This brewery was awesome. We had a flight, and every beer was great. I really enjoyed their Marauder brew. The sitting was great, and they had a decent sized patio. The artwork on the wall was exceptional. The bar tender was really good, and she was super friendly. The only thing that was a small issue was the smell of brewing. It was a bit stinky, and it messed a little with the taste of the beers we were drinking. We moved out to the patio, and then everything was perfect. It is worth stopping by.

Google
Small batch can be difficult it Brutal does it right. Smaller tasting room but great artwork and the beer is totally worth it. I highly recommend get a couple flights to experience and explore the options! Knowledgeable bar tender. Awesome pretzels and pub style pizza. Really good prices too!

Google
We were up for the weekend and stopped by this brewery as we were hoping around. Didn't have intentions on staying long, but we really dug the vibe. The pizza was epic and the pretzel was great too. We ended up having several rounds of brews and liked everything we tried. The music bingo kept us there along with the drinks and atmosphere. We will be back there again in the future. Great staff and overall brewery, cheers!

Google
One of two fantastic breweries in north Richland Hills, Brutal Beerworks personality match their beer: full of interesting flavors and eclecticity. From their IPA’s to their Stouts to their patented Gusherz series of sours, I fall in love with each new beer I try. I’ve been to hundreds of breweries and Brutal has the coolest interior art I’ve come across. From a huge kraken to a bearded Viking, I love their vandalism style artwork. They’re always friendly, offering educated suggestions if you’re having difficulty deciding. My advice? Get a couple of flights and try them all! Note that they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so don’t break your own heart and arrive then.

Google
Did not expect to find a brewery in this small mall. The beer selection is limited but I suspect most people will find something to their liking. I ordered the flight and of the four, I thought the kraken was very drinkable. The Indian Lager and pilsner was so so and I could not handle the mango sour. i dont normally like sour beers but i thought its mango and I love mango

Google
Brutal Beerworks has some interesting options. Decent beer, but not among the best breweries I've tried in the area. Their tasting room is smaller, but the artwork is really nice. They have a kid corner with chalk boards, so it is child friendly. Seems like a nice local spot. Definitely worth trying out, but not necessarily driving across the metroplex for.

Tania Herscobedo

Google
I liked the place. It’s really chill and fresh, the server was really nice and helpful. I believe every week or so they have new beer. I tried the Kraken which is the darkest beer they had and it was gooooood 🤤 they also sell pizza and pretzels but I didn’t try them out, next time for sure. I loved the art work in their walls. They were playing rock music. I enjoyed my time here 😎

Sam Keske

Google
Enjoyed the artwork, family-friendly space and food options, and relaxed ambiance. Had all four hazy IPA options on a Wednesday night flight (a weekly special). Decent, but showed that more options doesn't = better. Would give it 4.5 stars, but the beer is most important at a brewery.

Yelp
Tried my first one last night. A delicious Breakfast Stout. Nice full flavor and quite smooth. I look forward to making it to the brewery for more tasting opportunities They are not currently in distribution so you gotta *drink local* !!!
google avatar

Yelp
Cool brewery in the burbs. Nice variety of brews, but especially the sours are fire. That strawberry sour...yum! Additionally, they offer create-your-own thin crust pizza, which was actually quite good. Even my picky kids loved it. So, a good spot to have some brews and hang with your family.

Yelp
You get a one star until you get your rodent problem fixed. Hire a exterminator, get a blow torch, do something. You are preparing beverages and food for consumption. A rat running around where people can see and take pictures is NO BUENO. Don't worry I have a picture. Rats literally pee and poop were ever they are. I love your beer, it is a solid 5 star. You get a one for pest control.

Yelp
Great local place. Good selection of beers. Big tv with games on. Pretzels and pizza are a must try. Quite the hidden gem.

Yelp
A nice little community brewery in the area. They have amazing art work on their Togo cans, on the walls and such. Plus a nice large space that used to be a British restaurant. They don't have as many choices as other local breweries in the area; like my friend who prefers hefeweizen style beers had to try a couple before deciding on Maverick. The MANGONADA was very sour. I had hoped they would still have had the gushers one, cause I had bought a can as a gift previously but never got to try it, but they have a new version coming soon. I appreciate that they have a 6oz drink option! Staff was really helpful and knowledgeable about the product when helping us out. They weren't very busy when we went on a Saturday night so i hope that was a one off night for them.

