Bubbakoo's Burritos

Totally confusing process. And the place wasn’t busy. The person behind the counter asked me what would I like. She points down to the bins in front of her. Nothing is labeled. Somethings you could figure out from the look of it ,somethings you could not. No suggestions. No idea what things are normally included. I had to ask her multiple times. what is that, what is that, etc. I felt like I was a bother. The food was a tasty and having the right person at the counter can make all the difference in the world. I will not be going back to that particular location.

Had catering order for our three year old nephews birthday party! Food was excellent and plentiful! Everyone enjoyed it!!

Staff is amazing. They always greet me when I walk in and half a pleasant demeanor. Food is delicious. I sometimes get delivery, and the food always travels well. Best curly fries I’ve had! Always in rotation for when we’re ordering/eating out. Love bubbakoos!

I love Bubbakoos’s! Great food and very easy to order on the app and pick up. I am editing this ad. I am a teacher in Rumson and went into the Point Pleasant store to get the 20% advertised discount for teachers and staff. I was told I needed to teach in Point Pleasant and I didn’t get the 20%.. The ad said nothing about that. False advertising. Ruined my dinner and my wife was annoyed as well. Not good.

Habachi steak is delicious. I ordered just the steak. Nothing else. The portion I got was hilarious and to make it worse they charged me the full price of the bowl $15.59. I called. Said the portions are pre set and the charge through the computer is set. I’m beat. Good food but don’t confuse the computer. Huge waste of money.

Food is unbelievable! The burrito is ordered was the size of a small child. Great portions for a good price. When I visit family in NJ this is one of my must haves. Highly recommend these guys/gals.

Both entrées were perfectly put together and they were delicious. They were ready for pick-up when scheduled and were still warm when we got home. The clerk was friendly.

This place went above and beyond your typical delivery joint! Not only was the food FRESH and excellent but the delivery was quick and they guy was so friendly. Upon\ opening our order we found that cheese had been forgotten so we figured we would just deal with it but we called them back. I only asked for them to drop off some cheese and sour cream but they we so kind and generous and actually remade both of our meals and redelivered them to our hotel. It was delicious! I can highly recommend the shredded chicken!

This is what you get for $11.29! Pretty pathetic it's 50% tortilla. Been ordering here for a while but it keeps getting worse. (Well apparently they won't let me upload a picture because clearly they only post their own photos of perfect looking food). So I'll explain. The General tso burrito was the size of russet potato or oblong baseball basically. Though flavorful it was cold 5 minutes after a on time pickup and took about 3 minutes to eat. I definitely got ripped off! Order a bowl and make your own because for some reason they have no problem filling those up.

I'm a fairly regular customer probably twice a week and for the most part the employees are good, BUT the last 3 times I've been there they had run out of something and or eliminated a choice like onion or something else. Who does inventory? Kidney beans, sweet peppers, tomatoes??

Ordered a chiwawa combo delivery but they forgot the chips and soda. Obviously no one inspected the order before sending it. The chiwawa was good but not as good as it would have been with chips and salsa so after eating a little I had to go out to wawa and buy a soda and chips. So I paid for delivery and a tip but had to go out anyway. I will not be ordering from them again.

I have been to this bubbakoos in point pleasant quite a few times, it is the one attached to the jersey mikes. But none of those times did I ever feel this disrespected by a worker. This girl with blonde hair and tattoos working made me feel uncomfortable and utterly disrespected and uncared for. My partner and I walk in and are immediately given dirty looks by this individual, looking us up and down as we order our food. We go about placing our order. When it gets to his turn and he tries to ask for a side or rice, he is forced to repeat himself about 3 times before finally the cashier yells back to the girl what my partner is trying to say. Because everyone else in the store was able to clearly understand and hear what he was asking for. But she would just look at him and then look at others giving them the looks of "can you believe this guy". The cashier was the only good part of this experience, he was very helpful. This is not the only time this has happened either. She is usually working when we decide to go, and every time without fail she preforms the same. So as a result of this I now try to order our food online so I do not have to have the experience of being served by her again.

Ordered JALAPENO POPPERS, BUFFALO BEEF CHIWAWA, BACON AND QUESO CURLY FRIES and BURRITO - BUILD YOUR OWN...picked it up at 5:45 p.m. - began eating it at 6:00 p.m. and have had tremendous stomach cramps with indigestion ever since - this affected both me and my wife...the JALAPENO POPPERS were unremarkable and bland...the BUFFALO BEEF CHIWAW had 2 layers of hard, chewy rice - I ate maybe 3 bites of it before I stopped...the BURRITO - BUILD YOUR OWN had an element of spice that was not ordered and could not be eaten...the BACON AND QUESO CURLY FRIES were VERY greasy...I am disappointed as, up to this point, I've always had good food from this location...now I spent ~$40.00 on food that adversely impacted my health and cannot be eaten...something tells me that I should have added a tip to an order that I was picking up just to make sure that I received food that was of a higher quality and assembled with more care...considering that we NEVER get indigestion, tonight is probably a show-stopper for me and the last time I order from here.

