The 27 Best Breweries in Denver | Eater Denver

"This Midtown destination (with a second location in Cheesman Park) excels at — while putting its own super-smart spin on — a wide range of Belgian styles. Come for the Getting Witty With It, a lavender- and bergamot-infused witbier, or the spelt-centric saison Till the Earth; stay for the Diabloupe, a golden strong ale brewed with Rocky Ford cantaloupe, or the Champagne-style Brut La Grande; leave with a bottle of the fruited grisette Petite Peaches or the whiskey barrel–aged sour quadrupel Redwood Grand." - Eater Staff

This bruz is the best, colfax doesn't have anything on this place 🥰 the wonderful gentleman that is always working here with fantastic green glasses is always so awesome to my husband and I, and we love having talks with him. They treat you like family and there is always doggies here and it's kiddo friendly

Google
Great beer (we love finding Belgian beer spots!) Plus, you can’t beat a brewery that allows dogs inside for those rainy or hot days.

Marcus

Google
Bruz makes the best Belgian beers you can find in Colorado and some of the best beers period. The brewery has a great atmosphere, with wonderful service, and fun events. I'd highly recommend one of their beer tastings to get an overview of the many styles of Belgian beer.

Google
Amazing, tasty, mellow, knowledgeable beer brewery! We were able to try dark logger, which tasted nice. We also had the brood root beer which was tasty and sweet. We came on a Friday night when we could’ve gotten a cheaper flight of beers, but didn’t need any extra alcohol for the ride home. We came to see a beautiful display of art here which is shown in my photos. I have also included the menu QR code so that you can check out their menu. We appreciated the multiple options for seating and the wide open spaces and also the knowledgeable bartenders. It was also nice to just walk up to the bar whenever you needed anything, and otherwise you weren’t disturbed.

Google
Great beer!!!! The IPA was outstanding, as was the quad. The Sour was very tarter but I would prefer a little more of the Blackberry fruit flavor. Dog friendly and great service! Can't wait to goback!

Andrew Jreige

Google
The brewery has an awesome atmosphere. Nice and spacious. Ordering anything is done from a single area at the bar rather than table service which I'm fine with but I do wonder what that's like on busier days. There's a good selection of Belgian beers and I'd be happy to come back to try more. Prices are also reasonable for what you can order. Oh and it's dog friendly! Doggos everywhere!

Google
I always have an incredible time as a regular here. I’ve been in the neighborhood for over a year and have so many amazing things to say about all staff and the community of regulars there. i do want to give a particular shout-out to Brendon, who’s new here and offered an exceptional service and environment and has been incredibly kind to my dog Bentley!

Google
I love Bruz Beers! I must admit to being predisposed towards the Belgian beer styles but Bruz really knocks it out of the park with their traditional and americanized Belgian brewing. The taphouse is very modern and chic with plenty of space for adults, kids and dogs alike! Staff are super friendly with extensive knowledge of beer manufacturing and flavor characteristics. They have a consistent weekly rotation of food trucks so Bruz Beers is a complete artisan brewing experience; bring friends and family here you want to impress!

Yelp
Popped in for a break during errands to enjoy a libation. Bruz is always solid. They have a parking lot out back with plenty of space. The staff is great and the whole place has a welcoming vibe. I love my dark beers. The Czech Dark Lager hit it. At 4.8% it was light and still gave me the malty goodness of a dark beer at the same time. Bruz is known for their Belgian style beers. If that is your jam, this is the place to be.

Yelp
Really fun place to go hang out and try a few Belgian Ales. While not a beer person, the vibe this place was giving off had me trying a couple of tasters. The Sours were not for me, but I did like the Diablo Colorado which was tasty and full of apple, pear, and honey flavors. With the sidecar special they have on Saturdays, I was able to try a small taster of Dame Blanche for $1. Also good, but I think I like the label for it more. Staff was really nice and very knowledgeable. Hilarious that a brewery shares a space with a local montessori school as well. Ha!
google avatar

Edie A.

