If the food falls on the floor, do not give it to the customer. It is not smart to give the customer two good pieces quesadillas on top and two pieces on the bottom from the floor or trash can.

Food is usually decent but tonight I ordered the chicken salad and sliders and was only given 1 slider instead of 3 for 12$. The food in the photo is everything that came in the bag that was stapled shut when I picked it up. Tried to address this on the website but there is no customer service contact

I mean come on, it's another Bucharest Grill, they are just damn good. Love how the fries are super crispy on the outside, and pure fluff on the inside. It's how all fries should be. The Schwarma is outstanding as always. Really enjoy the bite of the pickle with the abundance of garlic. Place is clean, people friendly, service quick.

The Bucharest shawarma is amazing - 6 pack makes an easy meal for multiple people. The beef with hummus is also delish. One of the best restaurants in Detroit - started off with one, and now there are multiple (for a reason!)

Wow, Bucharest Grill exceeded all my expectations! I ordered the shawarma box and a falafel sandwich for delivery, and I was blown away by the quality and flavors. The shawarma was perfectly seasoned and tender, while the falafel sandwich was crispy on the outside and deliciously soft on the inside. The delivery was prompt, and everything arrived hot and fresh. The portions were generous, and the packaging was secure. I highly recommend Bucharest Grill to anyone craving authentic and mouthwatering Middle Eastern cuisine. I'll definitely be ordering from them again soon!

The food is so good. The lighting is not the best, and how they call you when your order is ready may need some improvement . They are in desperate need of a dehumidifier because it was so muggy in there. With all that saying, you will not regret the visit. The food is that good and employees are beautiful.

The food was good enough, curly fries were a great option alongside the Bucharest wrap. Never heard of Romanian shawarma before but it held its own. The stuffed grape leaves were really bad though.

We were visiting Detroit and wanted something we've never had before so we picked this place for a door dash delivery. We got a steak and chicken shawarma wrap. Chicken nuggets and a lamb stick. That steak shawarma was so good. The flavor was amazing and the steak was easy to chew. The nuggets were grilled pieces of perfection. We split the wrap it was so big. I wasn't crazy about the lamb stick but I'm used to roasted lamb without all the added spices. I took the chicken wrap back home and the leftover nuggets and ate on it for a couple days. The chicken shawarma was good too but not like that steak was. Now I am on a quest to find shawarma around my town. Can't wait to return so I can get this again.

This is definitely a to-go or hang with your friends place to eat, but the food - spectacular. One of the best shawarma s I've had. And the garlic sauce- it had me licking my fingers. So no ambience but get the food to go and you will be so happy you ordered from Bucharest.

Just went to Bucharest yesterday evening and ordered 3 lamb shawarmas and they sucked! They were nothing but fat! I will never go to the Jefferson location downtown Detroit again! And the girls that took the order were very rude! Not recommended

We live around the block . We were walking and stop in for the first time . Just got a simple lamb shawarma box and water . I lived in East Dearborn for over 30 years . The shawarma I had from this place is the best I have had not from an east Dearborn restaurant. This was Excellent! Service a 10; place was spot less!!! The team work we observed you can tell , they are a great team . Manager, is doing excellent job!!! Fell in love with this place. We will now stop in during our walks . We stopped here after spending a lovely day on Belle Isle. We all got Chicken Shawarmas. Oh so good! I wished there was a downriver location!

Grabbed a beef Schwarma before going to a concert at the Aretha Franklin. Pretty good but I think I would try the lamb next time. The beef was a bit chewy.

I've been a fan of Bucharest Grill since the original location. While the feel of the original location cannot be duplicated, the taste, freshness and quality of the food remains the same. Their Chicken Shawarma sandwich is unmatched.

Very very busy location. The staff here is pretty cool, at least most of them. It can take a minute for your order to come to the window, I always call ahead. But the food is always delicious. The price is right, and there is no cheese in the wraps. That's a big plus for me.

Doordashd it. Chicken schwarma was great. Flavorful. Fresh. There are pickle spears inside! Curly fries were flavorful. Well seasoned. Salad was not expected with no lettuce but I liked it! Fresh ingredients. Beef schwarma stick was ok. A bit heavy in the salt for my taste. Maybe would've been different if I had it fresh at the restaurant. Overall good and I would return.