Service has significantly gone down hill. Employees take phone orders before people standing online and when you do complete a phone order it is wrong more than half of the time.

The staff was very polite and energetic, great service all around. the manager even came out to check on the quality of the food and service! Great place to stop for a filling bite!

great take out for lunch , dinner and parties. nice staff Guacamole is great Quesadilla also great they have healthy options as well

Ordered a taco salad with crispy chicken. Order was delivered with no chicken. Their resolution was a $2 refund. The chicken added to the taco salad increased the price by $12 but the refund was $2??? Not a good resolution.9

Placed an order online for delivery tonight @8:24pm, our food was never delivered and no call from this restaurant. Tried calling them but goes directly to a pre-recorded message and unable to speak to a live person.

Don't like their pre packaged chicken. It's horrible tasting. Their fried cauliflower is good though. Just way too expensive. Liked the rice ball too but was just completely over done w/ the toppings.

Some people amazing some people do to much some do to much now they get rid of lettuce what's next no meat

Worst service and wait in Point Pleasant. Food isn't that good to wait 25 minutes to order with 3 people in front of you. Make sure you order ahead

We ordered a lot of food from here tonight online to be picked up...they gave us a time and we went there and they didn't even start making it yet, they waited until we got there. When we arrived home (not even 10 min later) and took the food out to eat it was ice cold! It was like they took all the meat out of the fridge and threw it on whatever we ordered. The only thing that was warm was the kids quesadilla we ordered. Never again.

Good for lunch, everything is made to order in front of you. All of the meats and toppings always look fresh and replenished. The student special deal is great - 2 tacos, chips, and a drink for five dollars. Employees are always friendly and welcoming, although I've never tried delivery.

Oh Bubbakoo's. My boyfriend and I went last night to give them one last chance. We have been let down for the last time which sucks because when I was in high school, this was the best spot around. Back then, they only had 5 locations. The food use to be amazing and flavorful with huge portions. But now, I feel like they have lowered their quality because of their expansion and growth. To a certain extent, I understand that when you grow and expand as a company there are things that have to change, but the food quality should not be one of those things. The place is always clean and neat and the staff is nice and friendly. But if one of the staff member's friends comes in while you're there, prepare to be treated poorly. There have been many times that I have gone in there and was ignored and not paid attention to because of a staff member's friend coming in. As far as the food goes, it is less than stellar. Back in the day, the Chiwawa was the best. Big rice ball, topped with nacho cheese, meat, and all of the toppings you want. Now, it seems as though they have gotten smaller and are left sitting out for a while so they get hard and cold. Last night, I ordered the chiwawa and was disappointed. The to go containers are tiny. The rice ball was hard and cold. The nacho cheese was warm which helped. The beans were cold and bland. I got beef and shrimp, which were okay. The beef was room temperature but had flavor and the shrimp were good but only because they cook them to order. The mild salsa is okay too. The corn salsa is tasty, but I asked for extra and only got about 10 kernels. Their guac is pretty good too. Topped it off with sour cream, cheese and lettuce which you cant mess up but they are super skimpy on the cheese. The staff is friendly, but you can tell that they are being fake. They are more concerned with having conversations with each other rather than listening to the customer. The customer should not have to repeat their order 5 times to the employee. The prices are fair, but in my opinion it is too expensive for the quality. They have really gone down hill over the past few years and I honestly think it is because they are becoming a bigger company and are falling into the "lousy chain Tex-Mex place". I use to be such a loyal customer going at lease 3 times a month. Now, I will not go here again.

Worst experience ever. We never even got our order. After an hour of waiting ( after our in line order hand been placed a half hour before that) they were still ignoring my husband. We cancelled the order and left. They were careless and sloppy about the whole situation. No manager in sight and not a care in the world. Don't bother ordering from them it's not worth it. And we weren't the only ones they screwed tonight, they messed up every on line order that came through while my husband was waiting.

