I’ve wanting to go here for quite a long time. And we finally got there on Mother’s Day. Surprisingly it was easy to make a reservation. And when we arrived I was shocked to see that the restaurant was practically empty. Just few people. That was a red flag right there. Most places are packed on holidays like this. We made our order. The worry was friendly , food arrived pretty quick. But I didn’t enjoy it at all. It was bland . But the prices were high. Not recommending and not coming back(((

I can’t say enough good things about this place! From the moment you walk in, the service is exceptional—staff go above and beyond to create a truly memorable experience. The food is nothing short of amazing, with each dish beautifully plated. The truffle rolls are out of this world—without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had in NYC! The drinks are just as impressive, perfectly crafted and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is vibrant and energetic, and the DJ set takes it to the next level. I can’t recommend this place enough—definitely a must-visit!

Celebrated my friends' birthday ! Made reservations for 830. We got there and we were seated immediately! The staff was very welcoming and polite . The atmosphere was perfect, very relaxing & well lit , chill vibes. Our waitress was outstanding and the food was amazing 👏🏾 it's pricey but worth the experience.

I decided to go to Buddha Bar during their restaurant week. I specifically wanted to go there knowing that it is a sleek and happening restaurant with mixed reviews. Firstly, I wanted to address if the ambience is what it seems to be. The answer is, 100%. Their interior is full of tasteful black and gold hues. Most importantly, they have a beautifully decorated buddha that has stunning changing lights. Now, let’s discuss their service. Although Buddha Bar is notorious for having bad customer service, I personally experienced nothing of that sort. The most I have experienced was our drinks being delayed. However, as soon as I said something to our waiter, it was served to us right away. Also, if you want their restaurant week menu, you have to specifically ask your waiter for it. They do not initially give you the restaurant week menu. Lastly, how were their food and drinks and would it be worth going there again not during their restaurant week. The answer is yes and yes. Both the quality and taste were excellent. My two highlights were the King Salmon roll and the Serenity drink. I highly recommend this place for a sophisticated girl’s night or a fancy date night.

I’m very particular with where I dine and have a list of expectations/standards which Buddha Bar fulfilled perfectly. This is a great place for that dark and luxurious vibe, an atmosphere with keen attention to detail. Service was exceptional and my party and I were well taken care of. Drinks were just as appealing as the vibe of the restaurant. I enjoyed the appetizers more than my main, presentation however was beautiful. Taste wise, I expected more. Reccommend this to anyone who appreciates a more mature crowd.

It was fantastic! I decided to celebrate my new job role here and it was absolutely right chose! The rolls were absolutely delicious, for my opinion it is the best rolls in NYC! Service and team were friendly and professional, all suggestions from the team were the 10/10 And also I want to mention the quality of sound and DJ set- it the place where you can really enjoy it!

If you're looking for a memorable night out in NYC, make sure you add Buddha-Bar New York to your reservation list. The ambiance, food, and service are top notch. Ambiance: They have a gorgeous mezzanine where you can enjoy one of their signature cocktails before or after your meal. They're main dining area is stunning as well. Food: Dinner here is delicious. It may be a bit of a splurge, but you'll enjoy high quality ingredients prepared & plated artfully. I've tried the Wild Mushroom Fried Rice, Duck Breast, Wok Seared Scallops, and several apps and they've all been very good. The duck breast is cooked perfectly and the truffle portion on the fried rice is generous. Service: I felt very taken care of at Buddha-Bar and received a high quality of service. Their team was friendly and attentive, it was a great experience. Thank you!

Been there on Monday night for my friends birthday dinner. The decor inside is so incredible, chic and cozy. I was really impressed and couldn’t get enough enjoying the vibes. Drink is really good and well decorated. I’m not very into their food, so we just ordered appetizer, drink and dessert. Service is also excellent, friendly and helpful. I put 4 stars because of the hostess, the lady is pretty rude to our group.

We arrived at 8pm for our party of 8's reservation. Despite it being a Saturday night, they weren't busy at all! We ordered a bunch of stuff to share and honestly, before coming here, I had low expectations thinking this was just going to be an overpriced meal that lacked flavor. I'm so happy to say I was wrong. If there's anything you take away from this review, it's that - get. the. sushi. It was incredibly fresh, the pieces were large, and the flavors were phenomenal! And the presentation was a 10/10. The Salmon Crispy Rice & Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice were both great and easy to share. I would absolutely skip the Crispy Duck & Foie Gras Dumplings. 3 pieces for ~$29 is a ripoff when it's just deep fried so you can't really taste the duck or foie gras. This would be much better if it was steamed and maybe topped with foie gras instead. After receiving the sushi, we waited 50 minutes until the Skirt Steak and Wild Mushroom Fried Rice hit the table. The Skirt Steak was cooked to a perfect medium, well-seasoned, and I liked the crispy onions on top. I think our waiter forgot and honestly, he wasn't attentive at all throughout the night. Even to pay the bill, it probably took 10-15 minutes and we had to wave him down since he was talking to another worker. All in all, if you're looking to do a large group dinner, I think Buddha Bar is solid since you can order a bunch of stuff and share. Making a reservation was fairly easy and the ambiance is classy and chic. Good experience overall!

