The Best Chinese Food in Richmond, British Columbia | Eater Seattle

"Popular with the teen crowd but a refreshing revelation for all ages, Bubble Queen serves a wide variety of candy-infused (think Ferrero Rocher and Maltesers) bubble teas, soft serve ice cream, and bubble waffles. The best bet, in season, is a mango slush that’s brimming with fresh mango slices on top and tapioca balls at the bottom. You’ll need a spoon to scoop it all out." - Jay Friedman

Google
I’ve been coming to Bubble Queen since 2017, and it’s still my favourite spot for mango drinks. I always get the mango slush or Ferraro rocher slush and it’s the best one in Vancouver and Richmond. They use real mango and puree, not the fake powder or syrup stuff that so many other places do. You can really taste the difference. Their bubble waffles are also crispy, warm, and just really satisfying every time. It’s one of those spots that’s stayed consistent over the years, and that’s super rare. I’ve tried a bunch of other mango drink places, but I always end up coming back here. It’s just that good.

This is not a quick bubble tea cafe. I waited 15 mins for my order and I didn’t feel it was very busy. However, the Mango Cube was as good as it gets! If you are a mango lover like I am, this is the drink for you. It’s pricey, but you get a tone of mango. 🥭

Google
The $13 mango slush is fantastic and worth every penny. My review is based on being charged $0.15 for an additional straw after accidentally damaging my original one. While the amount is trivial and they ultimately let me have an extra straw, this kind of micro-transaction feels out of place for a business offering such a high-quality, premium product. It creates an unnecessary moment of friction in an otherwise excellent customer experience. If much rather pay $14 for the bubble tea but not have been met with having to pay 15c for an additional straw.

Google
This place used to be my go to for bubble waffles but I guess quality control is a major issue now. Just got this matcha bubble waffle yesterday and I don't know if it's an issue with how much batter they use or how they cook it, but the waffle literally split in two and middle is empty. Just two sides of a shell. Tldr: Don't waste $7 on a bad bbbyble waffle here.

Google
Love the little cute decor, the basic drink was really good. Never disappoint even once so far.

Google
Probably the most expensive bubble tea I’ve ever gotten but I got no regrets! You pay for the quality ingredients they use - from the fruit to the milk options. It was delicious 🤤! I swear they used a whole mango for my drink 🥭. I was mango’d out after! It was a whole meal. Oh and the strawberry one was delicious as well but I’d still go for mango again next time (cause it’s my fav fruit and the drink is amazing!)

Google
Would definitely recommend this place. Really good menu with lots of variety. We got favourite mix fruit mango raspberry which was yummy. Also there, ginger jasmine tea and bubble waffle was delicious. Will visit this place again for sure.

Google
Bubble Queen deserves 6/5 stars for the delicious fresh fruit blended teas and the amazing soft serve ice cream. My daughter and i visited today and had the malteezer soft serve ice cream . This is one of Richmond’s hidden gems that if you have the opportunity you should check out !

Yelp
Fairly limited menu in comparison to some of the other BBT joints out there. Drinks tasted great. Too bad it was such a ridiculously long wait for it to get made, hence why I subtracted a star. Maybe they were short staffed? There were two people working. Limited seating inside. When we went Friday evening, there were no tables open, minus a couple of seats at the counter. Mind you, an occupied table doesn't mean the seats were all full. Free street parking available.

Yelp
I frequently visit this bubble tea shop because they offer a variety of unique bubble teas, bubble waffles, and desserts. We visited to get the Mango Slush and their special menu item, the Golden Oreo Doggy Soft Serve. The Mango Slush was great as usual. It had plenty of mango pieces on top, and the slush itself was very smooth with the perfect level of sweetness. The Golden Oreo Doggy Soft Serve had a cute doggy-shaped sugar dessert on top of lemon soft serve, along with crumble, pearls, and pudding. The soft serve was much larger than I expected. The pudding was delicious, and the crumble added a nice accent, making it a really delightful dessert. It's definitely worth visiting and trying these desserts. This place is my regular bubble tea spot, and I look forward to trying a different menu item on my next visit.

