"Buca’s Tuscan Roadhouse is the best Italian restaurant on the Cape. Order the veal scallopini or the cacciucco, a medley of mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp, and fresh fish in a rich tomato sauce, and always save room for dessert. Both the blueberry crisp and hazelnut torte with figs make the most of the seasonal produce, but there’s also a great tiramisu if you want to keep things classic. The atmosphere kind of feels like a moodier Olive Garden in the best way possible, with red-and-white checkered tablecloths and white string lights hanging from above. There’s also a seemingly never-ending wine list of over 100 bottles." - jennifer mattson

Bucas is a great place for delicious Italian food, topped off with great drinks and a friendly staff. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, especially in the winter. It's on the pricey side, but it is worth it--especially for a special occasion.

Found this place via a google search and went on a whim. Got super lucky and scored a table but I would absolutely recommend reservations. We were all very pleased with our meals. Highly recommended this gem.

I liked how cozy this place was. The server was so kind and friendly. She didn’t mind my indecisive self when tasting and changing my wine order. Liked the little neck clams in my pasta.

This place is wildly overrated. We live 5 mins from here for years now, and we will never be back. We went last summer for the first time and it was a memorable experience alright- in a bad way. The service was some of the most annoying I’ve ever had. The server took almost 35 minutes (I’m not even remotely joking) to get me wine. She kept insisting I try a different wine, when I asked for the same as my wife’s several times over, starting with the first failed sample test. This happened 4 times, and each time took several minutes to 10 minutes per glass. I didn’t want any of the samples. I just wanted what my wife had. I said it multiple, multiple times. All 4 samples were terrible, and I like most reds. Now to the food- I can’t recall what pasta dishes we had, I believe it was the chicken piccata and a red sauce dish I forget but we both were very underwhelmed. Extremely salty, sauce wasn’t good- absolutely nothing great in the entire meal. From what I remember, the food was so bad I left visibly annoyed with the entire experience. I didn’t even mention the very dated and dark interior, which is completely covered in dust across the entire place- especially in the things hanging from the ceiling. The prices are absolutely laughable, never mind for the fact that the food is some of the worst Italian food I’ve had in my life. We will never eat here again, even if the food was free.

Google
One of my new favorite places on the Cape!! GLUTEN FREE FRIENDLY- they brought me a gf roll when everyone else got bread, and they have amazing gf pasta!!! I got the pesto pasta and it was AMAZING. Their appetizers are just as insane as their dishes. I recommend the artichoke hearts wrapped in prosciutto (I don't even like artichoke and I was dreaming of these after eating them.)

Last night we went to Buca’s and had a fabulous experience. I would consider this to be one of the best restaurants we have on Cape. Our server, Omari, was excellent—so attentive and pleasant. The menu was intensive and included multiple delicious sounded specials for the evening. We had fun over ordering starting with incredible Aransini balls with lobster in a vodka sauce, Burratta, garlic bread and mussels in a spicy tomato sauce. We also shared a romaine salad that had a very special dressing and was grilled. All apps were perfectly prepared and delicious. Following the apps, we had the shrimp scampi, Gorgonzola in a cream sauce with pappardelle and chicken parm. Everything was wonderful, especially the chicken parm. The wine list was very extensive as well. Lastly we barely had room but managed to finish with the house special dessert (chocolate raspberry torte) and the dessert sampler. We also had the chocolate martini and Italian wedding cake martini. Surprise surprise, all was delicious too. Truly. Also, everything was perfectly paced, we never felt rushed. If you’re looking for a wonderful fine dining experience from start to finish, this is the place.

My husband and I were there for the first time on a Tuesday night for my birthday, the ambiance was excellent! The server was wonderful and very patient with me considering I'm a very picky eater. She definitely made my night feel special and I got everything I wanted and the way I wanted it. Thank you for your service and I promise not to be as difficult the next time we return. Thank's again for a lovely evening 😊

Google
Let me start off by saying that I did not make a reservation to this restaurant because I’m not from the area and did not know how popular it was, however, the staff manager was more than welcoming and made sure to find a spot for my girlfriend and I on her birthday. Although it was a very busy night the ambience is romantic, intimate and quiet for the most part, the staff was very attentive and service was relatively fast and friendly. The food here was very flavorful, from the bruschetta appetizer we had, to the chicken parmigiana and the bone-in rib eye, and the special pound cake dessert at the end. In other words I had an amazing experience here with my girlfriend on her birthday and would like to commend the staff for making it possible. I would definitely recommend anyone to have a nice dinner here with their loved one.

