Google
amazing delicious food and super friendly service, very clean floors also. management very helpful and understanding. highly recommend. 11/28 noon ate here again, excellent burger again however to my surprise, this cashier had zero personality, would just stare at you waiting for you to order while never saying a word, drop off your food and not check back to make sure everything was ok, never removed the number sign off table, service was a disappointment but food was great, i think she is a robot

Google
It's fantastic Vegan I thought. Buddha fries were fantastic as was the Banh Mi burger. The teas and lemonades were really well made as well. Definitely heading back here. Check the pix.

Google
Hands down one of the better vegan burger joints I've been to. Service was excellent, food was great and the price wasnt as bad as some other vegan places. The service went above and beyond as they had a problem with the juicer but still was able to get me a lemonade concoction that tasted amazing.

Google
We ordered Zen burger and lions mane mushroom burger. The bread was stale, at least 2 days old. The lions mane burger had 0 flavor and only tasted salty. The Zen burger was just a tiny bit better and French fries were soggy. The corn ribs were good. We went to Chipotle after eating a $20 burger which is insane.

Kip B.

Google
I had the always amazing Carne Asada Bowl that incorporates the Better Meat Company offering! My 3 nonvegan friends were all very impressed with their lunches and expect to go back again!

Julie R.

Google
Solid menu with a great variety of options. I got the smoked tofu bowl which was not only delish, but fun to watch unveiled. Tasty drinks, nice service.

Google
I was wowed by the flavors and and savored each bite of the many things I ordered. We ordered charred broccoli, corn ribs, country fried steak burger, spaghetti bolognese and Lion’s mane nuggets. The flavor profile of each dish did not miss, and my very carnivorous friend was shocked to enjoy a meal at a plant based restaurant. Don’t pass this place up.

Google
I’m a meat eater and went out with two of my friends who are not. It was nice to see them light up for having more than just a couple items like they typically do from most restaurants. The food was all tasty, they enjoyed their burgers and I enjoyed my pasta. Totally recommend to those who want to fill up and feel good after.

Yelp
Saturday 11-3 kids get to paint and play with blocks while mom and dad enjoy their meal. We forgot to take photos of the food but it was delicious. We will be back! - lions burger - American classic - fries - mango black tea (this had lychee and chia seeds)

Yelp
I liked this place a lot. I am definitely an omnivore, so this is high praise coming from me. I came in with my family - one had a gluten allergy and the other is vegetarian also with some food allergies, so this seemed like a great spot to try out. The smoked BBQ tofu salad is definitely a showstopper. That thing was crazy to look at when they pull it out. My nieces liked their salad bowls. I enjoyed my carne asada burger, but it wasn't very spicy. The bun was pretty nice though. The fries were really good! I really liked the living wall they have at the restaurant, but I think it's looking a little sad on account that it's winter time.

Yelp
Super casual, clean, vegan spot. We had the carne asada burger that was flavorful. The lions mane Nuggets that were flavorful but mushy inside. Tomato basil soba noodle bowl that had a good mix of fresh vegetables and a blast of flavor. We drove 45 mins to check this place out and we were happy with the food and ambience. However, staff could have been more attentive when we walked in and were reviewing the menu. They did not acknowledge us until we appear to be ready to order.

Yelp
Good: yummmmmmm definitely give this a try if you're a vegetarian/vegan! Great options for us! Variety. Great spot for lunch/dinner Service: stood in line to order, placed my order and the cashier was helpful in choosing food items. Friendly with smiling face! Ambiance: chill vibes!

Yelp
Really good vegan burger spot! My friend in the area recommended we try this place for dinner. Minimalist interior with elements of metal chairs, wooden tables and green foliage accents. The staff who took our order was nice and helped us decide on what to get. We started with their crafted bubbles: Passion Fruit with chia seeds and Salted Lemon Plum with mint ($7 each). They're served in large glasses and had to take some to-go. I didn't try the salted lemon plum, but I really liked the passion fruit with chia seeds. It wasn't too sweet and the passion fruit was fresh. The Banh Mi Burger ($17.5) was bomb! The vegan beef patty was hearty and could pass for a beef patty. The fresh cilantro, jalapeños, pickled carrots and cucumber added a nice crunch and kick. I hadn't had tempura green beans in a while and these were a nice change from the usual fries. I forget how much they cost, but they gave a generous amount, enough for a few people to share. They were seasoned perfectly, lightly fried and not too greasy. My friend got a curry noodle bowl and she didn't seem super jazzed about it. I think their burgers are the way to go here!

