"The chef made his name at fellow LA Italian restaurant Bucato, from which he resigned in 2015, and Felix, which opened in April 2017, was his much-awaited return to the dining scene." - Serena Dai

I can't even begin to describe how great the food is here... but I'll try. I've been to Italy before and I must say that the Focaccia here is the closest thing you will get to the type of Focaccia you will taste in Italy. It is amazing. I highly recommend the Sicilian Cauliflower. It has a really nice lemon/garlic taste to it that sits on your tongue in the best way possible. The two pasta dishes we tried (The Casonsei & Pappardelle) were fantastic. Each dish is packed with flavor and our server was beyond helpful. Parking is free Valet and the corkage is $15 for the first two bottles. Don't forget to call the morning of (after 9:30am) to make a reservation for dinner. Buon appetito!

I decided to finally give Bucato try after they were just recently added to the Eater 38 list last week. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. I visited on Sunday for brunch and chose to outside in the patio where everyone chose to dine. The service here was among the best I've experienced in the city. Our server was professional and attentive as she could be considering I didn't see any bus boys and her cleaning all the tables. The one thing that I can really appreciate is their strict no cell phone policy which is also written on the menu. Being a Yelper, I had to resist the urge to take photos of my food and completely focus on the company I was with, the beautiful weather we had, and the superb Italian-inspired brunch. I absolutely loved all the dishes we ordered. The pasta was freshly made, al dente, and perfectly seasoned. We felt the pasta we had here was so much better than the much hyped Bestia! Sundays for brunch seem to be really slow here. There's not much for people watching in the area at that time, more so furniture browsing before or after brunch. Maybe even a beer over at FO. I recommend sharing some dishes on the menu so you can do a tasting.

Decor- date-appropriate. Outside patio would be perfect for a summertime happy hour. Service- Our waitress didn't seem to know what she was doing. We ordered one wine, joked about the name a bit, AND she still brought us the wrong bottle. We didn't realize it until after we drank half. Forgive me if I forgot a dish or two. They don't allow phone use in there, which I look down on because pictures- either shown to friends, posted on fb, or instagrammed- bring buzz to the restaurant! Food- Menu was simple, but too simple that we only found a few things among the 4 of us we liked so we left hungry. In addition, the portions are TINY, yet expensive. I understand if the flavors are too powerful that you need a smaller portion to not overwhelm the guest, but this was NOT the case. 1. Focaccia with roasted tomatoes, sal secco olives and marjoram- Pretty good for a slice of bread. The olives tasted candied. Not good enough to want to order more. 2.Squash blossoms- Fried really well (crisp but not overbearing). The sheep's milk ricotta inside was a surprise. Easily replicated. 3. Lamb loin Spiedino- basically like tiny lamb meatballs.. the spiced yogurt sauce was light and refreshing. 4. Strascinati ragu- Pasta was good and the sauce tasted like a slow cooked ragu but the plate had 4 bites.. 4 bites for $16. Was that bite worth $4? Nope.. 5. Quail- It was the size of my palm! It was cooked well but it wasn't anything cool, amazing or different. All in all, this place did not thrill me. The portions are small. The prices are expensive for what it offered. I don't think recommend you go there unless you have some extra dough to throw around and are in the area.

Excellent service. Great wine selection though limited. Fresh made pasta is tasty. The focaccia is a bit on the salty side. Fried rabbit was amazing.

Great food! I did not understand why the dinner menu does not serve juices even though those are available at lunch, not very convenient for kids. Also did not appreciate that our server served the bill in the beginning of desert, it was only 9:45 & the place closes at 10:30. Felt like we're being rushed out on Sunday night by the employees. Might try another time next time.

We kept laughing every time one of my friends or I would take a bite because everything was so absurdly delicious. The dishes were simple and mouthwatering, just as I think Italian food should be. Bucato is a must-try restaurant.

I just had the absolute worst experience I've ever had at abt restaurant. After making us wait for over 30 mins in the middle of the restaurant and then splitting up the group into several table across the restaurant the manager spills beer all over my friend and doesn't even apologize. If you cannot accommodate a large group just state that at the beginning. It was such an embarrassment of an establishment.

My current favorite place to eat. While the reservation situation leaves something to be desired; the food does not. Every dish is spot-on, delicious.