Yelp
Very nostalgic spot for bubble tea. The mango drinks are always fantastic but on the pricier side now. Mochi egg waffle came out hot and delicious. Service was nice and prompt. Some seating is available.

Yelp
Perhaps I visited this bubble tea cafe at the wrong time. It was very noisy - a guy who was talking over 80dB on the next table... and the music was also playing loud... that made me headache. It wasn't difficult to find this place where I was expecting to enjoy a relaxing moment with a cup of tea or coffee. Anyway, beverages here are good despite the noise really ruined the mood. The tables are not clean and seemed nobody do the tidying. We requested no ice for the bubble tea but they forgot it, even no strew for the drink. Verdict: Drinks: 4/5 Hygiene: 3/5 Ambient : 4/5 Vibes: 2/5 Service: 2/5 The bubble waffle and drinks were fine. I hope the shop keeper can rectify the issues.

Yelp
We stopped by Bubble Queen in Richmond awhile back, when it was still Cherry Blossom Season and ordered the following: Sakura Matcha Ice Cream Lychee Slush Portuguese Egg Tart Bubble Waffle The Lychee Slush and Sakura Matcha Ice Cream were both tasty; while the Sakura Matcha was pretty when we dug into it with our spoons, we discovered that it was hollow in the middle. The ice cream was dispensed in a way such that it swirled around on the outside and appeared to be a big, tall mound of ice cream, but the centre of the cup was empty. This was quite disappointing for us. The Portuguese Egg Tart Bubble Waffle was "meh". We've had a much better Portuguese Egg Tart Bubble Waffle elsewhere. I think if we try Bubble Waffle at this place again, we might stick with a more basic flavor next time. Service: Good Parking: Paid parking Location: 8888 Odlin Crescent #1180, Richmond

Yelp
Such a unique hole in the wall boba shop! They are best known for their mango cube slushies and bubble waffles. I got their mango cube slushie and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The drink had a spot on flavor and the mango cubes were so good and fun to scoop out. There isn't much indoor seating so it's not great for big groups. But otherwise a very solid spot that I want to go back to.

Anny W.

Yelp
Loved both the mango raspberry fruit smoothie and the seasame red bean slush! And the seasame waffle. We had one of their mango drinks for the first time in the summer and have been missing it since then. It's unavailable this time as it's seasonal. But the alternatives we ordered are just awesome.

Yelp
I was in Richmond and wanted to grab a quick boba drink to go. Found this place and decided to give it a shot. I stopped by Thurdsay afternoon at 5 pm and there was only one person ordering in front of me. Wasn't very busy at all. They offer a good selection of fruit drinks and teas as well as slushes. In addition, they also have soft serve and different flavored bubble waffles. Sadly they were sold out of their mango cubes slush that day. I ordered two drinks - a mango milk tea ($5) at 50% sugar and an original milk tea ($4.50) at 50% sugar and with caramel pudding. Both were delicious. My milk tea had the perfect balance of tea, milk, and sugar without any of the components being too overwhelming. I would definitely come back next time I'm in the area to try other drinks!

Yelp
Boba was good. Milk tea was also good but inconsistent--initially very tasty, but less so towards the end. Weird. It's kind of a crowded field here though, so it's tough to stand out.

Yelp
Wow, what an amazing dessert experience. We have the mango special and milk tea. Both were delicious!

Yelp
I was only here for this signature drink... Mango Cubes Slush.. @bubblequeencafe I didn't come to this place for 2+ years. I was quite shocked when I saw the price. I paid extra $1 for upsizing to large. The drink didn't disappoint me and it's definitely worth a visit. This drink is still very fruity. I love this thick mango slush with fresh mango cubes on top. Yelp
Best premium mango slush tea. They use fresh mangoes and always so delicious. Service could be little faster but for quality drink I get, I don't mind if waiting. If you're a regular visitor like me, they also have stamp card on which after 6 drinks, you get 5$ off of your order.