Yelp
excellent tuscan restaurant in cape cod. ambiance is lovely, service is attentive and food is excellent. nice selection of choices between sea and land fare. we had the burrata appetizer which was tasty, the classic chicken parm which my husband enjoyed. i had baked cod and parpadelle, which was beautifully cooked. nice light flavors of tomato, garlic and sweet peas. overall, a very nice italian dinner!

Yelp
The service was great! We appreciated the host and server which stood out that they take pride in this space. The food was okay, my husband liked his meal but overall was not what I was expected. The restaurant had a dim lit intimate feel and I appreciated the effort to provide a nice atmosphere. I don't think I will be back but if I do, I will be trying the dessert next time! I still have regret from seeing our neighbors order.

Yelp
What a gem of a restaurant in the Cape! I saw this place in many recommendation articles suggesting where to eat so we thought we'd try it out. Turns out it was one of our favorite meals and experiences our whole trip! The restaurant is located inside a quaint, dimly lit old house. They do have a few tables outside but the vibes are so cozy inside I think that's the place to sit! Our server was top notch...very attentive and nice. Normally a red sauce girl, I went outside the box and ordered the Chicken Saltimbocca and it was the best decision I've made in a while! The chicken was mouth watering and so tender. The bread at the table was so soft in the middle, yet rustic and crunchy on the outside with some delightful olive oil for dipping. If you get the chance to visit Buca's while in the Cape and want to transport yourself to Italy for an hour or two, do it! You won't be sad you did.

Yelp
This was our first time at Buca's Tuscan. It was really fun walking i to this establishment! The entry walls are lined with corks and wine crate panels!! Creative, fun and inviting!! The gentleman/manager that greeted us was gracious (we were 15 minutes early fir our reservation) and friendly and seated us In minutes! He did not have to do this -as we know from other restaurants but he was accommodating and seemed more than happy to get us settled in! The atmosphere is fun and interesting! We were seated by the bar in our own booth! The thing we ALL noticed was how dark the restaurant is in the room with the bar... not just atmospheric dark... but about 35% light of the average restaurant during daylight hours. We needed cell phone flashlights to read our menus. Granted- none of us are under 50 but this was a bit too much atmosphere. LOL The server was amazing! I forget her name (we ate out all week on the Cape and encountered at least 14 or 15 servers in that week so forgive me)... she was friendly, fast and on her game!! Always attentive and aware of the table! The food was brought out at a timely/steady pace! We ordered drinks(wine) first and were able to taste a couple too! They were delicious selections! The apps were ordered and arrived soon after: Arancini, a warm olive plate and oysters(for my brother in law only so I cant judge those as I would never even try). lol The other two were excellent! We ordered our entrees to give us more time between courses. Im not sure what my B.i.L. Ordered but the rest of us had Italian style chicken dishes. They arrived hot and tasty. The only thing the 3 of us (with the chicken entrees) questioned was the cutlet was still attached to bone? And very very thick cuts. We mused it may be a Tuscan tradition of leaving the thick (at least 3/4 to an inch) piece of poultry on the bone. It was good but definitely lessened the pleasure of the meal as we got closer to the bone. The pappradelle pasta was tasty but definitely on the over-cooked side. The marinara on 2 of our dishes was nice and light. The cheese was a bit too much but I should have asked to leave it off. The desserts were nice enough and we all ordered the salted caramel gelato but it tasted more like ice cream. It Didn't have the texture of gelato at all. We were happy with the restaurant and would definitely recommend and try again but next time we will definitely ask questions about some of the preparation. Personally - the main course of chicken parmigiana without the bone would have sat better. But, like I said- its a personal choice- I just do not enjoy any type poultry on the bone. As much as these are personal choices/tastes - the 4.0 rating is for the lighting and entree/dessert parts of the meal. I will peruse the seafood part of the menu more closely next time! ;)