Yelp
This brewery is amazing!!! We are only sad we finally discovered it. There is something for everyone. It is totally family friendly. Our 5 and 3 year old, rambunctious boys had a blast. The taco truck, La Bandida, was excellent. The pollo asada was very well flavored and cooked. The environment was super laid back and inviting. The music is excellent and totally appropriate for the environment. I love that they invite local vendors for a mini craft fair. It truly is a local brewery that supports local businesses. The beers are fun and unique. And to the lady who works the front; you are an amazing person! Thank you for the recommendations and your warm and friendly personality. You made our experience at the brewery that much more special.

Yelp
Always have new, funky beers to try. Also a veriety of more typical brews for the traditional folks. Great deals on Thursdays. Good customer service and music. Whats not to love?
google avatar

Eddie B.

Yelp
Pizza and brews are great nice chill, welcoming environment. My kind of tunes. Kid, dog friendly.
google avatar

Meg S.

Yelp
Neat spot... cool wall art, great beer and friendly staff. Will be going back. It is dog friendly on their patio also.

Kay G.

Yelp
The beer was good, the food was okay, the decor is awesome, but the prices are a little too high.

Yelp
What a great surprise! We tried this spot out before heading over to catch some roller derby and what a find! I had the Panic Attack and Snozzberry I believe, and loved them both. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the playlist they had going was nice, great mix of songs! Definitely coming back!
google avatar

Yelp
First timer here and I wasn't disappointed at all, they're really nice enough to let sample some flavors since I am not into hardcore beer, but more of a fruity person! I've only tried out the gushers and it tastes like those sour gushers! They also do pizza like custom oven pizza, with whatever sauces and cheese but however many toppings for only 12.99! - Pizza: Their pizza is great with beer, the pizza quite flavorful but isn't too saucy, toppings are great and it just seems like pizza makes anything and everything better! *Overall: Would come back to try out other fruity beer and some pizza!
google avatar

Jason N.

Yelp
First time here and the service given here was great, I didn't get the name of the person who help us but I enjoy the artwork here. I got the Juice Bomb which was great. My twin brother the flight here. We will be back for sure for more.
google avatar

Shelby B.

Yelp
This place is unassuming considering it's in a strip mall but the beer, pizza, and pretzels did not disappoint. This will definitely be a regular spot for us

Yelp
Brutal Beerworks has created a unique space for the North Richland Hills community. They are definitely a family and community centric brewery that looks to give back in any way possible. They have community style tables for patrons to sit at. They even have an area for kids to hang out and entertain themselves which is really nice. We actually saw two families sitting in that area and their children were having a great time. Brutal Beerworks stole our hearts back when they released their milkshape IPA's. I definitely recommend trying those when you stop by. Check out their social media pages to find out how you can join them in giving back to the community.

Yelp
Had been wanting to check this brewery out for a little while. They do have a diverse selection of beer, mainly consisting of sours and IPAs - they remind me of Turning Point. The prices are on the higher end, expect to pay $1-3 dollars extra for a pint, which is expensive, especially for Hurst, TX. However, the kolsch I had was very enjoyable. I like the artwork on the walls, and their logo is very well done as well. They are soon going to start selling cans to go in the brewery, you can currently get growler fills, I believe. The music wasn't to my taste though, too grunge. They did have a selection of board games to play and college football was on the projector.

Yelp
I love the variety of quality brews!! They have so many different styles on tap. Something for everyone! I had to get a flight because I couldn't decide on just 1! They were all wonderful. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I like that they allow& welcome outside food. I like the ambiance! It was open, bright, but not too loud! I see myself going back frequently to hang out. It's a must try if you like craft beer!
google avatar

Deya Z.

Yelp
Decent beers up the road from the in laws? We'll take it! But just remember, they're decent. They have a wide selection of beers but it wasn't clear if they specialize in a particular brew style. I tried at least 2 NEIPA before settling on one. I wasn't as impressed but gave it a go. Even after a few sips in, it seemed like it was missing something. SIL & friends liked the sours. It definitely feels like a brewery getting their bearings straight so I hope they find their way!
google avatar

Cliff E.

Yelp
This is a nano brewery gem, everything that I have had here is excellent. But the newest, Damn Skippy Imperial Stout is truly one of the best stouts that I have had, and I have been all over TX., Denver, Portland, Bend, Seattle, Cali to many breweries. Yes I am a beer nerd/snob. Keep up the great work Brutal crew.
google avatar

Jake M.

Yelp
This place looks like THE place to hang out with friends and have some AMAZING beers served by the COOLEST people. Unfortunately it's Covid Season still so we had to get beers to go. The beers and sours we got were ridiculous. It was Christmas for my tastebuds. They now have a customer for life. When things get back to "normal" you bet your sweet a$$ I will be here and bringing all my homies! Cheers!
google avatar

Kirby T.