Yelp
i ordered 75% sugar - wheat germ milk tea... toooooooooo sweet!!!!!!!!!! and the wheat germ doesn't taste as wheat germ!!!!! overall too pricy on this quality!!!!! i believe i should go back to Pxxrl Caxxle during office hour...

Yelp
Who is craving a Bubble Queen during Quarantine ? This area is pretty quiet during Covid 19, so it was nice to have a walk before picking up some drinks for take out The menus are easy to read and the staff was very knowledgeable too Pro tip: call ahead to make sure the pearls are ready, especially during these times since only 1 staff is working in the kitchen We got 1 iced Aloe green tea and 1 ferrero rocher slush. I can adjust the sugar and ice level. The Aloe iced was refreshing and the ferrero was blended smoothly! Can't wait till we can order their soft serves again!
google avatar

Yelp
Bubble Queen is not your regular BBT shop. They are known for their decadent drinks and not so much for their milk tea. Their mango cube slush is one of their most popular drinks but it is seasonal. Also they do sell out early depending on how many ripe mangos they have that day!Another popular drink they have is their Ferrero Rocher drink which is almost like a milkshake/frappuccino. Their drinks are definitely on the sweeter and can fill you as they are not that light!

Yelp
I have been coming here since I don't even remember when. I got to revisit today after 5 years and I am so glad this place is still up and running!! The mango cubes slush is the OG here. I used to bus for 2 hours just to get this slush in high school, and it still tasted so good when I got it today! You can really tell that they use real and high quality ingredients. I also got the original bubble waffle, which was kind of burnt but it still was mochy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. I recommend the matcha bubble waffle more though, I swear it tastes like chocolate. I can still remember the taste from the old days. Definitely check out Bubble Queen!!! They also have milk alternatives like oat and soy milk. 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
Stopped by on a Saturday with the whole family. The place was packed, but by the time we got our drinks and table was open. We ordered oreo slush with pearls, coffee cookie slush with pearls, mango slush with mochi, chocolate bubble waffle and toffee chip bubble waffle. It was pricey, but everything was amazing and all four of us were full. Will definitely be coming back for another drink with mochi!
google avatar

Yelp
If you want mango bubble tea, go to Bubble Queen. It's the best mango drink in the whole Lower Mainland. While others have precut mango laying open all day, BQ cubes fresh mango while you wait. Super tasty

JoJo W.

Yelp
The mango cube slush/smoothie wasn't very good - no taste at all and it wasn't even cold at room temperature. Drink was over $15. I will not go back again.

Yelp
Bubble Queen Richmond OPEN TUESDAY THURSDAY SATURDAY 2-9PM Inspired by @vancouverfoodie's post about Bubble Queen that I had to post about it too! this is the mango cubes slush $8.75 The hype is so real and it's worth it! I would definitely call ahead because they do get busy on Saturday so go on the other days. The slush is so creamy and soft. The fresh mangos really makes the difference. Honestly no other bbt place does mango slush like this place. As well they have other delicious drinks like speciality chocolate drinks and super fresh fruit smoothies !! went and got all the toppings! It was a splurge but it's so worth it! I believe pearls and coconut jelly are free with it! They have delicious mochi bubble waffle too but bubble waffles take 15 minutes because it's freshly made so call ahead if you rather not wait! The interior is so classy and pretty. Limited seating! Toppings Pearls 10/10 so soft and they're warm!! That's when you know it's fresh Coconut jelly 10/10 you can't go wrong with it and it's pretty refreshing Mango mochi 10/10 - it's INCREDIBLE!!! A must have because it's perfectly chewy and soft. Regular mochi 9/10 - just as good but I would get the mango mochi over the regular one Mango Star jelly 9/10 - basically a more firm coconut jelly and it goes well! I won't get it again just so I have more slush vs topping Pudding 9/10 it's super silky and soft! Wouldn't get it again because I think I put too many toppings haha Tried the malteser slush with mint $6.80! I hadn't tried their chocolate series but man it's delicious!! Super refreshing and the mint helps with the heaviness.