Yelp
First time going, first time loving a a vegan menu! The food is soooo good, love their corn ribs! Service was quick and efficient, such a friendly staff. Andy, the owner, he's so great! The interior is so fall-core, very toasty inside and I love how minimal it is. Almost all seatings are next to a huge window, view of city life while enjoying a meal. Bathrooms are squeaky clean, tables were spotless. Definitely will be coming back!

Yelp
Super friendly service. Really appreciated we could bring the dogs in on this super hot day. The restaurant was clean and cool. Wanted to love the food, but it was middle of the road for us. Banh Mi Burger had raw topping and not very flavorful. The bolognese had a lack of depth of flavor. No umami. Very raw tomato tasting. The charred broccoli was mostly raw with that fake liquid smoke taste. Fries good hard to not be good. The Maha Mushrooms another deep fried item so they were crispy and good. The corn ribs were fibrous, dry, tough, no real flavor, hugely disappointing. The Village of Om around the corner was excellent. Not sure we'd come back here.

Yelp
Vegan restaurant here in town and the food is fantastic! It's full of unique dishes with fresh and healthy ingredients! We love the okra and mushroom tempura with its perfectly light transparent batter for the crunch with the chewiness of the ouster mushroom and fibrous okra inside. Lions mane nuggets was also well battered and full of crunch and the sauce very tasty. While it doesn't have the firmness of traditional nuggets, the lions mane is healthy and tasty. I am a sucker for anything with oyster mushrooms so I ordered the tomato basil soba noodle dish. The kids and I love the freshness and I personally like to add a little be more salt and flavor to mine. Sunshine bowl has very healthy ingredients and good texture but also needed more flavor for my Indian wife who craves strong flavors. The hand crafted passion fruit with chia seeds is the chill we needed to cool down on a hot summer day! As a BONUS! We happened upon their first ever kids painting event possibly happening on Saturdays and Tuesdays in the future. The kids had so much fun getting to color on their personal easel to take home. It also gave us parents time to relax. I even got to writeem this review without interruption! Owner mentioned entertaining other arts and craft ideas and we love it!
google avatar

Indo S.

Yelp
Took my kids for the first time here lunch. We got the All American Burger, Carne Asasa Burger and Baby buddha burgers. All were fantastic. Staff was friendly and we were able to get a seat quickly. Dining area is spacious and clean. Overall was the one of the best vegan burgers we've had in Sac.

Yelp
I feel like I'm middle of the road for Buddha, partially because I got a salad and my husband's burger was much better. Ha! They are vegan which is nice (we're trying to limit how much meat we eat). Their fries were awesome and as I mentioned, I highly recommend the burger over the salad (based on the bite I had). They are pricey, but all the ingredients felt fresh. I'll be back for a burger!

Yelp
WHY WE WENT HERE: - dinner THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located on the corner of S St and 19th St - street parking available and walk over THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - industrial modern - order at the register, obtain a number, seat yourself, and your order is brought to you when it's ready THE MENU: - avocado toast - small bites - buddha bowls & salads - today's specials - burgers - soups - lemonade - crafted juice - plant shake - fresh pressed juice - hand crafted bubbles - coffee & hot tea WHAT WE ORDERED: - Buddha Fries - Charred Broccoli - Carne Asada Burger - Corn Ribs - Maha Mushrooms - Okra - Spaghetti Bolognese THE TASTE: - favorites for sure were the Maha Mushrooms, Charred Broccoli, and Okra - Carne Asada Burgers were misleading in the sense that it wasn't Carne Asada, but a regular patty - Spaghetti was great, I personally love when my pasta is saucy and the ingredients aren't overpowered or outnumbered by the pasta itself - Buddha fries were good with the sauce - corn ribs were refreshing CUSTOMER SERVICE: - cashier was very mellow and welcoming

Yelp
First time at this establishment, and I must say I enjoyed the experience. The music playing, suggestions from the staff Alex. He was so kind and helpful. Go Alex , absolutely the best! The food was delicious oh my. I had spicy garlic edamame,Zen burger, blueberry lemon drink, budda fries, my friend had another burger. I'm still in awe of the taste, it was so delicious. I'm definitely coming back to this place whenever in town.

