We stumbled upon this cute spot while strolling around Columbia on a Sunday afternoon... what a gem! While many shops were closed, this place was open and welcoming. The food was delicious, and the drinks were just as good. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful weather and great conversation. The charcuterie board was phenomenal, beautifully presented and full of flavor. Such a wonderful surprise and a perfect Sunday find!

I travel a lot for work and one of the perks when traveling is finding local food gems. Buck and Board is for sure on top of my favorites leader board. From my server, who I wish I would have gotten her name so she could get credit for the amazing service! I got the whipped goat cheese board and shrimp and avocado salad. One of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. So good!! I know if I’m anywhere near Columbia again I will be stopping here again for sure!

You have to try the breakfasts here! They're great, and the coffee—oh, God, don't get me started on the coffee! It's by far the best I've had at any of the local cafes. The prices are affordable for the quality, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. Their options they have for coffe are unique; give them a try.

Absolutely Amazing! Walked by, and thought to give it a try. Roxy seated us, great person, made sure we were taken care of. Got the Soup & Sandwich, turns out it was tomato bisque and I choose the grilled cheese. This grilled cheese is no joke, ozzing cheese and paired with the bisque was absolutely amazing!! I will be back for more!!

Love using Buck and Board for my catering orders! They do such beautiful boards. Recently used them for an Italian Riviera themed baby shower and it was just perfect!

Wonderful food! Went back twice in one day! Great cocktails as well. Just don't be in a rush. It does take a while to get your food but I promise it's worth the wait.

They’ve recently revamped their patio with a sleek concrete pad, offering both high and low tables, plus propane heaters for chilly evenings and a refreshing breeze when the wind kicks up. Their menu boasts a great selection of soups, salads, and cocktails—perfect for a light, healthy lunch with friends. The service is consistently excellent, and they craft a mean Old Fashioned or Espresso Martini, depending on what I’m feeling. I often visit with family, and we love sharing a charcuterie board. Last night, during First Fridays, we snagged a prime patio table early, with plenty of street parking available despite the nearby event. Thunderstorm warnings lit up our phones, but we took the chance. A sudden downpour hit, but we’d mostly finished our meal and moved inside to a cozy, packed dining room. The staff was fantastic—no rush to clear us out; instead, they kept our drinks topped off and encouraged us to enjoy the live music. Buck & Board is a warm, one-of-a-kind spot for food, family, and fun. Highly recommend!

We did a day trip to Columbia and visited 3 places. We had drinks and dessert here. The espresso martini was excellent, beer prices reasonable and the Hummingbird Cake was noteworthy. It is a rare place that serves a “historical” recipe like this but their pastry chef knows what they’re doing.

My wife and I decided to try out Buck & Board in downtown Columbia. We came Friday night and the patio was filled with people sitting, talking, and listening to the live music. We walked in and were told to sit wherever we'd like. It was small but quaint, with maybe ten or so tables. They also had a bar area to hang out at. We selected multiple different appetizers and small plates and shared them. So we were able to sample a little of everything. We got the whipped goat cheese, crushed potatoes, bistro steak, shrimp, and the turkey + havarti. The portions for the plates were good. The steak was definitely on the smaller side, but was perfectly done. Their pea shoot pesto and roasted garlic aioli were exquisite. We had a few rounds of sangria and white wine, sat and talked while enjoying the music from outside. Our server was very friendly and attentive. All of the servers worked together to make sure everyone was being taken care of. However, I will say when this occurs you're asked a lot of the same questions. "Would you like another drink, how is everything tasting, can I get you anything else." When you answer the same question three separate times, it can get frustrating. But again, if you look at it from the other end.. we didn't wait for anything and they were consistent with making sure we had a good experience. I'd rather answer the question three separate times, than waiting for the server that never comes back. Overall we had a wonderful experience, and will recommend to our friends and family! My personal favorite was the bistro steak and the shrimp. I've been told the pork belly is very popular, however we were too full to give it a try. Cheers

We went in and ordered Greek Salads from this place. When we arrived at home we noticed they didn't put the chicken on it that it comes with. When we called we were told that they changed the salad but didn't change their menu. So we were charged $18 for a box of lettuce with a couple of olives and a few slices of cucumber. We asked for a refund and we were told that the owner will have to be contacted. I have yet to hear from the owner or receive a refund. I never recommend a restaurant that doesn't stand behind their products or service. I visited Buck & Board's new location while visiting friends in Columbia. It's beautiful inside, and they have a few tables outside. They were debuting a new menu the day we went. Their snickerdoodle mimosas were amazing! My friend and I shared the whipped feta board, which was perfection. We also shared the pesto Caprese tartine, which wasn't my favorite. But the bread is so good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Definitely a must visit in Columbia!

