options for everyone. I saw many gluten free options as we settled on sharing a classic Margherita thin crust pizza. The flavors were bright and the texture of the thin crust pizza is exactly what I was hoping for. Next visit though the adult grilled cheese with tomato bisque will be my choice for a delicious lunch. We were impressed with the beers on tap and even more delighted to see their wine offerings. Most restaurants that focus on having lots of TVs for their guests to watch sports tend to offer low quality wines. It's just the way it is. But not at Bru's! We enjoyed a delicious Gruner Veltiner (a crisp white wine typically from Austria) which paired nicely with our thin crust pizza. Lastly I want to focus on the service. It is so genuinely friendly, efficient and kind. You sit there for hours (we stayed for the entire football game!) and you feel as if you are in a friend's home. Rosie at the bar is fun and on top of each bar guest. Brie works the tables with a great smile and complete ease. One of the new owners, Denise, even shared some laughs with us and other guests as we applauded her and her team on such a great redo of this location. So, when in Carrboro, stop in at Bru's. Ask for a great beer and some shareable truffle fries and short rib sliders and then ask how Bru's got its name! Fun story!

We found the food beyond amazing. From appetizer to meal, everything was exceptional. There were 5 of us for dinner and we all agreed that if we were back in town ( we are visiting from Omaha, Nebraska) that we would love to eat here again. We talked collectively and agreed that our review would only rate 4 stars. We came to this conclusion because the wait staff acted as if you were a bother, or as if you were taking up their free time by coming in for dinner. It wasn't just our waitress, but there were others in the staff that treated us and other patrons the same way. Maybe step up the quality of the staff to match the quality of the meal and this place would be that more amazing.

This place is truly a hidden gem. Nestled behind the main street, there is plenty of seating inside and some outside under a covered roof. Huge bar and great beer selection. The nachos are unreal, huge portion and the flavor combo is awesome. The pizza on gluten free crust is quite honestly one of the best I have ever had! Service is great, food is delicious...this is a must try!!!

Great atmosphere for a chill night, especially for a group or while watching a sports event. Everything we tried was delicious and prepared and delivered quickly. We had the fried shrimp, Brussels sprouts (favorite), short rib sliders (favorite), truffle fries and wedge salad. We also enjoyed a few drinks as well. The Hurricane is a restaurant favorite and it's delicious. Plenty of other menu items to choose from and it's hard to pick just one. I definitely want to try a sandwich pizza next time. Parking deck and nearby shopping center parking.

Bru's was some grade A food! I got the Adult Grilled Cheese and my wife got the Double Burger on a pretzel bun. Both of our entrees were absolutely fantastic. We are staying at the hotel next door and decided to walk over and try this place out. We also got the Bru-Shetta as an appetizer which was also really good. The service was great and the outdoor patio is a perfect place to eat on a warm spring day. If I am ever back in the area, I will 100% be stopping by this place. Thanks for the great food!!

Let me start with the service it was top notch both ladies were nice and friendly they did everything to make us feel welcomed. Our food came out quick hot an delicious I'm looking forward to my next visit. There was out door seating which we wanted to do but it was way to hot outside maybe next visit it will be cooler we sat on a couch and it was a very relaxing the atmosphere was really chill. Anyways go have a beer eat some good food and relax.

Had a couple meals here and the food is good and reasonably priced. Nothing blew me out of the water but I'd go back.

Yet another grilled cheese disappointment. I guess I like mine with a buttery flavor and a crispness to the bread~~Bread did not even seemed cooked at all..~~lackluster with over salted soup. Not impressed at all and a little pricey for what I got.