Yelp
Preparing my fellow foodies a wonderful food experience is what I am for and expect nothing less from others review as well. Let me say that parking already is bad due to it being located on the busy corner of S and 19th next to the well known location of Massage Envy. Customer service is 5/5 patiently taking orders without making customers feel rushed Ambiance is 5/5 is so relaxing with the music playing softly in the background so you don't all have to converse by yelling at one another Food is 5/5 Bathroom 5/5 2 stalls, smells amazing and very roomy
google avatar

Jacinda C.

Yelp
5/5 for service, food quality, and menu options. 2/5 for price, as it is now becoming way overpriced. I've come here many times as I love the food, ambience, and multiple menu options. My absolute favorite items to order are the maha mushrooms with the sauce and golden milk latte. The flavors are impeccable, but I have been disappointed with the increase in price lately. When I purchased both, the total to go price came out to be $24, and I was told it was because the owner is trying to open other restaurants. Considering it was an appetizer and drink for the cost, it may prevent be from coming back as often in the future.
google avatar

Yelp
Really yummy food! I don't think I'd think twice about the burger being vegetarian. The corn ribs were also super fun and unique! Well seasoned I'd say. The Buddha fries were delicious, I do wish there was more sauce on them though to cover all the fries and layers :) i ordered through DoorDash but would love to go in person soon :)

Yelp
Came in before by myself and was really impressed with the menu so I brought the pickiest eaters I know, my wife and daughter. Restaurant was clean, staff were very friendly and were happy to explain the menu. Got a Lions Mane Burger (second time, it's really good) texture is nice and bite is good but it shined with flavor in every bite. Wife got the Banh Mi Burger and got it lettuce wrapped, she never gave me a bite and was talking about going back as soon as we left. I was really surprised my kid liked the nuggets as much as she did but while we were waiting she looked over the menu a bit more and said she'd go for the noodle bowls next time, so she's already planning on coming back also. Kid is big on texture but drunk the lemonade with the chia seeds in it to my surprise as well. Beet Bliss drink was just okay and a bit small for $10 but it was very refreshing. All in all, we had a nice vegetarian dinner as a family and I'm shocked at how well it went. Definitely coming back soon to try some other stuff.

Yelp
This is my third time here ordering the Carne Asada Bowl with the Better Meat Company mycelium, and it's always been excellent! Unfortunately, the tasty Bleu cheese mycelium burger is currently sold out. This place was a hit for both of my teenage kids, too!
google avatar

Yelp
I only like vegan restuarants that actually showcase the veggies rather than trying to make everything good with masking their raw flavors by deep frying them or smothering them in wannabe meat flavors. Let the veggies shine man! Maha Mushrooms 5/5* WOW. Just wow. The delicate outer crust skillfully displayed what a tempura fry should be..super light yet so crisp. The mushrooms were huge and so juicy inside, dusted with a perfect balance of salt. I would come back just for this dish alone. These feed my crispy addiction like fries, but 10x elevated. Vietnamese Coffee 3/5* The coffee itself isn't as strong as your typical Vietnamese coffee, but what really made this drink uniquely delicious is the in-house made coconut cream. Such thick, fluffy, and creamy goodness. Definitely coconut milkstache worthy. Banh Mi Burger 3/5* It was a little dry and could've used more aoili or something. The patty itself, though, was juicy and the texture was spot on, I had to second guessed whether it was really vegan or not. The patty isn't your typical veggie patty with the crunch of nuts or quinoa, but it was soft and pliable. It was lacking some flavor and was overpowered by the pickled veggies. The pretzel bun was soft, but I would've preferred a bit more toasty-ness to the top. Corn Ribs 5/5* Nice thick strips of corn strips. Roasted, smoky, and held its shape when you dipped it in sauce. Plump kernels sprinkled with parmesan, and hit with smoky paprika and tangy lemon juice. The corn ribs were so flavorful and satisfying. The small plates were so delicious and expertly crafted, I can't wait to try the other dishes. I'd sell my soul for those Maha Mushrooms though. It's been a few weeks since I last had them, and I've thought about them every week. Sac needs more vegan places like this.

