Google
Nice little bistro a stone throw from the beach. Servings were ample and flavorful. Slightly disappointed that the Kra Pow was made with sweet basil instead of holy(Thai) be basil, but it still tasted wonderful. Unfortunately the chop stix were cheap and failed to split evenly. Would visit again.

Google
Food was delicious and very flavorful. One thing I didn’t like was that you can’t keep the decorative cup that the signature cocktails come in. And if you’re not a drinker I wouldn’t recommend the signature cocktails because they are a bit strong. Over all the staff was friendly and the restaurant is clean. I would recommend and id definitely come back.

Google
Buddhas belly is the best Thai food in Jacksonville. All the food is made with love. There isn't a single dish I've had here that hasn't made me want to get up and start dancing. Everything is so flavorful and the staff is so kind, the more you come the more you are treated like family thank you buddhas belly for everything🙏

Google
It's a quiet little hole in the wall place, but it's sooo good! Used to go there for my birthdays when we lived in the area! Definitely recommend giving them a try!

Jasmin T.

Google
Best Thai food in the area! They have tons of vegan/vegetarian options - we got the Fresh Summer Rolls, Tom Kha Soup, and the Red Curry. Each item was delicious and the presentation was amazing!

lauren A.

Google
Buddas belly is fantastic! They have a full bar, the food is amazing. Crab rangoons are a must! And any variation of their yellow curry! The Thai lettuce wraps are also amazing.

Amy W.

Google
Ordered the eggplant dish and was very surprised to see only three small pieces in the eggplant entre. Jasmine rice was good as expected. The entrée was OK. Two star spice is basically no spice. Love that they have vegan options, disappointed that I couldn’t call and place the order. Required to order online for pick up. I’d like to give them another chance since my friends recommended this place.

Sandy T.

Google
Everything was amazing! From the moment you walk in to the second you walk out! Thai tea is my favorite and this place makes the best Thai tea! Got the traditional pad Thai with chicken & I love that it was wrapped in an egg! & the Hawaiian fried rice. The presentation for both entree was beautiful. Oh can’t forget the curry crab ragoons was also amazing! 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
I am very new to Thai food, but a friend wanted to check this restaurant out for her birthday. And I am glad I was open minded, as it was a really good experience. We arrived in town late for our reservation and they still accommodated us with no issues. Everything we had from the sampler, lettuce wraps, drunken noodles to the curry were delicious. The drinks were not super strong, but they were good and it came in a cute little Buddha. They have a private parking area for customers and I appreciated the very clean bathroom. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
3.5- Got takeout here and it is a nicely decorated restaurant. The girl who rang us up was nice too. We got a lunch special which was a good price for all the food. The food was ok. I didn't love the soup and the chicken was the best but still not my favorite. I would like to order something else next time and see if I like that better!
google avatar

Brianna J.

Yelp
I came here for a girlfriend's birthday dinner and we all had a great time. I got the coconut Tom kha soup with chicken and I also added a side of Jasmine rice. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. I chose level three for my spice level and it was perfect. The jasmine rice really helped offset a little bit of the spice from the soup. 10/10 would definitely get this again when looking up the menu to make sure I have the name correct I also saw that their online price is the same as dining in the restaurant so I appreciate when restaurants do that as well. I also had enough leftover to take some home as well. We had great service no complaints. Can't wait to come back and try something new.

Truthful H.

Yelp
Food was delicious very flavorful the only thing I didn't like was that you don't get to keep the decorative cup that the signature cocktails come it. And if you're not a drinker don't get one of these because it's very strong lol. But over all the staff was friendly and food had a great taste. Ambiance was clean and authentic. Would recommend and I would definitely come back.

Yelp
My trip to Jacksonville was brought to you by Buddha Belly... I guess it's actually called Buddha Thai Bistro, but it will always be known as Buddha Belly to me. We ordered takeout from here on July 3rd to gear up for the 4th festivities, as you got to go into the 4th with a full belly. The one regret was that we only ordered 1 of the drunken noodles and 1 Shu Mai Thai dumpling appetizer. I guess that's 2 regrets, but whatever. The next day while sitting at Lemon Bar, 3 too many High Noons deep and a couple of Zyns tucked high and tight, I was fighting for my life. My big bro had his spidey senses tingle and said "should order Buddha Belly again and ride the bikes back to the house so it gets there at the same time...?" This idea was up there with fighting a war for our Independence over a 3% stamp tax 248 years ago. What better to celebrate our independence from Tyranny? Land of the Free, Home of the Brave. He proceeds to order $220 worth of Buddha Belly, and it gets there 2 minutes after we finished the bike ride home. God is the perfect planner. In total, we got 5 orders of Chicken Curry Puffs, 4 orders of Shu Mai Dumplings, 2 Pad Thais, 2 Drunken Noodles, and a Curry. All of that for 5 people lol. We learned from our mistakes. Fool me once... The Drunken noodles were head and shoulders the MVP. It seems Pad Thai gets more love than Drunken Noodles in general, and I don't know why. It's oddly similar to Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. We WAY over-ordered, but ended up having the leftovers for lunch the next day. So in total, I had 3 Buddha belly meals in a 2 day span and I wasn't even mad... Ig @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

