During my visit to Galimbur, I decided to have dinner at Bubba Gump, mainly because I’m a big fan of Forrest Gump and have watched the movie many times. We arrived around 7:00 pm and the restaurant was quite busy. While waiting for our table, we explored the gift shop located downstairs, which has a great selection of themed items and really sets the Forrest Gump vibe from the start. Once seated, my companion ordered the shrimp ceviche, which was delicious and tasted very fresh. I ordered the BBQ pork ribs, and they were excellent very tender, full of flavor, and well served with fries. Despite the restaurant being full, the service was fast and efficient The place is filled with Forrest Gump memorabilia, making the atmosphere fun and immersive. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. Good food, great theme, quick service, and reasonable prices. A solid option if you’re visiting Galimbur, especially if you’re a Forrest Gump fan.

We had an awesome experience at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in Gatlinburg! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. The service was fast, friendly, and full of that fun Forrest Gump personality the restaurant is known for. The food was absolutely delicious—everything tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned. The shrimp dishes were the highlight (as expected!) but the entire menu had great options. Our drinks came out quickly, and everything from the appetizers to the entrée was spot-on. The atmosphere is lively and full of great movie memorabilia, which makes the whole experience even more fun. The location is also perfect, right in the middle of Gatlinburg with great views and an easy walk to everything. If you’re in town and want good food, great service, and a fun dining experience, Bubba Gump in Gatlinburg is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

We love Bubba Gump! We came here for lunch and was seated right away. Our waitress was really funny. Boil was great and so was the Mahi Mahi with shrimp! Merch is always funny and cute. Definitely recommend!

This place is a lot of fun and they have a lot of cool things from the movie. Everything tasted was absolutely delicious and well cooked and or mixed. The service is very friendly and very knowledgeable about any inquiries that arise. The garlic bread was insanely delicious and the gumbo was top notch! Very kid friendly and overall just a great experience.

Excellent service, the waiter referred some some excellent choices. Had a very nice appetizer and three different kinds of shrimp all of which were great. It didn't have a super tourist vibe like I expected

The food had good flavor and we were very pleased. If you're a fan of Forrest Gump then you'll have a good time here. The service was quick and staff was friendly. Best to make a reservation online especially if it's a busy time. They also have a souvenir shop with some cool things.

Staff is super friendly. There was no waiting time, which is rare for a Bubba Gump. We all loved the food and the kids love the popcorn shrimp.