Food is amazing every time we dine here. Only thing that has been an ongoing issue is the waiting time to get the food. Busy or slow, we had to wait at least 35 minutes to get our food. The longest time was about an hour. Make sure you come not crazy hungry because you will get HANGRY real fast. The restaurant is pretty but the chairs are uncomfortable. Maybe it was my luck that always get to sit in an uncomfortable chair or a weird level table by the door.

I love sitting out on the patio for lunch. The sangrias are amazing & we love the Mediterranean board. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because service can be slow at times.

Since it's in the title, I didn't see any deer laying around, but I did see some charcuterie boards. Unfortunately, the one that I ordered was far from anything that was worse than what you could get at Kroger. The three cheeses were cut up from Kroger, the meats were fair to good the fruit was expired. It's strawberry season folks, please bring me strawberries - if you choose to put them on the board- that aren't molded and rotted. I had four pieces of bread for $28 charcuterie board, I would expect something more since it's the second word in the title of your restaurant. This place has a long way to go before it's acceptable.

Cute interior and a nice patio in a quiet area. Michelle was great as our server. We liked the selection of small plates and our beers were good (cans only), but when it came to actual entrees, we were disappointed. I would specifically recommend against the salmon - fishy, dry, and cold. When I received my meal, it appeared to me that they probably don't have a full kitchen. Sandwiches were okay but the bread to protein ratio was way off.

Imagine sharing a charcuterie board with a glass of wine in a French chateau-- that's the ambiance of Buck and Board. The newly opened and moved location is a little bigger than the previous (yet still small), and has a much more quaint atmosphere. The furniture, decor, and even glassware are all aesthetic and classy. Upon arrival, there were only two tables and the servers seemed to be overwhelmed. She seemed dismissive upon our arrival, but once we sat down she welcomed us in. The menu has primarily sandwiches and boards of differing kinds; however, they do not and will not make substitutions. The wait for food was very long, but the presentation is worth the anticipation. The food is beautifully styled on the iconic boards and the charcuteries are stunning. We came around 12 for lunch on a weekend, and it was packed. This is a trendy place to visit in Columbia and popular for the great flavors, vibes, and ambiance. We stop here anytime we visit the area!

Such a great addition to downtown Columbia. Great vibe and atmosphere. Eaten here a few times and ingredients are always fresh and top quality. However, today was an unfortunate anomaly (I hope) as I picked up instead of dined in and discovered the only sandwich I've ever gotten there was drastically different. The turkey and havarti usually comes with thick sliced pieces off a fresh roasted turkey breast. For some reason today was just deli turkey. I don't have a problem paying $17 for something I can't get a Kroger down the street but for that price let's try to have better consistency in ingredients gang. For context, I called to see what had happened and they told me both kinds of turkey were available, they just decided to use deli. Unacceptable at that price point...do better!

Overrated, Overpriced, and Underwhelming. Buck and Board was the worst experience I've had in middle Tennessee dining since I ate an expired Poptart. We ordered a charcuterie board, which contained enough bread to feed a small bird, and rotten fruit. The waitress took so long to bring our bread that I suspected she was harvesting it from a field. The sweet tea tasted like water. There was zero hospitality, which is surprising given the stellar location. I cannot recommend this place LESS. Please visit any other venue. Authenticity is lacking, but they will charge you as though it's Nobu. Take it from a native Tennessean--this place sucks.

I am beginning the review now as we wait for food. I hope to update this later and say we received our order but it's not looking good. It's a nice, small place in a good location. Much later: The waitress who sat us acted as though we were a burden and we never saw her after she took the order. We sipped our water carefully so as not to have to refill our glasses from the bathroom sink. The sandwiches we okay but certainly not worth the exceptionally long wait. I will not eat here in the future for any reason. To say the wait time along made an okay sandwich bad is an understatement.

Super cute and quaint spot. Not much room to dine in but definitely worth a shot! The menu is perfectly curated. The servers were super sweet and on top of everything! The citrus avocado salad is so flavorful and alone will keep me coming back.

This is such a fun and eclectic addition to Columbia! I LOVE that they're open on Sundays - it's the perfect brunch spot. Yes, it's tiny and fills up quickly - but that's kind of the charm? It feels exciting to get a spot here! Super cozy, all the food is amazing, and it's definitely unforgettable. Can't wait to try it again. This is so sad. This place used to have really great food and decent service. It WAS one of our favorite places in town. We have been back twice in the past week and they no longer have good food nor decent service. Both were terrible on both occasions. Most businesses have some common sense about customer service, not this place. So very sad.

