Bryggargatan Bistro och Bar – A Standout Dining Experience in Skellefteå Easily one of the top dining spots—if not the top—in Skellefteå. The food is fresh, local, and full of creativity, with thoughtful touches that elevate the whole experience. I dropped in on a Tuesday evening and was seated quickly. I was looked after by Meya and Philmon, who struck that perfect balance of friendly and professional. They clearly knew the menu well and offered great suggestions throughout the evening. The complimentary bread? A revelation. Like a little spiced cupcake, warm and fluffy, paired perfectly with a flavorful compound butter. For starters, I had two beautifully cooked scallops served with a creamy sauce and a crisp little croquette—pro tip: mop it all up with that delicious bread. The steak “sandwich” was unlike anything I’ve had before. Think creamy, almost avocado-textured sauce, cured steak, and a biscuit base. It was bold, inventive, and seriously tasty. Just when I thought the evening couldn’t get better, the team surprised me with a complimentary non-alcoholic drink—Vista Vinbar—which was refreshing and a lovely finishing touch. All in all, an outstanding experience that mixes finesse with warmth. Bryggargatan deserves all the praise it gets—and then some.

This is a place I recommend if you want to go to a nice restaurant in Skellefteå. However, I don't know about the taste of the food. I ordered steak and truffle pasta. The steak was not rested, and the truffle pasta was salty, sour, and floury. Because of that, I asked the staff but they didn’t try to communicate with their customer. I was told that truffles are originally like that and that Swedish food is originally salty. Truffles are not sour, and Swedish food is not salty and harmonious. Well-made fresh pasta doesn't taste like flour. It doesn't have to be perfect. At least I hope they don't blame the customers who can't eat poorly cooked food.

A real gem. Just lovely food and a servieminded and knowledgeable, yet relaxed, staff. Probably the best food I've had outside of Michelin restaurants. We sat outside as it was a warm Summer's day and had the chefs menu.

Good food but not the best service! We took the three meal courses menu. The food was really delicious (little on the salty side for us). For the prices of the dishes and the atmosphere of the restaurant we were expecting a great service. Everything felt a bit rushed. The waitresses looked like they were forced to serve you and they did not give us a nice welcoming. I would appreciate something like a "hi welcome, have you ever been here before?".

It has a nice view of the river of you are lucky to get a window seat. Unfortunately I did not get the window seat that night. The food has hearty flavor which helps one to feel warm and comfort in cold winter weather. The portions are generous for the fish dish. I recommend reserve online first before coming here, as it is a popular place to eat in. I do think if you have no diet restrictions, maybe it's more worth it to get the chef's surprise menu instead so you get to try different things.

My father in law visited from outside the country and we went here, this was some months ago. The experience we had was incredible! Both starters and mains were exquisite. I, being vegetarian, was a bit worried that they would not have anything for me but the summer vegetables with hollandaise were on point. My husband and father in law had the mussels and reindeer respectively. All three of us left feeling full and very happy. Thank you for your wonderful service and food!

Chill atmosphere with amazing food and view. The bread and butter are wonderful. Butter fried Kantareller is full of flavor. The texture of Artic Char and Turbot is perfect.

We were so lucky to have a table even though we hadn’t booked for Saturday night. The staff couldn’t be more welcoming and put us in a window seat in the bar area. Super views. Wine and IPA and reindeer for main meal which was in a lovely rich blackcurrant and port wine sauce. The bread was nice too. Really recommend this place.

We arrived on Saturday night and appreciated the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. I am glad to have received a window seat as this was my father's first visit to Skellefteå.   The menu reads very inspired by local and international, experimental cuisine. My father chose the shrimps as a starter and was impressed with size, quality and presentation. I had the mushroom soup and enjoyed the moss, but would have liked to have more than the hint of mushrooms. Otherwise it was a good soup.   For the main course my father and I were intrigued by the quite experimental combination of pork belly and lamb. The other items on the menu were equally interesting and not necessarily expected in Västerbotten. When we received our dishes, a round plate with enough food on to fit onto less than a quarter of it (2 small pieces of lamb, a single bite of pork belly fat, half a carrot, a piece of parsnip and a tbsp. of an indistinguishable mash) I felt inclined to wait for the sides. If I compared the size of the lamb pieces with a 90 g burger from Korvgubben I could confidently estimate that the amount of meat on the plate was between 70 and 80 g plus a bite of slow cooked pork fat. In hindsight I find the attempt to mix pork and lamb applaudable, but the challenge failed. The taste was with the exception of the parsnip indistinguishable or bland. The amounts served were a good starter size or would have fit into a set seven course menu.   For the dessert I chose the apple kompott. It sounded traditional with a twist, which is why I chose it. The crunch was interesting, but when I ate the desert, I asked myself, why would one try to combine a list of ingredients such long into an everyday husmanskost desert. Again overall the taste was bland with the apples edging complete tastelessness.   I had been looking forward to an excellent dinner as I had a few at your restaurant before, but this time I left wholly disappointed, hungry and 2000 SEK poorer after paying for the three of us.   Skellefteå is a diaspora of restaurant and food quality. Bryggargatan did not stick out.
