28 Best Places for Shopping in Paris | Condé Nast Traveler

"Originally a treasure trove of military and workwear vintage, I’ve watched Brut (founded in 2012) evolve into a hybrid label with a showroom and shop: the upper floor features the brand’s Rework pieces and the Brut Collection of new designs while a sharp rotation of vintage garments is sold downstairs, and the aesthetic—though leaning menswear—is largely unisex; don’t miss the emblematic long-sleeved “Climber” tees that are ubiquitous around the 11th arrondissement." - Lindsey Tramuta

One of my favorite shop in Paris. If you love military and workwear surplus brand this is one of the in-depth ones. I spent hours exploring the clothing, the garments and the design are all amazing. Also the staffs are so friendly and knowledgeable about their stuff.

DO NOT BUY in Store from here, they have a 10% voucher (WELCOME10) which you only get after you made the purchase. I have been trying to get into contact with Customer Care but they stopped responding. I have never received the refund of 10% that was promised to me. I repeat for 1400 EUR spent you get 0 customer service. Rather spend your money somewhere else. I’m taking my case to the european ombudsman - EDIT: after a long fight I got my refund, apparently there were issues because I bought things in store and that’s why the refund didn’t happen automatically even though in their system it showed as paid. Thanks to Emma who saw this review and helped me out

Excellent welcome and attentive staff (for French speakers, the 'tu' might be unexpected, but good enough for me!). The fabric feels high-quality and the construction, including seams and fit, is generally good for their style. However, I cannot overlook the fast fashion compromises hidden within premium-priced items. Features like incredibly shallow front pockets (unusable for a phone), minimal pleats, and missing belt loops are disappointing. The 'Made in China' origin points to cost-cutting that undermines the otherwise good aspects.

Snobby staff, who were clearly so busy with their own chats that they didn’t bother serving my husband. Even though he came in dressed in Brut and was VERY eager to spend, there was no service, no conversation and no additional items offered during the try on session (pieces that we chose ourselves and had to ask for other sizes…). We are gutted because we have loved the brand for a while and had come specifically to Paris to see the store. We reluctantly bought for over 400€ because we wanted the pieces now but it has majorly put us off the brand altogether. You really felt unwelcome and as if you were bothering the staff by wanting to buy?!

Very conflicting feelings. Used to be great and highly curated, but moved more and more into being a "livestyle" brand with products of questionable quality made in China for exagerated prices. The customer service is inexistent and questions and messages go unanswered. General air of boredom of the shop team. In short: A Former Top now a resounding flop.

Very very dissatisfied about the service of BRUT. - I ordered a belt a month ago. - It was sent in a paper bag and came in DAMAGED (while the size was good). No packing slip, no return label included. A bit the same experience as when you buy something on vented. - I returned it and they send me a new belt - again in a paper bag. However, they sent a belt that is 2 sizes smaller - while I didn't ask for a smaller size. - After contacting customer care they didn't reply for a week. - Now they do reply (and call me David - which is not my name) and they ask me to take pictures of a the matter. Why do you want me to take pictures of a (smaller) belt that you guys sent me? Because of the BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE I end up with no belt and 5 visits tot he postal office. Which intern is doing customer care at BRUT? Really don't recommend people to buy online at BRUT.

Have only ordered from them online. Their products are exactly what is missing on the market (my personal opinion). I‘ve ordered from them multiple times and can only praise them. To counter some critiques I‘ve read on here: 1. Shipping: Shipping has always been incredibly fast for me. I‘ve had to wait longer for items to be shipped that I bought in country. 2. Returns: Had to return one product up until now and followed their instructions regarding returns as stated on their website. I got the right size back after a week and was happy. No emails needed. 3. Sizing: For every product, there is a detailed size sheet. Using that I have found my right size with different garments. 4. Quality: I agree with some reviews stating loose threads (had this issue on one of two thermals I bought). Other than that I can‘t say anything negative about the quality of their products. 5. Price: The prices are high. As per the information on their website, most of their garments are sewn in Paris. Combine that with them being a small business and in my opinion, this largely justifies the price. Overall I am satisfied with every item I purchased up until now when it comes to fit and design with one minor flaw in one item. With them being such a small business I am happy with their service though and can‘t wait to visit them in person!

The best menswear store in Paris. Everything fit perfectly, loved the short crop on their clothes. Pricey and worth it!