Came here for restaurant week . The things we picked to order were definitely tasty and worth the restaurant week visit . Beware it was only 2 of us and they charged us a 20% service fee on top of 20 percent automatic gratuity so basically Ann automatic 40% fee . The crispy noodles has a nice savory soy taste and the noodles were very crunchy , The coconut sauce for the fish was the star of the show The dessert we could have done without . Because it was included we ate them but definitely not worth the price . The place is absolutely beautiful and the night we went the service was great

The Paris location definitely surpasses this one, but it was still a nice experience overall. The ambiance is pleasant. The halibut dish was phenomenal--the coconut sauce was the standout element. However, the sides were underwhelming and tasted like they were doused in canola oil, which really took away from the overall flavor. The shishito peppers lacked seasoning, the edamame was ordinary, and the Brussels sprouts again had that overwhelming oily taste. On the other hand, the spicy salmon rice was very good and a highlight of the meal. As for desserts, they weren't impressive enough to order. Overall, the meal was pleasant, and the dishes felt fresh, but aside from a few standout items, I wouldn't rave about the rest.

Was here for dinner on a Friday night and really enjoyed ourselves! The food is Asian fusion. Martinis are delicious! So is every cauliflower dish! They have a good amount if vegan options which i appreciate, Desserts were a miss! Greats atmosphere-

Such a classy restaurant in the city. We were there on the Valentine's night and it was so beautifully decorated. A reservation is needed in advance. The interiors were so well decorated and there is this huge Buddha statue at the centre which is well lighted and brings charm and peace to this place. The services were excellent and our menu did not have much options for vegetarians. However, our waitress made sure to replace it for us which was great. And the food was delicious too

This is a such a great restaurant! At first I was hesitant to go as I feel like it had become THE spot and it just felt like it would have been an overcrowded over rated experience. But I was wrong! We had an amazing time with great service and great food. Atmosphere: This really is a beautiful restaurant. They have these gorgeous stairs you come down into the restaurant and the buddha is on those stairs. They have LED lights that are constantly changing the color and designs on the statue but done in such a subtle way that it doesn't hurt your eyes. The decor here is classy and elegant and feels very chic. Food: The food was flavorful and well presented. They have a separate menu for vegetarians/vegans. Side note, it hasn't been updated as frequently as their general menu so there are a few more veggie dishes that may not be on this menu. I'd ask for a general menu too just in case. We really enjoyed all the food we got there: cauliflower bao buns, maitake bao buns, vegetable rice, crispy noodles, and mapo tofu. Our favorite was the maitake bao buns and the mapo tofu We split these items among three people and it was enough, although I will say maybe we needed one more thing. We also got the tiramisu for dessert and it was perfect, not super sweet or with overwhelming amounts of coffee flavor. Drinks: We got 2 cocktails and both were delicious and strong. They were presented in a pretty manner and felt like true mixology cocktails opposed to something generic. Because we booked our reservation through our "Select" membership, we got both our drinks for free! A great plus, since a cocktail there cost about $20. I loved the atmosphere, food, and amazing drinks! The staff were super friendly and attentive. I wish the music wasn't as loud. Felt a little rowdy because of it. I am obsessed with the Serenity Cocktail drink!!! Vodka, matcha and lychee pure!!! All my favorite things in one drink! The sashimi platter is also amazing. I will be back for sashimi platter, serenity, and the chicken dish again! The brussels sprouts were undercooked... could've been more roasted and cooked. But overall, a great experience!!!

This was my second time at Buddha Bar. This time there was a DJ. Music was great but it was a bit loud at dinner. I ate less sushi this time and tried different items. I loved the tuna tartare with caviar and avocado. I would definitely get that again. The red snapper was also a fave. I wasn't crazy about the salmon crispy rice. I enjoyed both the pearl and aperitivo sour drinks. The ambiance is really nice! Perfect for any celebration. If you're taking someone out on a date, request the table right in front of the Buddha!

