Delicious food with excellent service! Our server Dana was professional and very sweet, checking in on us just the right amount of times. Got the bucatini with ground meat, one of the best pasta dishes I've had in my life. Flavor of the different meats in the ragu was so authentic and bursts in your mouth with every bite. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Also got the meatball app (also great) and the Caesar salad (had too much dressing, but was still very good). Drinks are pretty good, but still give it a 5 across the board due to the outstanding food and service. The ambiance is very welcoming, great for all occasions. Eat here!

Amazing food from start to finish! Bucatini was absolutely delicious . We started with the warm bread rolls served with a garlic dip that was the best I’ve ever tasted. The fried mozzarella was crispy and flavorful, and the wedge salad was crisp, fresh, and topped with a delicious dressing. The fresh fettuccini pasta with scallops in sauce truly outstanding . I can’t wait to return and enjoy another fantastic meal! Highly recommend for anyone looking for great Italian cuisine and a cozy atmosphere.

We enjoyed our meal here. They were able to accommodate a large party of 20 people between two tables. For how large the space is and how many people in there it was not too loud. Flavors were yummy in the ravioli and salads. Pizza a little underwhelming. We did have a bit of an issue with a gluten-free pasta dish not being actually gluten-free (gluten in the sauce). It was a little bit strange that they would advertise the option of gluten-free pasta, but not actually make the dish gluten-free unless specifically asked. I would advise this establishment to ensure that all wait staff ask specifically about strictness of gluten-free with all people that order gluten-free pasta (at the time of ordering, not plating) so no one is harmed. Would come back here though!

Today we visited this pleasant restaurant. We didn’t expect it to be so tasty! Excellent recommendations! I definitely want to go back there again!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Google
It’s fine, like the atmosphere (but it is a little loud and echo-y in the bar area), bartender very nice, waitress Brutal, starting with, “you guys know what you want?” i’m, hi how are you? can i get you a drink, water, want to hear specials, can i get you an appetizer to start?” I could go on, like, “you guys want the check? instead of, “ could i get you a dessert menu, coffee?) or “would you like anything g else?”z she was just a B-Dubbs type waitress, not someone i want to even 15% on higher priced dinner. besides her, food was fine- don’t go in there expecting authentic- it’s not home made (specifically asked about pasta) for the prices. But, we’ll go back again, but knowing what to expect (lower expectations) next time.

Unfortunately, our visit to Bucatino was extremely disappointing. We visited the restaurant with a 96-year-old gentleman, and the staff showed no consideration for his age or comfort. The service was highly unprofessional. Our food was significantly delayed, and every time we politely asked when it would arrive, the response was rude and defensive: “The kitchen has too many orders,” with no apology or even an estimated wait time. To make matters worse, the elderly man was clearly uncomfortable sitting on a hard wooden chair for such a long time. We requested a more comfortable chair from one of the staff members, but she left and never returned. No follow-up, no concern. As for the food, it was not worth the wait. The quality was below average, and the dishes were extremely oily — the amount of grease was very noticeable and off-putting. Sadly, this was not a pleasant dining experience at all, neither in terms of service nor food. I would not recommend Bucatino, especially if you’re looking for respectful service and decent meal quality.

My boyfriend and dined tonight and everything was fabulous! Every time we come we order the mussels- tonight they were the best we have ever had. The pizza was very good. I wish I remembered the name of our server because she was so great as well!!

Yelp
We love it, we stayed at Sea Crest hotel, the best restaurant near by, we eat the arugula salad, onion soup, steak. Everything so good. Service also perfect at the bar. Came from Boston and we don't have a good Italian place there. The tables outside also pretty.

Yelp
Food was delicious! We were a larger party at a rectangle table so it was hard to hear each other besides that no complaints!

Yelp
After finishing up a long days drive from Ohio, my wife and I decided to stop here for our dinner. Overall, we really enjoyed it! I particularly loved their pepperoncini martini! My salad with salmon was absolutely delicious and my wife's pepperoni pizza was a work of art! I truly enjoyed everything, including our bartenders personal and friendly service.