Yelp
We ordered the Buddha Sampler, well sampler it was. The items were very small and fried, kinda reminded me of a Costco Appetizer Sampler a bit bland. So we moved on to the won ton soup and it was delicious, served hot I ordered the large serving and it was plenty for dinner. Service was quick, place was packed not sure we will be back but everyone told us it was the best in Jacksonville Beach!

Yelp
I ordered the Papaya shrimp salad....total ripoff. 2 Shrimps, no Papaya, 4 tomato slices, a few Green bean pieces. This was a take-out order, if I was dining in house it would have been sent back. Terrible and a you lost a customer.

Yelp
This is my new spot !!!!I love their curry chicken done perfectly done not spicy ... tons juice hot . Good portion. Order was to go .the restaurant looked really cozy. The price was priced as everywhere else. Friendly service. Thank you for a great lunch really enjoyed it !!!!

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. The team is friendly and will help you navigate their menu. They have an overwhelming amount of food options, but this is a good thing because you want to try something new each time. This was my first time visiting but, will not be my last time. We also ordered the crab ragoons and spring rolls (not pictured). The lighting is dim and best for family dinner or date night. Check out this local gem.

Yelp
Wonderful food, wonderful service. I had the Thai basil beef (I think the called it "hot stuff Kraw Prow". It was good and fresh! My husband had the red curry and we shared a papaya salad. Everything was great, food and service.

Yelp
I absolutely adore this place! They are always amazing with their takeout food. Normally I get it to go but I finally had a dime in experience, and it was even better! I might have to do that every time! The waitress was super nice and welcoming. Very attentive. My food was absolutely mouth-wateringly tasty and flavorful and delicious. My friend got spicy soup, chicken puffs, and I got chicken satay appetizer, and a stuffed salmon curry entree. I have never tried it before and I am hooked! I am obsessed with their sauces. We also had some tasty drinks from their bar. They have a full parking lot outside and clean bathrooms. I highly recommend.
google avatar

Jill W.

Yelp
Exceptional wait staff. Very friendly and attentive. The happy hour goes until 7pm and has a variety of small bites and drinks. The lettuce wraps are fantastic. The tofu triangles were just ok. A bit more seasoning would really elevate the dish. The Khoi soi was very flavorful. Next time I would have rice on the side and ask for extra veggies. a very solid Thai restaurant in Jax beach. We will be back.

Jada M.

Yelp
The Thai tea at Buddha Bistro is a delightful treat--perfectly creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. It's the ideal refreshment to pair with their flavorful dishes. A must-try!

Yelp
Consistently good food and service. Easy to get into without a reservation. A wide variety of oriental food choices.

Yelp
This Thai restaurant is and always has been consistent and delicious whether you're dining in their lovely dining room or ordering takeout. They take extra care with the food they're serving and I really appreciate that.

Yelp
Buddha Thai Bistro (Buddha's Belly) is the BEST Thai food in Jacksonville! The service is always phenomenal, the drinks are creative and well prepared, the food is incredibly tasty and unique. It feels like home cooking, you can tell they put a lot of love into their products. The owner even came out to meet us. I am very much looking forward to my next visit to Buddha's!

Yelp
Well our family was not able to make it to town for Thanksgiving so we were trying to debate what we should for for the 2 of us, 1 being vegan and 1 meat eater.... Low and behold a posting popped up for Buddha for their 10th annual Vegan Thanksgiving Buffet! It's not often the vegan gets a whole buffet to pick from and we don't have to cook and make a big mess in kitchen for just 2 ppl so we made a reservation. We arrived right on time and promptly led to our table. I was worried when made reservation they were gonna be packed but it was only half full whole time we were there. Food was very good, lots of choices! They also had bottomless mimosas but we decided to eat more and drink less haha We will def come back and try items from regular menu. The buffet wasn't what normally have for thanksgiving but it was a fun change of pace and no work or dirty dishes!!