The Salmon salad was fantastic so fresh and light- the green goddess dresses was outstanding!

This is my wife and I's second time here and the food and service were great! It was on a busy Mother's Day and even though every table was packed the servers still had smiles on their faces and were very helpful. The adult lunchable (charcuterie) idea is fantastic and their sandwiches have all been unbelievable!

BUCK AND BOARD IS BACK!!! And better than ever. ;) Their new building is so adorable. It is crazy the amount of renovations that they did to make this place their style and feel homey! I went to this building when it was a barbecue restaurant and it was so different! The servers and workers are all so sweet and kind! I went with a friend and we both got the Cranberry Mimosa and we split the large Meat & Cheese board. Everything was so good!! This location is so much better than their last. It's only slightly bigger, but they were able to make it completely their own!!

Fun atmosphere and the best sandwiches we've ever had. No joke!! Wish we lived closer.

Visiting from out of state and was told I NEED to try Buck and board. The food was SOOO delicious! I will def come visit every time I'm in town!

Good was delicious and space was nice. Loved the concept and using old books to bring the bill!

The place is cute, clean, plenty of room. The menu had a nice selection. But.....the time it took to bring out 2 salad consisting of-Romaine lettuce, a few blackberries, a few blueberries, a smear of goat cheese was nuts!!! We waited over ONE HOUR‍ Salad was nothing special either. Giving it 2 stars for the location and cleanness, but won't be returning

Giving this one a solid 3 stars, expensive coffee, and an iced tea that was leftover from a day or two ago. I sent it back and the waitress actually tried the tea behind the counter and said yep it's gross. Then proceeded to ask the other server if she made fresh or not. Now the food on the other hand was outstanding!!! The French toast was off the hook, and the breakfast sandwich was spot on! The brooch bread was heavy but very enjoyable. Will try this one again

Visited Colombia TN during our thanksgiving vacation. Nice location nearby the square. Minimal seating inside, but ample seating on the patio. It was fairly busy on a Saturday afternoon, but still received our fruit & cheese charcuterie after 20ish minutes. I suggest you put in your food order along with any appetizers at the same time, otherwise you might not get your main meal till much later. Highly recommend the Roast Beef sandwich, best and freshest I've tasted. Not sure if it was the limited work space or being short staffed, but it was a little hectic trying to get some basic amenities like silverware and napkins.

This is what we got. We ordered the Mediterranean board to go a few months ago and this is what we got. It looks nothing like any of their pictures. There were no pieces of cheese just crumbs and the bread was hard as a rock. I wish their food was better quality because their pictures looked good and we would order from them all the time if it was true to picture but we paid 30 dollars for this mess of cheese crumbs not slices and a few pieces of grapes and maybe two olives and hard bread.

What a great place to visit! We decided on outside eating so we could enjoy the nice weather. Was very pleasant We had excellent service by Seth. We had the Mediterranean board. Very good but most the food was too hot/spicy for me. Would absolutely come back again!

Absolutely adorable little gem! Wanted to do brunch with a friend who lives in Nashville area, so we decided to meet somewhere in the middle-ish between our two cities. It's small inside - only about 10 tables - but just the coziest little space. We each had the lavender mimosa - highly recommend! We split the chocolate & cheese board to start - it was delicious (all the charcuterie sounded amazing)! Then we both had the Turkey & havarti sandwiches - yum! I felt that things were well priced and excellent quality. Service was a little slow but there were only 3 people working (that I saw) and the place was packed the whole time we were there. They also have a couple tables and outdoor seating options if they weather is cooperative. All in all, spectacular place and worth making the drive from Huntsville again!

Cute little place for a lunch date or a late breakfast. There are several unique plates and brunch is served all day on Saturday & Sunday. Their Cinnamon + Vanilla Waffle is amazing. It's served on a baguette that's often too crispy at other places. Not here! It has a nice crunch on the outside, but the inside is baked to perfection with a nice, soft center. Their house-made sugar butter is to die for! I saw other dishes coming out of the kitchen, that look amazing too. I had their Greek Salad, filled with all the ingredients you'd expect and it was more than enough to make it a meal. From the level of service we got, I thought it was possible we were being served by the owner, the way she took great care of of her guests. I love how they take advantage and use ingredients from other local businesses for their mixed greens, fresh baguettes and crisp beer. I'll definitely be back to partake in some of their charcuterie boards. If you desire simple foods, prepared in a fresh, unique way, exceptional service and a lovely ambiance, be sure to stop by and experience it for yourself!

This!!!! Listen....the Adult Grill Cheese is an experience! The ambience is vintage cute! Get the fruit tea! Salads are to die for! Outdoor seating as well! Quaint but mighty! Service was exceptional!