Celebrated my son-in-laws birthday yesterday and again, very happy with the food, beverages and service. Special shout out to our server/waitress, Camilla. She was friendly, attentive an very helpful from setting up tables(10) people, service and and drinks. The Burnt Pork Ends were excellent, brussel sprouts seasoned and cooked very well, the Coconut shrimp was delicious. Their pizzas are prepared well and served hot. The drink menu is very good with a variety of types. Their menu is simple but, everytime, i have eaten there the food is excellent. Parking is available but it fills up sometimes. Prices are fair for the quality an amount of food you receive. looking forward to returning

The burgers the family had were good. But be careful it was just me, my wife and daughter they decided to charge up for tip even though we put no tip and gave cash instead

Ducked in for a concert at Cat's cradle, and stopped by Bru's before the concert. It was a game day so the place was a bit packed. Lots of TVs around to catch the game, so I appreciate that, but it's a loud place and almost overly bright. You seat yourself and the server approached within five minutes which was fast considering the crowd. Ordered a Margarita and the Burnt Ends shareable appetizer as my main based on the servers suggestions. The pizzas looked amazing but I am just one person and honestly all of the food around me looked sizeable and good. The food and drink came out quickly. The marg was tasty and strong. I nursed it slowly throughout my time. The burnt ends were huge and juicy. The sauce and general tso risotto were out of this world! While the risotto was a little sweet, it was tangy and perfectly cooked. The burnt ends were fatty but everything could be separated easily and the meat was tender and so good. I will definitely be back!

Customers who arrived 10 minutes after we sat down were served before we were. Server continued to be inattentive throughout the entire meal.

Nice Ambiance and bar great selection of drinks and the staff is friendly. Food was hot and made to order. Service was excellent.

Good service, decent food, nice patio, free parking, convenient location. We ate here when we stayed at the hotel next door. We'd been roadtripping all day long and, once we'd gotten ourselves settled into our accommodation, we just did NOT want to drive anywhere else that day. This place was a nice surprise. Much better than expected considering it was selected primarily for convenience. Fresh food, generous portions, came out hot, and reasonable prices. We were very happy with our sever, and found the patio comfortable, especially after seven hours in the car. Oh. And their fries? Excellent! So many places get fries wrong, so this was worth stopping in for that one reason alone. Ha ha ha.

Delicious and fun. Great staff and food is fab. Loved the adult Grilled cheese. Heather and Jamie are great. Basketball games on the TV were on point too! Happy to have this business in town.

We had a great afternoon experience on the patio watching the many TVs set up for viewing! Good beers and cocktails along with some delicious truffle fries. Gloria, our server was friendly and helpful. We look forward coming back for more food and beers.

Came here after having the most disgusting meal at Carolina Brewery down the street. Solid beer selection and amazing pulled chicken sandwich. Wish we had found this place first!

We visited the Chapel Hill area for a wedding and stayed in the Hampton Inn right next door to this restaurant and we had dinner at Bru Public House twice. It was great. Good service, friendly servers. Amazing pizza. Thin crust and flavorful. Great hand cut fries, French dip sandwich and salad. Good cocktail selection. We will certainly eat here again when we are in the area.

Went for a Friday night birthday dinner and the customer service was AMAZING, as was the food! We had Gloria as our waitress and she didn't disappoint nor did she lead us astray. She was completely honest with all food and drink questions we asked and was so fun to be around! I had the cuban sandwich with the side of tomato bisque and it was 2 meals for me! There were 6 of us and we split brussels and bruschetta and both were just perfect. 10/10, will be back based on food and service!!!! was too excited to take pics...bloop

Seems like any generic sports bar but made me feel odd because I ordered a PBR? Said the owners won't allow it to be served so I left? You're a dadgum "PUB" but PBR is beneath your corporate goals? Must be more to the story!?!

I love this place! So glad they came to Carrboro. Brody took great care of us. Beer selection is fantastic and the burger is delicious. Nice space!

Had a graduation party for my son there last night and everything was perfect. All the preplanning was super easy. The food was amazing, the service was superior and the price was reasonable. The private room was plenty big for our 27 people and could have easily held more. We highly recommended this place for your next private party!

We sat on the patio because we brought our pups... Who also received amazing service. Just wish there were fans on the patio for a little breeze.

Spent last night enjoying cocktails and some dessert with a couple of my girlfriends. I couldn't ask for a more friendly establishment. The restaurant was clean and the servers were especially personable. Brittany, Lane, and Quincy made a fabulous night even better by their quick attention speedy delivery and exceptional service. Brittany's shift ended before we left and she turned us over to her partner Lane. Lane continued the fabulous service. We found out that Quincy was making the cocktails and we definitely enjoyed our time.