This review is only for the bar area. We had eaten in the area and wanted a place to relax. They had a DJ by the bar. It was club music with no words. The DJ did a great job. The bartender knew how to do her job. My Polynesian was delicious and strong. I thought it was well worth its price. My Husband said his old fashion was properly made. It was a great night. I would come back just to relax in this bar area.

This restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and I was soooo disappointed when some of the dishes we ordered just didn't hit. Came here with my husband for my birthday dinner and started with a wonderful glass of sparkling Schramsberg Rose while he had The Pearl (he said it was good). Buddha-Bar does 'sharing plates' so things come out when they are done vs coming out all at one time. The King Crab and Uni Noodles were my first pick but our waiter told me it is a really spicy dish so I decided to go with the Soft Shell Crab Bao Buns (would not get again, lacked seasoning 4/10), the Seasonal Vegetable Fried Rice - bomb (10/10), and the Spicy Lobster Tempura roll - my favvvvv for the night (15/10). My husband ordered the King Salmon, which he said was an overall 6/10 for flavor but the tenderness and flakiness was 10/10 for sure. OMG and the distilled water was the best!! Finding the bathroom was a challenge as it's so dark. The iconic Buddha is eye catching up close and changes colors. Overall, I would come back to Buddha-Bar and definitely try the King Crab and Uni Noodles along with another Spicy Lobster Tempura Roll.

Food was appealing. Service was good. This is the kind of place you go for the vibes, but mostly this is a place were you bring your friends for pre drinks and chatting before a big night. There were six of us and our server took care of us all. Cute place for pictures

Great atmosphere and wonderful service- nice and quick. You can come to share or order dishes. We shared crispy rice, fried noodles (my fav), pork, tofu and more. All were delicious and really enjoyed- Asian food with a fusion twist. Strongly recommend

Really gorgeous. A smaller Tao essentially in terms of aesthetic & energy. It gets loud as soon as 9pm hits. The live dj plays bomb music though! We were seated immediately per our res & coat check was offered several times, which I was the only who took advantage, glad it was no charge. The server was very forgetful. Steak is always a hit or miss for me. Like, do you steak eaters chew & swallow the chunks that don't break down? I spit that crap out when I get a steak like that & it makes me feel so unladylike. Argh. I did like how it was seasoned & the pistachio crunch was a nice, unique touch. I've had more flavorful Brussels sprouts before but as a healthy eater, these were perfectly cooked (meaning no cooked or charred into a seasoning where the nutrients are cooked out). The chai tiramisu was a must try for me as I thought it was such a cool twist to the Italian staple dessert. It tasted good but I wished it had more cake or that they would've used lady fingers additionally to reduce the cheese. Did it taste like chai? Yes! Light. I don't have to return here wasn't wow'd but def can recommend. Go, enjoy!

Tried the dinner here during restaurant week.. service was really slow even when it was Sunday and wasn't at capacity, our starters arrived really late after 25 minutes.. after multiple attempts to grab the attention of server, and it was ready as it was just yellowtail jalapeño which aint much of preparation.. so it came instantly when i asked for it, so just because of negligence we had to wait. Avocado crispy rice was another starter, really small portion and bland in flavor. Portion sizes are really small for the price even less than Michelin star restaurants I have been to.. not worth the money in my opinion. I was not full even after a 3 course menu they offered during restaurant week. Not even once did anyone check to refill water or asked if we liked the food. Their sesame chocolate bar dessert was really good though. I found it really overpriced for the flavors +quantity of food they serve. It was one and done experience Ambience was really good though but there are places in NYC with better food quality and similar ambience.

The food was 6/10. Lemon drops 10/10. I made 8:30pm reservations for my friend's birthday. We weren't seated until 10:15pm once I decided to speak directly with the manager. The ambiance was beautiful.

I greatly enjoyed Buddha bar restaurant. I definitely think their cocktails were phenomenal! Food was delicious as well. Took my bf for his bday here and we had a great dinner . It is in the pricey side but I knew it from the start. The place decor is sexy ambience. Dim lighting with a great vibe. Very ig worthy pics. Their tomahawk and fried rice was def worth the try as well as their buns. Also must try their crispy rice. Service was good but we did have to wait a little more than expected. I would def recommend this restaurant for a date night or special event.