I have had shawarma all over the metro detroit area, and most of it is really good, but I was reminded today after not having Bucharest for about 8 or 9 years that the have THE BEST chicken shawarma anywhere in metro detroit, and that is saying something. I just found out they opened one a few miles from me today. WOO HOO! I wish I could give a 10/10.

My favorite spot in the whole world to get Grilled Chicken & Hummus w/bell peppers! I take it home & add garlic & seasonings to the hummus...Delicious!!

Just as good as when I had it over 5 years ago. Hard to locate with the way the exterior sign is displayed vertically. Tons of seating inside as well as a cake shop. I couldn't help myself and got the banana cheesecake pudding. Ordered the Chicken Shawarma and Bucharest Shawarma to go. The Bucharest version is the best with crunchy fries inside and cabbage instead of lettuce. Wrapped in foil, it's the easiest sandwich to eat on the drive home. Juicy chicken and affordable quick to go lunch - 2 sandwiches for $20.

Bucharest is a local Detroit favorite!! Definitely getting your money's worth the for the amount of food. Highly recommend the classic. Chicken Shawarma or Chicken Shawarma Salad. The small salad is actually a decently large portion for only $9.

There's stuffed peppers quesadillas are amazing I have been to several locations and have loved my meal each and every time.

When Bucharest opened they were great but much like Kalamata Grill they are on a fast track to going out of business. The quality & serivce are going down hill quick. I had several simple ordered screwed up and last night when I arrived home with my salad, it was a mix of brown lettuce. I tossed it out.

The fattoush didn't have any sumac so it lacked any of the tangy flavor that the dish is known for. The lamb on top was juicy but also almost too greasy: Service is ok and the vibe of the place is very minimalist.

The food is good. Cheap for a great meal. The reviews are dumb, they don't have a sensible idea how to review a restaurant, unlike me... MAC. Lamb js mid but chicken is king. Makes me want to pull out my happy dance.

A very good Mediterranean restaurant. There's a reason there is multiple locations, it's delicious. My sister used to work near here and this was one of her favorite places to eat. I'm impressed by the size and the taste of the chicken schwarma. The hummus with vegetables was delicious also and both dishes were picture perfect also.

We had the chicken shawarma wrap, they are delicious, we have tried many different restaurants and the Bucharest Grill is amazing, the most flavorful Mediterranean food compared to all the other places I've been to, the house salad is also delicious

I would have given a 5 star. But the young girls working the registrar's need to get off they're phone's so they can take your order correctly. Very disappointed that I had to go back a second time

My husband and I order a large chicken shawarma salad with extra pickles and pita chips, and split it. They give you so much chicken that we eat it for dinner and lunch again the next day. The shawarma sandwiches are great too!

Ordered a small chicken salad to go. When I opened the salad, most of the chicken was charred black and not edible. Tasted like they scraped what was left as they cleaned off the grill and put is on my salad., Surely the person who prepared this salad did not care about how it looked or tasted. I live to far to take it back, was not in the mood to hear excuses. I won't be coming back to this location.

Every time I'm back in the office, we order carryout from this location at least once (sometimes twice) for lunch. The chicken shawarma sandwiches and salads are HUGE. The marinade that they use for the chicken is packed with flavor and amazing. There's always a slight char on the chicken too, which I love. Their hummus and garlic dips are some of the best I've had. I've never had a bad meal here.

Wonderful, generous portions of delicious chicken! Salad had generous feta, but the other vegetables were large and required chopping. Dressing may not have been stirred but was not desirable.

1. Make sure that salad greens are DRY before prepping and boxing salad 2. Return to cutting chicken uniformly rather than in slivers and chunks . Cook chicken to done-ness without drying it out. Season chicken truly for shwarmas' sake. I should know I have a shwarma the minute I open the box or unwrap the wrap by the aroma right off the bat 3. Return to caring about the little things that make the biggest difference

Food taste terrible I grabbed a chicken shawarma and it was trash... I remember they used to be good when they were downtown

While visiting Detroit, my co-workers ordered food to go and brought it back to the boathouse we were all working at. They said that Bucharest is well-known in Detroit, but they hadn't tried it yet. Love to check something like that off our bucket list! I got the steak salad and really loved the dressing that came with it. It was like a more interesting version of olive oil. The salad was LOADED with good steak. So much that I couldn't even finish it. We also got warm hummus and pita, as well as curly fries galore. My friends got falafel wraps that looked delicious as well. This is a great option to snag on the go and they have several locations around Detroit!