Yelp
Well I hate saying this, but disappointed with this place. First and foremost the server was outstanding. Super nice, very relaxed and very friendly. Not sure if it was the owner or manager at the door, but either way, he could care less about people. Not a hello or welcome. All he said without even looking at us was reservation. So for the rest. We started with the bruschetta and charred Caesar salad. The Caesar was tasty and they split it, so it was nice. The bruschetta was just ok. It was covered with a huge mound of ricotta and marinated tomatoes. It was just so so. Not much flavor and not that impressive. For dinner I had the pasta à la Vogel and my wife had the shrimp scampi. Her scampi was a dry pile of pasta with breadcrumbs and overcooked shrimp. Literally some oil on the bottom or the plate. My dish was good, unfortunately it was a little bit of pasta in a bowl of clam broth with garlic and way to much parsley. The restaurant was beautiful inside and had a very romantic atmosphere and ambiance. Unfortunately on our next trip to cape cod, this place is off the list.

Kevin C.

Yelp
My Veal Rosa was delicious. My wife's shrimp scampi was over cooked and dry. We had to ask for bread . Server was very attentive but we had to signal the bus person who was as basically facing us that we needed more water. As usual the ambience was great. Overall 3 stars .They should be much better for the prices charged.

Jared S.

Yelp
What an awesome find. Ribeye was superfluous and the wine selection was fantastic. We sat at the bar and the ambiance was well worth it. Our bartender was attentive and kind. I would go back.

Harry R.

Yelp
I've been coming here for several years. Last night I had the stuffed artichokes with Gorgonzola and prosciutto. Amazing!! Sat at the bar and had some drinks and then the wild boar pappardelle pasta bolognese. These might just be the best items on the menu!! Service was great. Great atmosphere too!

Michelle J.

Yelp
This was a last minute decision to go there and we are so glad we did ! Everything from ambiance to service to food was amazing ! I am very picky when it comes to Cacio e pepe and this was amazing so was my friends pasta Pomodora both with homemade pasta . We shared the grilled ceasar salad which was recommended to do so by the waiter which they split on 2 plates for us without asking to do so ! Then Dessert which was Tiramisu and I have very high standards when it comes to this my favorite was a restaurant that is no longer opened and have never found one that even compares but I always try one when we go out to see and I can't tell you how amazing this was ! It was the second best I've ever had and it was equal to my favorite , I highly recommend this restaurant and wish I lived here to visit again ! When I come back to the area it will be first in my list!

Michael W.

Yelp
Love it here, the food is solid and the place is kind of quaint. My only problem is that the outdoor seating is not be ideal. Tbe good here is very well done, the burratta and the calamari are always excellent. The bolognese is made with wild boar and it's served with whipped ricotta and radiatore pasta. It's amazing. I had the cod and it was outstanding. Good wine list, very helpful servers and everything is homemade.

E T.

Yelp
What a wonderful overall experience. Everything from the moment you enter the front door and are greeted by Martin to the time you leave is just perfect. The food and service is that of a five star restaurant. The food was perfect. This was the highlight of our week. The entire place has a wonderful theme with soft Italian music in the background. Night recommend making a reservation.

Sarah B.

Yelp
A cute little Italian spot in the cape, darker ambiance and more authentic vibes. The menu is huge, it can be hard to decide. We went with the boar pasta which was very good and some seafood pasta which unfortunately ended up being very salty. Staff wasn't super attentive when we were there but they were extremely busy so it's hard to judge the situation. A good spot to add to the list when in the cape.

Jean P.

Yelp
We were excited to try this restaurant and it's gluten-free options. Unfortunately, they are reservation only. This is not stated on their website or on Yelp. This is an important distinction that should be noted somewhere so patrons are aware before they arrive.

Kathryn M.

Yelp
I've traveled extensively in Italy, and let me tell you- Buca's is delicious and authentic. The staff is warm and knowledgable, and they have a great mocktail list for those who don't drink. I've frequented the bar, the dining room, and their outdoor seating and it's all super comfortable and relaxed. The prosciutto wrapped artichoke with blue cheese, grilled romaine salad, and the bolognese are my favorites- honestly, you need to go with a group so you can try a bunch of stuff. You won't regret it. The only bad thing I can say about this place is it's really hard to get into in the summer- call ahead!

Libbie A.