Amazing restaurant for those looking for a new restaurant ! At first I was a bit skeptical as the wasn't going go bd as good as expected. I've had my fair share of fusion Asian food and had never had good experiences. As a party of five the staff was very accommodating, we sat downstairs where the larger parties were usually at. The five of us shared uni crab noodles, scallion noodles, wagyu steak, whole sea bass, wok greens, truffle mushroom fried rice , and a sushi roll. High recommend: Whole sea bass: this was a shareable price, the whole fish is filleted and each piece was perfectly fried. Soft crispy fish with a hint of spicy. Although we would have preferred the fish to be seasoned more heavily this dish was still phenomenal. FYI don't leave the fish as is. There was still a ton of meat left around the bones! Pick at them Scallion noodle: pan fried noodles laid flat and fried until crisps. The sauce it comes with is a bit more sweet than savory but still one of our favorites Mushroom truffle fried rice: amazing rice, this one is a must get side for anything you get. Fresh truffles shaved on top and the flavor was outstanding. Packed with mushroom Wok greens: once again sauce was on the sweeter side than preferred but still enjoyable. Missing the 'wok' flavor which is sad since the dish was named after it. Alright dishes: Wagyu steak: the steak itself was tough even though it was cooked to a medium, the garlic and onion toppings saved it. Though I would say it's not worth the price Sushi rolls: expensive sushi rolls. Don't necessarily need to order this as it taste like your normal run of the mill roll Avoid: Crab and uni noodles: I'm not sure if it's because we were unlucky or what. But the noodle dish itself was so sour that it made it unpleasant to eat. Zero uni taste and zero crab was found in this dish. Not worth the price or hype and tasted horrible. Had to practically forced ourselves to finish it

I've been wanting to come here for a while now, but didn't get around to it until this past week for restaurant week. Great time to come, since the menu had some great options to get a sampling of a few different delicious dishes! To start, I had the yellowtail jalapeño. A fresh and light dish to start the meal - would get this again! For my entree, I had the halibut en croute. Another light dish that was perfectly tender in a delicious white curry sauce. For dessert - I was at first a bit skeptical of the black sesame chocolate bar, but at the recommendation of our server, decided to go for it! It was like a richer Kit Kat bar - a bit sticky, but I was a fan. All in all, a great restaurant week meal! Also cool vibes - would also come back just for the bar/drinks sometime.

While I loved the ambiance, music and food, I can not give this 5 stars due to the major issue we had with our table. We went with a large group on Friday night, I made a reservation for 8:30pm, half of our party arrived early/on time and the others arrive 15 mins later, everyone arrived. When I went back to check in with the hostess, she informed me that there was an issue, and that issue was that they gave away our table, while we were waiting at the bar getting drinks! I have NEVER heard of this before! Especially when many already arrived on time and checked in! I can understand if she gave our table away because no one showed up, but what nerve do they have giving our table away when we were there! After many discussions with the managers Frank and Kenji. Our group finally got our table at 9:45pm! Should've been dessert time at this point! What a nightmare the reservation system at Buddha Bar! This restaurant does not honor reservations and will give away your table without any notice! After this horrible start of the evening, I have to say that the managers did a good job of keeping me informed of what they were doing and the status of the table. They also provided us with drinks and dessert, which I did appreciate. Overall, I loved the ambiance and music, it was a happening spot on Friday night! The food was also excellent. We ordered many different dishes all to share: Started with sushi for appetizers: - 7 piece nigiri - Truffle hamachi roll - Toro roll - King salmon roll This was beautifully plated and all of the rolls were amazing! Followed by: - Toro tartare with a bed of beluga caviar on top and delicious crispy rice cracker (highly recommend this!) - Tomahawk steak on the bone (I enjoyed this, however for the price, it was a bit steep, could've gotten this for half at a steakhouse) - Iberico pork secreto - roast duck breast (this was excellent!) - King salmon (tenderly cooked delicious!!) - wild mushroom fried rice (also excellent!) - wok charred greens (love!) The dessert tiramisu was a very interesting take, said the Italian in our group! Nonetheless it was good! Overall, the manager, ambiance, and food kept this rating higher than it should've been. Go if you have all night to wait for your table.

Went for dinner at Buddha Bar on a Friday evening and had a great experience. Lively environment though it wasn't very crowded since we were there relatively early. Very creative menu with some unique dishes. We had six dishes (Duck & Foie Gras Dumplings, Wild Mushroom Fried Rice, Skirt Steak, Duck Breast, Whole Roasted Cauliflower and Crispy Scallion Noodles) and there wasn't a miss - we liked them all! The servers were energetic and friendly and the managers took the time to stop by our table to check that everything was going well. Will definitely be back!