For $11.25 I got a drink, hard white rice, overcooked black beans, and ounce of salsa and an ounce of corn and 11 pieces of steak-you have to be kidding me. Service was great -place was clean. Ya know, I'm a Chipotle gal myself and I had a date to go there today but had to break it, however I was still craving beans and rice. I thought "Let's give the mom and pop a go tonite! I'll go to Bubbakoos. It's around the corner, it's basically the same set up. GREAT!" Problem gleefully solved.. I should have taken the ride out to Chipotle...talk about skimpy! A burrito bowl at Chipotle made the same way as above is positively teeming with food- FOR $8.25!!! OK -so you can't or don't want to do that volume of food per person, fine! But for $11.25 I better get either MORE FOOD (preferable) or you give, and use ingredients that would make Ina Garten blush!! This was half assed. So next time, Ill take mine to Chipotle.

I've ordered multiple times hard corn tacos and chips and it seems to me that the taco shells and the chips have been stale not crunchy and or harder than they should be. I love Bubbakoo's but if they are still consistently stale I don't know if I'll be able to come back.

The fillings were not fresh. The burrito sits and sits and sits while the tiny bit of steak and shrimp are heated on the grill. No flavor and no value for the extremely high price. Never again. The steak was tough and overcooked.

Really enjoyed the food. Ordered delivery from the point pleasant location & New Brunswick. Both locations had good customer service & prompt service The food tasted really authentic. Fresh guacamole & chips. They have really good options of good choices.

Took an hour and 15 mins to deliver cold, tasteless slop. Seriously, I have better frozen food. Who makes nachos with non melted cheese? Just hold all flavor would be a better name.

Horrible delivery service as well a customer service. We live around corner but needed food delivered. They told us food would take hour which we agreed . When food was 36 minutes late we called to see where it was . The girl lied and said it was out for delivery. We then called when it was hour late and the girl on the phone then admitted they still had not made it . It's great to hire young workers but there needs to be a strong management overseeing. I will now go to Finn's or surf taco

Over an hour and half for delivery and was missing items , food wasn't great either. Customer service is awful. Sticking with Surf Taco from now on.

One of the friendliest Staffs I have ever interacted with. Food was great, good portions and they recommended stuff to my family since it was our first time there. Price was reasonable and they have free refills of drinks plus a frequent shopper card. I'll be back for sure and I recommend you try it also!

Unfortunately I have to downgrade my review from last time. The portions were much smaller at this location this time around. That wasn't so much an issue as they seemed to be lower quality ingredients than they were when I first started going here, basically inexpensive ingredients at higher prices was my current take (and not a lot in a serving). All-in-all I don't think it's worth the prices they charge. I'll have to check in at another location to see if this is a locations specific problem or just this one place. :-( Maybe they or I was having a bad day, I'll try back and update as it wasn't horrendous or anything.

I don't understand how the rating is so low! Bubbakoos is an awesome option-they have super fresh ingredients AND a friendly staff. They use premium ingredients, so you KNOW you're eating goodness with every bite. I go to often the workers now recognize me and start my order before I even say a word! Bubbakoos is definitely one of my favorite places to eat when I'm home from school, and everyone needs to go eat there!

I don't know. I liked it! I thought the guys behind the counter were stellar! Super nice, double checked my order and were generally just peachy to deal with. I've had better and I've had far-faaaar worse and personally, I thought Bubbakoo's was good. I ordered a chicken burrito with cheese, pintos, corn and sour cream w/ a side of guacamole. I thought everything was balanced just right and the guac was delish. My boyfriend ordered a shrimp burrito and claimed that they skimped on the shrimp. I tried his and I had to respectfully disagree. I would defiantly eat here again. Oh, I should point out that the premise of Bubbakoo's is the same as Qdoba, whereas you add things to your order as you go. So, if it doesn't turn out, it's kinda your own fault. :-(

I love this place! I have been going to the original bubbakoos (Point Pleasant) for years now! Overall the service is pretty good, and the food is delicious. Very affordable as well! I recommend the "mini works" and I have them cover it in everything they have from lava cheese, to crispy buffalo chicken, rice, beans, lettuce and sour cream, cilantro, salsa, you name it.

This is our favorite Mexican food. Always fresh and delicious! Service is always fast and great!

My Bubbakoo's review needs an update to continue to be relevant. They've been opening new locations all over the place, and as they do that, the quality goes down, down, down, even here at the original location. They nickle-and-dime you on ingredients until you're paying enough to get a meal at a real restaurant, then they find ways to charge even more. The salsa is lame. The tacos are still okay, not great but not terrible. But they put very little of anything in them, probably to get you to pay another extra dollar for more. You can do much better for much less money. Not recommended.

So disappointed in the attitude in 2 of the 3 front counter employees. On May 3 I walked in to place an order for 3 menu items. The first employee that asked if we needed help, said it would be 10 minutes to take my order since we weren't there just to pick up food. The same employee then mumbled out loud 'should've ordered online". The next employee said out loud "tickets come first". I'm taking that as the customers standing in front of him are invisible, and if we didn't order online, we're S.O.L. and have to wait.~I'm trying to give local business' my money, but w/ attitudes like that, my order for 3 menu items went to 1 menu item, and I happily walked over to Mike's Subs and gave them my money. Great job to the cashier who had a much more pleasant attitude.

