Google
They revamped the menu a little since my last visit but food is still excellent. Located in a food hall but stands out as one of the better places to grab food.

Google
Great lunch spot! Lemongrass chicken spring rolls were my favorite (a portion of meat and super flavorful). I will definitely come back here for them because they were super affordable. On the other hand, the soup didn’t really impress me and I probably wouldn’t order that again. Overall really fast and amazing customer service (I placed my order by phone and had my food 10 minutes later). Would recommend, 8.5/10!

Google
This place got me obsessed with Thai Tea. Theirs is delicious and one of my favorites! Wish they had bigger sizes. Ordered the kaprow chicken and it was bomb, to say the least. Very good portions. I was full with a little over half the plate/bowl thing. My first time trying “thai” food and I loved it. Also tried the pad Thai off my friends plate and it was very yummy and flavorful. The location is fantastic. Staff is very nice and attentive as well. But that Thai tea has really stolen my heart. Video screenshot.

Google
I absolutely adore this restaurant. So damn good! It's one of my top 3 comfort food places :)) My go-to order is either the Tom Kha Soup w/ Tofu or Stir-Fry Tofu. Both choices are very delicious and filling af. Delivery normally doesn't take too long and my order is always made with love. The actually location is in the Food Hall in DT and there's plenty of seating for eating. Hella good and I'll obviously be back once in the mood again :)) 5/5!

Google
We ordered Buddha Belly via Postmates. Flavorful Thai food. The Pad Kee Mao is one of the best. The tofu spring rolls are very fresh. Their garlic basil tater tots are to die for. Many vegetarian friendly options.

Google
Yummy. The Lemon Grass rolls had a very great taste although I didn't see any mint leaves. I think that can enhance the flavor even more. Despite that I totally recommend.

Google
Pad kaproa = damn good! And Very spicy, as it should be 🌶!

Google
Delicious food, Always good quality. I have been going here weekly for over a year. The only thing that is frustrating, is that their closing time is not accurate with what they have it listed on google, I’ve had doordash orders go through that never came in, and i showed up to the location to be denied.. 30 minutes before listed closing time.

Yelp
This place executes every time! Only eaten here in person once, as it is a food hall experience. But ordering for delivery? They DELIVER (pun intended). If you want some delicious Asian fusion that is greasy...they can do that. If you want some delicious Asian fusion that is fresh....they can do that. A versatile menu that appeases the entire group's appetite and nobody is disappointed. I have never had a bad dish from this restaurant, so order without impunity.

Yelp
Buddha belly is one of the stalls I found while walking through the corporation food hall. I ordered the lemongrass chicken rice bowl, at first I was a bit put off by the price ($15) but, I understood once the food came. They have very healthy portions, their staff are really hooking up their food. The chicken was juicy and aromatic with a side of tender rice, a little salad, cucumbers, and pickled onions. This is approachable food in a fast casual environment. Also make sure to try the lychee lemonade, it's so good!

Grace N.

Yelp
This place is STILL OPEN! They are operating inside Corporation Food Hall across from the Jamaican place! Not sure why Yelp place for this said it's closed! There plenty of seats and their food is pretty yummy and healthy! Probably one of the healthiest options at Corp Food Hall if you're looking for more protein and veggies! They accept credit card and are pretty fast with service! Check them out!

Yelp
Cool little spot in downtown , I usually go to a place in Pasadena but didn't feel like divining far and was craving spring rolls so I found Buddha belly and gave it a try , it did satisfy my cravings definitely will be going back.

Kay Y.

Yelp
They moved down to the stall where Gyoza Boys used to be. They also have a new menu which Does NOT include stir fried noodles such as Pad See Ew or Pad Thai anymore... Which kinda sucks because when you think or crave for Thai food, one instantly crave their infamous stir fry noodles. I think this is a bad concept that they are trying out and hopefully they bring the classic noodles back! Super disappointed because I loved their stir fried noodles );

Angel B.

