Pasadena Wants to Test Face-Scanning System That Allows You to Pay for Meals | Eater LA

"This Pasadena bubble-tea spot is part of a pilot deploying facial-recognition payments: customers register with a selfie, load funds with a credit or checking account, order from the participating menu, and simply look into a kiosk at pickup while a cashier approves and hands over the drink. Organizers market the system as a safer, more contactless alternative amid COVID-19 safety measures, yet observers caution about racial bias in facial-recognition and possible privacy and data-sharing issues. The rollout is managed by the Cali Group and began this week." - Mona Holmes

We loved stopping in after an afternoon in the gardens nearby. Had a refreshing boba on a hot day. You can even choose the level of sweetness and ice! They had a combo where you get a sandwich and a basic tea for free! Good pricing and great quality. We will be back!

The food was very tasty and fresh, and the boba was delicious. However, the restroom, especially the hand-washing area, was quite dirty.

Google
One of the best dessert places that also has some food options. The bubble puffs are so delicious and not overly sweet. The portions are big so it is good for sharing. The ice cream was also very good. The interior is quite big and clean, and great for studying or chilling. Staff are very nice and friendly.

Google
Cute dessert shop right by Pasadena community college. Lots of free street parking but the shop also has a tiny lot in the back. Tried their matcha bubble tea and cinnamon bubble puff dessert. Milk tea was very rich and creamy, a bit pricey for what it is. Bubble puff was also pricey but was really well made. Unique dessert! You can add extra toppings as well. Definitely worth a splurge to try it out.

The ice cream was terrible. I ordered a puff, adding a ice cream for $2.50, but it had absolutely no matcha flavor and had a strange freezer taste, like ice cream that had been sitting in the freezer for ages that nobody wanted. The cheese foam in the drink tasted like it was made from spoiled cheese, with a rotten smell. They clearly use cheap, low-quality ingredients just for convenience—very poor quality and unhygienic. I guess all drinks are also made with poor quality ingredients.

Google
I was looking for something new for dinner and happened upon this place whilst on a walk. I got the crispy chicken curry bowl combo which included a regular size Jazmin tea with boba. The chicken was crispy the dry rub flavorful, the chicken well done (no trace of pink anywhere) . The rice was well done, not too soft not too hard. The curry had a nice flavor that combined perfectly with the chicken. Got the tea with 25% sugar and added boba, it had a great fast, so did the boba, light in ice, which is what I like. As of 6/4/2024 this ran me $16 which is about normal for fast food. Liked it, I would repeat and recommend.

Google
Great staff and they have fun machines at the corner. Friend said those machines are scams. Proved she's wrong. For $5 it's a big win :-)

Google
Bubble Puff & Tea is small boba tea shop on Pasadena by Colorado blvd near PCC. Interior atmosphere was chill and welcoming. Drink and food items are somewhat limited. I ordered their chocolate egg waffle with mochi filling and avocado smoothie w/ boba. They are really good. The egg waffle was fresh, soft, puffy and warm. Devoured it in a matter of minutes. Similarly, the avocado smoothie (with boba) was cold and fresh. Their boba pearl was chewy, soft, fresh and warm. Prices were fair and competitive. Free a WiFi available. Staff was nice and competent. She’s wearing mask and they have hand sanitizer per health protocol. Street parking only. Overall, I enjoyed my egg waffle with mochi and avocado smoothie.

Yelp
Bubble Puff & Tea is a great spot for casual vibes, great drinks and desserts. Parking is limited behind the cafe, most of the time I come here, I park on the street and do a tiny walk, very accessible around. Cafe is spacious inside with plenty of seats, very clean and has a kiosk to order. Bubble Puff can get pretty busy and certain times, and since it's across from PCC (College), many students come here to enjoy their orders, study, or just to have a relaxing time. There are many places that serve egg waffles, but the egg waffles here are more unique. They provide a more firm and toasty grip even when its cooled off. The crunch is very addicting and mixes well with the ice cream that comes with the waffles. Highly recommend ordering this as a shareable along with all the snack menu items. Drinks are sweet and refreshing on any given day. They have a good range of teas from Oreo Brulees to Fruit Teas. One thing I love is that the quality of the cup is sealed. The cap is well made to prevent any extra gaps to reduce spills and you're able to close it to save for later, very well designed.