To start, my wife and celebrated her 40th birthday and our 20th year anniversary last week. Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge was our choice because it has always been our favorite anniversary spot. We have dawned Bubba Gumps nearly every city in the south but mostly here at Gatlinburg. Its a staple in every visit the past 20 years and likely won't make the cut for several to follow. Bubba Gump is iconic for servers testing you in the movie trivia, sometimes using quotes from the movie while working, and of course, I've never been to a Gumps without the movie's amazing playlist rocking speakers. We literally got none of that, which was so disappointing because her and I are competitive, pride ourselves on Gump knowledge, as pointless as that is, its important to us. I've worked in hospitality 8 years, they weren't busy and weren't understaffed, only 4 tops occupied in the entire upstairs dining, no rush, no excuses... As you can see of the captions, we always start with the Hush Puppies, its our kids favorites, they weren't with us but in honor (and a bit of boasting through pics) we enjoyed. Yes! Spot on! First round app was amazing! Piping hot, break apart steam rolling out of each crispy golden fried pup, sauce excellent, we were well on our way to a 5* rating... until meteor struck! Again, no enthusiasm from wait staff, I like a bit of ketchup with my pups so I flipped the stop plate, but Forrest was sure "running full!" at a snails pace passed at least 3 times doing nothing, and once heading back to the wait station to get on her phone. I know what you're thinking, teenager? No, 30 something... but age doesn't matter finally stopped, got ketchup but only to take our order. Wife ordered fish n chips, I typically order Shrimp and Grits, but not available this time of their season :(, figure a Shrimp'n restaurant can't go wrong with a Shrimp pasta classic... Well, that one jumped up and "bit me right in the buttocks". We both love the Shrimp Shack Mac & Cheese so we splurge and grab that to share, though we know we're taking leftovers to the hotel, we still get it. Food comes out, and it was best if it had stayed in the bait house. I'll be brief, but probably not, let's take these one at a time: Shrimp Shack Mac & Cheese - This shrimp migrated from desert land, dry as it looks, not sure if they blanched noodles, but they're supposed to boil them through. Does anyone see actual shrimp in the bowl? Yeah, me neither and it isn't because we ate it, it was more like shrimp bits, like they cut'm up then added there are one or two, but plain to see the 'shrimp' quality was not Gump, it was bunk! Flavoring was bland, cheese was sparingly applied... Inflation has evidently effected us all, but paid full price, this was just bad, Bubba... Does Mama know?? What you see, is how much we ate and how much we left. It was that bad... Captains Fish & Chips - I'm tossing this Capt'n overboard, "not a friendly"... Fries were just ok, but not hot or crispy, more of a soggy warm texture (yum!) that doesn't fall into the category of a chip, rather a wilt... The fish... I would say they should stick to 'Shrimp'n' but shrimp reviews thus far and below for clarity! They must have fried the fish an hour prior to arrival, set under a heat lamp and allowed it to bask in the superficial sun. The actual fish inside was dry! Not sure how you do that with a batter that thick then fried, should hold in some moisture... Not taking on water, but still sinking. Flavor was just 'OK' but if you cover the entire thing in ketchup and tartar, it tastes like... Walmart brand frozen fish, poorly cooked with a lot of ketchup and tartar... you guessed it, I think she ate some of her fries and just under half of the fish but left the rest to the mountains... "That's all I'm gonna say about that" Finally, the classic! The pasta dish of choice in the 80's! Shrimp Scampi!!!! Scamper..... Whimper.... just sad ya'll... First of all, unlike the 'Shrimp Mac N Chz'... Scampi is an Italian dish to be served 'Molto Al Dente', meaning 'Very undercooked'... Its meant have a chewy texture to compliment the texture of the shrimp. This looks like a plate of soggy bottom worms! Secondly, as you can probably tell, the shrimp, WELL overcooked, wasn't certain if I was eating 10 week old frozen shrimp from the local Kroger, or if I was entertaining the rubberized model shrimp from window displays. Either way, Bubba, the shrimp have turned, ya'll! Finally, the sauce... holy pucker up, Bubbaman! Did this 'chef' mistake the Italian Vinaigrette for the White Wine?? If not, wine has turned to vinegar and more plagues are afoot! Hardly no butter, and A LOT of vinegar! I couldn't eat much more than you see here. Manager apologized, that's it... To sum it up. "I want to tell you I love you", but you're no longer "My Girl"... Fix it, Bubba! FIX IT!!! :( $81 meal, no B-Day song, Dessert, and worse food of our week long trip, disappointed in all but these sad Hush Puppies...

I had a Mango Mojito, the flavor was good but sure didn't taste like it had any alcohol in it. Started with the Run America Sampler: the dipping sauces were good, the shrimp in all our meals was about the size of popcorn shrimp! For my meal I had scampi, it was different with the tomatoes in it, it was different. My boyfriend had Shrimpers Heaven, once again the shrimp under All that Batter were tiny tiny. I love the way the place was decorated with all the movie Memorabilia. Our waiter Justin was a little different and seemed to keep forgetting about us. I guess you just don't go to the Mountains for Seafood. You gotta go to Florida

This restaurant is nice and cool for a touristy restaurant. It's based on the movie of course: they have cool little trivia that they give out while you're eating to pass the time. It's fun. If your ever in town and like seafood this would be a good place to try out. I had the salmon bourbon. It was delicious, the rice on the other hand was bland, but it's white rice, I never have high hopes for it. The calamari was good as well. The portions were good. But the bourbon glaze was more heavy on the bourbon than being a glaze. I mean if that's your jam then this is your plate. I guess I expected it to be thicker glaze and not so watered down. Maybe needed to be cooked down a little more. I will try other plates next time. I've been here a couple of times already. The service is fast and the staff is super friendly. Our server was fast and ready to offer up ideas for dinner. Maybe try the fish and chips next time of the steak. In town for a week and I'm trying out new places for dinner.

We have done 11 BGS nationwide. This one is as good. Service was great this time. We always tend to go for late lunch and have a drink and apps. This was no different. Calamari, shrimp Mac n cheese, chicken and pickles, and shrimp sampler. All very good.

Food was 4/5. Skip the shrimp on the spinach dip. You get about an ounce for the up charge. Drinks were good. The roll was delicious. Whatever my man had, he liked. Alex was a really pleasant server and the lady manager at the door made us feel real welcome even with us coming right before close. Would definitely recommend!

The Jambalaya is out of this world with its spices and hearty ingredients. The Bourbon Mahi Mahi was fine, but the fish was a little small and overcooked. I would stick with the Jambalaya. Sadly the service was slow despite it not being full. It's an okay stop with plenty of familiar dishes. Park Grill is better, but a little pricier.