Yelp
After failing to get on an earlier flight at the airport, my bf and I decided to explore the Richmond area to kill time. Bubble Queen was one of the more highly rated places we found on Yelp, so we walked there from the Aberdeen Canada Line Station. We ordered the Peach Green Tea with boba, Jasmine Milk Green Tea with boba, and also an Oreo and Mochi Bubble Waffle. The tea is definitely not as good as Ten Ren's or Tea Station because it tasted artificial from the cheap syrup, but I did like the boba. It was very chewy and not overly sweet from the marinade. Comparing the Bubble Waffle to the ones that I've had at Tasty Garden or the 626 Night Market, I actually enjoyed this one a lot better. There's a ton of Oreo and mochi filling in the waffle, so I was quite full after a couple bites. Overall, I would not recommend getting a drink here, but I would definitely recommend the tasty Bubble Waffle. Servers were also very friendly and efficient.

Yelp
if you're an ultimate mango lover like me, this is the drink for you! This slush is packed full of mango chunks and you won't be disappointed. You can get this with or without milk, I chose without. It's definitely a splurge, but for special occasions I don't see why this can't be the perfect drink. Picture from my Instagram: @jamiekloeats

Yelp
Love their mange smoothie with mango cube. This drink is a special at their shop and it's a season selection so I'm always happy to order when it's mango season.

Yelp
Chinese visitor from San Francisco here! This place took HALF AN HOUR to find. When you get to Pacific Plaza (which is where it is located) do not go inside! It's actually on the outside perimeter, so just walk around the block. We ordered the black milk tea, jasmine milk tea, coconut milk tea, and mango milk tea. The mango milk tea and coconut were surprisingly very good. The jasmine was a bit bland, so I asked for a little more sweetness and they were more than happy to fix my drink. Black milk tea tasted legit. The tapioca was good too. Overall, worth the 30 minutes it took to find this place!

Yelp
It's actually so fire. The owner Vivian is so nice. Thank you so much. Pushing no kizzazzle

Yelp
An egg waffle/ boba (pearl) gem tucked in an older Asian commercial building. Glad to have my dessert cravings satisfied at this joint the first day I landed YVR. It was an eye-opening experience watching an Asian dessert cooking show LIVE. During my short stay at the shop, Vivian single-handedly prepared every single drink ordered from her 50+ items menu and she also prepared various different flavors (15+ choices) egg waffles while making the boba (pearl) from scratch. AMAZING ! She is for real and not an efficient robot as I tried to engage her in dialogues in the midst of all the live actions. Ordered both the sesame and matcha mochi egg waffle. My cravings were met 100%. Rather than a filling in the original flavored crust, the sesame flavor is infused in the batter into the crispy crust. The same applies to matcha egg waffle filled with warm QQ mochi. DELICIOUS Would love to come back and sample the rest of the top 5 best selling flavors. It's inevitable to order drinks to pair with the egg waffle during a late afternoon break. The papaya milk drink is on point. Please allow me to wrap up my review by sharing 3 different boba tea drinks down below. Bon appetite!

Yelp
Coming from an area that has a lot of boba (aka bubble) drinks, I decided to try out Bubble Queen while in Vancouver because of all the rave about their specialty drinks. Together with my cousins, we ordered the ferrero rocher, toblerone, and mocha cookie specialty drinks. I wish I opted for the non-specialty drinks; they're probably more promising. The ferrero rocher and toblerone drinks felt as if I was drinking melted candy blended with ice to cool. Way too much candy going on. I love both of those candies, but as drinks at bubble queen...never again! The mocha cookie drink was not satisfying either. There was the mocha flavor, but the Oreo cookie was lacking. If I ever go back, I think I'll stick to the teas and fruity drinks. Review 25/100 for 2016

Yelp
Tiny little spot. They are known for their different flavored bubble waffles. We ordered taro. Matcha Mochi. And shredded pork. Bubble waffles without any flavoring is already delicious and flavored mmm Nomnomnom indeed. Bubble waffles or egg waffles are a dessert or street food from Hong Kong. You can get it plain or with some condensed milk. Some yummy stuff if you've never tried it. The bubble waffle can take a while and if you're in a hurry, you can call ahead to order a waffle. I believe we were waiting for about 15 minutes. Street parking only. CASH ONLY

Venus K.