Yelp
I have been passing by this tea shop for quite a while and was intriqued by the cute name. Recently I finally stopped by. I did not try their puffs or other Hong Kong style snacks yet, but enjoyed some teas. They have some jars on the counter with the loose teas so you can see how it looks and smell the fresh aroma. I really enjoyed that. Service is very good and friendly. The boba is firm and just right to withstand soaking in the tea. They have a good variety including "messy boba" which is coated in brown sugar. I really liked the crystal boba. The jasmine and osmanthus green teas were delicious and strong enough to taste in the milk tea. I would definitely return.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, Bubble Puff & Tea on a weekday around lunch is gonna be packed, that's my warning for y'all. I was surprised my car was the only in the parking lot behind the shop. I walked in to a completely packed shop that I even had to squeeze into! Good for them that they are booked & busy, but bad for me who had to wait 25 minutes for my green tea. Just something to keep in mind if you're headed there. However, aside from the waiting, I'm a fan of Bubble Puff & Tea! These ladies were working hard when I was in pushing out order after order. My green tea had a very yummy and fun matcha foam on top. Pretty and tasty! They also have tons of snacks and things that are like a full meal so you can happily eat here. I had their Sesame Balls and they were perfection! Tiny little guys perfectly fried to a delicious level. Love Bubble Puff & Tea and I'm sure I'll be back to try more on the menu!

Yelp
Grabbed drinks here on a hot day. Parking was tight, but they thankfully had a few spots in the tiny back lot. Ambiance (3/5): Pretty nice in there. There were plenty of seats and it seems nice for some midday studying. Service (3/5): I ordered from the kiosk, but the worker seemed attentive and quick with the drinks. Food / drinks (2.5/5): I ordered an Uji matcha latte and my husband ordered a watermelon slush. Uji matcha being one of my usuals at boba places that offer it, this was not my favorite. The added foam topping could not save it. It was earthy yet weak in flavor, almost bland. It was the oddest thing. My husband's watermelon drink, by contrast, was much more enjoyable. Their boba was okay, but tasted like the lower quality kind (if you know you know). I'm not sure I'd be back, and I'm a little confused by the good reviews, but maybe I just got the wrong drink. May try again if I'm in the area to give it another shot.

Yelp
Had a peach milk tea and it was delicious. Can't wait to return and try some of their other flavors.

Yelp
Best boba & tea shop in the Pasadena area run by a couple of boba gals! (I think sisters). This little shop has the best quality tea, boba, and Taiwanese menu snacks of all the places in the area. Nice large seating area with free wifi. Parking lot in the back of the shop. The two boba gals who run this place are super friendly and quick. Their boba and tea drinks are made from real tea and they have a lot of fruit tea drinks plus all the toppings and add ons. Support this women run business! They also have shaved ice desserts, bubble puff egg waffles, rice dishes, popcorn chicken + lots of other snacks, and even coffee and espresso based drinks. They are open late until 10pm on saturday nights especially for Asian desserts, waffles, late night snacks like mango drinks, curry crispy chicken rice, minced pork rice and other delicious food. Best thing is that they are still reasonably priced for the high quality tea that they serve. As other "high end" boba shops using tea shots, etc. have gone to around $8 - you can still get a better quality tea or boba drink here for around $6! Plenty of street parking too. Right across the street from Pasadena city college.

Yelp
This café is pretty spacious. Casual vibe with great service. There were lots of options to choose from the menu. But once I saw the bubble puff pastry, I was craving it. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Not too sweet. It was delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
Super chill place with sweet goodies. Came here on a cold night and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Prices were fair. Parking on the street.

Yelp
Looked up boba spots near Pasadena..found this one..showed up. Pretty small and no parking. Only a few spots on the street. The side lot is super narrow. Walked in. PRETTY empty. Kiosk ordering. I got the Strawberry Sunrise my daughter got peach milk tea. Both pretty average. 6/ 10. Not mind blowing..but good. Prices are fair. Customer service was average.
google avatar

Yelp
the BEST popcorn chicken hands down, so juicy and flavorful and very well seasoned. I cant get anything else without getting that, Their taiwanese sausage is also bar none!
google avatar

Anika M.