Too expensive for food quality, it's nothing special, you get no starter for free, service is good, ambiance is fine but still nothing special for a highly rated restaurant. Yet again the place is has small portions and I can get the same quality food from a 3 star restaurant. If you're looking to burn money come here if you want a decent meal go elsewhere.

Rating system- 1 star = trash / 5 stars = incredible Food = 4.1 (good temperature and tasty) Ambiance = 4.7 (little too dark) Service = 4.8 (I forgot my waiters name but she was so considerate and attentive and she recommended drinks based off what we preferred. Same with the food and she broke down the menu as well. Kept coming to our table frequently to make sure we were good) This place is expensive, be ready to spend a pretty penny. Perfect for a celebration. Great date place. Would recommend!

Atmosphere: 5 Drinks: 5 Food: 3.7 Came here on weekday for my friend's birthday dinner, and I must admit, the place is gorgeous! I waited at the bar until the entire party arrived, and had a great experience. The bartender was personable and made one of the top 3 espresso martinis I've ever had. For the appetizer round, we ordered some rolls, the Korean fried chicken (based on popular reviews) and the soft shell crab buns, which I did not taste. The rolls were pretty good; they all tasted fresh and were a pretty good size-- I definitely recommend the king salmon one. The Korean fried chicken was also pretty good: perfectly crunchy and not over nor under seasoned. Other items ordered: lamb chops, wild mushroom fried rice (super good and I don't even like mushrooms), and the vegetable fried rice. I'd go back for drinks and apps on a Friday!

Cool!! Came here on a recommendation from an instagram post on cool places to eat in NYC! My sister and I took a long uber to get here! Walking in was cool. It seems mysterious because its so dark and the decor is sparse, eclectic. I had just come off my #21dayreset so I was thinking sashimi would be good. They had the swanky craft cocktails. The sushi bar was very visible and you knew it was FRESH. Because it wasn't too busy, they were super attentive, almost too much so. Kind of felt bad not having more food!! It was an EXPERIENCE for sure!!

If you are looking for an upscale lounge with a fusion of Asian foods and fancy cocktails this is a good place. (I have been to the Buddabar Dubai location and honestly, it's on another level Good DJs and perfect service and interior.) My expectations were based on that, can't say I was disappointed but expected more in NYC. Our Server was so friendly and on top of everything but nobody came to refill our water glasses!?

The maitre d was not my favorite. Ambiance and food were worth the 5 stars. Our servers were lovely The toro tartare was delicious. The saltiness of the caviar with the freshness of the toro really has a balanced flavor. The tomahawk was ordered medium but seemed a bit more charred and cooked through. Still tasty with very good flavor. Had a sauce on top that I enjoyed. The Wok fried snapper had a good flavor. The sauce on it was very delicious. The fish seemed to be cubed and fried making it easier to eat

The food is excellent. The Roast Duck Breast with yuzu and ube was the star of the show for me. Crispy fatty skin on the outside and perfectly cooked so that it's tender and juicy on the inside. The Wild Mushroom Fried Rice was also surprisingly very very good! I'm not a fan of 'truffle' foods but this dish was able to change my mind that night :) This is definitely a place to show up and show out! Come hungry and get ready to splurge a bit and have an incredible evening. Whoever you bring will be impressed with not only the food but also the decor (have you ever seen a giant glass buddha before?!?), ambiance and incredible service.

I'm slightly embarrassed to admit this place was so so good. Maybe because it's definitely one of those sceney places in NYC. We actually meant to book Buddhakan and accidentally booked here. A great mistake since this was 100x better, in my opinion. Everything was so flavorful and delicious, there isn't anything we ordered that disappointed me. I only wish I could've fit more food in my stomach . Service was great, our server actually selected what we ate (all great recs). The items that I will definitely be re-ordering include the Amish chicken (served over naan with curry sauce - YUM) and the mushroom friend rice, as well as any of the sushi rolls. Ambiance-wise it feels very bougie and expensive (and, to be fair, it is expensive). Music was a little loud but they kindly lowered it when we asked. Quite dark as well, even in the bathrooms. I also want to point out the tables are huge, which I personally love.

Although we got off to a bad start, they did win me over afterwards. My reservation was at 5pm, they didnt open the doors until 5:01pm. please change this. I expect to be seated at 5pm if I agree to this time, not for you to open shop and go at your own pace. Totally irresponsible of the restaurant. The drinks were incredibly and strong, the space itself is stunning and has excellent attention to the detail. The lighting of the buddha can honestly be revised to something a little more intriguing. Overall a hefty bill and the portions are really small, but I don't eat too much so it was just right for me.