Yelp
Nice little gem in North Richland Hills, love seeing breweries pop up in the area! Owners are friendly and helpful when choosing beers. They have pint options and flights, Incase you can't decide. We will definitely be back to check out what else they brew up!
google avatar

Lucas E.

Yelp
Decent beers at brutal, and solid pizza. Brutal won't be winning medals at GABF anytime soon, but perfectly suitable community brewery to hang at and sip some suds. Tried several of their selections and found all to be perfectly drinkable, if not perfectly made. Pizza is above average. Very cool art inside. If in the area I would happily pop back in! Drink local!
google avatar

Suzanne P.

Yelp
The place was small, but super cool vibe and air conditioned. Beers tasted flat and no character. Stout (with cocoa nibs and mint) was watery and tasted thin. Definitely not a typical stout. Approx 4 NEIPAs but only 1 tasted like a NEIPA -- less hoppy, more juicy. The rest were more like a typical IPA. Staff was very friendly and let us try everything before committing - about 8 beers. Coming from Grapevine, I wouldn't go out of my way again. Too many other places within 20 min with stellar beer.
google avatar

Ray N.

Yelp
The beer was great, especially the sours, but was not a fan of the music playing. I'll definitely be back to pick up to-go beers, but probably not going to be a hangout.
google avatar

Jonathan M.

Yelp
Ah, a place that caters to multiple tastes (see review for Turning Point). Was delighted to see they had more than 1 style of beer in their menu, so we got a flight with different styles and they were all pretty decent except for the Belgian wit. Place is kinda chill but was great for us because it was baby's nap time so we were able to enjoy some brews while playing one of their board games. Shall be back to try some mo'.
google avatar

Joe K.

Yelp
Great beer, a little on the expensive side. A lot of choice for the consumer, they brew a lot of the newer craze craft beers; sours, hazy ipas. They had a milk stout, which I love but had pumpkin in, thanks Halloween, hopefully once winter kicks in, I can get a regular old stout. Nice chill atmosphere to hang out in; games, music, the tv had the football on.
google avatar

Todd B.

Yelp
The beer is excellent and the place is great. I love their hazy IPAs but they have so many other excellent styles. They have several games for kids and grown ups. Definitely a family vibe early in the evening but I'm sure this changes later at night. My kids loved it and enjoyed the Dublin sodas they have. The Area 51 or Bust beer is a coconut sour and it's amazing both in taste and color. Excited about the future of this place and pumped to go back in the near future. My favorite beer is the Gold Cobra. Hammerfist is a close second.
google avatar

Brian K.

Yelp
Amazing tasting quality beer. These guys did a great job on everything here at the brewery. I love that they made it kid friendly and close to the bike trail!
google avatar

Yelp
Brutal Beerworks, NRH newest AND first craft brewery is stellar. First let me thank the folks who put this amazing establishment together. The atmosphere and ambiance are very chill and welcoming. Now on to the beer. I had a flight of 4 beers, all awesome. 3 sours and a stout.
google avatar

Sean H.

Yelp
Literally stopped into this place on a whim dropping a friend off back home. The atmosphere is so laid back. The music is a really chill 90s alternative, the walls are covered in detailed intricate paintings depicting a Viking hop head clutching a horn of Brutal Beerworks beer being wrapped up by a Kraken, and the tables are pub style and made for both large and small groups. The entire front of tap room is all windows so there is plenty of natural lighting that adds to the upbeat atmosphere. People are currently playing card games and hanging out like family. The staff are super knowledgable about their product and all the beers are great. I tried a few and then ordered the Torment which was a sweet stout brewed with cocoa nibs and mint. It has a nice smooth finish that leaves the cocoa and mint on the palette long after your wash down your sip. Stop in and enjoy yourselves because you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This place is terrible if I was able to give this place a zero I would. Beer sucks and service does as well. I know is was a bad sign when the entire place had 4 employees and no customers. Don't go here !!!!
google avatar

Mike V.

Yelp
Heard about a new brewery in the area so I had to go and visit. Look for the hop with Viking horns on the door and the stainless steel vats in the window. Friendly group of folks. Nice variety of beers with and without fruity flavors. I tried the two IPAs Electric Haze Machine and Redemption. Both nice and flavorful and not too overpowering with hops. I like the drinking area with plenty of tables and games available even USB chargers at every outlet (nice touch). Definitely will return and hopefully a good truck on the weekends as per allowed by their complex. Nice way to start a brewery business and welcome to the area.
google avatar

Stacey R.