Yelp
Very quick service. There is a lot of seating as this is a main spot for students. I ordered the Mango Tapioca and I would order it again. It was very enjoyable.

Yelp
One of my favorite dessert spots in pasadena. I've tried their boba drinks and they too are good but the my guilty pleasure is the bubble puff pastries. Red bean with bananas. Ice cream and whip cream. Yum! It's always about a 10 minute wait because they make it fresh, it's always warm and crispy on the outside. Soft and fluffy on the inside. Almost like a pancake with all the goodies baked in the inside. The ice cream and whip is served on the side to keep it from melting. This one's a must try if you're in the area. Super casual spot.

Yelp
Date: March 12, 2024 Was meeting up with an old friend in Pasadena and was yelping around for a spot with snacks and dessert so we could just munch and catchup and saw this spot looked interesting! Located right across of PCC (Pasadena City College) and right at the end corner of the street. They have a tiny parking lot in the back (7 spots) which is always nice seeing Pasadena rarely has parking that's not metered or in a structure. Managed to get a spot in back which was awesome! The place itself is so spacious for what it is! Lots of surge outlets for you to charge your phones/devices if you're there to do work/school work. Their menu is really jammed packed with delicious sounding goodies that range from a full on meal (wonton noodle soup) to dessert (bubble puffs). We only wanted something to munch on so I got a matcha bubble waffle with mochi filling (1.50$ extra) & she got a tea. The waffle was plain in terms of flavor / matcha wise but the mochi texture made up for it! So overall, pretty good! You can also add ice cream for an additional cost. They have a kiosk if you'd like to pay with card or you can order from the cashier if you'd like to pay with cash. The food came out fairly quickly so that was also a plus! Thanks for a great first experience! Can't wait to be back to try something new!

Yelp
Food was meh. Got the tteokbokki and... it tasted like Korean spaghettio. Drink tasted watery and not any fragrance to the tea. Maybe I'll try something else next time (IF I do come back)..
google avatar

Kim U.

Yelp
The gyoza we ordered were really good. We gobbled them up in a jiffy. But we are still waiting for our chicken Teri bowl. Maybe that takes a while back there. I should have ordered one more gyoza. Mild is spicy enough. The sweet and sour sauce goes well with it. Ok. The chicken bowl finally arrived mmm good. Ambiance is good. Chill music.

Yelp
Finally found an authentic tasting HK egg waffle boba shop with great tea. So good! The bubble puff waffle has perfect texture and mochi inside is so "q" and chewy. My favorite is the matcha puff with any ice cream on the side, a must try combo. But really, can't go wrong with any of the flavors. They have a self service kiosk that makes it convenient to order. The staff was there to answer any questions and special requests. Overall super friendly. Drinks came out before the waffle so I sipped on it while we waited for the fresh puff. There was ample space for seating and great ambiance. May just come and try their food combos next time. Definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Yelp
I got the crispy tofu and curry rice, and you can add on a jasmine milk tea with boba for like $3 which comes out to $18ish including tax. The dish came out HOT which was great. The tofu had a starch batter and it was pretty good and crispy, and the curry was flavorful. The jasmine flavor of the tea came through and I liked that the boba was lightly sweet. It was the perfect amount of sweetness for me at 50%. It was overall a satisfying meal, so I look forward to trying their other dishes and drinks. The two women working there were also very friendly and helpful. It's a nice place to study/work with wifi and a good amount of seating. Would come back!

Melanie S.

Yelp
Bussss boba. the boba is so yummyy and the matcha tastes like matcha not watered down or too milky. Service is amazeballs and fast. The spot is nice and has enough space considering it gets full sometimes. Recomend coming here to chill and enjoy matcha latte
google avatar

Karina N.

Yelp
Excellent excellent excellent. The wonderful women working there are doing things right!!! My girls and I had the little bubble puffs (first time was with chocolate and second time plain) they are perfectly sweet, not over doughy, and expect a great portion. We also had the teriyaki chicken plate which came with steamed rice, corn, and salad. We also tried the ramen with rice cakes which was phenomenal but I only recommend if you like spice because it has some heat (and this is with them only using little spice-they were so kind to inform me the heat level and dropped it down a notch for my girls).
google avatar

Yelp
Great drinks! I got the peach oolong with boba and it was very refreshing on a hot day. My friend got the Thai tea boba and it was a very sweet. If you don't like sweet, I definitely recommend getting 50% or 75% sweetness. The snack portions are pretty small for its price though. I got like 14 fries. The puff pastry was a decent size. It's shareable for $12. It does take a while to make though, about 10 minutes for each puff pastry and this was when there was no other customer who ordered puff pastry. Service was very fast and it's faster if you're paying in cash. I got to "skip the line" since I didn't need to use the kiosk and was helped by the cashier. She was sweet. It's a good place to relax and unwind but I recommend bring headphones if you want to study here. The music is lowkey loud.
google avatar

Lori R.