Yelp
: Oreo slush w pearls+ Mango flavour mochi slush : $6.80~ + $7 Rating: [4.75/5] Review : The mango slush was sooooo creamy & tasted absolutely delicious. The mangoes & mochi were fresh & we loved the chewy + soft texture. The Oreo was good as well & but not the best compared to the mango. Both drinks are made with Avalon milk . @bubblequeencafe definitely makes the best mango drinks in town, & it is def worth the hype! Posted more pictures on Instagram: @vncrfoodies

Yelp
Instead of the typical bubble tea found in many places, I love how Bubble Queen differentiates itself from the competition. Adding chocolate and candies to the mix is pretty awesome. Still on a high of Raffaello sauce from Llao Llao yogurt, I tried the Raffaello slush. You get a choice of coconut and pearls. Go with coconut. It is not of the grated type but tastes sea coconut strips (sweet). It is topped with a Raffaello candy. So delicious. With the many choices available, you could technically order one drink every day and still not repeat it within a month. There are also bubble waffle with fillings which look equally good. The place is quite small with sitting space for less than 10 people.

Yelp
Woah! They did a renovation- thank goodness because this place needed an update! You should of seen it before. MUCH nicer now! The lady working here is so sweet and recommended I get the real-fruit mango bbt because it's in season and omg it was SO good! I didn't add any sugar and had it made with almond milk instead of regular milk. If you want a bubble waffle make sure to tell them right away so they can heat up the pan. I had the Matcha Motchi and YUM YUM YUM!!!!! I want another. It was a sunny day so the place was super warm and cozy with the sun beaming through the windows. The place is small but enough seating for around 13 people. They also have a bathroom!
google avatar

Gabriel C.

Yelp
The fresh mango slush here is amazing! I love how they top off the drink with a ton of fresh mango pieces, so you have a pleasant surprise at the bottom of your cup when you're done the actual drink! My friends really like the Maltesers slush and the Ferrero Rocher slushes a lot, but I think I'll just stick with my fresh mango drink! Sometimes I don't even add pearls and I'm still really satisfied. Parking is a bit hectic here and the place is usually packed, but it's definitely worth it! There are often long queues out the door so be prepared to wait!
google avatar

Sydney H.

Yelp
There was a big lineup for this place and had to wait an hour to get in plus getting my drinks. This place should hire more workers for the drinks and one more person for making the bubble waffle. Even though the service is good the process of making the drinks are really slow. However the drinks are pretty good because they offer many different drinks that I have not heard before.
google avatar

Yelp
Bubble Queen is a small "family-owned?" shop and appears to be a bit of a famous hole-in-the-wall. It's located in a business building and so when all the other businesses are closed, the area is pretty deserted (and a bit scary!) They have tons of eats to choose from but since we were trying them out for the first time, decided to go with the safe route of the chocolate bubble waffles at 1/2 sweetened (love the customization of sweetness)! Everyone else was ordering the seasonal mango cube slush so we decided to do the same! Everything was really good but it takes them a LOOONG time to crank things out. Guess we should've called ahead on this order too!

Yelp
The best bubble tea!!! Not sure what makes bubble tea bubble tea and what's the difference between bubble tea and a frappe, but this is the best bubble tea frappe I've ever had!! Try the ferror (sp).. you will not be disappointed
google avatar

Edward L.

Yelp
Special mention goes to their Orange Kit-Kat bubble tea - you get all your food groups in one shot. There's the orange fruit, your vegetables (Chocolate is a vegetable, I says) and the whipped cream up top covers your dairy. Okay, you'll need to get your steak elsewhere. My only complaint is that the Kit Kat wasn't ground up finely enough - several chunks got stuck even though I had the bubble-sized straws. First world problems. Truly beautiful. Recommended.

