I loved my stay at Buckle Street Studios by Locke. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to Aldgate East tube, with the Tower of London, Brick Lane, and Spitalfields Market nearby. My studio was spotless, stylish, and surprisingly well-equipped, with a comfy bed, powerful shower, and handy kitchenette for light meals. Staff were warm, professional, and quick to help with anything I needed. The building felt secure and quiet, making it a great place to relax after a day out. Ideal for solo travelers or couples wanting a modern, central London base.

Room was a bit cramped, but big enough to fit me and my boyfriend’s two small suitcases. The bathroom came with one towel ( we booked for two people) so we had to ask reception for another, which is not a big issue in my opinion. The people at reception were super nice and welcoming. Especially jade, #LoveJade and her hospitality. Overall we stayed for 5 nights and it was very pleasant. Would recommend!

Quiet hotel in a super central location supermarkets, cafés and the tube just around the corner. Room mostly clean, though some dust seemed to be on holiday. The “upgrade” at check-in felt more like marketing BS I wondered if otherwise I’d have ended up in a Futurama-style broom closet. 😅 The micro apartment is practical but very compact: bed about 120–140 cm wide (perfect for one person, for two it’s “cuddle-course deluxe”), and almost no storage. Air conditioning can only be controlled via reception, no socket in the bathroom doing your hair in the kitchen has its own charm. For 1–2 nights highly recommendable, but for longer stays or two people it’s quite a challenge.

I had an amazing stay at Buckle Street Studios by Locke and can’t recommend it enough! The location is unbeatable — just a few minutes’ walk from Aldgate East and Aldgate stations, and within easy reach of Brick Lane, Spitalfields Market, Tower Bridge, and the City. It made exploring London effortless, whether I wanted to walk to landmarks or hop on the Underground.||The design of the property is what really sets it apart. It feels more like stepping into a boutique gallery than a standard hotel — modern, stylish, and beautifully curated with moody lighting and thoughtful details. My studio had everything I needed: a comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchenette (perfect for preparing quick meals), and excellent use of space. Yes, the rooms are compact, but they’re cleverly laid out and ideal for solo travellers or couples who want a sleek city base.||I was especially impressed by the facilities. Guests have access to a gym, yoga studio, coworking spaces, and even a free laundry room, which was such a bonus for a longer stay. The café and bar next door at Leman Locke added extra convenience, and the fact that it’s dog-friendly is a big plus.||Cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming — they went out of their way to make the stay seamless. The 24-hour reception also gave me peace of mind, especially as I was arriving late.||If you’re looking for a stylish, well-located aparthotel in London with thoughtful amenities, Buckle Street Studios by Locke is a gem. It’s perfect for business trips, city breaks, or even a longer stay if you don’t mind compact living — the design, service, and location more than make up for it.

We stayed in the largest (adaptable) room and found it VERY uncomfortable. There is a very large (2.4m x 1.4m) bespoke padded bench. The interior designer needs to get their head out of their ahrse and make the room usable. This bench has an indent so that ONE person can sit and watch the T.V. Even then the sqab is 70 cm deep. A normal chair has a sqab that is 40 to 45 cm deep. There is no space to walk around the bed because of this bench. The bed is the only comfortable place to sit/lay BUT the T.V. is above your head. Just stupid! The room is dismal due to poor lighting. If this stupid bench is removed and replaced with a small (1.2m x 0.6m) rectangular table with 2 comfortable dining/lounge chairs the room would be a five star room. We are very disappointed.

A very nice experience at Buckle Street Studio. The neighborhood is very nice with lots of things nearby (metro, bus, restaurants, supermarket, etc.). We also really liked the view from the room. The staff is extremely helpful (24/7 via WhatsApp, which is a great feature if needed!) The room is very very small, however, we only came in to sleep, so it didn't bother us, but it's good to keep it in mind.

The room was super narrow and it was impossible to get to one side of the bed without bruises. You could hear people in the other rooms at night as if they were right next to you. Half the things that were listed when booking - washing machine, coffee machine, iron, sofa, didn’t exist in the room, which is just false advertisement. When asking the staff about the coffee machine listed they told me they have a kettle and instant coffee - those should do the job. We had 1 towel even though 2 people were registered for the room and had to go down to pick some up. It was super dusty in the room and the ventilation was really poor, the bathroom didn’t dry at all because there wasn’t a fan in there. There wasn’t 1 window that you could crack to get some air in. The bed and pillows weren’t that comfortable and there were no side tables. Furthermore, I’d have to break my neck to watch the TV in the room because of the awkward placement. I’d booked a studio and the room we were given wasn’t anything close, just because you have a sink next to the front door it doesn’t mean you can advertise it as a kitchenette. Overall, the value for money just wasn’t there. When you’re paying half a grand you’d expect at least the things listed when booking would be present.

I stayed at Buckle Street Studios during a work trip to London. The location is definitely a highlight—just a 2-minute walk from Aldgate station and around 10 minutes to my office in the City. The area is lively, with plenty of great restaurants and cafés nearby, which made dining out easy and enjoyable. The studio itself was okay, but very compact. There was hardly any space to move around, and the kitchen was quite small. I struggled to figure out how to operate the microwave, which wasn’t ideal after a long day. While the space was clean and the staff were friendly, I found the overall setup a bit cramped for the price. There are better options in the area offering more spacious studios at similar rates, so I’d recommend exploring those if comfort and room to breathe are priorities. Buckle Street Studios works if you’re after a short, no-frills stay in a central location—but it’s not the most comfortable choice for longer visits.