Placed an order at 7am for an 11am pickup. Notified via text ready would be ready for pickup at 11:10Am. Order was not ready until 11:37 and was shorted 1 of 7 salads for a corporate lunch meeting. Manager indicated they don't manage door dash orders priority. I'm placed my order directly on Bucharest website however it automatically goes thru Door Dash even for pickup's. Never again.

My husband likes this place for shawarma. I recommend sticking to the chicken or even the Greek veggie. But the lamb was cooked with less heat than my liking and the first bite was a mouth full of fat

The restaurant had a horrible sewer odor There was water, towels and buckets on the floor throughout the restaurant I asked about the smell and was told the "ice in the pop machine was melting but how does melting ice drip from the ceiling The lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber were wet The lettuce was old and turning brown The chicken seemed to be boiled and then grilled You do get your money's worth if you like that much protein but not enough lettuce on the salad for the excessive amount of protein on the salad I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager but after being on hold for 10 minutes I hung up I called back and finally spoke to Hussain. He would not refund my money for the 2 salads. He said he was told he could only remake 1 salad but I would have to return to the restaurant and give him the original order. I informed Hussain that I was back at work and could not return to the restaurant. He still refused to give me a refund. I will never return to the location on Columbia Street in Detroit but I might visit other locations. Trina W.

Bucharest has the best shawarmas in the area In my opinion. I've been to many other restaurants for shawarma, and they fall short compared to them. I've only had the chicken shawarma and chicken shawarma salad from this location. Both are great, and that salad is enough for 2 to 3 servings.

Omg I wish I could buy the marinade they use for their chicken! It's so good!! I've been to this location multiple times. I like how big it is. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. They have the best chicken shawarma salad. They put soooo much chicken in it. It's so filling.. the small portion could feed 2 people. Also only like $6-7. The quesadilla sticks are really good. Also the fries are amazing.

I can never get sick of this place. I wish they would open something closer to the northern Oakland county. Everything is always fresh and bright. Big flavor for a healthy salad or sandwich. Lots of other options as well. Anytime I'm downtown I place a pickup order for the weekend.

In my opinion, hands down one of the best, if not the best shawarmas in Detroit! A complete meal for under $5.00! Made fresh while you wait. Shawarma salads and hummus are good too. No dining in at present, but you can order online or on their app and I understand that they have resumed local delivery.

I'd heard people rave about their chicken shawarma sandwich. That a line goes out the door in downtown Detroit location. So I tried the new location in grosse Pointe Woods. The food was very bland. All of it. Tried the lamb and hommous. Very little hommous in a container with lamb on top. The lamb was very grisslely and had an odd taste. The lamb shawarma sand had the same grisslely lamb. The or grape leaves were a generous size, but again bland. The chicken shawarma sandwich was not bad tasting but very bland. Now this is one of seven locations and I can't see a business expanding to that many locations if the food is all like this. So maybe I caught them on a bad day, or this location is not as good as the rest. But for people to tell me they made the best chicken shawarma sandwich around I was quite disappointed. Enough that I won't go back to this location. I will however try the downtown location, if only to compare. That's why I put "maybe" for recommending it. I can't judge the other ones simply based on one experience at the 7& Mack location.

Ok don't be surprised but this is my first time at this location - I haven't had Bucharest and forever; on top of that normally someone else goes get the orders for me. But today was a special request from my mother and we had maybe a 15-minute wait it wasn't long but majority of people will do a call in and pick up. You are allowed to wait which they have a seating area or stand to the side I was highly surprised that inside there they had a bakery which was pretty cool. Today I decided to do a beef shawarm a but it was a little dry to me - they gave me plenty of meat though which I was happy about but I thought the meat will be at least a little bit more juicier. More likely I'll just stick to the chicken version. One size drink are $2 - refillable if you're waiting inside. (Self serviced) Happy Eating!!!