Yelp
Bubble Queen is well known in Vancouver as one of those local branded bubble tea shops with many positive ratings. More importantly, they're quite known for their slushes. But I'm a little torn after coming here since I'm not sure if this is the kinda drink I would order on a regular basis. Bubble tea can either be made more Taiwanese style (like Coco, Gong Cha or Chatime) or as in the case with Bubble Queen more in a Chinese-Canadian (CBC) style. For me, the difference is that slushes from Taiwan are much lighter in flavour because it feels kinda gross to feel full and be outside in 35 degree celsius weather. Bubble Queen follows the more CBC style where the drink is more like a smoothie with pearls thrown in (I mean anything with pearls can become bubble tea, right?). So my berry slush was alright but it was really thick and made me feel very full afterwards. I can't imagine if someone got the ferrero rocher or another one of the chocolate slush drinks - they're just way too sweet and filling. I suppose then this is a matter of preference, if you like this kind of slush then you're set to go. Overall, my feeling is that most people don't want to have a slightly bloated feeling after having such a heavy drink. So approach with caution, know yourself so you can find the drink that best suits you.
google avatar

Denise W.

Yelp
I have to say this place is pretty busy. I came here on an afternoon and I had to line up for say 15 mins to place my order and another 10 mins to get my drink. They have interesting flavors like kit kat slushy etc, that you don't normally find at other bubble tea places. They have about 5 people working at the back making the drinks. So the place is pretty open and that is assurance that the drink will come out as a thumbs up. As well, the person taking the order was quite friendly. There are lots of parking in the parkade because it is located in a pretty dead mall where you won't find a lot of people inside. I had the lychee Calpris with coconut jelly. Love the coconut jelly. I will come back for other things.
google avatar

Yelp
We came here solely for their stuffed waffle bubbles and it did not disappoint. We had black sesame bubbles and it tasted great. The fillings could use some more black sesame and have more moisture though, but I was happy with what we got. The place is tiny FYI, so I could imagine it getting crowded during peak hours.

Yelp
Let's definitely establish that not all Bubble Queens are the same as the others. This one in particular has had the nicest staff I've met during all my Vancouver/Richmond trips so far, the place was aesthetic and it was quiet enough to just sit back and chill with friends. The quality of the boba was pretty good! I had two complicated orders but it also included just a normal milk tea which was prepared quickly and from what I can gather, it was well made! Not too sweet, I didn't feel bloated, and just enough ice. The bubble waffle itself was gooey, warm and an absolute must order if you have the room. Highly recommend any of their fruity waffles too!

Yelp
The bubble tea and bubble waffles are okay, a little overrated in our books. We would only go to Bubble Queen if we happened to be in the area, never out of our way though. They do have a large selection of drinks and waffles which is nice.

Yelp
Still just as good as 5 years ago. Luv the Toffee Chips Bubble waffle & Mango Slushy

Yelp
A group of 5 of us came in around 2:30pm on a Saturday. There was no other customers there and the staff greeted us immediately. We got plenty of time to make our choices and the drinks were made relatively quickly. The drinks that are special here are the candy flavored drinks. This is advertised by all the candy boxes they make and put around the restaurant and thus you get the idea that the candys are not artificial flavors, but actually from the candy itself. I also went one other time on a Friday night at around 9:30pm. This was very different since it was packed FULL and you couldn't even get inside once you open the door. It was difficult to order. But I guess that was peak hours. It took 30 minutes to get a drink that time... Altogether, the drinks are high quality here and the staff were relatively friendly. They've been here for years and I'd return if I was in the area.