Yelp
Had a chill experience at Bruz Beers at their brewery tasting room. There is a ton of seating inside and out, and it is dog-friendly. Bruz specializes in Belgian Ales. You can get tasters or dive into a full glass. On Saturdays, have a sidecar special--a $1 4-ounce pour of your choice for every full draft purchase. The staff is friendly and happy to serve up the ales. The sours were fun, but I like that type of ale. The peach pistachio was full of Palisade peaches, and the Whoa Blackberry was exactly that. The 2021 Whiskey Cooper's Stout is the way to go for a heavier ale.

Yelp
Hundreds of Hops self-guided US Hop Passport Brewery Tour The BOGO Hop Passport offer brought us in & we were very pleased with the establishment and the offerings - however, the math didn't math on the deal, falling short on the discount by a few bucks. It wasn't a huge deal, as we would have bought these drinks at full price. Still, feel it's worth mentioning... Definitely a treat to hhit up a specialty brew stop

Yelp
Great beers! We had the Vienna Lager last and Dame Blanche wheat beer. Both excellent beers, great service, comfortable atmosphere.

Yelp
Bruz makes fantastic belgian-style beers. I am particularly partial to the Dubbel & Quad. I love when they add chiles to the Diablo in the summer. They have bottle releases great for cellaring and bottle shares. The tasting room is great. There are wondeful, friendly folks behind the bar and there is lots of space to bring friends. They often have food trucks and there is a brick and mortar restaurant next door. They also have frozen pizzas and snacks available. Bruz has great events. The cheese & beer pairings are a lot of fun. And, they host the best beer festival I have been to this year. It isn't oversold, there is plenty of space and the lines aren't too long. You will rarely, if ever, find parking out front. There is a free parking lot behind the brewery that is big enough that I've never had a problem finding a spot.

Yelp
Bruz Beers = Belgian or Belgian-inspired Beers! By happy accident, we stopped into this cute brewery. It has a great industrial chic vibe inside with a cute and quaint patio outside ~ amble seating for any sized party! Plus, they have very happy and genuine bartenders that will help you select a beer from their wide-variety (about 17 when we went!). It's a brewery that definitely has something for everyone. We did a flight, which was a blast! I'd recommend it for any first timers, because you'll be able to try and discover what you like. We appreciated every single beer, especially the Hellraiser. Going back? Oui, Ja and Ja! That's "yes, yes and yes" in French, German and Dutch. The three official languages of Belgium. (:
google avatar

Annette T.

Yelp
Belgian style beers in a cool space. My partner and I shared a flight and every beer was top notch. We sat outside on the patio since it was a nice day, and were tempted to get a pizza to share from the food truck. We did. It was delicious paired with our beer. If you want Belgian style beers, this is the place to go.

Yelp
Dog friendly, live music, and great beer? This place has all my favorite things. Love the comfortable furniture and the friendly bar tender. We tried the fruited Belgians, which were both good, although the raspberry lime blonde was a tad tart (but not too sour). We also enjoyed the Long Day Tripel, which had some serious body to it and an almost baked good flavor on the back end. The Diablo was excellent also. All the way we around we had a great time and enjoyed our beers. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Yelp
The Colfax location knows I cheated on them. To be fair, this Bruz Beers is closer to where I live. Came here with some friends and didn't realize how massive this brewery is. There was even a private arts & crafts event happening. We chose to sit on the outdoor patio before relocating to some couches inside when it got too chilly. Plenty of parking in the lot. I tried a few things, including the table beer, as well as the Tripel and Peach Sour. Those two would go well together in the same glass, now that I think about it. Bartenders are fantastic. Vibes are high energy. Bruz is on my list of favorites in Denver. I've never had a beer at either location I didn't like. It's mostly hilarious that this one shares space with a daycare.
google avatar

Yelp
Do you like Belgian beers? Then come here. You don't like Belgian beers? You should probably come here anyway. They have all the tried and true Belgian styles that fans enjoy. They also like to bend the rules and push the envelope and come up with some pretty amazing concoctions. For the less than adventurous, you can still find some very approachable table beers, or lagers. But, if you want to really indulge your palate, you need to be trying some things like their Quad, or their Diablo Fuego, or one of their really memorable, sour or wild Belgian styles.