Yelp
I arrived first thing in the morning, so I had to wait a bit for the boba to be ready, fresh boba isn't a bad thing! How to order was a little confusing, you use a big screen to order and then they make it. The lady working was nice and let me know the boba would take 10 minutes and she was spot on for timing. The boba was good and it was price alongside most other boba places. There are a ton of tables for seating and it was a cute place. Would be back if I was in the area.
google avatar

Sue I.

Yelp
DURIAN + TAPIOCA + COCONUT MILK = SOLD! I like that you can choose the sugar level down to 25% in the drinks. I often think that most bubble tea is overly sweet. At 25%, my durian drink was so good. I love that this was a nice and bright location. Very simple design and they decorated for Halloween. I can't wait to come back to try their waffle because they have pandan and durian!
google avatar

Jason R.

Yelp
Ambiance: welcoming open space, one kiosk order station so timing is key, location has seating for about 25. Service: food came out to us within 5 minutes of ordering, we went around 5pm and the place was half full. The kitchen crew looked fully staffed so wait was not long at all. Food: we ordered the bublepuff with Nutella and strawberry ice cream. The waffle was super crunchy and Nutella added a balanced sweetness. We also ordered the Nutella banana waffle which was delicious as well. A must try if you are looking for a quick snack around Pasadena. Note: parking is towards the back of the building in a small lot.
google avatar

Jeff J.

Yelp
Standard Chinese tea place. Good puffs but the attitude is straight from old school mainland China. Forget smiles or warmth, the owner (lady w glasses) has a perpetual RBF and acts annoyed and cops attitude if you have any sort of questions. Won't be issue if u stick to kiosk and keep all questions to yourself.
google avatar

Ann P.

Yelp
I love their rose and peach milk tea boba. It's so addicting and not overly sweet. I highly recommend this place you like floral and light bubble teas.
google avatar

Yourfood C.

Yelp
Really good however they put so much ice you'll be done in two sips. Nice lowkey location near Pasadena city college, and the employees are nice however I asked for light ice and still got a lot.
google avatar

Emily F.

Yelp
I walked in here because I had ordered dumplings next door and have always wanted to try their tea. My go to is always peach oolong tea but most places make it with oolong tea and add a bunch of sugary peach syrup to flavor it. I HATE that because I don't like sweetened teas. I want to taste high quality tea with natural fragrance. The employee told me their tea was made without sugar so I excitedly ordered it. The popcorn chicken is also a solid choice, albeit slightly dry. I got my tea and it was PERFECTION. The oolong taste was lovely and the fragrance of the peach was strong. It's incredibly rare to find a good true peach oolong so I hope this place stays here forever. I'm wishing them all the success!! I'm also super pleased there's such a solid Taiwanese place near me using high quality ingredients and wonderful customer service!
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
Great service!! All the workers are actually really nice and very friendly!! The drinks and the snacks are delicious as well! The whole area inside the cafe is really clean and spacious too!! I definitely will be coming back to order more snacks and drinks over there again when I'm in Pasadena, California!! Five stars is exactly my total rating!!! Thank you all so much for everything!!!!

Josh H.

Yelp
Great food and Boba! Perfectly located! There are so many different flavors for everyone. I ordered a strawberry fruit tea, it was so refreshing on a hot summer day! Made of fresh strawberries!! Definitely recommend
google avatar

Flora W.

