Sushi Ichimura Opens in Tribeca | Eater NY

"Following his early Midtown venture, Ichimura worked at David Bouley’s acclaimed Brushstroke, where New York Times critic Pete Wells wrote that Ichimura’s work challenged the commonly held belief that "the finest sushi is the freshest," describing Ichimura’s practice of curing fish in salt or vinegar and noting that his method for seasoning rice "may ruin other sushi for you." - Melissa McCart

Unique experience with wholesome vibes. Their outdoor patio is nice and has positive energy. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is $18 per participant plus whichever pottery you choose to paint. Great spot for a first date or to catch up with an old friend. We went as a group of 5 and everyone is excited to see their creations. Your art will be available for pickup after a week.

My 5 year old and I love coming here for an afternoon of painting. It’s easy and accessible and the people who work here are all super nice and helpful. Looking forward to celebrating a birthday one day or trying a “sip and paint” night.

My child does summer camp here and it's great. It's a chill vibe and the camp counselors are fantastic. They allow for the kids to truly be creative and express themselves. My child even asked that we go back for studio hours to keep working on more projects. Huge thanks to the staff here!

It was a really fun place to go and paint, but dang was it pricey! The base fee is $18 a person and then it totals up so high. Would come here again, but not too often.

Cool spot to go to with your little one. Staff are super helpful and knowledgeable! Prices vary depending on the piece you want to paint.

I booked a teambuilding activity for the organization I work for as part of our 2 day retreat. We had an AMAZING time at Brushstrokes, we participated in the mosaic building activity. Jessie was amazing from the start of planning through the end of the activity/finished product. There were 24 of us and our activity took place outside on the patio and parklet. We got to smash tiles for our mosiac projects, Jessie guided us through the activity and worked with us to ensure that we all left with completed (in design) mosaic. It's been 2 weeks since the activity and my colleagues continue to rave about our session at Brushstrokes and how it was a greak kickoff to the our 2 day retreat. Thank you Jessie!

I really want to keep supporting this business but this is the second pottery piece I’ve gotten back with a large dirt smudge in the middle. This one actually had two! I made a plate with no paint near where the smudges were, so I don’t know if something dropped in the kiln or the employees just weren’t careful handling my piece. Many of my friends have had similar experiences with smudges, finger marks, etc. It’s too expensive and too many hours spent painting our pieces to have this keep happening. Super disappointing!

A fun and family-friendly place to go! The staff are incredibly nice and helpful, and the studio has a great atmosphere and nice outdoor seating. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to paint if you plan on coming.