The food was delicious but the manager made our bridal shower members feel less than welcome. The server had a great attitude but I was not happy when we were all paying separately having to pay an automatic gratuity.

Holy cow! What do I even say???? This place is amazing. I split the Turkey and Havarti sandwich with a friend along with the Fried Grape and Honey and Walnut Tartine and whoa. The sandwich and Honey and Walnut were amazing!!!! The fried grape was good but the grapes were a little too wine soaked... if that's even possible everything was served on cute little charcuterie boards and the service was amazing. We will definitely be going back!

I walked into an empty restaurant for brunch after observing a mass of people herding in and out of Marcy Joe's next door to dine on their overrated tourist sludge, now I know why.... it just ain't very good, and I'm being kind. Pretentious and stuffy were my first impressions, that was fortified when my server brought out a sugar bowl with a little baby spoon stuck down in the thing. Fortunately the java from Buckhead Coffee (sister restaurant) was very good, so I stuck my nose in their silly little gimmick of a menu (that would be the "board") and landed on the Savory Waffle with Homemade Red Eye gravy, doesn't that just sound heavenly? Well knowing that Red Eye gravy only has 3 ingredients and there are maybe 4 people on the planet that still know how to make this magical elixir I boldly ordered these cornbread waffles knowing the end product was likely to be a disaster.... it was. First off the waffles weren't properly crisp'd, they were pretty limp and covered with some goo that looked more like caramel sauce than red eye gravy. Oh, and my "soft egg".... I got a yolk that was cooked all the way through. At this point I'm still the only order in the kitchen so there's not much excuse for this, the whole mess was fairly tasteless. High marks for the sausage though even though they didn't know where it came from. Anyway there seems to be an epidemic of restaurants serving meals in a bowl these days around Middle TN, have y'all seen this? I've had steak in a bowl, chicken in a bowl, waffles in a bowl, and if somebody ever brings me a pork chop in a bowl I'm going to have a GD apoplexy, and they are normally reserved for rich old Southern white women. Its worth mentioning that my server was a delight, an absolute doll. So if y'all catch me going back here for lunch it won't be for the food knowhudahmsayin?

LOVE the cozy, at-home feeling of Buck & Board. Stumbled onto it when looking for a place for a quick lunch with my daughter. We ordered coffees (magnificent!) and a charcuterie board that was SO good. We wound up sitting there for hours, catching up on what was going on in our lives. The staff was so nice & made us feel welcome. I just wish they were open around dinner or evenings because they close pretty early. That's my only complaint: that K can't get enough of Buck & Board. A great memory was made there.

Came here for a Mommy Breakfast date and this place was so cozy and the food was delish. Great ambiance, nice place for a small bite or full meal. We had the fruit and cheese board, French toast with bacon and scrabbled eggs...no complaints with the food. Looks and taste great.

From the moment we walked in, we knew we had found an amazing spot! Friendly staff, delicious made to order dishes, perfect location just off the beaten path. Eat and drink here - you won't be sorry!

Glad they offered good wine from California. The cheese board wasn't quite what I thought was the best (not enough of a selection for a large board) and i like everything precut which ours was not.

We love making trips to Columbia from Nash because of this place, it always delivers incredible food, great music and really nice people. Try their cheese board, sandwiches and sangria :) After lunch,explore all the antique shops! I've been back at least 10 times.

Fantastic service and food in the cutest little place. Meat and cheese board was huge...plenty for 2 people and the beer selection, while limited, has good variety. I can see why Buck and Board is always crowded!

This place is fantastic! We are in Columbia for a softball tournament and lucked onto the Buck and Board. My husband and I shared the Mediterranean board then ended our meal with roasted sprout salads. John's had huge strips of country ham on it. Every town needs a Buck and Board. Great food and just an amazing concept. They even had a Barkutertie board for fur babies. If you are anywhere near Columbia you need to stop by the Buck and Board...definitely a 5 star experience.

The boards have great quality. They pile them up with food. They also have options for some fresh salads. The wine is good. They have good options. The set up is very laid back. The service isn't the best. They may need to hire more people or do some training. Very nice people though.

Great little spot with wonderful food and atmosphere. Went for dinner with a friend and everything was delish. We split the turkey and havarti sandwich, Mediterranean board and a slice of chocolate cake and it was all so so good. I would definitely go back for a glass of wine and to try some other items on the menu.

This is our favorite lunch spot in Columbia! Love their beet salad and tartines! The restaurant itself is SO adorable!! They have done such a great job with all of the decor. Staff is super nice too!!