Yelp
Best mango fresh fruit juice hands WAYYYYY down in the city. I have also salivated over their strawberry mango, mango cantaloupe, mango kiwi.......Their blender is so good it makes everything soooooo smoooth like honey. I drive like 45 mins just to treat myself and get my bubble tea drug. Friendly service as well!! Drinks are not cheap but it's like paying for a Mercedes instead of a Kia bubble tea lol. Fruit always Uber fresh. Not all Bubble tea is made the same!!! Thanks bubble queen!!
google avatar

Ida N.

Yelp
Most amazing Ferrero Rocher bubble tea ever made with real crushed up Ferrero Rocher. I would highly recommend this place! They have lots of bubble tea options, a lot of which are made with real chocolate including KitKat and Kinder Bueno. Good to know: they only take cash and there isn't a ton of place to sit.

Yelp
I haven't frequented this place for a while but when my friend asked for some good bubble waffle, Yelp took me back here. We arrived 40 minutes before opening but the girl working there was super nice and let us in, letting us know it might be an extra 15 minute wait for the bubble waffle maker to get warmed up. Regardless, we were so grateful she let us in and out of the rainy cold. Reason for the 5 stars: Matcha Mochi Bubble Waffle!!! This was a life changing bubble waffle. The bubble waffle was fresh, hot and had a very good rich matcha flavour. The mochi inside was chewy and gooey, yet the bubble waffle was still crispy on the outside. It was the perfect textures of crispy and chewy and perfect tastes of matcha and sweet mochi. They continue to serve decadent bubble teas filled with oreos, mangoes, kit kat, ferrero rocher, etc... They also serve many other choices of filled and non-filled bubble waffles like taro, sesame, orange, original, etc... Overall, super happy with my return here and there will be many more for their Matcha Mochi Bubble Waffle and for under $5 too!

Yelp
Props to this place for being so unique with creatives drinks and bubble waffles. Hidden dessert place in Richmond which only takes cash. It's a very small place so I would advise you to order your stuff and take it to go. Don't go with such a large group as you'll just have to stand outside. I ordered the after eight slush and it was watered down. The wait can be exhausting especially when you go during prime times. Also, their cup sizes actually changed now but I noticed the cup sizes are different depending on what you order? Pretty pricey for the size I had - $6ish. Always loves their bubble waffles, have to try it! Would recommend this place if you never been though if you wanted to try something different!

Yelp
What you get is early on-set diabetes in a cup, and everything about it is glorious. Bubble Queen is unique, serving up flavour combinations I've never had anywhere else. In 2014 we were flying from Toronto to Hawaii and had a 3 hour layover in Vancouver, and going to Bubble Queen to catch up with a friend was the best way to spend that time. I have yet to forget about my magical Bubble Queen experience, so I decided to express my love for it via Yelp. I had the Orange Kit Kat, which tastes like an orange creamsicle with bits of Kit Kat blended in it. In other words, it was heavenly. It was sweet, thick and creamy, and unlike any bubble tea I've ever had in Toronto (it really isn't a tea, it's more like a smoothie/shake). We went during the lunch hour and the wait took some time for us to get our order and receive our drinks, but they can be overlooked because of decadence in a cup you get to enjoy. I urge everyone visiting Vancity to make a pit stop here. They are doing bubble tea right.

Yelp
Rumours of how great Asian/Chinese food is in vancouver. Stopped here for some quick dessert as they took card(didn't have CAD yet) and this was in an Asia mall area where most places only took cash! Had there "bubble waffle" which we call eggettes. Had the white chocolate strawberry(added mochi) and the Ferraro shake(supposedly one of the most popular) and friends go the peanut butter something bubble waffle. The bubble waffles were no crispy enough though the flavouring was good and unique. I loved the mochi in my bubble waffle because it was in the whole waffle including the rims as you pull each individual bubble off. Most other places I've tried will have the invidious look mochi inside the bubble itself which is totally diff. The Ferraro shake was tasty though I can't imagine how many calories is in that thing! They have candy EVERYWHERE in the store as they use it to make their chocolate and candy themed shakes. Would return in future to try diff drinks and bubble waffle. Pretty unique and remind me of HK snack shops