Yelp
Omggg the food is amazing. Great customer services. The Lion Mane burger was a little spicy but hella amazing!!!!! A must try My friend tried the zen burger and she give it a 10++++. Totally would recommend this place and trust I will be back
google avatar

Yelp
I could eat the burgers, fries, and vegan shakes all the time, sweet staff, outdoor seating, all good!
google avatar

Toni C.

Yelp
The service was great. I almost fainted when I saw the total $ for 4 burgers!!! Way too expensive for moderate sized burgers, no sides. The mushroom burger was not edible, the mushrooms were so tough I couldn't bite into them. They were very nice to replace it with another option, but again, small serving size. Nice location, but not so tasty and the price was way out of line.
google avatar

Theresa S.

Yelp
The Buddha fries were on point and the corn ribs were tasty. I got the soba noodle salad. As someone who eats soba, the soba was old and cold, either cooked way earlier in the day or the day before. However, the flavors of the dressing were on point. It was a bit pricey for less than 1 cup of soba noodles and the rest of it was cabbage and about six slices of mushrooms. It could had been made a little better for 18.00+. The quality could be better for a very low maintenance dish. I wouldn't mind trying it again, but it was a miss for me.
google avatar

Yelp
A hip vegan lunch place! Love the decor inside. They are a pay first at cashier and find your seat after (is there a name for this resturant concept?). The waiters bring the dishes out to the table- which was prompt and quick. One thing was that we noticed the portion sizes were big. The carne asada bowl probably could feed 2. The buddha fries were hand down the best, their sauce was delicious. The corn ribs would have actually been more elevated if it actually had some of that sauced drizzled on them. But it might make the taste profile too similar. The country fried steak (CFS) burger was amazing. Texture was was surprisingly good...one thing with normal CFS is that I find the meat kind of tough. But the patty in this was perfect and worked well as a burger. Would definitely but back to try some of the drinks that look so yummy.
google avatar

Yelp
We got the carne asada burger and the bbq bacon cheddar burger with an avocado milkshake. The BBQ bacon cheddar was 9/10 -crunchy, yummy, delicious Carne asada was a 3/10 -spicy, bland, overall lacking Fries and broccoli are equally worth ordering The avocado shake was unique but also kinda bland.

Yelp
Alright alright. Rarely do I give a 5 star rating (everything in life is circumstantial). Price: "it be like that" Portion Size: Pretty good Freshness of ingredients: Dope Came in on Friday evening around 5:30p. Parking is weird but doable (street parking exists). Greeted on entry. Staff were pleasant, helpful, chill vibes. Self seating, order in the front, water/glasses provided when you pay for your order. Food Country Fried Burger (previously ordered) 4.9/5: - Very Very tasty, highly recommended. BBQ Bacon Burger (ordered on this visit): 4.8/5: - Also very tasty. The "fakon" tastes like bacon bits, not the salad topping, but actual bacon bits (if they were a bit burnt). Highly recommended. - the pretzel burn tasted like a potato bun masquerading as a pretzel bun. Do with that what you will. - Naked fries were fries. A bit of dusting of sweetness, which my friend pointed out. - He ordered his burger with salad. Looked nice, fresh, and plentiful. Modern-ish, dim-ish, chill vibe for the decor. Outdoor seating available. I would return for sure. I would encourage giving them a try.

Yelp
Really nice inside, first encounter with the girl working tonight was really nice but the guy she switched with doesn't smile and comes off as bothered when asking requests. Food was just ok wasn't too warm. I liked the fries better than the burger the chili cheese burger was better than the cheese burger. Would maybe try one of their salads next time but would bring my own drink as they don't offer soda which pairs well for a place w burgers.

N L.

Yelp
Food here is amazing. The selection of vegan offerings is outstanding and the chocolate cake is one of the best things I've ever tasted. The only negative experience is the inconsistency of their hours. Their website says they are open Saturdays until midnight, Google says 10pm, their door says 9pm or 10pm, and even though their open sign was on after 10pm when we entered and asked the employee behind the counter they said they'd close at 10:30pm which is not listed anywhere. I've tried calling to speak with management or the owners directly to share this feedback, but their phone number on their website is disconnected. I really don't want this place to close and I know this is sort of thing will lead to a place getting less business. I hope they can realign their online presence and staff on their hours of operation as I would definitely be more inclined to make the drive to eat there, if I know that they will in fact be open, and im sure others would too.
google avatar

Rachel K.