Yelp
Had lunch today at Buddha Thai Bistro. We heard about it through friends and had an incredible and delicious lunch. Real authentic Thai food and everything to the peanut sauce is made home made. I would love to try their roti and much more next time. We had the chicken satay (chicken is marinated in curry so it is super soft and juicy) appetizer and their sauces/ salads were amazing. We also had the ahi tuna "martini" which was great too. I had the Massaman Curry with beef. You can choose your protein for any curry's and entrees. The Massaman Curry is a Thai-stew style, slowly simmered in coconut milk and peanut with hearty portions of beef, potatoes, carrots and onions. My husband had the orange chicken and said "it was the best orange chicken he has ever had." The staff was super friendly and everything tasted home made and made from scratch. They also have super cool tiki drinks tooAlso, a family owned restaurant and I love supporting authentic and unique restaurants! We really loved the food and everything about our experience. Super friendly and caring staff!

Yelp
After a nice day at the beach came here for a nice quiet dinner. I love their pad Thai noodles and how it comes inside a thin omelette! Highly recommend the espresso martini. Great waitress as well, very polite and chill. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
We went with friends for dinner and have to say the food was very good! Service was a little slow but they, like everyone else, are short on staff. The shumai were the only disappointment- the filling was very dry. The Thai egg rolls were good though. My crispy honey duck was a half of duck - great crispy skin and beautifully cooked and moist. My husbands drunk man noodles also delicious. Thai 3 has some heat but not burning. Plenty of parking. Interior is nothing fancy but pleasant.

Yelp
The vegan options they have here during the Jax Vegan Chef Challenge are totally delicious! I've been here at least five times during June savoring the dishes before the challenge is over. Please keep more vegan options on the permanent menu!

Yelp
Let me say I Tom Kha Gai ( Thai coconut chicken soup). I could have a big bowl of it every day but only if I have it from Buddha Thai Bistro. I have ordered this soup all over Jax and there is only 1 other place that comes close but it's in Riverside That being said, a friend & I went shopping down to HomeGoods in the pouring rain today & decided we had to stop in for a quick bite. The first time I came here it was a bit confusing because there's a big sign that says Buddha Belly but they had to change their name because there was another restaurant with the same. Just make sure you look for the giant Buddha out front you can't miss it. The staff is always friendly and the service is always good. It's a very comfortable place with many booths , which I really appreciate having a bad back. I'm all about comfy places to sit in a restaurant. I didn't even need a menu this time because I knew I was having, a big bowl of the delicious soup.Tom Kha Gai is served in a big bowl with lots of chicken accompanied by slices of onion and red and green pepper. The coconut flavor mix with the lemon grass and lime make it perfect. I always ask for some chili sauce on the side and turn up the spice. My friend ordered her favorite which is Pad Thai. We were both very surprised when it came out as the chef makes it into a sort of omelette. When you cut it open, there are all the noodles inside. She requested for a spice level 2 and said it was plenty spicy enough. She said it had a really good flavor and enjoyed it. This is my fourth or fifth visit to Buddha Thai bistro, and it won't be my last.

Yelp
Absolutely love Buddha Thai Bistro at Jacksonville Beach! Happy hour drinks and tapas daily from 3-6, always fresh and delicious food! Tons of vegan and vegetarian options available all the time. Make sure to ask for their selection of plant-based meats that can be added to any dish!
google avatar

Cheyenne G.

Yelp
My husband and I love Buddha Thai! Thai is always at the top of our list :) The chicken curry puffs and panko shrimp are our fav apps to start. The Pad Thai and any of the rice bowls (Ginger Man or Basil Fried Rice) or drunken noodles are a must too. Top it all off with a Thai iced tea and you're on the right track. Always friendly service and welcoming space!
google avatar

Yelp
Always an exceptional experience. The food, the ambiance, and the service are consistently incredible. I tell everyone about this restaurant. It has been a staple for myself, friends, and family for years. I have never been disappointed.

Yelp
Hugh quality food! Excellent service! Fantastic ambiance! Our favorite Thai Restaurant! can't go wrong. leaves you feeling soulfully warm, fed, and happy.
google avatar

Tish G.

Yelp
We tried this place based on the prior reviews. Maybe it was an off day, but the Thai rice just wasn't good to me. It had a burnt taste and some kind of curry flavor. Possibly an acquired taste? For almost $30, I won't be trying it again. The service was standard. There were no issues on that end.
google avatar

Victoria C.