Yelp
I was not very busy this day, Most likely be cause it was as hot as satan's shorts. I ord-nerded spicy pork belly. I was promptly served. The plate smelled good. I promptly opened the box and got a better smell. I did notice the fried egg was over done. Main part of having a fried egg on a dish is to have the creamy yolk to permeate the food. I dug into the plate and enjoyed it. the taste was good, the pork was cooked right. It could of been spicier, but it was there. I will have to try their vermicelli next.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been here, so maybe things have changed, but I remember this as the most consistent option in Corporation Food Hall. The pad see ew was very good, so I was disappointed that they didn't have it anymore the second time I came. The tofu summer rolls (tell them to hold the fish sauce) are always fresh and refreshing. I like to eat them last so that I have that clean aftertaste in my mouth. I didn't like the banh mi the one time I tried it. The pineapple fried rice is another winner. Sadly, I must issue a GRATUITOUS MEAT ALERT for Buddha Belly because of all the fish sauce they use. Yes, it's written right there (in tiny letters) on the menu, but there's really no need for it, most of the time. Thanks to my sister--or was it when I came with someone else?--for pointing out the fish sauce before I ordered. If you're seeing a show at the United Theater on Broadway (formerly the Theatre at Ace Hotel), Buddha Belly is a convenient and quick place to eat beforehand.

Yelp
Finally, a pho spot on Spring Street! I'm a big fan of pho and have tried several places in and around the LA area. The pho ga here is really tasty, delicious broth, a generous amount of white meat chicken, and fresh aromatic herbs and toppings. I've enjoyed this meal at least 5 times, and the quality is consistent every time. 10/10

Yelp
I come here every time I get a haircut in DTLA and this place is good. I like the vibe of the Corporation Food hall whenever I visit. I enjoy getting the pad see ewe here at Buddha Belly and it's decent, fills you up to a certain extent. A little pricey for the portions they give as I would normally get at other places. Given the thought of the pandemic too, I think that's why they raised up the prices so I get it? But still, a little expensive for how much they give. They do tend to give more noodles than meat sometimes. One main thing that keeps me coming here is their Lychee Lemonade! There is only one size for the drink and they used to have it in a large but they only do one size now. This drink is DELICIOUS! I would definitely recommend this drink if you ever visit this location to eat or grab a bite/snack at the food hall. Service is decent and not bad at all. Workers are very friendly and I have not had any issues at all. Overall, I tend to gravitate towards here most of the time every time I visit.

Yelp
We ordered via Ubereats and the food came within 30 minutes. Tom Kha Soup ($13.99): I don't think I've seen a spicy sour coconut soup before so I wanted to try it. The soup is suppose to come with a side of rice but they forgot it. The soup itself doesn't look very appetizing and is a different color than what's shown on the picture. The picture looks like the soup is more coconut based but what I got was pretty red so more of the Tom Yum flavor. It was pretty darn salty so I had to have rice with it and diluted it with warm water. The vegetables were plentiful. The chicken wasn't bad but they skimped on the amount. Spicy Pork Belly Rice/Ka Prow Belly ($13.99): This was highly recommended on Yelp so we were excited to try it but it didn't live up to the hype. It had a strange taste I couldn't put my finger on; my husband said it had that street food taste. I didn't like it so I only had a few bites.

Martina W.

Yelp
I came all the way here to order Thai food (one of the noodle dishes on the menu). I even tried calling ahead of time to place the order over the phone. When I arrived, they said they no longer have any noodle dishes... So they basically didn't have anything on the menu, let alone anything I came in for. Very disappointed in the waste of time.

A B.

Yelp
Delicious grilled tofu rice bowl! Fresh veggies and nicely charred tofu. We also ordered a lemongrass chicken banh mi (not pictured) that was packed full of meat and pickled veggies. If I had to choose, I would suggest the rice bowl as a well-executed healthy lunch choice.

Steven R.

