"A Pan-Asian restaurant that was the longest-running tenant at the site, operating from 2005 through 2013 and outlasting subsequent attempts to sustain restaurants in that space." - Mona Holmes

Nice little bistro a stone throw from the beach. Servings were ample and flavorful. Slightly disappointed that the Kra Pow was made with sweet basil instead of holy(Thai) be basil, but it still tasted wonderful. Unfortunately the chop stix were cheap and failed to split evenly. Would visit again.

Best Thai food in the area! They have tons of vegan/vegetarian options - we got the Fresh Summer Rolls, Tom Kha Soup, and the Red Curry. Each item was delicious and the presentation was amazing!

It's a quiet little hole in the wall place, but it's sooo good! Used to go there for my birthdays when we lived in the area! Definitely recommend giving them a try!

Buddas belly is fantastic! They have a full bar, the food is amazing. Crab rangoons are a must! And any variation of their yellow curry! The Thai lettuce wraps are also amazing.

Everything was amazing! From the moment you walk in to the second you walk out! Thai tea is my favorite and this place makes the best Thai tea! Got the traditional pad Thai with chicken & I love that it was wrapped in an egg! & the Hawaiian fried rice. The presentation for both entree was beautiful. Oh can’t forget the curry crab ragoons was also amazing! 10/10 recommend!

My wife and I chose them tonight as it was a place we haven’t been yet, as locals of the beach it is sometimes hard to find food that you haven’t had enough of yet! It was our first visit and I will tell you it was amazing, I had the ruby red curry with squid and my wife had the pepper garlic shrimp, both dishes were amazing, the curry was creamy and smooth and the garlic pepper shrimp were tender and sweet. We had the crab Rangoon’s as an appetizer and those were also quite good. We will definitely be eating here again!

My Rating: 5/5 Buddha Thai Bistro is Lovely Buddha Thai Bistro is a standout among the numerous Thai restaurants in the Jacksonville Beach area, offering an ambiance and decor that sets it apart from the rest. This venue, with its carefully crafted family tradition recipes, is a perfect place to indulge in authentic Thai cuisine. During our visit, my dining companion and I started with the infamous Thai iced tea, which was refreshingly sweet and creamy, a perfect complement to the starter. We also enjoyed the egg rolls, which were a delightful mix of seasoned chicken, cabbage, shiitake mushrooms, bean threads, and celery, served with a delicious house-made sweet-and-sour sauce. For the main course, we ordered the emerald green curry. This dish featured a vibrant blend of purple small eggplants, zucchini, green peppers, carrots, and Thai rice. The flavor infusion was simply brilliant, and the presentation was reminiscent of a five-star establishment. Each bite was a testament to the care and expertise that goes into every dish at Buddha Thai Bistro. What truly stood out, beyond the delectable food, was the exceptional friendliness and service. The staff's attentiveness and warm hospitality were above standard, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Whether you are a local or a visitor from out of town, Buddha Thai Bistro offers an elevated dining experience that is sure to impress with its exceptional food, inviting atmosphere, stylish decor, and outstanding service.

My wife and I were really excited to try Buddha's Belly after hearing some good things, but we were left pretty underwhelmed. The service was quick and the restaurant itself was clean, which was nice. However, the food was just really, really bland. We ordered a few different dishes to get a good sense of the menu, and each one lacked the vibrant, bold flavors you expect from Thai cuisine. It tasted more like something you'd get from a generic food service company rather than a kitchen that takes pride in its cooking. It's a shame, because it has a lot of potential. I'm hoping it was just an off night for the kitchen.