Geoffrey P.

Yelp
Great beers. Went with my wife and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the Girl Scout cookie beer pairings. Definitely will return

Kay L.

Yelp
Good Beer. Bad Customer Service. Bruz is located in a nice family neighborhood but has recently begun to push away its families. Boo Bruz!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is awesome. Great bar tenders. Great beer. Good food truck selection. They always have events going on. Perfect neighborhood brewery.

Yelp
This is definitely one of my favorite breweries in Denver, if not Colorado. Large space, including bar, patio, and large tables for lots of peeps. They have regular delicious food trucks posted up outside (or bring your own eats). They have their own parking lot or street parking. They have a wide variety of beers (specializing in Belgian beers). Everytime I have been, there are multiple beers I find that I like. One of their seasonal beers I love, is the Beet Down Saison, which is a farmhouse ale made with beets from their garden. No it doesn't taste like beets, it's just delicious! Service is always helpful and friendly. It's a very neighborhood spot with many regulars, family friendly, and probably the most dog friendly brewery I have been to. Cheers!

Doug G.

Yelp
Really good place too have a wonderfully made Belgian craft brew, fun place too meet up with friends also!

Yelp
Drink beer here! So glad I had the chance to drop by this spot on my visit to Denver, I had done some research and found this spot from online reviews, and the beer options didn't disappoint! What initially drew me here were their Belgian style brews, which I was very excited to try. Out of the 16 or so options they offered, I ended up trying the Right Hand Man Pils, Raspberry Lemonade Blonde and Kiwi Grapefruit Blond. Each beer had a distinct and balanced profile, I was very impressed. The malt/hops ratio hit a comfortable note in the pilsner, and in both the fruitier beers the individual fruit and malt characters blended for a refreshing but not overwhelming summer splash. All the beers were served from tap, along the back wall behind the main bar. From the massive brewing tanks and racks of barrels in the back area of the brewery, it looks like a good amount of beer is brewed here. It's always inspiring to see the craftsmanship in work for artisanal food and drink products, it gives you even more appreciation for the skill and work that goes into creating each glass. The staff was courteous and the overall experience was great--I would love to come back next time I'm in Denver! Covid notes: masks were not required but the indoor space was very open and integrated with the outdoor patio space wrapping around the front of brewery, so overall felt okay. The tables were spaced enough apart that it felt safer.

Yelp
Bruz is a good brewery with very tasty and in some cases slightly off the beaten path. For one you don't come across Czech Dark Lagers much but they had one here. It was very tasty and it was fun to try something different. Same goes for their Mulberry Wit beer which was refreshing and of course... fun to have a glass of. But of course Steve and I like the more traditional beers too especially if it's a good recipe and Bruz has just what we were looking for regarding this with their pilsner! After trying a few of their beers I had to go poke around with their merchandise and got a great hoodie from here which is proving to be very comfortable as more brewery adventures unfolded.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, nice staff, friendly to everyone and animals too!! The beer was awesome as well
google avatar

Kristi M.

Yelp
Cool little neighbor spot! I love that they have a rotating food truck out front. The bartender wasn't the friendliest but the space was nice and large with plenty of seating. The sour red ale aged on peaches was pretty tasty!

Sammy P.