Yelp
For me the sign of a good vegan restaurant is when the food is delicious without trying to pretend to be meat. Buddha Belly Burger does that really well. They have a lot of mushroom options as well as vegan patty options with fresh ingredients and delicious buns for the sandwiches. The location is bright and welcoming and there are plenty of tables to dine in. You order at the counter and then they bring you your food to your table. I went with some coworkers and we ordered the corn ribs ($9) and I ordered the Zen Burger (18.75). The Zen Burger they recommend for dine in and I could see why. It definitely was a handful, but very tasty. I'm excited to explore more of the menu in the future. There is street parking for this location, but I found a spot pretty easily.
google avatar

Brian G.

Yelp
I'm not vegan but if you enjoy plant based food that feels very fresh and healthy, this may be the spot for you. I wanted to try the lions mane burger but they ran out, so I ended up getting the lions mane chickpea burger instead. The patty was seasoned well and the burger was well constructed. Nice soft bun and piled high with veggies. The fries are okay, I typically prefer skinnier fries for more crispiness. This is a cafe style restaurant so you order at the counter and they bring it out to you.
google avatar

Alex T.

Yelp
Omg the plant based burger...and not the beyond stuff, which is a plus! . I got the country fried steak burger with your choice of fries or side salad. I got the side salad. The salad was fresh and your spring mix with tomatoes and cucumbers with red onions too. Love the aioli sauce or salad dressing for the salad. It was tasty. . Country fried steak, the texture is like a country fried steak. It's vegan which is awesome. The seasoning was great. The burger itself was delicious and quality. The price point was 15 to 17.5 which isn't too bad. . Overall the space was open and I like it. The food was really tasty. I loved the experience. We got to bring our dogs inside when outside was hot. It was a fun lunch and pet day with a friend. Thanks for residing and have a yelptastic day.

Yelp
Vegan food might seem intimidating for some, but this place definitely did not disappoint. It'll have even your meat-eating friend begging for more. All of the food is absolutely amazing. Everything from the burgers to the fries, were phenomenal. A lot of great drink options as well.

Yelp
I'm not a vegan person but I'm open to vegan food & this place ‍ They have a unique spin on burgers to refreshers to desserts that calling "vegan food" bland would be an understatement here! This is my second time being here and the portions are huge. You definitely get the most out of what you pay for & I'm all for it. My tea was refreshing & I wish it had a little more sweeter or kiwi bits to liven it up some but it was good. The Tempura Fried Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake on the other hand was . It's a chill, chic, and refreshing place to have a some good food and conversation with the friends or family. The service was accommodating and nice. (9.5/10)
google avatar

Rachelle R.

Yelp
This was our last stop for our weekend in Sacramento and it did not disappoint! This atmosphere is open and there is a beautiful plant wall display. The staff helped explain the menu when we were sure what to get. Our food came out quickly and it was a beautiful presentation. We got the Buddha fries which has this delicious creamy sauce and vegan Parmesan cheese on them. Even when I felt full I kept eating because of the dimensional flavors the fries had. The fries are an appetizer but the portion is huge and could definitely be a full meal! We also got the spicy edamame! I love edamame and these had that umami flavor. I love savory food and comfort food and this hit the spot! I would love to go back for a full meal when I'm in town. I highly recommend to any vegan to come here!
google avatar

Joey S.

Yelp
Buddha Belly Burger is the perfect spot for our family (a mix of vegetarians and flexitarians, who all want delicious food!). We can all find something to eat that is satiating (that is harder to do sometimes when you are getting rid of the meat in meals). I appreciate their drink menu, too! The prices are a little steep, but you're getting what you pay for - high-quality, fresh ingredients.

Yelp
First time trying plant based/vegan restaurant, the mushrooms were so crispy and delicious even had left overs and they stayed crispy. The sauce was also really good. The salad was okay I did change the buddha salad to have the riza meat and because I still eat meat that the taste of the riza meat felt a little weird it has a sweet undertone and I don't think it went with the salad dressing, maybe if I kept the original way they make it. Other than that I would definitely come back to try their other stuff or come back for the mushroom
google avatar

Yelp
First time to this place. Parking was either on the street or in the parking lot across the street. Walked in and place looked so inviting. We got there at 11:30 so not too many people yet for lunch. All I saw was burger because I am that kind of gal. It was a vegan place. Who would have thought? Food was amazing. We had some appetizers and 2 different salads. The pictures do not do justice to the flavors. All was fresh and so tasty. We had the corn ribs, charred broccoli and maha mushrooms for appetizers. They were all flavorful of freshness. The big surprise was the broccoli and mushrooms. AMAZING. I will order all again. The 2 salads were the soba noodles and house salad. It was so good. The dressing was so flavorful for the soba noodles. We will definitely be back to try the burgers.