Yelp
My friend and I were in need of a boba fix and just so happened to be in the neighborhood. We indefinitely "yelped" it and found Bubble Puff & Tea right around the corner. I gotta say - I was first intrigued by the Hong Kong Style Egg Waffles of course or what they call "bubble puffs" here but I wasn't in the food for a full dessert! Just from their tea selection though, I definitely will be coming back for tea and the bubble puffs, too, the next time I'm in the area! I got the Mango Green Tea with Boba and I convinced by friend to get the Honey Lemon Tea (its a Hong Kong Style drink) that is a refreshing and delicious combination. The boba was made fresh (you know it by the texture and taste) and the mango chuncks were a added bonus. Loved every sip! Will definitely be back.
google avatar

jingyue w.

Yelp
Nice boba, delicious food, friendly workers, relaxing musics, good place for me to enjoy my time chatting with friends and doing my work. Ps: There are two mini machines (called Mini super crane) to catch cute dolls, the claw is not loose.
google avatar

Haylie T.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of HK egg waffles and have tried many places in the SGV/626 area. Bubble Puff & Tea by far has one of the best egg waffles (aka bubble puffs) out there. The batter is rich in flavor and light making it nice and crispy. I always get the traditional/original flavor with mochi inside but decided to try something new this time. Got the matcha flavor puffs with mochi. The matcha flavor is not as strong but still very good. The drinks are good as well. This shop doesnt offer much parking so you will have to street park or park at the close by plaza and walk over.

Yelp
We went around 10 am on a Thursday and the cafe was nice and had a great atmosphere. The tables were clean and it was nice and cool inside, with plenty of seating. The staff was accommodating. We ordered the Thai milk tea with golden boba, Uji matcha latte with messy boba and Coffee milk tea with honey boba. The Thai te was 50% sweetness, matcha was 75% sweetness, and coffee was full sweetness. The boba was very QQ and had a good chewy texture. The matcha was good as well, not too milky with a strong tea flavor. It was a good sweetness and the messy boba makes drinks sweeter so it ended up being perfect. The Thai tea however was too sweet even though it was 50%. The coffee, on the other hand, was not sweet enough, even though it was full sweetness. None of the drinks were terrible, but the sugar levels were rather inconsistent. I still recommend this shop, since both their food and drinks are wonderful! Great location and interior is clean and comfortable.
google avatar

Deku S.

Yelp
Great customer atmosphere and service. This location used to be au79, which was incredible. Bubble Puff's teas are way too strong, they are bitter and too caffeinated. I have bubble tea near daily and i've never got so nervous from a milk tea. Its not only the caffeine which is the issue, but the taste is unpleasant because of it. I will start trying the other boba places on the block.
google avatar

Nour S.

Yelp
I ordered a Strawberry Tea with Popping Boba. I liked it a lot. I thought it was really refreshing. I loved how it has pieces of strawberry inside. Honestly an amazing drink overall. However, I noticed there's only one staff member, which would be explain why I had to wait over 15 minutes for my drink. The woman was really nice. I also ordered a Nutella Waffle but as you can see, there was barely any Nutella. So I went up to the staff member and she instantly told me I could have more Nutella for $2... I did get extra Nutella but how come it's a Nutella waffle with barely any Nutella to begin with? I must admit, those $2 were worth it. I got a whole glass. The ambiance was quiet with a little background music. You could really have your privacy there which I appreciate. I'd recommend this place, but honestly expect to wait for your order and don't forget to ask for extra Nutella!
google avatar

Melissa S.

Yelp
I love this place. It's almost dangerous for my wallet to have nearby! Great interior with lots of seating, nice staff, and great boba. The latte with messy boba is my go-to (25% sweet is plenty). So good

Sera X.

Yelp
The durian tapioca is AMAZING!!! There is literally durian in the drink. Love it a lot You have the option to add mochi in the puff which is so unique and taste really good as well
google avatar

Vivian F.

Yelp
The waffle is still as good as last time. It always reminds me of the egg waffle I've had when I was in hongkong. I didn't expect that I could get it here. The staff highly recommended their matcha latte. She told me their matcha is imported from Japan and I was surprised because I know that is pretty expensive. And I could tell it is definitely not a cheap matcha powder because of the taste and the color. A fine quality matcha powder is that you can tell from the bright green and fresh taste, without any clumps. Wish they could have a bigger size because small size is definitely not enough!

Michelle S.