The wait wasn't too bad, was quoted 25 minutes and the time went by pretty fast. The food was very tasty and matched the description in the menu. We loved the waiter and the ambiance of the restaurant, music wasn't too loud and the waiter was very attentive.

We always make a stop at this Bunba Gump location. We visited on Christmas Eve and made reservations prior because we figured the lines would be too long. We were seated right away. We ordered garlic bread and dip for appetizer and ordered bunch of entrées to share.

We have always loved Bubba Gump Shrimp, but KT took it to a new level after my 4 year old spilled an entire sweet tea all over her outfit. I had to lift my soaking wet toddler out of the booth and go try and find something she could wear bc it was 17 degrees outside and I knew we had to walk back to our hotel. Before I could get into the gift shop, KT already had a pajama set and hoodie in my daughter's size (only another mom would make the correct assumption) and was taking the tags off to hand to the cashier bc she was buying it for us. I said, "No, please let me buy those," and KT said, "Absolutely, not." Then, while I went to change my daughter in the bathroom, KT cleaned up our booth so we could finish our meal. She did not have to do all of that, but she knew my daughter needed dry clothes. If you are ever in Gatlinburg, TN, make sure you stop into Bubba Gump Shrimp and ask for KT. She has an amazing heart, and she was definitely a blessing to us! P.S. the pajamas and hoodie are adorable

Service was good 1/30/25 I have never had such a terrible meal. Rubber shrimp with so much coating Pasta tasted like vinegar. Don't go there and I will never go there again.

After walking around on a busy Saturday, we stopped in for lunch. They have an upstairs bar area and a downstairs dining area. We enjoyed the jambalaya and crispy calamari, and appetizer spread. Each dish was about $20 and took about 20min to prep. It's a bit of a hassle to use the restroom, as it is on the second floor and only has two stalls for the large establishment.

The service here was ok, but the food was absolutely horrible. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Great service, great food, delicious gumbo! Got to Gatlinburg around 7pm Sunday night. My brother wanted to get something to eat and we went to Bubba Gump. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered a cup of gumbo. It was so good that I had to go back on Wednesday and get a bowl! I highly recommend!

We tried several restaurants in Gatlinburg. Bubba Gump's was our favorite. Jenn was amazing! The gumbo, jambalaya and makers mark salmon were absolutely delicious. We will definitely return next time we visit Gatlinburg. Ask for Jenn, she was the best. Our drinks were full. Never had to ask for anything. The trivia was great too!

Stopped in here for a late lunch .. we were quickly seated. Food was delicious and the staff was friendly. There was alot of people here so it made visiting fun. We grabbed some appetizers instead of having a full meal at lunch time.

I've been to Bubba Gump in Maui many years ago (which I believe is no longer open) and loved it! I am a shrimp lover; it is my absolute favorite food. I love the decor in this place as well as the shrimp of course. That said, our service was extremely slow which was disappointing since I was on vacation and wanted to enjoy my meal and then go on with my day exploring. Also the place wasn't busy when we went, so service should've been a lot quicker. Even though it was slow, our server was friendly. This is always a place I'll stop by because of my love for shrimp!

Area was overall busy not surprised as it is a popular location to travel. We got seated right away and got served right away. We ordered Forest Seafood Feast and it was a good amount of food for the price but the shrimp were lacking flavor. There was not anything crazy about the food. The cod was very flimsy and dry the hush puppies were not that great. The shrimp were probably the only okay tasting thing. The sauces were good. Service was good.

Tried calling to place a pickup order and waited on hold for about 5 minutes. when the manager answered he immediately hung up on me. i called back 3 times and they declined all my calls. very disappointing because my family has been going to the location in San Francisco for 20 years and always have had great experiences.

Food was great! Justin was our waiter and his service was by far the BEST we had while we were in Gatlinburg for a week!

My group was seated immediately and we had an amazing waiter. He explained everything very well and made recommendations. Also, he was very understanding when we accidentally knocked over a water cup. The inside of the restaurant reminded me of any seafood place inferior design so nothing special or unique. The Forrest's Seafood Feast was okay, nothing special. It didn't really have any flavor and just tasted like seafood you can buy from the frozen section in a grocery store.