Sonia E.

Yelp
The food is always delicious and service is nice! They fries used to be included in the meal, but last time I went they were extra.

Yelp
My family and I visited Buddha Belly Burger this past weekend and we were so happy with our experience here. Parking can be a little tricky- I did not see a private parking lot, so we parked on the street after slowly driving around a bit. It was lunch hour so the parking was a little hard to find at first. For small plates, my family and I ordered the charred broccoli and the maha mushrroms (Tempura Blue Oyster Mushrooms with Sriracha Mayo) as our appetizers. They were very delicious! I loved the seasoning of the charred broccoli and the maha mushrooms were perfectly (even the dipping sauces). For my main dish, I ordered the Smoke BBQ Tofu salad (dressing on the side). WOW - it was HUGE. The serving size was big and I had to take some home because I couldn't finish it. The Smoked BBQ Tofu Salad included Tofu, Bacon Bits, Avocado, Shiitake Mushrooms, House Greens, Micro-Greens, Broccoli, Carrots, Onions, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Apples, Almonds and sprinkled Parm, with Ranch Dressing. We also ordered the Soba Noodle Salad (Shiitake Mushrooms, Micro-Greens Red Onions, Carrots, Green Onions, Cabbage, Wedged Lemon, Avocado, Ginger Sesame Soy Dressing). The kids loved it - they shared this and it was more than enough! My husband ordered the Grilled Shaken Stake Buddha Bowl (Soy-Garlic Rhiza Steak, Quinoa, Micro-Greens, Onions, Bell Pepper, Avocado w/ Lemon Pepper Dipping Sauce). He mentioned how flavorful the soy-garlic rhiza steak was and how impressed he was with the consistency. The place is very fast casual - think order at the counter and find a table. The food does come out quickly and there is ample seating (big and small tables). Wonderful atmosphere! I can't wait to come back here again!

Yelp
Good food, but may be trending downward. We've eaten here or gotten takeout 7-8 times. Consistently have loved the country fried vegan steak burger (or Contury Fried Stake Burger, as it's called on the online order form). But quality isn't as good as it used to be. They now use a regular supermarket bun instead of the beautiful pretzel buns they used to serve . Kind of stuff, tasteless and boring. A $22 burger needs to dress a little better. The fries were dry and stiff. Going to wait a couple of months before trying again. Maybe they'll fix the issues instead of letting a good thing fade away.

Yelp
Did not realize this is a plant-based restaurant when friend made suggestions for dinner, and it turned out to be a good choice. So many items caught my attention, but I decided to go with the special - grilled shaken beef buddha bowl and the black mango ice tea. Forgot to take pictures of other items ordered as everything looked very appetizing, and we just dove in when the food arrived. Those maha mushrooms and gyoza were probably my favorite items. I'd order those again, most definitely. The corn ribs had that grilled bbq flavor - also good. Friend let me try the broccoli cheddar soup she ordered - so flavorful. The drinks all came in huge glasses and presented beautifully - the ice tea was refreshing. The buddha bowl was huge - lots of veggies, some quinoa, and "grilled beef" - flavorful and quite filling. Friends noted they enjoyed their dishes as well - the banh mi, carne asada bowl, baby burger . . . We were all full but had to try the desserts given how much we enjoyed our meals. One friend is vegan, so she really wanted to try the tiramisu. Must say - it was really good! Reminded me of the Vienetta dessert from back in the day given the texture. We all said we'd definitely return.