Yelp
This is the first time my family and I have come here and we really enjoyed our experience. The bread and dipping sauce was AMAZING- tasted just like Bertucci's. My brother got fried mozzarella which was really flavorful and yummy. We also split the Caesar salad which was good but the dressing was a little thick and not super flavorful to me. My parents loved their pasta special and I got crab and lemon angel hair pasta which I liked. I do wish the crab was a bit sweeter, I couldn't really taste it. The peas were also just ok, not as crunchy as I'd hoped they'd be. I got the Roman holiday martini which was super unique, but it was huge and the size of like two martinis. Not a bad thing if you want to get a little tipsy at dinner lol! Our server (I think her name was Dana) was super sweet! We didn't get dessert but I'm sure it would be delicious. Would love to come back here and try something else on the menu, not sure if I'd order the same dish again.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. I went here for a late birthday lunch after a conference it was phenomenal.

Yelp
The Finest take-out dinner I have ever devoured. I ordered the Halibut special with a salsa over a corn risotto. Not a single morsel left on my plate. I hope the offering becomes a regular on the menu. No one should be denied the opportunity to enjoy this meal as much as I did. Thank you to the Chef

Yelp
My daughter and I went to Bucatios yesterday. We had been there many times and had always had a great experience. Yesterday was way different! I started off with the Italian Wedding soup. It was okay , not great . Progresso soup is comparable . I then had the Riccata Stuffed Ronetta(sp). When I tried to cut into it, I discovered that the bottom of one of them was completely burnt! It had been rolled under. I would have sent it back, but didn't want to wait another 25 minutes for another one. Also, it was barely warm. I can't believe that the kitchen sent it out like that! My daughter had a Meatball Sub that she said tasted like they were frozen meatballs. The waiter was mediocre , which I guess is the best you can hope for these days! Sad , I use to love this place! No more!

Yelp
Unreal meal! We came here on a Saturday night around 5p without a reservation, luckily they had outdoor tables open! It was sunny and gorgeous so we took one of those tables. The landscaping was beautiful and the tables were spaced nicely apart. Oneil was our server, he was attentive and very friendly! The dirty martini was a 10/10, the best part- multiple olive choices to choose from!! The burrata was to die for, I friggin love burrata and this hit the spot, the prosciutto was plentiful and much appreciated. I got the lobster raviolis, very very good and my boyfriend got the chicken parm and loved it. We left full and very happy. Would definitely suggest anyone in the area to come here for a nice date night

Yelp
The place was very busy...Irish band in the bar area which looked like fun...the meal was mediocre, the Chicken Saltimbocca was substandard, but my wife's Bolognese was quite good, so on average, mediocre. We had the meatball appetizer which was also mediocre. Waiter was fine...we were in and out in well under an hour...seemed very rushed.

Yelp
Nice place and convenient when you come over the bridge. I was here a while ago and loved it. Nice place for dinner. Walked into n expecting to have a good meal. The restaurant is Clean with a modern decor. The hosts were polite. Service was good. The big difference was the food. Something changed with the bolognese. It was creamy and sort of brown. Not normal for this dish. Kind of cheesy on its own. Either a new chef, new recipe/formula or just an off night. I was disappointed especially when a pasta dish goes for upper twenty dollars per. I will try it again to determine if this was just a bad night in the kitchen.

Yelp
Dined at Bucatino several times recently and it was excellent. on one occasion, I started with the calamari and it was cooked to perfection. Flash fried so the crust was crunchy but the squid was tender. Came with garlic aoli which was good, but I'd like a spicy marinara, too. Recommended. I had the Bolognese and it was delicious. Very generous portion. They say Bolognese is a good way to judge a restaurant and I have to agree. Delicious. Highly recommended. My fellow diner had scrod, which she enjoyed very much. Excellent service. Nicely decorated, comfortable restaurant. Highly recommended. Had a family gathering of 85 guests in their function room and everything was prepared perfectly. Super service by a very nice and obliging staff. Great menu! Something for everyone from pizza and sandwiches to great entrees. Congrats and thanks to Bucatino for doing this. Lunch and dinner all year round. Yay!

Yelp
Great food! Perfect weather to sit outdoors in the lovely garden. Very welcoming and our waitress made it extra pleasurable.

Yelp
Beautiful outdoor dining in landscaped courtyard. Service good, a bit slow. Large stuffed meatball was excellent. Fresh pasta also great. They use a bit too much red sauce for my liking but it was good red sauce. Husband loved the bolognese, even tho as others stated it's not as red as usual. Eggplant and chicken parm nice and thin and crispy. Good summer drinks and wine selection.