Yelp
Haven't been here in years! Next thing you know I'm going twice in one day! Dinner and then some late night sweet treats. I wasn't disappointed at all. The ladies working are so sweet and helpful when figuring out what to choose...hence why there was so much food ordered. The happy hour menu is where it's at!! AND if you're sitting at the bar the happy hour menu is available all day and not in a limited time frame. You really can't beat that. I'm excited to become yet another regular at another restaurant. It's a perfect change up. I admire how authentic their dishes are as well as the plate presentation. The ambience is relaxed and a bit quiet which is a nice addition compared to other places where you can't have a conversation. It's safe to say I'm hooked and will be popping in often to check things off their menu one entree and appetizer at a time! Cheers!

Yelp
Not much to look at for outside, but the food is amazing. Best pad Thai I've ever had!
google avatar

Mark O.

Yelp
Food and appetizer was outstanding. Tom Kha soup was actually the best I have eaten. Only real negative is it is apparent they are short staffed with help wanted sign when you walk in the door and our waitress Juliet playing waitress, bartender, and seating people. I had drank my water and sweet tea and thought I was going to have to self serve my own drinks.
google avatar

Stacey L.

Yelp
I went here a few days ago with my bf on a Sunday night and it was PACKED! The only reason why I'm giving this a 4 star review is because we waited a long time to get seated AND wait for our food. About 30-45 mins. They are short staffed so just a heads up if you plan to come here on a weekend. Def get a reservation if you can! Some people that came in for online order pickups had to wait a bit also and we saw lots of frustrated angry people leave. The economy is rough right now so as a friendly reminder: please be patient and kind towards anyone in the food industry! The hostess was wonderful and handled things really well here. She kept things professional and apologized to a customer for a mishap with their online order. We ordered a ruby red curry with chicken and also the tom kha soup with just veggies. Dessert was mango with forbidden rice and it was delicious. We've been here a few times in the past whenever we were on this side of town. If you want some good Thai food by the beaches, definitely stop by here (:

Yelp
Beautiful Thai place. I went here for My brothers birthday and this place was delicious! Outside it doesn't look like that much but inside you will be amazed at how beautiful and chic the interior is. Step into Thailand right at your city... Location- 301 10th Ave N, Jacksonville, Florida 32250 Interior- not much on the outside but chic and beautiful when you walk in. From chill to social you can find yourself in dark brown colors to gold and red. Bamboo interiors and Buddha gold statues around the restaurant. So asian inspired of course. Great for a date night or a casual lunch. Food- the pad Thai wrapped in egg was delicious as well as their dumplings and shrimp fried egg rolls. The dessert consisted of sweet fried banana egg roll with vanilla ice cream. Super delicious Service- on par. Waiter was helpful, knowledgeable and consistent. Pricing - fair and the portions were good. Overall 5 stars all around!

Christina S.

Yelp
I have tried a majority of Thai food in Jacksonville and this place is easily one of my favorites! It's located a couple of blocks from the ocean and tucked away in a strip mall with a good amount of parking considering it's so close to the beach. You can spot it by the big Buddha statue outside! It's definitely a bang for your buck since I go home with leftovers for the next day every time. The vegan and vegetarian options are AMAZING! Some places don't know how to cook their tofu, but this place does! I think it's important to note that this place is owned by actual Thai people. This makes the food extra delicious and authentic, I am never disappointed!

Yelp
$25 for seafood green curry with not much protein and definitely left me still Hungry. It's dumpy inside, dirty menus, and overpriced. Don't understand the positive reviews. I
google avatar

Mark R.

Yelp
The rating tonight really goes to our server she was excellent the reason why I'm not giving at 5star's tonight is because the food quality was not the same as it used to be. Granted they have more vegan and vegetarian options they ran out of the vegetarian chicken. The vegetarian beef was excellent I tried that from a family member, however, I got the vegetarian shrimp and not only was it tasteless, was like eating a piece of rubber band. I was very very very disappointed in that it was no flavor at all and just a chewy piece of rubber. Again our waitress was phenomenal I wished I got her name. If I go back I would do the vegetarian beef. I did tell the waitress that she may want to refrain from recommending the fake shrimp and if someone asks for it to guide them away.

Caitlin F.

Yelp
I come here specifically for an espresso martini, tom yum soup, and a drunk man noodle. I sit at the bar and the service is always on point. Mia is such a great server as well, never leaves me hanging waiting on something or forgets anything. Pro Tip, if you enjoy spice but not a spice overload, go with a spice level 2. You can ask for a spice tray to add more if you'd like, but you can't remove spice once it's been added lol.

Yelp
Very cute spot with authentic Thai decor. We enjoyed our food and had fun exploring the menu that had a very creative touch to all of the names of traditional Thai dishes. We had to wait to be seated, but our waitress Jasmine was sweet and appreciative for our patience.