Yelp
First off, for a 2 man crew in the middle of food hall in Downtown this place is serving some of the best Thai food in LA. This place is quick and fresh. Perfect for lunch or a take out dinner. I ordered the pork belly rice. On the spicy side for sure. Meat was good quality. Also ordered the green curry which was very solid but a bit on the spicy side as well. Overall this spot is killing it. Staff is friendly too.

Monica J.

Yelp
My all-time favorite lunch spot in DTLA is Buddha Belly. I have only always ordered the spicy basil chicken. The ground chicken with just the right amount of spice. The portions are enough for two or three meals. The two gentlemen working are always kind.

Gen M.

Yelp
We ate here last night and we were not impressed. We both had some of the most lackluster Thai noodle dishes that we've had in a long time. Not much of a flavor profile, hardly any broccoli or shrimp in the pad see ew (and then why charge extra for shrimp if there are maybe 4 medium shrimp?). We won't be back--lots of other places to get tasty Thai in town.

Valerie C.

Yelp
We came across this place in the food court unintentionally. We were going to get some Jamaican food and changed our mind last minute. The menu is pretty simple, with some stable Thai rice and noodles dishes, and some rolls and grilled proteins. We order the Pad Kee Mao and grilled pork skewers. I typically don't have high hopes for fast food places in food court, but I was surprised to find our dinner not only delicious but also authentic. My Thai iced tea was perfect too, not too bitter or too watery. Price is fair for DTLA, and service is friendly. Will definitely come back in the future.

Judah Y.

Yelp
I think for the amount of food I received, the price was a bit too much. $15 for vermicelli noodles with pork! Most Vietnamese restaurants I go to range between $10-$13 and I get a lot more than what I received. I was very disappointed because I was so hungry after a long work day and sitting in DTLA traffic to get here. The disappointment continued with the taste! It wasn't what I wanted, not very authentic. However, the service was spectacular and is really carrying this review. The cashier went above and beyond, left the cash register to go a few shops down to get hoisin sauce for me since they didn't have any. I really appreciated that! I probably won't be back to that food court for them specifically, but there's other restaurants to try! And they're dog friendly.

Connie C.

Yelp
Ordered due to a promo on door dash. It arrived with a visible hair on a piece of meat. Also that dish (vermicelli salad bowl) was made with pork instead of the chicken I had asked for. I know mistakes happen so didn't want to give less than 2 stars. The flavor was decent on my banh mi but why did they have to char up the bread so much? Low key burnt it. Delivery was super fast (maybe because they didn't read my order details...). I work close by but would not recommend it.

Niko A.

Yelp
Work in the area and decided to stop by here for a quick lunch and was really disappointed because I love Thai food. Unfortunately the beef pad see ew was incredibly bland, i almost couldn't believe it cause the color was so good but unfortunately there just wasn't any sauce or flavor with it. Everything tasted like pretty much nothing, I couldn't even say it tasted salty or just like salt cause it wasn't even like that either. Service was really good, the young man who helped was nice and the service was quick, just soured by how utterly bland the pad see ew was.

Gregory G.

Yelp
I was in the mood for some Thai food and I happened to stumble upon this place. It's hard to find since it's in a food hall with no visible sign from the street. But once you're inside, them smell will bring you right ip to their counter. I ordered the Pad Ke Mao (Drunken Noodles). Since we're still in a pandemic, i had to take my food to go. But to my surprise, when i got back to my office, the food was still piping hot!! The heat on their frying pans must be in another level. The flavor was really strong. The basil was fresh and it had just the right amount of heat from the chili peppers. Thai people have a really strong flavor palette. So, who would have Thai food if it isn't spicy? Needless to say, once indoor dining resumes. You'll find me here sweating with drops of joy as I can eat their delicious food straight from the stove and not have to wait til I get back to my office.

Angie M.

Yelp
This place is tasty! Of all the pad thai I've tried ( a lot) this has probably been the most flavorful. The gentleman taking the orders had great energy as well. The lychee lemonade was too sweet for me personally, but the noodles made up for it. Food came out quick and was well balanced.

Kiley M.