Yelp
Small restaurant serving delicious fresh pasta and other Italian inspired creations. Creative cocktails and a good wine list. Buca's is a must for any time I'm on Cape Cod. The dining room is cozy and dark. There is also a small bar in the back. Service is friendly, but it can be a bit slow because they get so busy. Reservations are a must and order the LOBSTER RAVIOLI if they have it or the SALSICCIA & GAMBERETTI PICCANTE.

ME B.

Yelp
I hesitate to leave this review as Bucas has been a favorite for many years. Greeting at the door was barely more than asking if we had a reservation. Much friendlier on the way out. Server- neutral neither great nor bad. Black Manhattan cocktail- delicious, rest of cocktails very weak. Lobster arancini- FABULOUS. Bolognese- the bolognese itself delicious. The pasta all but inedible. Gummy mush (the pasta has always been my favorite part) I probably would have chalked it up to a bad time in the kitchen but my daughter had the same experience a couple months back. My girlfriends meal was over cooked and just not great. We will probably go back at some point simply because it was always so great in the past. But it will not be a race to get there.

Jim D.

Yelp
First, service was very good from a couple of young ladies, likely from Eastern Europe. Food was really "just ok". Not especially good, and not really bad. Not a great deal of flavor, and seems pretty commercial. Not worth a trip from very far.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Amazing food and beautiful ambiance! I ordered the cacio e pepe and added lobster. DELICIOUS. Our server Nina was attentive and helpful. Highly recommend!!!!

Yelp
I went here a few years ago as I was on my honeymoon in Cape Cod. We were looking for a place to eat and everywhere we went was booked or didn't take reservations. So I called this place on a whim and the gentlemen on the phone said "I can get you a table in about 20 minutes"...we said "Great!". We got there and really liked the look of the inside and the host, same guy I spoke to on the phone was very friendly. While we were waiting, a few regulars told my wife and I that we were in for a treat. We sat at our table and ordered our food and WOW. I think I had the best calamari and seafood pasta of my life! I ate every single thing from my plate. Absolutely delicious. Now here is the best part: The host who took our order was at the bar, close to our table, and as we were leaving the host said "Alan! Thank you so much for coming in, hope you enjoyed it!". This guy was at the bar, talking to someone, and stopped what he was doing to thank me and he remembered my name! It's sometimes the little things that matter and this mattered. Great experience. I live in CA and hope that one day we can visit beautiful Cape Cod again and eat here. Thank you!

Angelica P.

Yelp
Buca's is the spot that I always bring guests when they are visiting from out of town. I find it a bit challenging to get through the line to make a reservation, but I understand how busy they are! The food, ambience, and staff is incredible. Whether you're seated at bar, the main dining room, or outside, you're bound to have a great experience. Some dishes I recommend, Appetizer: the seasonal bruschetta, arancini, calamari Main: Pasta Bolognese, Chicken Picatta, Veal Saltimbocca Dessert: Tiramisu and Prosecco with sorbet

Andrea P.

Yelp
Cute Italian restaurant. Owner present and friendly, it's apparent there are regulars that come in as it seems many know him by name. I believe the bartenders name was Joe, he was manning the bar and he was in charge of our table that was off to the side. He was really personable, very knowledgeable about the menu, we ended up getting specials. The food was good and very fresh. Would definitely go back.

Julee G.

Yelp
Reservation for 7pm this Friday night. No parking for us and other cars. Manager came out and asked me what time was my reservation and we said 7. It was 6:45 and we were told a white truck in front of us had A reservation at 6:39 and to drive around until it was time for our reservation. We left the lot and we called to cancel our reservation due to there was no where for us to park. The manager replied "Good, many other people will be happy." He trained to call us back a few minutes later and we did not answer. He then left us a message that their wet 10 parking slots that have opened. This was very rude and we will let everyone know how we were treated!

Sally E.

Yelp
I was charged $25 to add grilled chicken to my pasta dish and no one ever thought to say anything to me... Of course I knew it would be an up-charge but I figured around $10-12, not the exact cost of my entire meal. As I said to the waiter I would have never willing ordered a $25 ~6oz piece of chicken. I had to ask about it when we got the bill and the waiter apologized and told us it is written on the menu, but I triple checked & it is not. It really ruined an otherwise amazing experience. I'm so conflicted about this place now because we really loved everything else but feel gaslit by that aspect

Don Y.