Yelp
come here all the time after class to get the matcha wave (soo delicious) when i first went, i got the strawberry tornado, then i tried their mango tango, then chocolate cloud, their matcha latte, and their strawberry meets uji which is so yummy i love to get it ! not only do i get a drink, but i also like to get their french fries and popcorn chicken (mild). the sauce they provide for the popcorn chicken is actually the cherry on top ! it pairs amazingly! the only and i mean ONLY con i have, is that their portion size for "to go" and "dine in" are very different. when i dine in, the serving is perfect and i get a good portion for price. but when i order to go, the portion lowers even though its the same price. wish the portion for to go and dine in were similar big portion. other than that, the place is great to stop by! the employees are very nice and never had a negative experience! they have free wifi and a bathroom, perfect place to chill with your friends or alone. below are some photos i've taken from some of my visits !

Yelp
location & parking: located perfectly across the street from PCC / chickfila! there is a private parking lot but it is super tight, old, and has limited spaces. not very convenient but you van always park on the streets. food & drinks: drinks are pretty competitively priced from $5-7. we ordered a osmanthus milk tea and a honey lemon tea! their tea flavors could be a bit stronger, but they werent bad. just nothing special. the popcorn chicken was around $8 and the portion was quite small. great flavor and perfectly cooked tho! service: came on a tuesday afternoon and it was pretty calm and quiet. upon walking in, you order on the kiosk on your own if youre paying with card and order at the register if you are paying with cash! the staff were fast and nice. vibes: the ambiance is chill, seems like a great place to work as it was quiet, well lit, and had ample seating options. note: be careful if you park in the private parking lot! it is just a really tight and small lot, had to move very slowly and carefully to back out of there. also, their lot is marked with the shop name. overall: 4/5 stars, with a combination of everything. its a solid place, and id come back! just maybe park on the street or walk over.

Yelp
My friends and I were looking for a boba place in the area and it wasn't easy to find one that's open after 8pm on a Friday in Pasadena... we were very excited to try this place. I had the orange green tea with honey boba. It was very refreshing. I do wish they added a bit more tea and orange juice because it was kinda bland. Overall, pricing was great, customer service is good. I can't wait to try the bubble puffs next time. Oh, avoid the parking lot at all cost. Trust me.
google avatar

LARUGI P.

Yelp
My new favorite spot for boba and some yummy snacks! Their drinks are great, love the fact that you can control sugar levels. (Huge plus!) It's super cute inside, during the week it's pretty busy with PCC students, but weekends mornings are super chill. I'll be back for sure!
google avatar

Simone A.

Yelp
Best boba tea I've ever had! I tried their Thai tea for the first time and it was amazing! The tea was perfectly creamy, sweet and refreshing. The boba was cooked well(except for a few outliers) and perfectly round and chewy! I can't wait to come again!
google avatar

Prinx M.

Yelp
This place is decent for a boba place! It tastes almost like authentic boba made traditionally! They also have other sweets and snack that are delicious too! The service is good and the place design is nice.

Tutu C.

Yelp
Yesss best boba place near Pcc The original bubble puff! Yummmmmmmmmmmm Chicken sandwich Yummmmmmm The service is... slow.. but I promise you it worth the wait
google avatar

Therese G.

Yelp
New location with a parking lot in back! Very spacious and modern. Love all the refreshing fresh fruit flavors. I'm coming back for the Bubble Puff egg waffle filled with your choice of delicios things and then topped with ice cream if you'd like. They have snacks and rice dishes too. Fresh fresh!!!
google avatar

Rachel L.

Yelp
I absolutely loved the mango tango I got today (50% sweetness). of course the original bubble puff with pork sung is my favorite but the original bubble puff with mochi has to be a close second!! the service here is unmatched and there's not a better egg waffle/boba place in the SGV in my opinion
google avatar

Yolanda M.

Yelp
1 star off for the weird smell that hit you right when you walk in the door. It's kind of like mildew or maybe even sewage. It's rather unfortunate because the drinks are quite good. I was very pleased to see a non-caffeinated blueberry tea called Blueberry Kick. I can't do caffeine after 2:00 p.m. so I was very happy about this. The decor is rather plain, really non-existent, but they do have comfortable padded seating among the wall. I will say that after awhile you don't notice the smell, so your call.
google avatar

Yelp
Clean decor, easy self-order service and nice service Best brown sugar milk tea I've had :D Chewy boba texture too Also good popcorn chicken, might need more basil flavor though