Yelp
This place was crazy good and surprised me so much! To be honest, I typically brace myself when going to a 'vegan' place, but the food here blew me away. The menu is robust with a ton of great options to select from. Though the food can be on the higher end of the price scale, I found that it is worth every penny. Each item that we ordered was cooked in a way that showed care in its preparation. Items were prepped beautifully on the plate and cooked with precision. What came on the plate literally looked like what it did on the menu and advertisments. We started with a couple of drinks. I had the fuji apple lemonade while my wife had the lychee mango iced tea. The iced tea had real mango and REAL LYCHEE in it. It was very clear and refreshing with a light taste. My lemonade was a little sweeter, but still quite light with a delicious hit of apple. I'd come here just for these drinks! In terms of food, the tempura mushrooms were amazing. They have a great crunch to them and the earthy mushroom taste came in strong. The corn ribs were like little pork ribs where you nibble them off the cob. Super cool eating experience! The fries were crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. There's not much I can say except the food was phenomenal. It's hard to find a place that my wife really enjoys and raves about, but Buddha Belly Burger was able to do so!

Yelp
Came here for brunch with my daughter and we walked up to the front and was able to order then got a number for our food. This is a pretty nice decorated restaurant. I was excited to try the vegan dishes. They were so pretty and the food was great. I love the unique taste and combo of the dishes. The server was helpful and it was great also.

Yelp
I wish the easy bay could it together and offer more vegan restaurants like Sacramento. This place is delicious! Highly recommend the chicken fried steak burger and the corn ribs. The Buddha salad will leave you mystified with its Smokey flavors and presentation.

Yelp
Best casual vegan restaurant in Sacramento in my opinion. Delicious food, nice seating, and friendly service. I usually get their country fried vegan burger or soba noodle salad if I don't want fried food.

Yelp
Buddha Belly Burger is a great tasting all-vegan restaurant that serves burgers, appetizers, and a variety of salads/bowls. Buddha Belly Burger is on the corner of 19th & S St. in Midtown Sacramento, where the former Raijin ramen house use to be. We came on a Saturday night and it was not crowded. You order at the counter, get a number, and the staff brings your order to the table. The atmosphere is in restaurant is calm, serene, and very dimly lit. There were so many tempting appetizers, but the corn ribs looked so tempting from the photos. We started with the corn ribs ($9.00) and they were delicious! The corn ribs are sliced cobs of grilled corn topping with paprika, lemon pepper, parmesan, and parsley. So tasty! I had the Carne Asada Burger with side of naked fries ($18.00). It came with a vegan patty, grilled onions , cilantro, pickled jalapenos, and chipotle mayo. It was really good and tasted like a regular burger. I also tried the Lion's Mane Burger ($18.75), which is one of their mushroom burgers. The patty is the lion's maine mushroom and comes with lots of toppings including pickled carrots, cilantro, and garlic mayo. It was pretty good, but since there were so many toppings, it was harder to taste the mushroom flavor (in the bite that I had). We also got the Banh Mi Burger ($18.00) with side salad. I didn't get to try it, but it looked really good and the side salad was very fresh. Overall, we had a great first experience at Buddha Belly Burger. The food tasted really good and it felt good to eat a plant based meal. Buddha Belly Burger is a huge plus for vegan dining in Sacramento.

Yelp
Thank you, Bridget W. for getting me to try Buddha Belly. I never really thought vegan food could taste so darn good. You place your order at the counter and you are given a number to place on your table and the staff will bring it to you if dining in. I ordered the Corn ribs, Soba noodle salad and Strawberry Kiwi iced tea. Everything is absolutely delicious. My friends order vegan burgers which I cannot remember the name as well as deep fried shiitake mushrooms which were absolutely delicious, but the vegan taco I have to say was my absolute favorite it was so flavorful and it almost taste just like a meat taco. I was pleasantly surprised. I must say for just eating veggies a left full and stayed that way the rest of the night lol. I will definitely be back to try other menu items. If you haven't tried Buddha Belly it's a must try! I doesn't disappoint. It was very busy for a Wednesday night at that so you know the food is poppin'.

Yelp
First time here! This location has been on my list for a while and I'm so glad I finally was able to visit. The aesthetic is so calming and with all the windows there's a lot of natural lighting. I love love looove the plant decor! You order at the front when you first walk in. The menu has lots of options; from small bites to share, burgers, salads, desserts, etc. Once you've ordered, you'll receive a number and can go find a table of your choice while you wait for your food to be brought out to your table. We ordered the All American burger, Banh burger, corn ribs, black mango iced tea and strawberry kiwi iced tea. Everything was a 10/10! The flavors were so good. This is hands down my favorite plant based restaurant and I will be back very soon to try more items on the menu! Ig -- Oohdearfoodie