Bernadette T.

Yelp
I typically always sit at the bar. Great service and the food is amazing. Friendly owner and the rewards program is the best I've experienced

Terri B.

Yelp
Awesome service. Was alone and sat at the bar. Nice atmosphere. Red curry with chicken was terrific!!

Ben M.

Yelp
Cool place! Extremely clean inside with a unique and interesting atmosphere. The decor adds to the overall experience. Glad we came here and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Everything I've had here is AMAZING. Best Thai food in Jacksonville for sure. Many vegan options also! Staff is super friendly as well.

Yelp
I thought about this for a while before posting it, so here it is. I would give this poser of a restaurant minus stars if it was possible. We ate here many times before it changed hands and since then the quality of the food being served has dramatically spiraled to a level of heat and eat bogus Thai food from the freezer section. We have eaten at many authentic Thai restaurants over the years from coast to coast and this place wins the booby prize for pretending. This was our second venture there in the past couple of months and gave them a mulligan the first time thinking well maybe the chef had an off day, whatever. Sorry, not sorry. You got us to the tune of over a hundred dollars for styrofoam containers filled with tasteless crap, noodles clumped together, and raw, cold veges. I just hope the chicken was real as I don't like the idea of eating cat. I predict you won't make it to 2025! Aloha you sad imitation "Thai"
google avatar

Melissa W.

Yelp
Best Tom Kha soup ever! I'm obsessed with this place. Panang curry is also fire, and yellow too.

Yelp
We have been wanting to try Buddha's Belly (Thai Bistro) for some time now! It was the perfect day for lunch because it was not busy at all! We started with the crab ran-goons, which were delicious however not your typical Rangoon's due to the yellow curry addition. It gave it an additional great flavor. We followed it up with the pad Thai. We had never seen paid Thai prepared this way, wrapped in an egg omelet. We were a little skeptical but it was AMAZING!!! The egg omelet exterior was thin and extra fluffy. The pad Thai flavoring was absolutely divine! The noodles were cooked to perfection and the service was absolutely fantastic! I believe our servers name was Morgan? (I'm sorry if I'm mistaken!) she was fantastic, Extra quick and attentive! Also, thank you for your patience with my friends baby girl!

Yelp
I had this place saved on my food bucket list in Jacksonville, so for Christmas I gathered with my cousin, aunt, and mom for lunch. When I got there to get a table, I was the first guest there, so the pick of tables was infinite. I chose a corner booth for all of us and ordered a Thai Iced Tea, my favorite drink. Once everyone arrived, we looked over the menus and ordered. We chose spring rolls and dumplings as starters, and I went with the Yellow Sapphire Curry with shrimp. We visited with each other for a little bit, then our food came out and we started eating. The food was hot, with fresh ingredients, including crisp vegetables, flavorful spices, and plump shrimp. I ended up ordering another thai tea too, they were that good! Our waitress was so sweet and kind and made our visit wonderful. I'm glad I finally checked this place off my list and hope to be back soon!

Yelp
In A Nutshell: -Buddha Thai Bistro is located in Jacksonville Beach. -They have a very nicely decorated restaurant, which I only stopped by to pick up a take out order. -The duck, pad thai & papaya salad were all super delicious. -I was hoping I would get whole duck vs. quarter, but it was cooked perfectly. Overall, I recommend grabbing some good Thai food here.

Yelp
Food is always good, kind of expensive but worth it. To go soup could be bigger for what you pay otherwise I'm happy with portions.
google avatar

Valerie W.

Yelp
I'll start off by saying I live across the street so I'm bias to any neighborhood love. BUT, hear me out. Best happy hour by FAR around. I believe it's 4-7.. cocktails, wine and apps are such a good deal on happy hour it's nearly too good to be true. I'm a firm believer that food always taste better when you aren't paying full price. Now, GREEN CURRY. I used to work on cruise ships and one itinerary I did for awhile had me stopping in Kauai Hawaii every Wednesday. A small, hidden, Thai restaurant with the best green curry I would go by myself as often as I could. No place compared. This is the closest(BY FAR!!) that I have found to the heaven on earth green curry of Hawaii. I like it extra spicy and I switch up my proteins depending on my mood. Basically, if you are in the mood for a 'cozy' meal, come here(preferably before happy hour ends at 7!). I've always been impressed with the service. I'm also always impressed as I never know what to expect as far as crowds. It could be that my table is the only ones eating for the whole duration of our time, or tonight, there was every table full. Take out is BIG here.

Yelp
Excellent food and friendly staff. The interior is a little fancy with relaxing lounge music. Kids portions are good and tasty for the kids.