We decided to order from Bubbakoo because they had a great family meal. When we got our order delivered, we took it out of the bag and the boxes were opened. Then we noticed that they only gave us a box of beef for the tacos but that's it! No tacos, lettuce or anything that the family meal comes with. I called them and they told me I would have to wait another 45 for them to bring the rest and I asked if I could just come pick up the rest of my order and they told me still 45 min. So off to make the kids something else. The girl on the phone didn't seem to concerned . Won't do that again.

Great tasting food and real solid menus items but they never get the order exactly right. Whether it's forgetting jalapeños on the quesadilla, side sauces or even forgetting to make the tater tots buffalo tots. It's not the end of the world but attention to details definitely matter. Maybe they will get better.

They have really gone down hill in the last few years, cutting costs loses your costumers, and in this case another one bites the dust. I can't believe how little chicken or beef they add to a taco or burrito. If you need something with some personality and proper fillings take a drive to 6th Ave. I would only go here at this point if I was in the mood for lots of rice. Also the whole tween hangout thing doesn't help...

Wanted to update my review. Food is great and the people who work there are very friendly. What keeps me from giving the last star is their gift cards. I've gotten a couple and they are great until the balance if under $5. Their machine wont accept a charge under $5, (I believe they run them as credit) so if your card has less that $5, it's useless. Which I find to be pretty annoying to say the least. Come for the food and the people, beware the gift cards.

The food and staff here are top notch. I always order something with steak so it's always cooked to order. I used to do chicken burritos and loved them until I discovered the amazingness that is the "A1 Double Steak Burrito" My only complaint would be with the store itself. In the summer it can get hot (but it's a restaurant with a griddle 5 feet from you so I expect that) and in the winter it can get pretty cold if people keep opening and closing the door...but that's about it. Keep up the great work!

First time at Bubbakoo's Burritos. The staff were patient, polite and friendly. All had a smile on their face and looked at you when they talked to you. Food was fresh and tasty. We ate our food there and enjoyed watching the teamwork behind the counter. Definitely will go back there again for not only the food but the friendly staff.

I usually love this place but I guess they're under new management or something & the new counter girl there is rude black hair & glasses. I kept telling her I wanted my food for here & she threw the receipt & pen at me.

For an establishment that prides itself on fast service and high quality food really comes up short. Our to go order took over and hour and half to be delivered and everything was either luke warm or cold. The burritos were falling apart and not good quality at all. This place will be a pass forever and in the future I will turn people away from such low quality food.

The staff is totally awesome here and Customer service is top notch! Love the buffalo chicken quesadilla, and the prices are very reasonable. Great place for a quick, delicious bite to eat!

First off I used to order from here literally every single week. UNTIL I was in the Point Pleasant location eating one day and saw a cockroach. TWO YEARS LATER I decide to give them a try again. I order two RICE bowls with veggies , beans and guacamole. What do I get? Two bowls of beans and under cooked onions. No rice! I called and was given a hard time that I have to specifically say and order RICE in the RICE bowl that I ordered. I said wait. I order a rice bowl and I have to clarify that I want rice in my rice bowl. He said yes. I don't think so. I am done. And will never order from them again. DONE.

3 stars seems like the right rating. They are trying to be like a chipotle but not getting there. Not very flavorful and more expensive. I would say try it and make your own choice but i wouldn't go back especially since chipotle is close

Stopped into Bubbakoo's in Point Pleasant because I was in a hurry to eat and run. Gotta love the old assembly line burrito where you pick exactly what you want inside, kinda like making your own Wawa coffee. I had a double meat pork and chicken burrito and had it filled with the usual suspects, rice, beans, salsa, etc. and have to say it was awesome! The meats were fresh and didn't lack on seasoning, was like eating two burritos in one. The two guys working this particular day were friendly and socialized with all the customers coming in to get their food. The place was pretty clean from what I could tell even though it's a shared restaurant with Jersey Mike's Subs with the same general dining area. I'll definitely be coming back here when in the mood for another monster burrito!

I think this place is over priced. Each topping or ingredient is an extra charge. Really charging for peppers, onions, and salsa!! By the time I was done creating my meal, I could have make tacos at home for 4 people. The guacamole was squeezed out of a plastic bag-NOW THAT'S FRESH! Come to think about it, I think everything is canned or processed. I cant believe I ate here and gave them my money. I think this place is trying to be a Chipolte but no comparison. NEVER AGAIN. Not worth it.
