Yelp
The first time I came here I believe was after they'd just had their grand opening. I wanted a thai tea, but guess what, they don't even serve thai tea. What kind of a boba place doesn't even serve Thai Tea? That should have been red flag #1.
But ok fine whatever, I bought their regular milk tea with boba. Can't screw that up. Or so I thought.
What I got was basically water with a slight milk-tea flavor, with some mediocre boba balls. Great.
A few months later, I thought to myself, ok, they only just opened the last time I went, and maybe their recipes weren't ironed out yet and their staff were still untrained. So I went there and I got the milk tea again. And it was glorified water again. Goddammit.
So that was about at least 5+ years ago. Then today my sister (who lives in the area) went here and got a boba tea and said it was pretty good now, that they improved. Ok, sounds good. I went down there today and got a boba milk tea again. AND IT WAS WATERED-DOWN GARBAGE AGAIN.
Look, I'm not some rube when it comes to boba. I live in Southern California. You can't throw a rock without hitting a boba place. I've had plenty of boba milk teas. Some were great, some were bad, most are ok. And this place is definitely on the bad side. Horrible.
Fool me once, shame on Bubble Bubble.
Fool me twice, shame on me.
Fool me thrice, shame on my freaking sister.
I am 100% never going back to this place. I honestly don't even know how they've stayed in business this long. Actually, nevermind, I do know how - when they charge $4 for what's essentially a cup of water, their profit margins must be sky high.
