Best Breweries and Taprooms in Bucks County

"Bucks County Brewery in Pipersville offers a rotating tap roster filled with your favorite beers, including saison, pale ale, and porter varieties, to name a few. You’re sure to work up an appetite enjoying those pints so it’s a good thing you can order delicious menu items from one of the local food trucks you’ll often find visiting the brewery." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

We just discovered this hidden gem and we could not love it more! The beers are the absolute best ever, the owner is awesome, and the environment is great. On warm nights it’s a party outside with food trucks and live music. Our kids had a blast and didn’t want to leave. So happy to have such an incredible place right around the corner.

They have the front lot open with picnic tables and chairs and umbrellas! There were bottles of hand sanitizer on every table from the distillery that's attached to the brewery! They also brought out a dog bowl filled with water for our puppy! They even had free dog treats that a couple brothers dropped off to start their own business with. Our dog loved the beef treat, but we think she has a chicken allergy so we left that treat for someone else! The beers we're good, wife really liked the IPA as did I.

Had a wonderful time with the family on Saturday night. We came out for a few beers and the Cousins Lobster truck. The beer I had were great! I very much appreciate you guys offering a porter and stout in the Summer. It’s almost blasphemy to any IPA to drink dark beer in the Summer, but I’m down for FLAVOR!! Next time I’ll be sure to try the distillery. Thank you!

Tucked away in Pipersville, Bucks County Brewery is a hidden gem for craft beer lovers. This small, independent brewery may be modest in size, but it’s big on character and even bigger on flavor. Their signature IPA, Chuicy, is an absolute standout and one of the most unique IPAs I’ve ever had. If you're a fan of hazy IPAs—or just great beer in general—you need to try Chuicy. It’s the kind of brew that keeps you coming back for more, and one that puts Bucks County Brewery on the map as a must-visit spot for craft beer enthusiasts. Cheers!

CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! Every beer we had was fantastic, and the staff was wonderful! The stout is exceptional! Live music in the spacious beer garden too, food truck on site!

One of the best breweries I’ve visited. Glen was amazing and a very gracious bartender. He recommended the best beers, even though, all of the beer is incredible. Super friendly and made you feel right at home. Brewery is very chill and family friendly. Highly recommend! Would definitely come back!

Great small brewery in a quaint corner of Bucks County that punches way above its weight

Yelp
We have enjoyed summer Saturday nights listening to music, packing dinner or munching on food truck items and tasting the brewery's menu of beers. We have brought our children and set up cornhole and had enjoyable nights together. Looking forward to bringing my lawn chair to drink the fall beers and relax.

Yelp
I am a big fan of this now one year old brewery. I especially like the crab-a-loupe ale (made with cantaloupe), Hefeweizen, jalapeno saison, barley nectar vanilla porter, and chocolate orange porter. The husband and wife owners are very personable, and love to chat with whoever walks in the door. In the warmer months, they have food trucks and live music. In addition to great beer, parents can bring their kids because they brew their own root beer and birch beer, which are also delicious. If there are no food trucks, you can order from the local pizza place, and they will deliver to the brewery.

Yelp
Would not recommend. Staff at brewery and their Contracted food truck do not, and refused to wear masks. All the customers in the food line had them on. We got our drinks at Hewn spirits next door, where they had masks on. Canceled our BBQ order from food truck. Can't understand how they don't have any sense in what state laws are currently in place. Won't be coming back.

Yelp
I was fortunate enough to visit the Bucks County Brewery on their first weekend open for business. They are a production brewery with a small tasting room. located off of 611 in Pipersville, PA, about five miles north of Doylestown. Their beers are far from ordinary. I was able to try three of the beers, a RYE ale, an Irish Red Ale, and their CrabAloupe Ale. The last beer was the most interesting, a beatiful english style ale with crab apples and cantaloupe added. They also make a porter called Barley Necttar that is a porter with bourbon soaked vanilla beans that had kicked by the time I got there. The tasting room allows you to sample the beers, and take home growlers, (bring your own or they will sell you one.) They currently have no food there, but in the warmer months hope to add tables outdoors and bring in food trucks on weekends. It is so nice to have a local brewery in Central Bucks, and I look forward to trying more of the beers over time.

Yelp
We love this place. The owners, Andrew and Bev are terrific hosts! The small bar area is about to be expanded. On Friday and Saturday nights, the outdoor area turns into a big party space, with live music and food trucks. It is kid and dog friendly. This is a local hangout, with many regular customers. They offer flights of four beers for only eight dollars, so two people can sample everything. I like the fact that it is near where I live, but it is definitely worthwhile traveling to it.