Yelp
When we entered, my step-mom made a comment about how she had expected the interior to be a bit nicer and more upscale than what it was. It was very busy and loud and therefore, difficult at times to hear our waiter. I started with the cooler for a cocktail which is essentially a spicy margarita. My parents opted for wine and beer and my sister got the cuke cocktail which was very refreshing. We then shared the antipasto for two, which was fine to distribute amongst the four of us since we all have different preferences. We additionally ordered the clam chowder, the Buca bolognese, lobster ravioli, stuffed eggplant rollatini, and chicken piccata. The bolognese was a bit too salty for my personal opinion but my dad was a fan! The lobster ravioli had chunks of lobster in it and was not blended up like some other places do (yuck). So, I was very happy about this, however, I unfortunately did get a piece of shell in one of the raviolis. Other than this, it was really good and filling! My sister and my step-mom both enjoyed their piñata and rollatini dishes!

Allison W.

Yelp
The food was delicious and our server was attentive. The only disappointment was that the restaurant was very loud. We were sitting in the main dining area, but there was a guitarist in the bar who was really(!) loud. It was extremely difficult to hear my husband talk from across the table.

Jerry C.

Yelp
We went on Labor Day Monday and had a wonderful time with friends. The drinks were wonderful and the dinner was outstanding. Portions were big enough to take part of it home. Service and the whole experience was " a must do again."

Yelp
Great small bar where everyone chimes in! Food is good too! The service is on point too!

Yelp
I have resisted going here for years . I don't eat Italian out . Well I stand corrected ! The food is wonderful ? I love sitting at the bar and meeting new people . I might even talk to my husband . I am looking forward to trying more dishes .

Phil B.

Yelp
So, I hope this is taken as constructive criticism because that is how it is meant. Overall, our meal was an A- My wife opted for the house wine and chef's choice appetizer and I opted for the chilled sampler. We split them both. The chilled sampler was fantastic. The shrimp were big, the cocktail sauce was great and the mignonette was fantastic. The chef's choice appetizer could have been fantastic had it not been for the stale bread at the bottom. A good crostini would have made it so much better. As far as the main courses go, I had the veal chop and my wife had linguine with clam sauce. My wife said that her's was delicious but heavy on the butter. My veal was amazing, the broccoli rabe was very good, the veal Demi-glacé was fantastic, and the risotto was tasty but very dry. So my only negatives for the entire meal was stale bread for the appetizer and dry risotto. Overall a very good meal at a decent price.

Yelp
Amazing penne a la vodka, great portions. Our waitress was lovely and the cocktails were very good.

Yelp
Hands down the best Italian restaurant in the Cape. Unbelievable service and even better food!

William R.

Yelp
Food excellent, sat at bar and waited almost 20 min because bartender was serving regulars first even though they came in 15 min after us. I understand but very frustrating.

Yelp
Pleasant experience at Bucatino! For appetizers, my party got the truffle gnocchi, fried mozzarella, and calamari. Would 100% get the fried mozzarella and calamari again!! The gnocchi I could have done without but maybe that's just my personal preference? I got the raspberry margarita, veal saltimbocca, and flourless chocolate cake a la mode. All were good! Solid portions for the entree. Server offered pepper and cheese to top off the entrees and brought some shakers to our table. Chocolate cake was my favorite. Our server fully endorsed getting the salted caramel ice cream with the flourless chocolate cake dessert. I stuck with the French vanilla ice cream but my friend said it was a good choice. Outdoor seating area is nice, tables are very well spaced out! Only thing it needs is more lighting - we couldn't see our food. It looked like there was some lighting that just wasn't turned on though. Lots of mosquitos but that's standard for any summer night. Overall good experience. If you're in town, this place is worth checking out if you're craving Italian.

Yelp
Went to Buccatinos in Falmouth today.. big group of about 22 people. Said they couldn't sit is indoors but after a conversation we were able to get everyone inside which was wonderful as it started pouring rain before we would have been finished. The staff was WONDERFUL. Our server was Anna and she was unbelievably good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. A special shout out to David the manager I spoke with to allow us to be inside. He was very helpful and arranged for all of us to eat on the restaurant as opposed to to sitting in the rain!! Thanks David you were outstanding! We'll be back again!!!