Yelp
Beer selection is average. Customer service bellow average. Recommend New Terrain Brewing instead.
google avatar

Yelp
This dog-friendly Belgian brewery is a pretty cool neighborhood spot. Despite the possible apparence of being a snobby or possibly inaccessible bougie place, I think many would enjoy Bruz. Others on this site have remarked how laid back and relaxed the environment is and how chill the staff is. They are very knowledgeable about their beers, many of which have French names and styles that non-beer aficionados might not know. I got the creatively marketed Girl Scout cookie and beer pairing special for $20. I like everything I tried and actually thought the pairing worked quite well. It's also something I've never seen at a brewery before so props for that. The beer samples came in 4 different small pours with my favorite probably being the maile ale, but the gargoyle or the same Blanche were close seconds. You then get to order a full size beer of any of the samples. I also tried the triple, which was good, but too rich for me.

Yelp
I. Am. Obsessed! In the area for a friends birthday with an hour to kill, the hubs and I figured a beer was in order. Having heard the buzz on this brewery, I knew we had to try it - and sure glad we did! Here goes: STAR # 1 = The brews are fantastic - and belgian style! Having been to Belgium, I was excited to try their creations! We started with a flight of 5 to sample a variety before ordering a pint. We opted for the Brut, Chalice, Diablo, Blond and one featuring kombucha - all of which were delicious, crisp and truly one of a kind! I fell in love with the Brut - as it was tart and bubbly - just like champagne! It arrived in a tall champagne glass, with a truffle on a little tray - talk about fancy AF! The hubs ordered a pint of the chalice and was not disappointed! STAR # 2 = The space is gorgeous with modern touches throughout, creating the most inviting atmosphere! I love the subway tiles above the taps, vintage stools at the bar, long community and little tables and the exposed brewing equipment! The tv's at the bar top make for the perfect spot to catch the game! The space was decorated for christmas and totally cute! We spotted a table near the entrance to soak the entire place in! START # 3 = Staff is insanely awesome, friendly and can manage a crowd! It's a "order at the bar" type establishment and both beertenders were incredibly easygoing, even with the amount of people at the bar! Both kept their smiles and engaged with patrons like they were family! STAR # 4 = While Bruz doesn't have a kitchen of its' own, they offer little snacks for purchase. Best part? Food trucks and the coffee shop next door serve up delicious eats brought right to your bar stool! We ordered the nachos, which were fresh, delicious and totally hit the spot! Also allowed - bringing in your own food! STAR # 5 = Pricing is on point and doesn't break the bank! The flight of 5 and two brews was a mere $25! Check in on the Yelp app and receive 20% off your order! All the YAS! While we aren't in the area very often, I'd make a special trip back to this truly awesome brewery! Cheers!
google avatar

Peter G.

Yelp
Super cool location with tons of seating, indoor and outdoor. They pretty much just have Belgian beers but there is a good variety of kinds. We tried the Czech Dark Lager and Washed Moon White IPA and enjoyed them. Bonus, if you are luckily enough to get the couch, it's super comfortable.
google avatar

Sara C.

Yelp
I LOVE Belgium style beers and I'm so happy the one and only Belgium style brewery in Denver is 5 mins away from my house! (Talk about 20 mins walk from home, no uber needed!) Bruz has been partnering up with different food truck since inception and now the backstage restaurant/coffee shop/bar opened up next door, there are many selection that can be paired really well with beers from Bruz. My personal favorite is onion rings as a snack from next door with some lighter fare of Dame Blanche or even if you just want to hang with your cool friends but is on an alcohol diet, there is kombucha selections on draft that you can order as well. Their gear - tee/hoodies are also made with great materials and love how heavy the men's hoodies are! Thumb holes are a must! This is def a community brewery and since it's not part of Denver county, you can bring your beloved puppies into the brew, they are welcomed here with you! Woof woof!
google avatar

Tom K.

Yelp
Mellow brew pub with a variety of seating areas, including an inviting patio. Over a dozen on-tap Belgian ales range from a 4% ABV session beer to a 15% stout. There are just a handful of snacks, but you can bring in your own eats. The bartender provides friendly service (seemingly single-handedly!) and the Wednesday night trivia master is challenging and entertaining.
google avatar

Greg W.