Yelp
The tasting room, while not very big, was nicely situated and very conducive to hanging out with friends and sampling from the 8 taps (including a nitro). The husband and wife team/staff were extremely personable and treated us (complete strangers) like friends. after some discussion about beer and brewing from across the bar, he offered to give us tour of the brew house, which we gladly accepted. You can tell that these people love what they are doing, and it is reflected in everything...not to mention in the beers themselves. They had some unique twists on conventional styles, but they were made with a deft hand and quite successful. it was a hard decision, but my wife and I chose the "Barley Nectar" vanilla porter as our favorite and got a growler to go. (my one brother was all about the jalapeno saison, and my other really liked the irish stout, but since it was on nitro it could not be a "to go" option) Any beer fans within driving distance should do themselves a favor a make the trip here so you can tell your friends about the "hidden gem" you discovered in the middle of nowhere Bucks County!

Yelp
Very cool place and love the character at night (fire pit, lights, games, live music). Happy to support the locals. Great to have Hewn next door too. Personally never been a fan of your beer but the place is fun.

Yelp
Probably don't want to waste your time. Website information is not accurate. Plain paper sign on the door says closed and been that way for a month now.

Yelp
Every time I come here, I learn something and I catch a buzz. What more could you ask for? Andrew is amazing. Ask him anything. If you want to drink beer and be left alone--perhaps not the ideal place. If you want to feel like you belong--I have no higher recommendation!

Yelp
This brewery flew under my radar for a year. I have no idea how. The beer beer runs from very good to outstanding, according to my taste and I've been around a bit. Andrew and Bev, the owner/ brewers are outstanding folks and the crowd is the nicest group of people you would ever want to meet. Lots of families and fun times with the food trucks and bands. The nights can get extremely busy so if you just want a sample or get a growler filled I would suggest getting there early. My only complaint is that it's not big enough to accommodate the crowds who appreciate a great time but BCB is working on that with a well planned out expansion. Cheers!

Yelp
I've been here 3 times now All close to closing time on a Sunday. Great Kolsch beer. Today having their Summer Solace which is very tasty. I live around the corner and just started coming here after they've been open for 5ish years now. Very quiet and peaceful here at least at the times when I come. Sitting in the sun enjoying a cold brew Can't beat it!!!!!! Come check it out. Will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Great start up brew. The Saison was different but excellent, don't let the description fool you. The vanilla porter was very good with a hint of vanilla and the Irish stout will be a hit today. All the beers are done well and I look forward to many visits and of course an upcoming pint in a lawn chair. Cheers! Grahm cracker porter brew was outstanding. Cant wait fir the growler!

Yelp
Very unique and amazing beers on tap! I drove 1.5hrs to come visit the brewery for a flight and fill up few growlers to bring back a few times since they have opened. Andrew, the owner and brewmaster, and his wife, Bev, are pleasant to talk to while visiting. Worth the trip to see what else he's brewing!

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Really great place for a visit. The beers are good (especially like the Barley Nectar Vanilla Porter and the Coffee Stout on nitro) and the owner is super nice. You can get either a pint or a sampler. The sampler paddle includes your choice of four small pours ($7). Growler fills are $15 ($25 if you don't bring your own growler). The real show stealer were these free bagel bites - Bucks County Brewery sends their spent grain to a shop in Doylestown that makes these delectable little bites that pair quite nicely with the beer (along with this delicious wasabi mustard for dipping). Definitely a bit off the beaten path in an industrial park. If you come later in the day (after 5 Fridays and Saturdays) you can double down with Hewn Spirits next door.

Michelle A.

Yelp
We held my sister's bridal shower here and had a great experience. Both the owner of the brewery and the staff of the adjacent Hewn Spirits were really helpful and downright pleasant, and they were super flexible with us. Our guests really enjoyed the house-brewed root beer!

Yelp
Visited the new brewery yesterday. They had about 8 beers on tap. I enjoyed several especially the Pale Ale and Irish Red. Took a growler to go. I look forward to going back when the distillery across the hall opens. The owner gave us a great tour and they were some great people. Best of luck to them.

George G.

Yelp
Good beer. Limited choices but they will be expanding. It'll be a great place and another gem of a brewery in the Bucks County area.

Emily R.

Yelp
We love BCB and Hewn, not just for their drinks, but for what they are to the community. Their family friendly music events offer an evening activity where the kids dance and the adults socialize and enjoy the music. The brewery offers a really impressive variety of beers based both on style and alcohol content, and the prices are great at $5 per beer. We are looking forward to nicer weather so we can spend our evenings here again!
