B's Salty & Sweet

This place is 10 stars easyyy! They got so much going on, full bakery operation plus a restaurant so there’s so many delicious things to choose from! We stopped on our roadtrip and had the perfect breakfast! Burrito and egg sandwich and great coffee! And of course we had to try the unique nutty chocolaty “Passover toffee bar” yum!! If you’re in the area definitely stop by there, you’ll be happy you did! 😃

B’s is the best! 🙌🏽. Incredible sourdough bread made with Janie’s Mill flour - it’s so hearty with such depth of flavor. Also, their pastries are to die for - especially the almond croissants! 🤤 Coffee and lattes are always perfectly made and hot so you can enjoy them while looking out the window on Columbia or taking a walk around town.

Love this place! I’m not a vegetarian but every food I’ve tried here is fresh and delicious. Their black bean burger is my favorite lunch. Coffee is also delicious, especially their tahini white mocha 😍 Also a great place to work, as the environment is spacious, WiFi is free, and even when busy it’s not too noisy. We also ordered my daughter’s birthday cake from here and everyone raved about it. David, the owner, is also friendly and very hands-on with customers. Highly recommend giving it a try!

B’s salty and sweet cafe has a laid-back, relaxing atmosphere and a great way to step away from the elements. They have a wide selection of unique drinks and sweets, as well as snacks and specialty food items. I personally enjoyed an Orange Cardamom latte and a gluten-free cupcake, both were delicious. They were sure to ask about and accommodate allergies. The service was fast and the women working were all very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend.

I needed a last minute Thanksgiving carrot cake after plans to pick up a cake from my local bakery fell through. My sweet husband happened to be working in Columbia that day and offered to pick up a cake for me there if I called ahead to order it. Being that it was the day before Thanksgiving, every bakery I called was unable to help me. B's Sweet & Salty was one of the last bakeries I contacted. A polite gentleman named "David" answered the phone and apologetically explained to me that he too could not help me with a carrot cake. I thanked him for his time, but no sooner than I ended the call, David had called me back offering to whip me up a traditional 9" carrot cake that would be ready for pickup in just a few hours! My husband and I go to B’s regularly for vegan food and bakery items. We also use them every year for holiday catering! Everyone is super friendly and accommodating and the food is always fresh and delicious! If you haven’t tried them yet, you’re missing out.

I’m not one to leave reviews but I placed an order through the online ordering system originally for Tuesday at 11:40 am, received an email that it would be ready for pickup on Wednesday at 7:10 am… Considering that time didn’t work for me and there was no option to cancel my order online, I called to cancel my order today when I had some free time. The young lady on the phone was very unprofessional, laughed and told me I was unable to cancel my order or receive a refund because “they had already made it” although admitted there was an issue with their ordering system and confusion on both ends due to this. We still picked up our order & I’m sure the pastries will be great but I will not be returning due to the customer service and lack of online ordering support. Overall, seems like a ready-to-fail first time business and not worth the price or stress over homemade poptarts. Definitely not the place for southern hospitality!

My husband and I came here to get breakfast while waiting for services to be done on our car. We didn’t get a chance to eat any of the food because when I ordered their apple cider French toast, it came with two eggs scrambled which I asked for cheese on my eggs and the person we were giving our order to tells us that the kitchen will not allow her to have cheese put on their eggs. When I asked if I could get cheese on the side so I could put it on my eggs she said that she wasn’t allowed to do that. I don’t even know what that is all about. Who really wants to eat plain scrambled eggs with nothing on them? We left without ordering anything and went to Puckett’s for breakfast.

We stopped in to get a treat today after shopping. The staff was very friendly. I found out that all of their desserts are vegan! We will be back to try out their lunch menu, lots of good looking items to try!

My favorite place to eat, not just in Columbia, but in the entire state! B's is a very unique and wonderfully magical little spot you don't come across often. The food is super high vibe, health conscious, delicious, and prepared with thoughtfulness and love. I always feel nourished and joyfully content after every meal, and I think that's become a rare experience when eating out these days. The owners and staff are truly kind and lovely human beings, and it's always a joy for me to see their faces when I walk in the door and am greeted like family. You make breakfast something to look forward to! Thank you

It's always a joy to walk into B's. Each day they have a special menu item - always a treat. If you make it on the tamale pie day, order it! I love their granola, and their salads are fantastic. Try the hummus and cheddar crackers - delish! My favorite go-to is the chorizo pop tarts. Christine, the manager is a lovely person and takes such good care of her customers.

Excellent!! My milk allergy usually prevents me from finding a yummy sweet at a bakery. To my delight, B's has a whole shelf of vegan options. I had the Apple cider cupcake and loved it so much I bought some to-go! I also took home the chocolate cupcake with coffee icing and I was not disappointed. Very moist and fresh even on day 2. The staff is very friendly and obviously knowledgeable about their awesome products. Thanks Christine! Wish we didn't live 2000 miles away!

I stopped for lunch for my favorite grain bowl and they had baked fresh pecan cinnamon rolls, Yummy! These are some of the Best cinnamon rolls I have put in my mouth. Don't miss a chance to taste some yummy on your taste buds!

Bakery and eatery for lunch and breakfast. Every meal includes a vegan option. Sweets and snacks are so delicious and made with the best ingredients. Sliced sourdough is the real thing.

CARB LOVERS OF COLUMBIA REJOICE! B's is here to fulfill your every gluten-filled fantasy! True to my word, I had to go back 2 days in a row. The siren song of almond croissants was too strong to resist. Sadly I missed the croissants (the secret is out?) but snagged poppyseed Hamamtaschen and raspberry cream cheese babka. **the Hamamtaschen was one of the greatest things I've put in my mouth** Perfect balance of flavors and sweetness. Pure poppyseed perfection. The babka was excellent for Saturday breakfast. It's a shame for my waistline that I live 5 mins away!

Amazing amazing everything is delicious here!!! The staff is amazing and friendly. This is one of the best bakeries I have ever been to. My husband and I travel around the US I can easily say this is one of the best we have been to in the US.

Had the most DELICIOUS (and vegan!) lunch ever today! Such a great little place and the employees were just delightful. Can't wait to eat here again!

Quite literally the most delicious buckwheat Pancakes I've ever had! The staff is so sweet and you can tell they put a lot of TLC into their menu

We had a vegan quiche and the walnut pancakes. It is such great value for the price, definitely recommend trying them. There are also, of course, tons of vegan cookies and little cakes for $1.75 to $3.50 each, great deal!

LOVE B's!! The almond croissant is literally from heaven. Friendly service and delicious food - great combo!

I was visiting the area from Chicago and went to B's for some treats. I am used to being in a city with a ton of amazing food, so I wasn't sure what to expect - but this place was GREAT! The chocolate babka was incredible. The homemade crackers were so light and good. I keep waiting for them to do cross-country shipping so I can get more babka! It's worth a stop when in town - I know I'll be back.

B's is the best bakery around, no question! Everything we've had has been fantastic and the owners are so friendly and attentive. We have regularly visited on Fridays to purchase their challah bread and rarely are we able to leave without some of their delicious pop-tarts, babka, cookies, or sweet rolls in hand as well. Some of our favorites include the chorizo and cheddar, curry vegetable, and apple pop-tarts; the triple ginger, peanut butter, and B's cookies; and their variety of babka. Recently we ordered a peppermint bark chocolate cake to celebrate a family birthday and it was not only beautiful, it was one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. It was such a special treat for a December birthday!
