Parkview Tavern Is Staying Put — For Now | Eater New Orleans

"I saw that Bub’s, a one-time pop-up that found great success in its Mid-City home attached to Banks Street Bar, became a citywide favorite for burgers after opening its first restaurant in 2021 and is expanding into a small space at 5031 Freret Street, with the new outpost expected to open in late summer or early fall." - Clair Lorell

Great juicy burgers. I tried the peanut butter burger on a recommendation from someone who loves it. It was interesting but not for me there were two distinct flavors, PB and burger. Absolutely nothing wrong with it but the double burger I tasted is what I will order when I come back again. Fries were good but onion rings were great, crunchy, salty and tasty. Definitely recommend. Also liked the option to add on several different sauces, including jelly. NO has many burger options and this is one that should be a must try.

Your basic, no frills, good ol’ Smash burger & fries. Quick and easy counter service with self serve drinks from the cooler. Perfect for a Grab-&-Go burger. Limited street parking is the only problem. 😎👍

If you’re on the hunt for a top-tier smash burger, Bub’s Burgers absolutely delivers. I ordered the Bub Burger, and every bite was perfection. The two juicy patties made from tender beef, grilled onions, melty American cheese, tangy B&B pickles, and their signature Bub sauce created the ultimate burger experience. The sauce reminded me of a Big Mac sauce, only better. It’s richer, creamier, and much more satisfying. What truly sets it apart, though, is the potato bun. Soft, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the fillings, it elevates the entire burger beyond any other smash burger I’ve had. The staff was extremely friendly, the service was quick, and the atmosphere at the Freret Street location added to the experience. It’s a tiny spot with only three seats, but it has a cool, funky vibe that makes it memorable. Highly recommend!

Bub’s Nola was pretty cool. The burger came out super quick during a busy lunch time, and the staff were very friendly. Not too many places to sit because they’re grab and go, which was totally fine. Recommend going for a burger craving

The Curry burger special gave me an out of body experience. The pepperjack cheese was crisped to perfection, cucumber slaw was delectable, and the friend onion rings enhanced this burger with the right amount of crunch. Each bite became more and more packed with flavor, that my taste buds might have actually exploded. My god but the CURRY SAUCE. Please bottle that up and sell, take my money, I need 20 of them. Overall 1000000/10 experience and the guy who took my order was kinda cute too.

Older guy with the glasses and long straggly hair was a total prick to me last night. He was very rude to me and basically mansplained to me that he couldn't answer the phone because they were so busy all with such a negative tone and whacky smile on his face. This is why I stay going to the one on banks. That man was so miserable I legit walked away after our interaction and didn't order anything.

I ordered my food as take out and they had it ready within 5 minutes of me being there. The food was so good I would highly recommend this restaurant if you need to be in and out fast.

I really enjoyed the burger, but I did find it a little greasy. My brother in law got the hot sausage sandwich, and we both said we would go back for it again. Overall a solid experience, and I would go back for their happy hour deals!