Yelp
What shines here are their pizzas. Now , having said that I am not a beer fan really. A lot of their beers are sour or IPA. Hubby had a flight with stouts and one sour. His favorite was the What the Helles lager. Their brutal sauce pizza is slightly sweet and spicy-very good! I had a Rose' wine which was poured straight from the can and tasted watered down even so. We did appreciate that they had a water dispenser for the kids. Not very busy on a Saturday night. Have to think it may be because their drinks are lacking in diversity and for wine, quality. Expected more in that department. Prompt and courteous service.

Yelp
Glad to see mid-cities beer game elevated. If this is just the beginning, I can't wait to see what is coming down the road! Highly recommended.
google avatar

Christopher D.

Yelp
This place has a great selection of beers and fantastic atmosphere. Board game and friendly bartenderS. We'll definitely be back!!
google avatar

Mandy N.

Yelp
The art at this brewery is phenomenal. While I'm not much of a sours person I did find their blonde to be nice and drinkable. That being said, my friend who loves sours loved their beers. The ambiance and service were great too. Overall I'd go again just to see their cool merch and art on the wall and my friend can drink their sours.
google avatar

S A.

Yelp
Nice staff! Excellent beer!! Love their sours!! Particularly the Upside Down which is AMAZING!!!

Liz P.

Yelp
Great experience at Brutal Beerworks! They have a good selection of craft beers- my favorite was the Crust or no Crust. Our group was made up of some true beer experts and some newbies and everyone found something they loved. The flights were a little pricey but worth it to find your fave. In addition to great craft brews, they had board games available, and a kids' corner (with chalkboards, colors, etc.) to keep those little teetotalers occupied. Can't wait to be back! One tip--With this place being so new, I found Apple maps and Google maps each had some different issues finding the correct location depending on if I searched by name or address (a second Brutal Beerworks also showed up as a house near Smithfield school). Use Google maps and make sure it pulls up a shopping complex right off 26 with a Popeyes, Gyro Place, Salon 26, Etc. If you're seeing that you're in the right area. There is not a sign yet so look for the Fighting Fitness Factory sign and it's the unmarked storefront to the right of that (back right corner of the shopping complex.) Enjoy!

Cari G.

Yelp
This place is great! I am Always interested in their new brews, they come up with the most inventive flavors and usually carry multiple sour beers which are my favorite!

Reality C.

Yelp
Little sad about it. We pulled up and were literally the ONLY people in the parking lot and asked if we could bring our tacos in and have a beer. The guy turned down the one paying customer he had over us eating tacos in an empty brewery. Not great business. We usually order a pizza and at least 3 rounds here and tonight What's on Tap will be getting our money. Flexibility is important if you want to stay in business guys! Good luck.
google avatar

Rob G.

Yelp
I've been here several times, always enjoyed the beer. Nice people, though one of the owners is a bit on the grumpy side.
google avatar

Mickey H.

Yelp
Awesome beer! Great vibe. A must go to brewery. They really put a lot of hard work, love and care into brewing great beers! Cheers to Brutal Beerworks!

Douglas R.

Yelp
I feel incredibly fortunate to have this awesome and innovative brewery so close to me. I've enjoyed every beer that I've had from them. They make some especially good IPAs though. My favorite so far is Feed the Beast, a NEIPA brewed with Lucky Charms. I also really enjoyed their pumpkin stout, Gourdzilla. The brewery itself is small, but nice. The employees are always super nice. There is a projector, so you can hang out and watch football games and otherwise. There is small area for kids to play. I think this brewery has a very bright future. I'm hoping they can one of their amazing hazies soon!
google avatar

Ben H.

Yelp
This beer garden/micro brewery has the most amazing beers and the best atmosphere I have experienced in a while! My kids love it here, they are very family friendly. My daughter actually requests to go there every night. They are super friendly here and always willing to serve and answer questions about their products. Oh! You can also get 32 oz cans of their tap beers to go! So cool!
google avatar

Joshua A.

Yelp
The best combination of some EXOTIC beers. Great service and great staff! Try it and don't be shocked when you fall in love.
google avatar

Marc M.

Yelp
Amazing choice of beers. Owners are great. Lots of choices that will amaze you. A must stop if you like beer.

Elijah B.

Yelp
I always look forward to good sours but this place has yet to deliver and wayyyy over priced for their to-go beers. Their latest gusher beer is just as bad as the Berry sour they had last halloween. They need to keep working at it until they decide to put out to the public. The flavor quality is average and there is absolutely no carbonation that should be there in any standard beer. I will not be purchasing from them ever again

Gerri S.

Yelp
OMG.... I'm a total beer snob & this place is awesome. All the beers I've had have been perfect. Favors really pop. Variety changes quickly which is good & bad. Not an IPA girl but even enjoyed a couple here.

Will V.

Yelp
Went in there last weekend. Beer was great and staff was super cool. Plus it's right by my house. Definitely be going back