Yelp
First time here and ordered the spicy pork belly bowl. I wasn't sure if it was gonna be worth the $16, but the food turned out really good. Good amount of meat to rice, sauce was savory/spicy, and you can taste the wok flavor. One of the most authentic things I've tried here in LA. $16 is indeed expensive. I'll have to come back another time when I want to treat myself. I finished the whole thing before I can take a pic.

Derek P.

Yelp
First, this place is still open. Not sure why this shows up as permanently closed. Wow. I was skeptical of a $13 banh mi sandwich but when I received this monster sandwich, I was sold on the very generous portion of lemongrass pork. The first bite hit the spot - very tasty, authentic, fresh and with that warmed baguette, perfect. Thanks to the one man band at the stall - solid. Will be back to try the other menu items.

Mechell G.

Yelp
Located in the Corporation Food Hall. I enjoyed the yummy Tom Kha soup tasted hot and fresh. However for the price it seemed as if the portion was a wee bit too small.

Brianna M.

Yelp
I ordered on door dash so I can't speak to the in house experience but this is my review on the pad thai and pad se ew. The food is a generous portion and I made special adjustments to my order and they were perfectly executed. The pad se ew is AMAZING and so flavorful that I would definitely order again. However, the pad thai (which is usually my favorite) was definitely a let down. When I opened the container it was very dry and has little flavor. I suspect this is due to the delivery time but I was very disappointed. I added the sweet red sauce (delicious) and mixed lime juice into the noodles which made it better but not amazing. TLDR Pad Thai delivery: 6.5/10 Pad se ew delivery: 9/10

Cathy L.

Yelp
Ordered the Pad see ew for pick up. It was so disgusting, I only ate the meat and threw the rest away. The noodles were complete mush and there was one large chunk of scrambled egg.

Diana B.

Yelp
Vietnamese vermicelli salad bowl is excellent. Light, fresh, refreshing and elegant - this was an unexpected delight. Wow Lychee Lemonade makes you smile. Simple quality flavor with just enough sweetness.

Rachel S.

Yelp
Pretty good place in DTLA. We came to look at rings at the jewelery district, but because of the election, everything was closed/boarded up. We parked, paid $10 to park only to discover that everything was closed. So we came to the food hall to grab lunch. I was debating between the pad thai and the pad kee maw, but went with the pad kee mao with shrimp. My bf got the Ka Prow with Chicken and we both got a drink - I got the lychee lemondae and he got the Thai Iced Tea. My drink was good but super sweet. My bf thought the Thai Iced Tea was interesting... Our food came out maybe 5-7 minutes later. I enjoyed my food but I kinda had buyer's remorse as it didn't quite hit the spot like the Pad Thai might have. But overall the food was pretty good.

Lindsey W.

Yelp
Every time I've ordered the garlic basel fries they arrive as regular fries not even with season! Please if you advertise as something don't do it half ass if you're going to charge a customer. The cook just seems lazy at this point and like they don't care about the job or what they give customers. Added a photo so you can clearly see that what was delivered is not what you advertised at all. I just got bland tasteless fries potatoes.

East Coast C.

Yelp
This place closes at 9:15 NOT 10PM like they claim!!!!! I WENT HERE AT 9:25 and they are already cleaning up!!!!! STOP SAYING ITS 10PM This is ridiculous!!!

E C.

Yelp
Flavor wise not bad but so little meat! I know it was ~$10 but over 75% of the container was rice in my chicken kra pow! Even if it's slightly cheaper than other place not worth all of their pure carbs of rice and noodles without vegetables and meat. Price was cheap for LA and flavor was okay so 3*.

Marissa L.

Yelp
My third time eating here and again they don't disappoint. The food is very good here I highly recommend. The 2nd time ordering I was helped by a very nice gentleman who made my order exactly how I wanted it. I'm vegan so he was able to accommodate my needs. The third time I went he remembered me and my order and made it exactly to my liking. I will definitely be ordering from Buddha Belly in the future they are quick, friendly and will make your food exactly how you like it. Thanks Buddha Belly yum!!!! Vegan Friendly!