Yelp
We went for dinner, place was packed. We've heard a lot about this place. Ordered the olives as a app, they never came but that was ok as we enjoyed the delicious warm bread. We got the pork chop and cod dinner. Chop was good medium plus, would have enjoyed a little more pink in center. Pappardelle was good but could have used a little more butter sauce, was a little dry. Cod was good, mixed the pappardelle in with the cherry tomatoes. Dessert sampler was great with cappuccino. Couple mojito with dinner were great. Definitely will go back and get a straight pasta dish.

Rebecca S.

Yelp
We ordered Buca's last night 12/29 online on their website and picked up using contactless pick up out front. They followed all social distancing, mask wearing etc and were very polite, and courteous. Everyone seemed pleased with their order. My sister had the Cacio e pepe and mom had the salmon with risotto. She liked the salmon a lot but didn't like the sweet glaze on top. Brother had pomodoro with meatball and dad had pomodoro with sausage. I had the chicken parmigiana and it was delicious, nice panko crusting. It was breast meat but on the bone . I liked the pasta with its decomposed sauce, lots of fresh garlic and parsley. Would have liked a tid bit more tomato but that's because it was so flavorful. They also included two bags of fresh hearty bread which was delicious! Everything was packed well and nothing leaked or spilled. Cannoli was delicious. All in all was a nice, safe meal to eat at home!

Mark J.

Yelp
Outstanding! Location, staff, food and wine selection. Veal selections and seafood preparation perfectly matched with a signature cocktail or wine.

Ryan L.

Yelp
We arrived and waited 30 minutes for our table. The man who came out to greet us was off putting and extremely arrogant - maybe this is the owner or the restaurant manager?? We received no real updates for nearly the entire wait (no one spoke to us for 20 minutes). The woman who was also seating people was nicer and a bit apologetic about the late seating. As we walked to our table we were held up in a hallway like cattle with a hand in our face to wait. Weird behavior. Service was slow and the server was a bit rough and unpleasant. I tried to disarm her by being super polite back and it eventually worked but why is that my job? We ordered drinks, finally - they took a long time to come to the table. The food took a while too and it was just ok. We have eaten here before and it was incredible. This last visit, didn't even seem like the same establishment. The dinner was done at @11pm. We were one of the last tables in the place. We felt compelled to leave without ordering dessert cause the place was empty. There was no customer service. We felt completely uncared for during this visit. We did not once feel welcome in the restaurant the entire night. When I got home I had to truly process why the manager/owner of the establishment treated us the way he did. It appears to us that this manager/owner caters his attention to people who fit his mold of the perfect guest - especially one who looks wealthy. If you don't look the part to him, he immediately seems to put his label on you and treats you like a piece of dirt. He talked down to us like we were children. Total embarrassment to the restaurant... like WOW - his discrimination was PALPABLE! He should totally be ashamed of his discriminatory behavior. Ultimately we were taking a co-worker out to dinner or we would've just left the establishment before being seated!! We have recommended this place to many travelers who stay with us. Not anymore... very disappointing all-around. We will now just tell people to avoid it.....

Skipper W.

Yelp
This place is consistently great. We live right down the street, they're always very accommodating, the wine list is fairly extensive, and the pasta, fish, and salads are great. It's a cozy place, an old house remodeled into a restaurant with a small dining area and a small bar/lounge area. Super friendly. Super attentive. Love this place.

James L.

Yelp
The best of the best -- my favorite restaurant on Cape Cod !! Excellent wine list -- the staff is very helpful in selecting the right wine for your dinner -- great service -- you will never be disappointed with their menu and daily specials -- Marty and staff are there to guarantee an enjoyable dining experience !!

Patrick G.

Yelp
Food was excellent and the supporting staff clearing plates and resetting the table were great! Our problem was with the server and manager! When my girlfriend and I ordered drinks, our server asked for IDs which is fine but our server called the manager over and they played a game guessing what age we were right in front of us! Very unprofessional. We seemed to be the youngest there and they treated us as such! The waiter acted odd towards us all night and it seemed like he was mocking us! We would go back because the food is great but something needs to be done about the manager/waitstaff!