Yelp
The Beers, the music, the food, AND TRIVIA?! All on a Wednesday night?! Yea, the vibes are here y'all! 10/10 would recommend to a friend!
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
Went to this brewery on a Saturday afternoon. It was our first time there. We had a Groupon. And we will def go back. Plus they are dog friendly with lots of tables and open space. They had 12 beers on tap. It would of been 13 but one was kicked. All of the beers were amazing! The Atlas and Hellraiser were awesome! All of the beers were so delicious! So much flavor and variety. We love Belgian beers and they are so tasty. The bartenders were very friendly. I recommend this place to all Belgian beer lovers. Cheers!
google avatar

JJ O.

Yelp
Always a good time. I Have had a b-day here, you can bring the dogs, eat from the food truck, or grab a cheap pizza.
google avatar

Jesse K.

Yelp
In search of some brews to quench our thirst, my wife found Bruz Beers, which sits in a nice, peaceful neighborhood and specializes in saisons. They have some alternative saison options and canned beers as well. The vibe was on point with nice tunes playing in the background as we sipped some refreshing beers and hung out on the patio. This place is very dog friendly, and also has cool artwork hanging for sale. A new go-to spot of ours in our local area!
google avatar

Ivan N.

Yelp
Not a fan of Belgian Beer. I'm not a beer fanatic either... I wouldn't know what's what. At least the beer taste cleaner then the artisan beer I had at the Source. They both have similar style of taste. The stars are general for the beautiful location, the cleanliness, the service and the friendly environment. Got a flight... Saturinis Grissette Hell Blondy and Atlas My fave of the 5 was Hell then Atlas Second

Jonas C.

Yelp
Good beer overall. A lot of room so there are generally seats open. They allow hounds inside, also cool.
google avatar

Hector B.

Yelp
Initial loved this place. Great beers and great service. I drove a hour to drink more of their beer but this time :( It's a daycare! I had to deal with screaming kids, crying kids, kids riding bikes around... kids pounding on the pinball games. Parents not parenting! The whole event was beyond horrible! Been here an hour and more and more kids! This is a daycare, not a brewery!
google avatar

Maggie F.

Yelp
3stars based on my experience at the brew fest. For $50 a pop I expected more. Only about 9 beer vendors serving ip around 3 oz tastings. The was live music but that was mostly gravy to the event. For the price we paid, I would have liked a T-shirt or some free food options.
google avatar

Deya Z.

Yelp
We typically stop by this place late at night - 8 pm-ish and it's always a great atmosphere. Chill and reasonably priced, it's somewhere I wish we thought of more often! It has great seating both indoors and out. The beers themselves are fantastic Belgian style brews. We stopped by during the 1st game of the Stanley Cup & Houston Vs Cavs; for being a brewery with TVs it's was pretty quiet so the staff member on site was incredibly friendly, getting to know folks and offering some great pour suggestions.

Larry H.

Yelp
Very clean, great people, and employees were very helpful. Would recommend this place for a beer and trivia night.
google avatar

Cherie C.

Yelp
If not for Groupon, I might never have ventured to Bruz Beers. I love Belgian beers, so this sounded just my speed. It's in the Midtown development, which is far from home, so we drove. That meant that I only took a sip from each taster in our two flights. We tried a lot of beer (10 in all). The ones we chose ended up being pretty high ABV--at least too high for me to enjoy any more than a sip if I was going to drive. We got some food from the truck outside (Falafil King was really good). There are dog treats--there were a few well-behaved pups in attendance--made from spent grain and even "entrees" for dogs offered by the brewery. The bistro next store is also a good option for human food to help you absorb those big beers you're drinking. The space is big, and there is a parking lot behind them. That makes it an attractive option for a gathering. I've suggested it as a good place for a happy hour event, since my employer invites people who drive large trucks to our events.
google avatar

Travis C.