The gumbo is SUPER salty and the waitress managed to slop it all over the place when she brought it to me. My granddaughter ordered the salmon and had the broccoli replaced with Mac and cheese. But there is no garnish at all and it just didn't look very appealing

My memory might be rusty, but I used to watch "Billion Dollar Buyer" on CNBC, and Bubba Gump Shrimp was mentioned many times. I live in Atlanta, so there isn't one nearby. When I saw this location in Gatlinburg, TN in mid-October 2024, I decided that we would have dinner there, since I thought it would be an above average experience. It took about five minutes to get greeted by someone, but then we were quickly seated upstairs. It wasn't very crowded, so we probably missed the rush. A couple of us weren't hungry enough for a large entree, so we focused on appetizers and soups. One of us ordered an entree. Calamari - They were rubbery, meaning that they were overcooked. Clam Chowder - This was ok, but about equivalent to the Campbell's clam chowder that I used to eat while growing up. Strawberry Salad with Shrimp or Chicken - This was my biggest disappointment. This salad contained very little Strawberries, Apples, Feta Cheese, and Glazed Pecans. The shrimp on my salad were good though. My friend who had the same salad with chicken agreed that the ingredients were lacking. This salad might have been passable for $7-8, but definitely not for $20. Even two weeks after eating at Bubba Gump Shrimp, we were still laughing about how skimpy that salad was. "I'm Stuffed" Shrimp - This was ok, but a bit underwhelming for a $27 entree. I had a piece of stuffed shrimp, and it was just ok. I'm not really sure why this was a subpar experience. It was near the end of the day, and maybe the employees were tired or running low on ingredients. The prices seemed high for what was offered, but maybe it's due to being in a touristy area. There was a gift shop downstairs, so maybe people visit this establishment for reasons other than the food.

This use to be the best place to go and eat. It use to have enthusiastic waiters and waitresses that did movie trivia at the table. Our host and waiter tonight hardly engaged at all. Not sure the host ever made eye contact at all. Food (Bang bang shrimp)was over sauced, too sweet and not good. Our favorite meal (Accidental fish and shrimp) no longer a choice. Very over priced meals and servers are not friendly anymore. Will not return.

Good service and throwback to the movie, though food is mediocre and doesn't worth the price and the wait time

We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and food. After waiting more than hour all we got was the "kitchen is a shit show". We cancelled our order and waited 15 minutes for our drink bill. They offered us a couple of free items from the gift shop for our ordeal. We declined and just left never to return.

We eat here everytime we visit. We love the Cajun shrimp and the friend shrimp. Their caesar salad is really good also. Get here early there's always a long wait but worth it! Our server was working his butt off and did an outstanding job.

We were a large party, but our server was great. I didn't care for the "seafood feast." It was not a good value for the $26. 6 shrimp, 3 seafood like hush puppies, 1 dry previously frozen piece of fish, slaw, and a side. The shrimp were small and were also prepackaged. There was nothing fresh about the meal. I expected better and more for the price. The chowder was average. I wouldn't return.

This our 3rd time back and the food is as delicious as it was the 1st time. Got Shrimp heaven and claim chowder soup.

One of our favorite restaurants for seafood and flair when on vaca in the mountains. Use to love the one in New Orleans when lived there and went there often. Always loved Bubbas!

Our server, Hunter, was great! We were able to get a table for 8 after walking in on a busy Thursday. He was fun too! Loved all the Forest Gump trivia! We enjoyed a handful of cocktails. That's what you do on vaca, right?! I loved the build your own margarita, which let me pick my own type of tequila and add a grand marnier shot. Bad decisions that tasted soooo good! For food, we order the cheeseburger, Jenni's surf and turf, the chicken tenders, and the bourbon street mahi mahi and grilled shrimp. I ordered the bourbon street mahi mahi and grilled shrimp. It was okay. The mahi was a little tough. My husband got Jenni's surf and turf with steak and grilled shrimp. That was okay too. Bubba Gump is a chain restaurant, so we knew what we were getting into before ordering. Come for the atmosphere and the drinks!

If you are visiting Gatlinburg you should definitely try this restaurant. Has sometimes a bit of a long wait because the food is really good.

Me and a friend ate here earlier this week around 5 and the host and hostess were clueless as to what they were doing!! We were taken back to be seated and put in a holding area and then left while others were then seated. I flagged down the hostess and told her we needed to be seated soon or we would leave. She then seated us immediately! We were greeted by an awesome waiter and he did a great job! The food was mediocre with the best thing on my seafood plate was the fries! It was very apparent that this being a tourist town they could care less about the food when you're likely only here to visit on vacation. I do NOT recommend this restaurant!

Fried food was horribly overcooked. Service was good however the food was barely edible. For the price I expected better. Oh well lesson learned.

BEST LUNCH EVER! I had the Grilled Chicken Salad with fruit and raspberry vinaigrette, the Grilled Shrimp, and the AMAZING Hush Puppies! Bubba Gump is good for the Tummy and the Soul! Can't wait to visit Gatlinburg again just to be able to eat here again. Chris was my Server and he did an AMAZING job of taking care of making sure I had a great lunch!