Van V.

Yelp
COVID 19 update from October 2020. Food is great as ever but this place is doing an amazing job so its diners have options. We chose to sit outside on a cooler night. They had 3 tables outside all with heat lamps and pretty flowers. Theresa, our lovely server, earns A plus. Lobster arancini was again perfection. Their grilled romaine awesome. We had the pasta with a rich Gorgonzola cream sauce and peas. Decadent. Their bread...oh my. Great cocktails and wine choices. We were near their parking and doors. Many cars picking up dinner. Some diners eating inside and the Co-owner led only one couple a time inside with others waiting a few minutes outside. They had a safety system and masks enforced when walking anywhere. The food and the service and the protocols, well done Buca's Tuscan Roadhouse! Classy! So glad you had an outdoor table with a heat lamp for us. We wore our winter coats and yet we were very comfortable.

Laura L.

Yelp
Went here last night and as always exceptional! To start... making a reservation last minute couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. The man in charge was accommodating and returned call quickly. When I got there I was greeted and had a pleasant personalized interaction with a new employee Barbara who based on this will be an asset to the place!!! I had the grilled romaine salad... delicious and the char made for quite the flavor bomb and the dressing with croutons ... I'm drooling thinking of it. The salmon with fig glaze over goat cheese risotto!!! Perfect Al dente and the salmon was melt in your mouth. No room for dessert because I literally ate every bite.

Yelp
Returned to Buca's for my wife's birthday. We've been there many times. This night lived up to our expectations. Once again almost everything was delicious. Good martinis. My wife loves their roasted Romaine as an appetizer. It's delicious. So was their calamari that I ordered. I had a delicious seafood pasta. My wife had the eggplant parm made with goat cheese (there's a non goat cheese option as well). Everything was delicious, although my wife said the goat cheese eggplant was not as good as the last time she had it. We also bought a bottle of their dipping olive oil because it is fruity and delicious. We were there for about two hours. Service was great as usual. Many times we also get dessert. This time we were too full.

Yelp
A wonderful old-style Italian restaurant and local haunt recommended by our innkeeper at Pleasant Bay Village. Easy to find and plenty of parking available in the adjacent lot. We were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival and offered bread, a drinks list, and menus. Joe was our excellent server, and we were visited at table by Martin, the restaurant owner. We ordered the following to start with a nice bottle of Vernaccia di San Gimignanot (my non-drinking daughter had a Shirley Temple): Cozze Bianco (mussels and fennel in white wine) Rocket salad Our entrees were Arancini with lobster, Caprese pasta, and Cod with pistachio, tomatoes and pappardelle For dessert, we had Salted caramel gelato, Mango sorbet and hearty Espresso Just a great experience. Thanks, Johnny and Martin!

Matthew C.

Yelp
Food generally good, authentic Italian, nothing too fancy, it's a small place, but adequate for small groups, big problem is I think it's overpriced for what you get .

Cee M.

Yelp
Food was great some items kinda small based on price I had short rib think it was $44 two pieces a side, wasn't worth it but that flavor was there. Other than that staff was great excellent service I can say!

Kate B.

Yelp
Our favorite restaurant. Never disappoints. Have eaten in dining room and at the bar. Very friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend. Eggplant is the best!!

David D.

Yelp
We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman named Andrew, who appeared to be the manager in charge. During the evening he seemed genuinely concerned about his customers having a positive experience. He was also knowledgeable and helpful with wine list. Our server was a different story. Right from the diner like "I'll be right wit ya" yelled from a few tables away, to the slow, inattentive service. She blamed others (not sure whom) for us not having menus or water. The food was seasoned very inconsistently, some bland. some too salty and some too sweet. The spicy mussels were tasty but not spicy (some shells were not open which speaks to the kitchen quality control). The veal was very tough and not very tasty. Finally, the lighting was very dark, (it was hard to read the menu).

