Bucharest Grill

Just as awesome as the one down town! I love Bucharest Grill while at work in Detroit and was so happy to see this location while driving by. The location is new and very clean. The set up is the same: order at the counter or by phone; pay & pick up; then enjoy. They have a few tables to dine in but I always carry out. The Bucharest-style wrap is just like they serve in Romania; with the fries inside the wrap and highlighted with garlic and pickles. Very YUMMY! I love the garlic sauce and recommend getting extra on the side. As this location is in a strip mall, the parking wasn't great but not terrible. I arrived shortly after they opened so there was no wait. The kitchen and counter were very well staffed. There were about 3 of us there and none waited longer than a few minutes for our food.

They’re pretty darn good shawarma sandwiches one of my favorites these have lettuce and tomato and pickle unlike a lot of other traditional places . But it good 👍 and you can buy a six pack 👍 lots of chicken

Must try, food was delicious! Ordered the Bucharest grill House salad and their chicken shawarma to go. Took about 5 minutes to get my order! The food

This is absolutely crazy this is the 3rd time ordering here and every time they give us about 5-6 big pieces of chicken bite and a whole bunch of tiny shredded up little chicken on all of this lettuce. It’s suppose to be a bed of lettuce not a chicken salad if I want a chicken salad that is what I’ll order. I ate it but I will be going back to the Grosse pointe location. This location was just more convenient. I will not spend my money at the St. Clair shores location again. If I am paying for chicken bites that’s what I want not shredded chicken salad. And I will be reaching out to corporate.

First let me say I have gone to bucharest grill since the very first one in the park bar in detroit. So this is my 4th one and I was so excited to see this one open closer to me so I could get my Schwarma fix. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement! First off the schwarma - if you're after a sandwich chock full of chicken - this 4 u. That's basically all I had. A couple pickles, like 2 shreds of lettuce, no tomato and most disappointingly barely any garlic sauce at all. I remember from the park bar days we used to say how delicious they were and the sauce was running down your arms and afterward you would reek of garlic, but it was worth it. The "fatoush" salad was even more disappointing. This didn't even come close to resembling a fatoush - I think I actually had more green peppers, which I can't stand, than lettuce! Which I've never even had in a fatoush. On top of that, no pita chips at all, which, I see from other reviews I guess happens frequently. None of the signature spice or parsley and a pedestrian vinaigrette. Disappointingly I won't be back.

This is a wonderful location of Bucharest Grill!! I've been eating at Bucharest Grill since the original location that was in at the Park Bar in Detroit. This location has always been consistent in the quality of food and timeliness in the preparation. Order online to save yourself time! Every order has been spot on. We will continue to get amazing takeout (dine in when we can) from here!

I got a door dash order so cannot say anything about the service or atmosphere but the food was fantastic. Hummus is top notch and the chicken was so flavorful. I love how they have the chicken and hummus option. It’s a ton of chicken for 1 person for sure.

I got carry out of the beef shwarma and shoestring fries. The food was hot and fresh. But the fries were def not shoestring. The beef was very tough and fatty. I ended up spitting out most of the beef and just ate the onions and lettuce in the wrap. Pretty disappointed in the beef quality.

As always the chicken shawarma did not disappoint. I added extra garlic sauce (so good) and feta cheese. Also, when you get the box be prepared for enough fries for at least 2 people!

To go! Sooo many fries packed in this box and not hot but nothing the air fryer can't fix lol. The chicken was sort of dry, too. Staff were really welcoming and maybe I would dine in to compare my order. This place been here since January

I have LOVED Bucharest downtown for years. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap from the SCS location and it just wasn't good. It was basically flavorless. If I were blindfolded and ate this wrap alongside a wrap from downtown, I never would have thought they were from the same place. I hope it's just growing pains from the restaurant opening fairly recently and they just haven't worked out the kinks yet.

This is NOT Mediterranean food. Fatoush salad was lame- dressing was simply oil, no pita chips. The chicken "shawarma" sandwich was ridiculously messy/sloppy. Not legit "shawarma", just marinated chicken breast, cut up. Whole experience of the restaurant was very westernized & commercial. Won't go back.

The food here was only fine. The chicken was a little dry and stringy, the fries kinda soggy. And the sauces weren't as flavorful as they could have been. And I thought the falafel was a bit hard, and kinda tasted like it had been fried more than once. Not my favorite.

Food was excellent! Great portions, great service! Melissa was the cashier and she was super polite and quick, I will be coming back!

Tried it for a the first time as a carry out. Ordered lamb shawarma for two and a fattoush salad with lamb planned for later. Salad loaded with stringy, tough and very salty lamb. Of course the greens were wilted due to hot lamb on top. Salad consisted of a few greens and loads of green pepper. No taste at all. Pita chips on top were greasy and inedible. Shawarma also full of stringy, salty lamb. Threw most of it away. Will not go back.

Was hungry of something different and flavorful. Ordered the Chicken Shwarma sandwich. It had a lot of chicken (almost too much) on it but had an odd flavor to it, almost a moldy smell and taste. Ended up throwing it away as it was too far to return. Only my second time here (other was at a different location) but will not be back. The inside appeared clean and there were many workers present so service was quick as well.

Finally a Bucharest Grill in the Shores! Right at 13/Harper, ordered online, picked it up, and brought it home. Perfect presentation, everything was what I remember from the Downtown spots from several years ago. So glad I have one near home, now. Thank you!

Seeing over a dozen people in there and most on their phone just drives me nuts. Chickens the best but too salty. Lamb... way too much fat. Seemed like there was no trimming of the meat. Beef - a combination of salt and fat. I tried them 3 times. No more.

Clean restaurant. Ordered online and was ready on time. Friendly service. Hot and Delicious. Will definitely eat there again.

Had a chicken schwarma sandwich the chicken was way to a salty. Wife had chicken schwarma salad the chicken was also salty. Service and ambiance was excellent, but the food was not good at all. Ended up throwing out half the food.

2/10/25 St Clair Shores location... I had a lamb schwarma and it was horrible. The pieces of meat were all gristle and inedible. I opened up the sandwich to see what the other remaining pieces were like and they were the same. Very disappointed. The hummus was good fortunately.

I ordered a carry out. Pick up was easy and on time. The shawarma was ok. The fries tasted like they were a day old. Cold and hard, they were horrible!

I've eaten at many Bucharest grill restaurants in the past , but this one was sub par. I ordered chicken shwarma stick and waited over 10 minutes for it and there wasn't more than 3 people in the restaurant. When I got it, the chicken was dry and there was hardly any garlic sauce on it. it was not as good as the I've had.

Food is always amazing and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Spotless inside also. 10/10 would recommend

The food is absolutely delicious! The chicken shawarma is huge and wonderful!! Excellent service!

Went there yesterday me and the kids got the lamb unable to eat it. Chewy fatty and disgusting. Never again.