Yelp
I've been a long-term customer for years, long before they were named bucatinos. I always had a good experience, until my last visit. I met my sister for a drink and an appatozer before meeting my mother for dinner. The entire restaurant was empty when we arrived. We put our name in for a table since my 75 year old mother didn't want to stay in the bar. While we were waiting for our table, the hostess, who was on a power trip, told us we had to leave our table because we were no longer eating. I asked if our dining room table was ready, and she said no. I asked her why we were being asked to leave and she said it was because we didn't check in with her when we first arrived. When arrived the bar had 3 people in it, we sat at a table that they said was reserved for people who were eating, so we ordered food. We had a couple of drinks and had just ordered another round and we we kicked out of our table with nowhere to go except to now stand at the crowded bar. Of course, my mother wasn't interested in this. Terrible service, and I'll never go back.

Yelp
Host staff is amazing! They go the extra mile, and set the tone for a great night. Food and cocktails in particular are excellent.

Yelp
Bucatino is a staple in our family. Their vegetable sides like the asparagus and the mushrooms are fantastic. The pasta is good, and our favorite thing about this restaurant is actually their oil that comes with the bread! It's seasoned so well that we end up eating so much bread before our food even arrives. Sometimes I ask for that oil on my pasta. The drinks are really yummy here too. I love sitting outside in the summer. Parking can be hard when it's busy.

Yelp
This review is based on a take out experience. Take out is not always offered- especially during peak times. The restaurant accepts reservations for groups over six. Otherwise it's in person waiting. I ordered the fried mozzarella and lobster ravioli. The fried mozzarella was incredible- exceeding any fried mozzarella I've had in years. There's were eight pieces that were thin and crispy, with gooey cheese. The marinara sauce was well flavored, and not bland (a frequent problem at many other restaurants). The lobster ravioli was also incredible. There were 5 large ravioli, that were stuffed with lobster. The sauce was a creamy vodka-esque sauce, with some onions. The ravioli are some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend!

Chris Z.

Yelp
Bad food! Bad business! I recently had dinner here with my daughter and three of her friends. The food was just okay but even worse, I got food poisoning. While it might be difficult for a chef to avoid serving spoiled food on occasion, my food poisoning was so severe I had to go to the hospital for two days. Worse yet, the manager and owner disputed the fact that I had food poisoning and refused to reimburse me for my dinner or even offer any kind of make-good in good-faith.

Yelp
The good was delicious here.. we enjoyed the atmosphere and the food at this restaurant. The parking was great because it was across the street and no worries to cross over. The food was great. Service a little slow but it was busy so it gets a pass... will def be back

Christine L.

Yelp
We had our company party at Bucatino last night and it was perfect The servers were so attentive and the food was perfect! Everybody loved it ! I highly recommend Bucatinos for an event.

Yelp
I think I might of had the best tasting steak tip today. The whole meal was great! What a way to celebrate a loved ones life. I hope I'm in the area again. I would love to get the whole experience of a date night here. The raviolis , the tips, and the salad with a delicious dressing I'd never had before! Staff was very nice to my toddlers too!
google avatar

Ginevre D.

Yelp
Meh. Terribly lackluster service. Like, really neglectful. Pretty mediocre meal. Caesar salad bland, lacking garlic and lemon, anchovies were the cheap yucky brown ones. Bolognese sauce was a very unusual flavor, almost like curry somehow. Linguine and Clams was ok, but again just really bland. Try elsewhere.

Yelp
Wow! This place has it all. Ambiance, friendly service, an extensive menu, and absolutely delicious food with super generous portions. We opened with some appetizers: grande stuffed meatball (a crowd pleaser), antipasto for two, and calamari. The six of us each ordered a different main, and all of them were fabulous and filling. The servers were lovely, the food came out quickly, and the outside seating area was idyllic. Loved this place and can't wait to go back! Oh, and pro tip: order the flight of red wines. Delightful.

Haley E.

Yelp
Honestly, I was blown away by our experience at Bucatino. I've been going down to the cape for four years now and have not heard anyone talking about this place so I had low expectations. He food was great, prices are fair, outdoor area is so beautiful and chill, and they had live music that was absolutely lit. I will definitely be going back!!

Cathy M.

