Chef Kevin Tien Announces a Permanent New Location for His Dearly Missed Moon Rabbit | Eater DC

"Tien temporarily revived Moon Rabbit this summer at Northeast’s new Bryant St Market with a pared-down menu of its hit dishes primarily to keep staff employed; that pop-up project will soon phase out as the team prepares to open the permanent Penn Quarter location." - Tierney Plumb

The Most Anticipated Spring Restaurant Openings to Track Around D.C. | Eater DC

"This new 12,400-square-foot Northeast food hall near the Rhode Island Avenue Metro will house nine vendors, including Taqueria Habanero and Bar Alegria (a 26-seat offshoot of the Habanero family’s Tequila & Mezcal), plus Blowfish Poke and Tiger Sugar, and will be part of a rapidly expanding Bryant Street development that will also add a Kraken Kourts pickleball pad this spring." - Tierney Plumb

A food court right by the @metrobardc, @alamodrafthousedc, @experiencekraken and more. You can get Boba, adult beverage and food. The food I had was delicious. A very laid back and comfortable place.

Plenty of seating. Great area to beat the heat and get a bomb frozen margarita. Good variety of food too. The mango salmon tacos and Sudanese baba ganoush were fantastic!

Bryant St. Market Food Hall qualifies as a local DC hidden gem in my book. It’s tucked away among condos and the Rhode Island Ave. metro walkway. I stumbled across this charming food hall after going to The Art of the Brick LEGO exhibit about a block or so away. Bryant St. Market has multiple entrances at either end. One from the Rhode Island Ave. Metro side and the other from the side near the Alamo cinema drafthouse. There is plenty of seating throughout. One side is more like a lounge with sofas and moody lighting. There are multiple options at Bryant St. Market. Several places caught my eye. There is poke, fried chicken, Mexican, Asian dumplings and more. Bryant St. Market is a vibrant and visually engaging space. The ambience is nice and cozy. It looks like a comfortable place to work or just hang out. I ended up having one of the best sandwiches from the Grassfed Griddle, which I’ll rave more in detail about in a separate review. It was DELICIOUS, so much so that I would go back to Bryant St. Market JUST to have this sandwich again! Another bonus for the Bryant St. Market is the murals inside and around the market. That could be a cool mini turn by itself: I noticed as I was walking around the market scoping the murals that there is a back patio to the market. I can imagine if there’s a fire pit, it’s nice in the winter as well as the summer. Other reasons why Bryant St. Market is a hidden gem in my book is its proximity to several other fun attractions that are within walking distance including the following: *Alamo Drafthouse Cinema * metrobar * Art of the Brick & Claude Monet Immersive Experiences * Kracken - pickleball and roller skating rink If you make your way over to Bryant St. Market, enjoy!

This Tiger Sugar location is a disgrace. I got the green tea with milk, boba, regular sugar, regular ice- there was no milk, tea was super watered down (no tea flavor), and boba was so soft it was falling apart, ew. Bold Dumpling: got combination plate and a starter of scallion pancakes. Skip the scallion pancakes; no scallions, not enough salt in the batter. The dumplings and bao in the combination plate were fine but not knock your socks off.

The only thing good is the Habanero Taco spot and bar. The bubble tea is a disgrace, the dumpling spot isn’t that great and the spot with the “mochi donuts” never has donuts. It’s a beautiful place with many nasty eateries. Just stick to the tacos and a drink.

Good food options, but the music is too loud. This place needs an HOA. Multiple restaurants within the market play their own music in addition to the market itself playing music. So you hear three types of music clashing while eating. Allegria is the most egregious.

We got boba from Tiger Sugar and 2 regular poke bowls to share with 2 adults and one kid. It was a lot of food, because they give unlimited toppings. I love fresh greens and veggies so I chose almost all the toppings. It was $16/ bowl and I shared with my 9 year old daughter and we were both so full. It was our first time visiting this area and there were not many food options that interested us around this area, so this seemed like the best option.

Great news lace to get different food. Somewhat reminds me of a small food hub as there are several different places to eat within. I’m still not sure how I feel about the area as a whole being as though I’ve lived in DC the majority of my life so it def feels gentrified but nonetheless it’s a cool place to hang with your friends and sample a nice variety of food.