This restaurant was such a disappointment. Totally overrated. I had the skirt steak medium but it came well done. It was tough to chew and fell down terribly in my stomach. I also had the mushroom fried rice which was decent and the duck dumplings which were overcooked. The ambiance is gorg but the food doesn't match. The waitress checked up my group twice and did not have any suggestions being that she was new. I will not be returning here nor will I recommend this place to anyone i know. If I could give zero stars, i would but this app doesn't allow that.

This restaurant checked all the right boxes for a wonderful date night. Usually you don't expect the best for a restaurant week meal, but this one sure delivered. The vibes in here are immaculate. Everything looks great. The meal was actually really really good. You had a choice of skirt steak and fried rice for the entree and sushi and crab bao buns for the appetizers. To my surprise, it was actually a lot of food. I was completely full afterwards. We also had two desserts coming our way. One was made to look like an orange. It had a tough exterior and was creamy inside. The other dessert was filled with chocolate with a chocolate drizzle on top. They were both excellent! The service was great as well. I would definitely come back and try the other items on the menu!

This place has been on my list for a few years. And now I can't believe I've waited so long to try it. I was thinking it was one of those overhyped nyc spots, but no. The ambiance, the service, the cocktails, the FOOD. All I know is I'll be dreaming about those soft shell crab bao buns for a while. And that mandarin? Blew my mind. Truly one of the most innovative and artistic dishes I've seen recently. We both got the French Polynesian cocktails and did 2 rounds of those. I love anything passion fruit flavored and this exceeded any and all expectations I had. Already planning on coming back soon. DELICIOUS!

Ambience and music were very nice but food was very mediocre and over priced. The food tastes like anything but Asian fusion and drinks were not good there. Don't waste your money by going here for dinner.

Spectacular fine dining! I came here on valentine's day and it was super busy, we had the valentine's day menu that came with three appetizers; three entrees; dessert; two alcoholic beverages of ur choice. The ambience and atmosphere was absolutely beautiful with the buddha statue. The food was extraordinary and very flavorful. I absolutely loved the soft shell crab bao. Overall the atmosphere made the dining experience much more enjoyable. I would definitely come back to try the regular menu options!

This location is honestly so gorgeous , the food is ON POINT and is just a great place to sit and enjoy a delicious meal so this hurts to give it a 3 star review however with the price you are spending for a dining experience I feel the whole experience needs to be met to give it a 5 star and unfortunately Buddha bars waiters need to absolutely improve and go through re training or just basic queues to pick up on .... The waiters I had were very bland and non chalant attitude I wish I took Note of their names but I was trying to have a fabulous time not get hung up on details but they had a very non chalant attitude almost like they are annoyed to even be there and work And at the end of my experience that's really All I could not get over let's start ! they kept rushing us to order when we were taking a decent time To read everything and really know what we wanted we just needed 5 Minutes from the moment we sat down and needed to read the menu and I never felt so rushed in my Life to make a choice with such a big menu to choose from ....in under 5 MINUTES Once we ordered the waiting staff couldn't wait to take the plate away from you or have a bus boy run and snatch your plate from right under you , I was not even done with some of My food and constantly had to remind or tell them to stop grabbing the food away from under me when I clearly was not finished , I was enjoying the ambiance and vibe and the food that I was eating at a good pace not extremely slow but enough to take it all in and have the full Experience ... It was annoying and noted that it did not make me feel Comfortable and no one likes to be rushed or to hurry up and order this isn't McDonald's don't rush me .... The location is honestly so nice , the music is a vibe and everyone can enjoy it ! The lighting is wonderful and soft very good for pictures and selfies, the layout is beautiful and makes you feel very chic to be here ! The bathroom is beautiful I am a sucker for a pretty bathroom in restaurants lol very clean , the Hostesses and coat check ladies are very polite and a friendly face to see when walking in as well as the cleaning staff stayed out of the way but did their job and always had a welcoming smile and there's a girl who opens the door for you when entering the bathroom who was also very polite and had a warm smile every-time you looked her direction The food we ate was excellent We tried the Korean fried chicken , and the sauces it came with absolutely delicious and served with a a serving of gochujang & a serving of green chilli sauce on the side both excellent and pair well with the fried chicken For a small plate My husband and I also shared a robust plate which was the Wagyu skirt steak honestly one of the best skirt steaks I have ever tasted , presentation and flavor is 10/10 If you are up to try new flavors and enjoy food from the heart you will beyond appreciate this steak we ordered it medium rare and it was topped with a pistachio cilantro pesto !!! It was honestly so amazing and every bite melted in your mouth .... We also shared the seasonal vegetable fried rice it was truly packed with flavor and tasted so fresh every bite was honestly so good the rice had pineapple ,baby corn , and Shishito and every ingredient compliment the rice so well and did not disappoint ! We ordered two cocktails ! The descriptions of the cocktails is what honestly made me go hmm and I need to try this ! My husband had the serenity Which was a Belvedere vodka a lychee purée ,lemon and matcha ! Excellent my husband couldn't get a enough Im not big on matcha but still tried a sip I ordered the French Polynesia ! Which was a vodka , Chinola liquor (passion fruit), pineapple juice and SALTED COCONUT FOAM ! Which was mind blowing so delicious !!! We ended our night with a coconut cheese cake we regretted not ordering one each but we were so full from all the delicious meals we shared but once we had a bite of this delicious desert served w a coconut sorbet we could have pushed for a second but it was wow ! We could not stop reliving the first bite rent free in our heads lol Food is hands down very good and worth every $ ! After having my Own experience of how rushed I felt I know everyone who had told me similar experiences were not over exaggerating but we all had the same head space food is great but the service needs to improve with the waiters for sure !

