I recently visited Indiana for the first time due to my job assignment, and I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. On the day of my departure, I had some time to spare at the airport (you can do that at this location because it wasn't busy). I don't take smaller airports for granted. Living in a city with an extremely busy airport makes you appreciate a more relaxed environment. Anyway, I knew I wanted to grab a bite to eat and was in the mood for a really good burger, so I decided to try Bub's Burgers. There was a line, so in my mind, I was thinking, "This must be good...lol." My sister was traveling with me, and she ordered a chicken sandwich, while I opted for the single patty burger. We also shared some fries.
They prepare your food fresh to order, so there was a short wait. I think we waited for about 15 minutes before they had our order ready. Okay, so let me tell you, this burger was amazing! The bread was buttery and toasted to perfection. The burger was a 100% meat patty, not the fake stuff. I only wanted cheese, mayo, and ketchup (I mean, really, that's all you need on a burger), and the cheese was melted to perfection. The burger wasn't sloppy; it was well put together. I asked my sister how she liked her grilled chicken sandwich, and she loved it. The chicken was juicy and not dry like some grilled sandwiches. The lettuce was crisp, and the sandwich was delicious. As for the fries, those were excellent too! Well-seasoned but not too salty (some places don't know how to do this). I am looking forward to going back to Indiana and visiting Bub's again. If you find yourself at the Indianapolis airport and don't know what to eat, Bub's Burgers is the place to go.
