Aya's take:
As you can see, we came to eat. We arrived at 8pm for our party of 8's reservation. Despite it being a Saturday night, they weren't busy at all! We ordered a bunch of stuff to share and honestly, before coming here, I had low expectations thinking this was just going to be an overpriced meal that lacked flavor. I'm so happy to say I was wrong. If there's anything you take away from this review, it's that - get. the. sushi. It was incredibly fresh, the pieces were large, and the flavors were phenomenal! And the presentation was a 10/10. The Salmon Crispy Rice & Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice were both great and easy to share. I would absolutely skip the Crispy Duck & Foie Gras Dumplings. 3 pieces for ~$29 is a ripoff when it's just deep fried so you can't really taste the duck or foie gras. This would be much better if it was steamed and maybe topped with foie gras instead. After receiving the sushi, we waited 50 minutes until the Skirt Steak and Wild Mushroom Fried Rice hit the table. The Skirt Steak was cooked to a perfect medium, well-seasoned, and I liked the crispy onions on top. I think our waiter forgot and honestly, he wasn't attentive at all throughout the night. Even to pay the bill, it probably took 10-15 minutes and we had to wave him down since he was talking to another worker. All in all, if you're looking to do a large group dinner, I think Buddha Bar is solid since you can order a bunch of stuff and share. Making a reservation was fairly easy and the ambiance is classy and chic. Good experience overall!