Yelp
I signed up for a brewery bus tour without knowing where we would be stopping. I can't believe how lucky I was when we stopped at Bruz. I am a fan of Belgian beers and after one look at the menu I knew i just hit the jackpot. I ended up trying half the menu and everything was great; the blonde, amber ale, ipa and double were my favorites. If you are Belgian fan this is a must stop. In addition Charlie, owner/brew master of Bruz, came to our table and overviewed each beer we sampled and answered questions. Really a great experience all around at Bruz, I just wish I lived a little closer to the tasting room.
google avatar

Marissa M.

Yelp
I'm on a mission to try as many beers at as many breweries in Denver as possible. HA! This place did not disappoint. The atmosphere was laid back and cozy. It was family friendly and had PLENTY of seating. I really enjoy Belgian style beers and I think they nailed it. My favorite was their Donker Enkel- Delish!!

Charles T.

Yelp
Awesome craft brew pub!!! Great beers and service!!! The band was awesome!! Great pizza from the food truck
google avatar

Erica Signe K.

Yelp
The atmosphere is really nice for having a couple beers after work. They allow dogs inside which is also a bonus. Large selection of beers, mostly high in alcohol. Most are solid beers but nothing really stood out. Will definitely return.
google avatar

Shane T.

Yelp
Friendly staff more than willing to discuss beer or shoot the shit any time of day. Good selection of Belgian style beers with great afternoon patio.
google avatar

Lee S.

Yelp
this is probably the cleanest brewery I have ever been in. Not that other breweries are dirty- they are just more rustic, or a lot of wood-- this brewery had subway tiles and sleek designs. It was a great change of scenery. My friend got the Brut La Grande that is like a champagne beer served with a chocolate truffle- she got 3 of them-- I tried it and it was delicious. They have a great selection of beers- bunch of different flavors! Great brewery- will definitely be back!
google avatar

Ly V.

Yelp
I'm glad they opened up in my neighborhood. The staff is always friendly, attentive and informative. They take the time to answer any questions you have. They don't serve food here, but allow you to bring your own food or have food ordered there. There are food trucks that come there daily, so There's a new menu every day. The beer is solid and they have a long list of beer, so you'll be sure to find something that suits your taste. Dog friendly, they have a few pin ball machines and several TVs for games. I love this place!
google avatar

Jackie M.

Yelp
Rather disappointed in this brewery. I moved here a couple years ago and live super close so I used to come in often. The beer and service was good! Last I went in, the beer wasn't the best..it was gross. Other ppl in the restaurant left full and half full beers on the table...not good considering there are a lot of breweries to choose from in this area. I haven't been back in a while and it sucks having to drive to other breweries bc you guys are so close. Maybe I'll come in again...but idk if I want to risk it.. I also just got spammed by your square service telling me I have 3 stars?? Whatever that means..

Eric S.

Yelp
I used to think I didn't like Belgian beers until I started going to Bruz. Now that I know what REAL Belgian beer tastes like, I cannot get enough! The staff is amazing and they have done a great job of building up the Midtown community. A true gem 10/10!
google avatar

Jeremy B.

Yelp
Having just moved from the Highlands to the Perl Mack neighborhood, my wife and I anxiously awaiting the opening of Bruz, the only brewery in this part of Denver (hard to believe, right?). It was great! It's a Belgian style brewery, and they seem to stay pretty close to the traditional recipes. I wouldn't mind it if they got a bit more adventurous in the future, but I sampled six of the eight beers on tap and they were all excellent. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Alex T.

Yelp
Bruz is here! There's been a lot of buzz around town about this new spot and the beers they're serving up in one of Denver's most up-and-coming neighborhoods - After attending their Grand Opening celebration this weekend I'm a fan. Really cool space and atmosphere, great craft beers, and the owners are really good people! Make sure to stop by and bring some friends. This place is great for large groups. I love the Belgian Saison and the Dawg Daze IPA. My wife, who doesn't even like beer, LOVED the Kombucha/Witbier mix. Something for everyone.