Dined in on a Tuesday with a friend, of course with reservations. Checked our coats and proceeded to our table. I do have to say, this place is huge! I love the humongous Buddha statue on the main dining level. The food was good, my fave was the king crab Naruto rolls! Pricey at $43 but delicious. We ordered a bottle of white wine, duck dumplings, vegetable fried rice, Korean fried chicken and the king crab roll. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed every bite! The staff in my opinion could have been friendlier. They seemed kinda rude and I feel like it took our server some time to warm up to us. Overall the vibe of the place is nice.

Came here for a large group dinner to celebrate Women's Day and the staff made sure we felt like the most important people in the room the whole night. The cocktails are inventive and delicious and leave an impression. The food is consistently mind blowing. I love their robata grill items which gives everything this otherworldly char and depth of flavor.

Upon arriving, We were seated promptly which was nice. We had a sweet server but it did seem like it was her first day working. We ordered our first round of drinks and the waitress was bringing over a cocktail and spilled it all over my leg and purse and did not even comp that drink! Posted bill. In the hospitality industry, a customer centric business, this is not ideal. Nonetheless the drink was delicious so I ordered another. We started with the A5 Wagyu on crispy rice which were melt in your mouth delicious and the dumplings although I do not condone foie gras whatsoever (look up how it's made and you won't either. ) Anyways -~ The service really let me down ultimately. Our waitress forgot our order 3 times and had to come back every time to ask what we got. One person at the table was drinking sparkling water and they constantly kept giving us all sparkling, mixing us up, and we had to correct it multiple times. Sushi was decent. Too much rice and too large of rolls. How do they expect you to fit a sushi the size of your fist into your mouth (I know). The blue crab noodles were good if you like seafood pasta. The best noodles were the sweet crispy scallion noodles, a must order side dish. The mushroom bao buns were good but the soft shell crab bao buns were even better! Octopus was chewy and fatty, we've had better. The dessert was beautifully presented, very citrusy. The food is good, price point is fair for what they are going for. Servings are large but the wait staff need more training. 2/5 for food and ambiance. Improve: customer service, wait training

We came here after dinner to have a chill night drinking instead of clubbing. Good choice especially since it was raining outside. Tried apple martini for the first time! Stem of the glass was sticky, but all in all a good drink. More sour than sweet. Also got a lychee martini after to keep the martini streak going.

Came here for Restaurant week Winter 2023. The options were good because most of the things on there are part of the regular menu, so that is a plus. Service - Average Location - It is beautiful inside and very spacious. I was impressed with how great it looked. Not a loud restaurant. We found parking a block away with no issues. Food - 7/10 Portions were good. I left with my belly full. They are great at making fried rice, especially the wild mushroom one. It was delicious. Order it! The soft shell crab buns were great. Ask for some Sriracha to give it a little kick. I would come back for those. I was not a fan of the wagyu skirt steak. I wasn't impressed with the flavor.I would not order it again. The swordfish was okay and well prepared, but needed a bit more flavor. As for dessert, definitely get the coconut cheesecake or Mandarin. They were both delicious. Price- Even though I came for Restaurant Week, looking at the regular menu, a good number of the dishes are overpriced. But they don't skim on the portions, so you won't leave hungry.

