We love bubble tea, and I've had bubble waffles on my food bucket list for quite awhile now. As we are able to go out a little more I figured Partridge Creek, an outdoor mall, might be a good place for us to start. I have seen this place in the past, and put it on the to-do list, so when I saw they were open and had waffles I decided to venture out and try it.
Honestly, I am giving this place a 3.5! It is a small store front, good size for carry-out customers. They had the door open and disposable paper menus in the front so you can decide what to order as you wait in line. People were very good about distancing and wearing masks to order before they were able to consume food/ drink. The workers were very polite and had masks and/ or gloves to handle the food. There was a consistent amount of customers, which is good for a business to stay open. (This is important for this mall since they lost both anchors, and I want to see businesses succeed). Even though the lines were long from time to time, the employees seemed to have a good system down to make the teas and waffle orders in a timely manner.
They have a nice size bubble tea menu with jellies, boboas, and popping pearls. My husband got the blended mocha. He ordered the medium, which ended up being huge (which is nice, I love value)! As far as the taste, it was good, but a bit light and a bit underwhelming. He was hoping for a bolder taste. But the consistency was nice, good for people who are not looking for a coffee experience, but are looking for a coffee flavored beverage.
The kids and I had the waffles. They are a bit pricey, and the toppings can add up, but I liked that they gave you two huge scoops of gelato and you could mix and match flavors. We tried the vanilla and the chocolate waffles. Not too much difference in taste, they were a bit dry, but pared well when dipping the ice cream into it. The gelato also did not have a very strong flavor. The dark chocolate looked dark, but was not very intense. The salted caramel tasted like vanilla. They were pretty light on putting on the toppings. So I do not think this was the best ice cream experience in the area. On the other hand, it was still pretty tasty and the kids would like to come back and bring friends next time.
Inside they had limited seating, but they allowed us to eat there, and not too many people stuck around inside. Outside the mall had plenty of seating for people to enjoy their treats.
It is a cute shop and while it is not the absolute best bubble tea/ gelato in town, it is a place I would recommend for a nice afternoon and a hankering for a sweet treat.