Tellie N.

Yelp
Been here couple of times. First time went here was Thursday night not busy at all. Got the Ka prow pork belly it's good but the pork suppose to be crispy, what happen?!! And it's says on the menu "spicy crispy pork" ..smh! It's very saucey and fatty. Also tried the grilled chicken spring roll I thought it was okay, nothing special. Second time went here Sunday lunch time with my sister. I actually suggested this to my sister because I thought their food is good. So this time I got different thing Grilled lemongrass and pork banh mi. The pork bang mi - flavor is good but the pork it's a bit tough to eat. Also, my sister tried the Ka prow pork belly and she didn't like it. I feel sad for her. Service is good!!! ^____^ I don't think I would go back here.

Josh B.

Yelp
Pretty good spot located in the Corporation Food Hall. Came for dinner on a Sunday night and there was plenty of open seating available. The Ka Prow Pork Belly was pretty good. Great meal!

Wayne C.

Yelp
Was curious about the place after coming for funculo pasta. Its all in this nice small market in DTLA. Good food, I'd come back. Food: ka prao pork belly rice bowl, la prao tofu rice bowl. Both were solid, good food. Price: very reasonable, 10-12 a dish and they give good portions Service: nice, pretty fast, no wait Ambiance: it's a food court but plenty of seating. Parking: crap because downtown la.

Cassandra C.

Yelp
Ordered dinner from here off Postmates - Pad Se Ew and Nem Noung rolls. Pad Se Ew was great, portion was just right. The sad piece were this "rolls" that we got...the photos speak for themselves. Not only were they fused together, they were also fused to the platter they came in and just completely fell apart and went everywhere. Ended up having to eat with a fork. They were delicious, but just a pity that they were packaged so poorly and clearly not planned ahead of time. Would definitely give these a miss next time

Joseph A.

Yelp
Buddha Belly... Just the name sounds appealing, however, thought this place to be a little better than the average Southeast Asian (Thai/Vietnamese) restaurant. This restaurant is located in the newly opened Corporation Food Hall close to the corner of 7th/Spring Street in DtLA. Menu consist of Southeast Asian cuisine from noodles, rolls, grilled meats, sandwiches, and rice bowls.. I've given this place a chance twice.. The first time I had ka prow pork belly. The menu mentioned the pork was crispy, however, didn't turn out to be. The pork was deep fried, however, not crispy parts and half fat. Flavor overall was good with a mixture of garlic, onions, jalapenos and came with a fried egg. Second time around, I ordered the lemongrass pork bowl. Honestly, thought my bowl would come out like the pictures I saw.. Thinly sliced beef with char marks. All I received was thick chunks of pork. Not as appealing as I thought it would be. Flavor was okay that came with pickled carrots & daikon, cucumbers and peanut sauce. Service here was unfriendly. I asked for a cup of for water and they mentioned they didn't have any. Let me guess, do I have to pay for a fork too or should I bring my own?

Darlene H.

Yelp
Scrumptious egg rolls and the wide-noodle dish with shrimp is great! Fast service! I'll be back!

Aaron H.

Yelp
In a small little Packing house like environment. You can always opt out and order from another store since there are so many options. Parking: Street Parking is your best bet. Its busy though! Don't try the whole foods because cars do get towed from there. If you have a bigger party, they can help walk around and stand in parking spots, but kind of a jerk move. Service thoughts: the dude was pretty chill. He did kind of rushed the order even though there was no one behind me, but that didn't bother me. Food thoughts: I actually wanted to try Soom Soom across the way first, but I saw a couple of fellas eating the buddha bowls and it looked way more appetizing. The bowl itself was not filled to the brim which made the bowl look sad, so not the best impression. However, the pork belly was really filling (since it is a bunch of fat). Therefore, it is also a heavy kind of bowl. They have a lot of sauces around the place. You cannot really customize your bowl, it will cost extra and it adds up. Would I try it again? Not for awhile. But wouldn't be opposed to that idea.