Food is over priced with subpar flavor and long wait times not including their underwhelming seafood items

Had a long day seeing Gatlinburg and 2 of the party of 3 were pooped so we decided to submit a pick up order from Bubba Gump. I placed our order online, which went thru GrubHub. It said the order would be ready in like 15-20 minutes.I walked, well, sprinted to the restaurant and got there 3 minutes before the order was ready. As I was waiting for my order, they were super busy, the wait was at least 30 minutes for those dining in. Said all that to say We were happy with the speed of service and the food was still warm after sprinting back to the hotel. Conclusion: I would use their online service again, and I have to say I make a pretty good delivery person for those in my party who were pooped...

Food: all three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The shrimp gumbo, shrimper's heaven, jambalaya, and ribeye were all great! The ribeye says 12 oz, but was more like 8-9 ounces. Take it from me, I grew up on a cattle farm. Service: our server, Jared, was spot on even though he has only been there two weeks. Thanks. It was quick and easy to get a seat time using Yelp before we left our hotel. Atmosphere: if you like the movie, you'll love the memorabilia on the walls!

This was the first time I had ever eaten at Bubba Gumps. My cousins said the waitress did not do something. I thing she usually tells information about Forest Gump. I do not know what that is all about since we did not get it. We were not that hungry so we just got the appetizer to split it was 17.99. It included shrimp, chicken tenders, dip, and chips with coleslaw without dressing underneath. The no dressing coleslaw made no sense but to be a filler to make the appetizers look like more is all I can figure. The appetizer was alright nothing special but not bad and me and one other of us shared this and my other cousin ate the clam chowder. She ate it all and said it was good but the clams were a little tuff. She left a lot of the potatoes at the bottom of her bowl. I did not order a meal and so therefore cannot assess the meals. The restaurant seamed pleasant and we had a view that overlooked outside in the back. I don't know if would come back because the parking downtown Gatlinburg is $20.00. So for just to eat it doesn't seem like that is feasible for a meal and the parking. If we would have ordered three meals that would have been at least 75.00 more because the meal prices looked to be about 25.00 dollars each, with just appetizers and soup it was approximately $30.00 so $10.00 a piece plus the tip.

There were over 40 of us who came in on a high school band trip. It was a busy Friday night. Granted, we had a reservation for the group BUT STILL ... we were able to seamlessly add a few extra people to the group and everyone was seated immediately. The wait staff was phenomenal. They were quick and efficient. Everyone was out the door about an hour after being seated. Very impressive! The food was great and the service was top notch!!

The service was good. The server Justin was really nice and funny. The chicken tenders were mid by any means NOT BUSSIN'. The Mac and cheese was not good at all. It had little crumbs like chicken tenders. The fries were just normal. The pink lemonade was good. It was really loud my mom didn't like it. There was no wait to eat. It also took a while for our food to come. Overall if you're going to Gatlinburg pick something else before this place.

Our waiter was AMAZING, and so were the other waiters they seem to work as great team!! it's fun for a one time thing, I enjoyed the decor. They went above and beyond making it fun. Only reason for the 3 star, is the flavor and food. It's just not worth the price. And just ok. But I don't regret trying it for fun!

My husband and I were in town on a romantic weekend getaway and decided to stop here for dinner. Dinner was great; friend shrimp and vegetables on the side with fries. The drinks were a flowing and love was a glowing! LOL The wait was supposed to be 60 minutes so we started walking around but then we were notified after only 25 minutes that are table was ready. Wait staff was great and very attentive. They do have an elevator to get to all the floors and the bar has a lower spot for a wheelchair. My wheelchair fit in the bathroom but I am not sure if a power chair would fit. There might be another bathroom but I used the one on the top floor. I would definitely come again.

I had a business dinner here. We called ahead for expedited seating. There was a short wait, it was fine. Our food was really good! Everyone had shrimp in different ways, salad, scampi, fried. They were all delicious. Our waiter was extraordinary! He was funny and engaging. He had a little Forest Gump quiz for us. He also was very attentive and accommodating. Best service we had in Gatlinburg. I'm not too much for chains, but I'm glad we went in here.

I've been to at least 3 locations. Thinking it would be a good place as they have been consistent in the past. This was by far not the greatest of food in comparison to other locations. We had..1. ribs edible but not great! 2. Shrimp New Orleans was the best out of bunch, however shrimp was over cooked. 3. clam chowder was a no go. 4. I was craving hush puppies and I think I got 1 down couldn't get anymore down. Hard Pass on hush puppies! So the Smokies Bubba Gump needs to step up their game!!