We went for restaurant week, I think it was a good pre-fixe menu since it's a family style restaurant. Our server was the bestttt ugh I wish I remembered his name. I ordered the margarita negroni and he was nice enough to change it when I didn't like it and switched for a cosmo. The waygu steak came with a little bit of rice and it was about 4oz, super small serving. The king salmon roll was sooooo fresh, I would actually go back just for that. We also had the king crab bao buns and those were good too but eh, don't think I'd order them again. The dessert was a no go, I could barely eat it because it just wasn't my style. Overall good, wouldn't go back on a regular night though.

Came here on a Sunday night my table wasn't ready when We arrived that was ok sat at the bar had a couple of drinks The Lychee Martini was really good When we sat at the table, our waitress came fairly quickly got our drink orders in. Then waited to place our food order. You have to order food and appetizer at the same time. Not a fan of that! Besides that EVERYTHING WAS GREAT!!

As beautiful as this place was, the food left more to be desired. We sampled a bit of everything but nothing left us wow'd. For an Asian fusion restaurant, I expected the flavors to stand out. The lamb shank was my least favorite. It was gamy and tasted more Mediterranean. For the price you pay the food is just ok.

This was my first time here and it was such a great experience. The bar area was very nice and the bartender was very attentive. Our table was ready and then we went downstairs to dine. I was a little thrown off with the fact that we had to place our entire order at the beginning. So, drinks, appetizers and main course had to all be placed once the waiter took our order. Based on my service and the food I was able to over look the issue of placing my entire order after viewing the menu for the first time. The fried chicken and vegetables fried rice was really good. The ambience was so beautiful, perfect location for a birthday dinner.

Service was not as proficient as I would think, Was sort of a long wait just to get the menu. The food was decent but you're definitely paying for the location and aesthetic . I like the idea and interior but I was quite disappointed

Going to Buddha Bar was by far the worst dining experience i've had in a while. I booked a 10:30pm reservation for 2 on valentine's day and upon my arrival there was the longest line to approach the host. Come to find out they were extremely behind in seating guest. I did not get seated until 11:15!! Finally we sit and it takes our server 30 minutes to approach us and that was JUST to hand us menus. When we received our menus to my greatest surprise there was a prefix menu set for the night!!! Every restaurant I looked at before booking Buddha notified people and advertised their prefix menu however, buddha did nothing of the sort and so naturally I did not expect one. I most certainly did not want one. That felt very bait and catchy to me, manipulative even because could I leave? yes but it was almost midnight on valentine's day. We had zero luck of getting seated anywhere else so we had to endure if we truly wanted the night to go on. With that being I glanced at the menu and at first glance it seemed like something I could work with. Boy was I wrong. 1 half full glass of champagne, 2 appetizers, 2 sides, 1 entree and 1 dessert for $150pp????!!! And don't be mistaken, that wasn't what each of us got served that was split between us! To make matters worst the only thing that tasted good and of quality was the lobster me and my guest split. Everything else was portioned small, bland and underwhelming. Everything about this place looks good, down to the decor but in actuality its a terrible restaurant. A scam. I spent way more in here than they deserved and as readied to leave, I decided I would take pictures in front of the buddha. I mean after such a terrible dinner, a good picture was the LEAST I could get. As I begin taking pictures do you know they had the audacity to turn off the light in the area I was in because the restaurant was now closed and they wanted to rush me out?! I think that truly speaks to the epitome of this place. Trash and I will never step foot in this place again and I encourage anyone else to follow suit.

They almost got it right. The vibes, ambiance, service is there 100%. Even the lychee martinis were probably some of the best I've ever had. The food however was a hit or miss. My friend and I went on a whim on a Monday night - as you would expect during a pandemic not fully packed but still a decent amount of people. Given that, we were seated promptly and had the server's full attention. The menu had quite an array of very different and unique items. We decided to give 5 dishes a try. We started out with the naruto roll. I really wish they had prefaced that it didn't come with rice although it did taste good it was not filling at all. Next up we got the duck dumplings. Also a miss for us. We expected the texture to be more juicy, however it tasted like refried beans to us and was quite dry. I'm glad those were served first, because the rest of the items were excellent. Following that, we tried the crab bao buns...exceptional to say the least. The mushroom fried rice and lobster tempura roll were our favorites. Would go back for these 3 dishes alone. Regardless, I'm happy we got to try a few things out and see what Buddha Bar was all about. To finish off, we of course had to get the mandarin dessert which was unlike anything we've had before. Tangy, creamy and sweet. Truly an experience and quite nice to look at and open. It essentially was a chocolate shell with creme layering and some sort of orange filling. If you haven't been here yet, I highly recommend going! If you're unsure about specifics for each item on the menu, definitely ask the waiters before you order.