Victoria L.

Yelp
We ordered the pork bahn mi and chicken pad Thai. It was delectable. My friend and I shared since we got a tasting from 3 others spots. The pork was moist and juicy and the pad Thai was a perfect blend of spices. I would definitely want to come back and try other things on the menu.

Michael P.

Yelp
This place is legit enlightenment for your bellies!! I work nearby and come here at least twice a week. I often go for the pork belly rice and never a meal I don't miss without lychee lemonade. Heck, I even order lychee lemonade here every time, even though I don't get food here! Today, I finally write my review after months of avoiding the banh mi section. Nobody in this world ever makes fusion banh mi and correctly brings the taste of Vietnam into my heritages baguettistry. I'm beating myself up for not trying it months before. Had the lemongrass chicken banh mi, and I approve of this fusion here!!! Go try one for yourself

Denis S.

Yelp
Lemongrass chicken spring rolls are the bomb. Beautifully seasoned and grilled to perfection, great proportion of noodles and veggies, delicious rice paper. The sauce was just eh, but the rest was great. Is this the fanciest place? No. Is it a little overpriced? Yes, but I imagine that's a product of their rent. Will definitely be back.

Joe M.

Yelp
My go to Thai spot in the area. Both my girl and I love it here! The atmosphere at Food Hall is always on point too. Favorite dish of mine is the Drunken Noodles w/ tofu. Can't go wrong! The staff is also always very friendly. They even occasionally hook my dog up with some chicken when I bring him with me. Great food, fair prices, friendly staff. What more could you ask for?

Danielle M.

Yelp
It took a while for anyone to acknowledge us. I finally asked the cook if they were ready and another man appeared to take our order. The restaurant did not have any beef today so I was immediately put off. I ordered the chicken pad see ew and it lacked flavor and sauce. I tried to doctor it up with hot sauce but it was still lacking. The Thai Iced Tea was terrible. I'm pretty sure the tea was old or stored incorrectly. It had a bitter taste to it and I wound up tossing it. I ordered my coworker the pork belly rice to go. She gave me some at the office and it was much better than the noodles. Definitely seasoned better with obvious sauce in the bowl. I would have liked the pork to have been crisper but that's just my preference. Meals are about $10 a pop with drinks closer to the $4 mark.

Duke C.

Yelp
I went with the pork belly rice bowl, and it's definitely tasty, but nothing too special about it. Was expecting crispy but it's actually more of a braised texture. Weird thing was it was a bit tough too. The garnishes pairs really well overall along with the perfectly cooked fried egg. Saw a lot of people order noodles so I think I will go with one of those options next time.

Briana V.

Yelp
First time eating here the other night and loved every bit of my fried chicken Banh mi sandwich. Traditional flavors of Banh mi and at a decent price. $10. Made fresh to order. I'll come back and try the pad see ew next time, although I have wanted that sandwich again already and it's only been two days... Only complaint is they don't have free water available for customers. He didn't say they had water bottles just told me it was lychee lemonade and Thai iced tea in the large drink fountains and canned sodas available.

Nick M.

Yelp
A fun space to have lunch in. Lots to choose from. I had the spicy BBQ pork which comes in a bowl with some greens and broth. Rice comes on the side. The flavors were good, but the pork was overcooked. Even the addition of the broth couldn't mask that it was dry. Also tried the shrimp rolls, which were better. Fresh tasting and a decent size--you get three for $9. Next time I'll try the pad Thai.

Earl G.

Yelp
Little bit better than average. Solid 3.5 star. Had the pork belly bowl $10. What was great about it besides the nicely done sunny egg was that it was filling and they surprisingly give you a good portion of meat. The meat was more braised, not crispy as advertised. Reminded me of a pork adobo bowl.

Sexy Sax Man S.

Yelp
Love this spot! Food is dankkk and the customer service is on point .. shout-out to Marco for excellent customer service. I will coming back all the time .. try the lychee lemonade ! -SSM Sergio Flores The sexysaxman.com
