The Best Sandwiches For A Park Picnic - New York - The Infatuation
"Margon is one of Times Square’s most reliable lunch spots, and they make an exceptional Cubano with a hidden-weapon layer of salami. The pernil is super juicy and just a little bit sweet, and it’s best eaten next to the fountain in Bryant Park just a few blocks away." - willa moore, will hartman, bryan kim, sonal shah
Awesome park in Albany right on the river. Perfect for senior photos and family photos, I will definitely be taking more clients here for sessions because there is so many different areas! All of the trees look amazing here in the fall! There are a lot of walking paths and a road that loops around the whole area. There's also a really cool area where the train tracks are that looks really neat in the morning when the sun is shining through.
I will definitely be going back!

This park is quite pretty, fairly large, and one end of it is on the river. It is a bit noisy because of the major highway across the river but I notice the lack of quiet more than most because I don't live in a city. There are lots of picnic tables and it even has a covered area near the river with nice aluminum tables.

We had a great time. Plenty of room, parking, and tables.
The bathrooms however are a little discouraging as they were only 2 portable outhouses.
The lights did not turn on either and so many of us had to utilize our cell phone lights to see, I even turned my rigs headlights on to try and light up the area so we could see better.
But other then that we always have had a great time when we reserved our picnic area.

Parked here so we could listen to Colin Raye in Montieth Park River rhythms. Thurs Aug 7 2025. Can't see the stage but it sounds great and no crowds.

Beautiful park, lots of space for just about anything you would want to do. There is a baseball field, disc golf, places to walk, a childrens playground and ample amounts of parking. I was very surprised about how clean the park was too. Can't wait to take my daughter again.

Bryant park is part is a big part of my childhood and now part of my kids childhood. its a big open park with some decent play equipment and fun bike trails. they now have Frisbee golf which seems to always have people playing. they have a covered area that you can rent for events and such. lots of picnic tables and permanent bbqs if you want to use those. they have a couple big softball diamonds that in the summer you can come and watch or maybe even join a team and play yourself. overall this is a great park to come to. on the off side, there are at times an over abundance of homeless that use this park. i have never had any issues, but nonetheless the trash always seems full and the porta potty is always dirty. the bathrooms are pretty far away from the park which is a hassle and always seem to be closed. not sure if its a winter thing or not. but usually the park is closed in the winter anyways.

It was pretty darn good. Hats off to USA Softball for a well ran tournament. Special shout out to Albany Parks and Rec for keeping the fields professionally maintained and safe. The park was beautiful for the tournament. Thanks!

Open grass areas. Tons of paths and a disc golf course to follow. Plenty of parking. Fee free park.
Baseball area was locked up for the season. Tons of leaves and mud to slip on this time of year so wear your weather boots/shoes.