Yelp
We had a wedding rehearsal dinner at Bucatinos last Friday. The food was fabulous, the waitstaff were more than accommodating with attention to every detail. David the head waiter of the event was such a pleasure to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. My floral arrangements were delivered and set up beautifully Thanks to Beth the banquet manager for making everything perfect. I would highly recommend Bucatinos for a event or to go for a delicious meal. We have done that as well. Cathy M

Yelp
First time here and the service with Abby was great. She suggested some nice options on the menu. We enjoyed the shrimp scampi which was perfection, lobster ravioli which was filled with large chinch's of lobster in a creamy pink sauce. So good. For a memorable appetizer- go with the truffle gnocchi. It's a dish worth driving for
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
We chose to come here based on the pasta selections and location. I needed a break from seafood for a night so I got bucatini with chicken and broccoli in Alfredo sauce. My gf got bucatini with shrimp in a vodka cream sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauces were both excellent. The broccoli was nice and firm but I thought the chicken was a little bland. The shrimp was much better so I would recommend getting that. They had a nice large patio outside with plenty of space.

Josh V.

Yelp
Went to Bucatino this evening and had excellent service by Dana! The atmosphere in the lounge is comfortable and relaxing, the fried mozzarella appetizer was delicious!

Juliana D.

Yelp
Had a great dinner here after not being able to find a decent Italian restaurant in the area. Food was great, wine was great, service was fast and attentive. Inside the restaurant was very comfortable. My only complaint would be we definitely felt rushed (had 5pm reservations, we were done eating and they had us out the door before 6pm). We would come back for sure.
google avatar

Ted D.

Yelp
We have had a family home in falmouth since 1882 and recently over that past three years have driven by Bucatino's and say every time we have to try it. Well tonight we did. My only regret the whole night(I do have one complaint) is that we didn't go before tonight! Everything was excellent. Stack of fried eggplant was very good. The fish dishes were all outstanding. Our waitress Barbara was personable, engaging and insured we had a good night. We purchased a gift card for family members to eat here and not at their sister restaurants (which are also very good and classics in their own right). Can't wait to go back... the bar area looked like a fun lively place we will try next. Oh the food was only matched by what I consider very excellent prices for what you get. My only beef is our table backed up to another table. The space could be bigger between tables
google avatar

Yelp
Recently, our family experienced the death of our parents a mere 60 days apart. We planned the luncheon(s) post burial at the national cemetery at Bucatino's. They were amazing to work with both times and our families enjoyed the restaurant and every morsel. The first event we ordered from the menu and the second was a buffet. We highly recommend them and suggest stopping in when in the area.

Thomas M.

Yelp
Consistent great food and great atmosphere. The Bolognese is the best you can get anywhere on the cape .It is very busy place so you may have to wait a bit but totally worth it .

Ted B.

Yelp
Everything is great, the giant stuffed meatball is dynamite. They had a lemon-chicken orzo soup special on that was to die for. Wish it was on the menu. Cocktails are also excellent. It can get a little loud but it's worth it.

Paul S.

Yelp
I've been a regular at bucatinos for years, well before they called themselves bucatinos. The manager tonight was one of the rudest people I've met. I met my sister there for a drink before my mother joined us. The restaurant was nearly empty and we sat at a table in the bar. The manager quickly came over and told us we needed to check in at the hostess stand, which seemed weird because they were empty. The manager later came over and told us she needed the table for someone else! My mother's wine had just arrived and they were kicking us out! We had already put our name in for a table in the dinning room. That wasn't good enough. She needed our table NOW! We waited another 20 minutes and the table wasn't ready so we left. I supported this business all through covid, regularly leaving 30-40% tips and always had a great experience. Up until tonight. Imagine asking a paying customer to give up their table while still drinking their wine for someone else and not even checking if there was another table for them first.

Yelp
Aweful meal way way overpriced. The service was terrible, we had to almost tackle the waiter to have him take our order, and the place was only half full. It took over 90 minutes for our entrees to arrive (I think the waiter forgot to put them in). And the food, well the food was poor. A charcuterie board that included provolone that looked and tasted like it came from Shaws deli. Capresse salad with tomatoes that were not ripe and fresh mozzarella that was like rubber. I had the strip steak and it was tough as leather and tasteless and without the fingerling potatoes the menu claimed. My wife and daughter had the seafood pasta and it was so salty they both stopped after three bites. We had such high hopes, but we won't be back here...there are far too many great places in Falmouth and woods hole, don't waste your money here.

Yelp
23 June 2022 - Dinner If you like loud music and terrible Italian food this place is for you. Pizza tasted like cardboard and scallops were so small. They used bay scallops instead of sea scallops.