If you're from the Detroit area I'm sure you've heard the rave about Bucharest and it's well deserved! Always hot, generous, and quick! The shawarmas are filled with meat and made to order. A side order of fries is a whole takeout box and it's only $3! How can you beat that? I have been to all of the various locations and they're always packed, but the wait is never dramatic.

You're trying to make it a Romanian shawarma but it's not... the chicken in the Bucharest shawarma is overpowering. Too much. Barely and cabbage and tomatoes. And the amount of salt... and it's nothing new. I haven't had one in two years and tried it again yesterday and yep... still very salty. I probably won't come back

I've loved Bucharest Grill since they opened in fact I would say they were one of my favorite restaurants. whenever there was talk about shawarma's, I would always recommend Bucharest Grill as the place to go in Detroit. However, my opinion has since changed. Last week Monday I went into the Detroit location on Jefferson and I ordered a shawarma with extra garlic sauce and a salad. I took the salad to work for lunch on Tuesday, and Wednesday I took the shawarma. When I bit into the shawarma the extra garlic sauce was actually mayonnaise to my surprise. When I call the Jefferson location to express my concerns I spoke with the manager Luis (pronounced Louise). He said he was the manager. I explained my concerns and I asked him if they use mayonnaise? He responded "Yes, that's one of the active ingredients in their garlic sauce (really since when is mayo used in garlic sauce). Luis said to me, " I'm sure they gave you extra garlic sauce". Yes, they did because I asked for some, but what I didn't ask for was a glob of mayo. He totally ignored the fact that my shawarma wasn't prepared as specified nor was he willing to correct their error. This is not the kind of customer service that I'm accustomed to. I have patronized their establishment for years without any complaints but if this is how they resolve issues I'm done with Bucharest Grill.

Food is always yummy here and I return time and time again because if good food and kindly service.

The last two times I came here they "lost my ticket" after waiting 45+ minutes for my shawarma, the first time I thought it was a fluke, today the same thing happened, my last chance, so irritating

I've never been to the actual location but coworkers order from here all the time! The salads are fresh, the hummus is delicious, and the shawarmas are HUGE! The first time I had one I thought it was a burrito. By far the best shawarma I've ever had. Huge, full of garlicy deliciousness, and juicy chicken. If you're in need of a quick, delicious lunch-for sure check out Bucharest Grill!

I love Bucharest, and this location is no exception. It's delicious and affordable; the best shawarma in Detroit. I've recently become vegan which makes it very difficult to try new places or even go to my old favorite places, but Bucharest has me covered with their falafel. I order it without feta, and it's huge and delicious. Lots of fresh veg and cucumber. The hummus sauce is very flavorful. The falafel itself is a little crunbly, but savory and well seasoned. Yum!

Bucharest Grill, I love you! Now I know what the rave is all about. Those gigantic shawarmas are big enough to feed two. This wrap doesn't lack flavor at all. The meat is nicely seasoned and the garlic sauce is amazing! The lettuce and tomatoes give a great boost of nutrition. The curly fries are a must as well. This place was packed when I came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. It's definitely worth the wait. The only bone I have to pick is that they don't offer catering size fries. Why not? And ease up on the sauce. It's really good but a bit too much. I definitely want to come back and I recommend you to come here as well. I hear really great things about the dessert. Clearing through my backlog of review drafts, I'll keep the write-up for Bucharest Grill short and to the point. While in town for business, the local staff indicated that Detroit has excellent Middle Eastern food, and that Bucharest Grill has some of the best shawarma in the 313 area code. So do what the locals do and order a chicken shawarma with a side of the house made hummus with fresh pita bread. The meat on the chicken shawarma is flavor bomb with intense notes of garlic, cumin, paprika, tumeric, and cinnamon. The hummus is not too smooth and unlike store bought versions, you can really taste the fresh tahini and lemon juice. Like other reviewers have noted, this is mostly a take-out joint, but there are tables for dine-in service - just don't expect a lot of ambiance. But that's fine, since for about $15, Bucharest Grill is definitely a great bargain dining spot when visiting Downtown Detroit.

The service at the one on Livernois is very bad everyone in there has an attitude they seem to always get your food wrong, so please check your bags before you leave. Be prepared for poo all customer service.