We've been coming to Buca's for 9 years, but after what happened last night, we are DONE. Here's why: We had a confirmed reservation for 2 at 6 pm via Open Table. After checking in and taking a seat in the waiting area, Marty, the manager, told us his computer showed us for 6:15. I found that inexplicable and told him so. I reminded him that he told me long ago that he doesn't take 6:15 reservations in the summer months. Secondly, his Open Table site only allows reservations at the top and bottom of each hour. It became apparent that Marty had changed our reservation while were sitting there. An email from Open Table arrived on my home computer at 6:09 saying that my reservation had been changed to 6:15. We eventually got seated at 6:30 at what appeared to be the only table for two in the restaurant. Marty once told me that parties of 2 and 3 were costing him money. While waiting, we also observed Marty taking three consecutive phone calls. He told the first caller that he had "nothing available until 9 pm." He told the second caller that he "could get him in an 8 o'clock", but that caller declined. He told the third caller he had "an 8:30". We like almost everything about the restaurant, but not enough to put up with Marty. A couple we used to dine with at Buca's reached the same conclusion last year. They haven't been back and neither will we.

Yelp
I've never written a review and wouldn't normally, but Buca's was amazing. The interior is beautiful, very reminiscent of Tuscany, with a lovely ambiance. The staff is wonderful, friendly and accommodating. They have a fantastic wine list and the food was delicious. It's not often that I can't decide between multiple dishes, but their menu has such a great variety. Overall a fantastic experience!!

Yelp
Food was delicious. The problem we had was our waitress. She had a very negative attitude even to the point of rolling her eyes at us. We had reservations however when we called to see if we we could come in earlier they canceled our reservations and put us in a horrible corner table in the bar.

Yelp
This is a fabulous Italian restaurant in Chatham. The menu is not the usual simple Italian food but lots of very great riffs on traditional menus and some new things as well. But in any case the things we had each one was amazing. It's not cheap. The service is really good, the place is small and cozy. I will definitely go there again if I have the chance.

Yelp
Best Italian food on the Cape! Maybe the best food on the entire Cape PERIOD! Every aspect of every meal is cooked to perfection. I usually order takeout so I can't comment on the tableside service but the quality of the food is better than almost every other restaurant I've ever been to ANYWHERE !!

Yelp
Not a complaint about the food. Always good. Complaint is about Martin who made a big mistake in the way he treated a regular customer. When they hand you a wine list and you order a $185.00 bottle as priced on the list, you don't charge $280.00 at the end of the evening! My brother in law is a $$$ customer there. When I asked Martin for the wine list after the bill came to the table he reached in the pile and handed me a list that showed $185.00 yet again... he followed me back to the table and said it was wrong and took 10 minutes to go find a wine list that showed $280.00... while we were waiting to leave. Crazily he said the wine cost him $145.00. Correct thing to do was honor the 185.00 printed price and walk away with a 200.00 food bill, $40.00 profit on wine and a happy customer and good customer service. Nope he wouldn't budge... Wrong answer Martin. He wouldn't honor the printed price x2... Lost a longtime repeat customer and other friends and family! Good food has a bad taste now...

Yelp
This was the first time we've been to Buca's, and it was AWESOME! The staff was very friendly and courteous, and the drinks were very good. I had the lemon basically speciality drink and my boyfriend had the Al Capone, and they were both very refreshing and tasty. The lobster bruschetta for the appetizer was absolutely delicious, with garlic, fresh tomatoes and well cooked lobster. There were so many flavors. For dinner, my boyfriend had the dish with spicy sausage, portabella mushrooms, shrimp and the pappardelle. I had the Buca's bolognese, with wild boar, tomatoes, ricotta and radiatori pasta. The flavors were amazing, and we would defintiely go back!

Yelp
Calling all wine, aficionados! We know the food is outstanding AND consistent but what you may not know is that they have an extensive wine list. Ask for pairings. Little inside scoop. Ask Andrew for tips. He will help you curate an unbelievable experience.

Yelp
I HIGHLY recommend Buca's Tuscan Restaurant in Harwich as a place for an Outstanding experience!! Even more so, I want to Thank Andrew Cavanaugh for hosting one of the best Wine Tasting dinners I've ever experienced! I called asking for a "special" dinner event for a good friend and Andrew went ALL OUT!! When we arrived he had three wines already breathing in the decanters. Andrew then provided us with a history and overview of each wine (see photo) as we went through our tasting. Andrew and Joe Gibbs are an excellent team and we look forward to seeing them both very soon!!!! Thank you both for such an OUTSTANDING Night!!!
